Feeling confident, Horatio's teeth line themselves up with both fire and dark energy; like a houndoom, the fire hound leaps towards the glaceon and begins tearing through his weak body tirelessly (-15% - Glaceon; -10% - Horatio).

Glaceon retreats from Horatio's grip, and blasts him a powerful ice beam (-7% - Horatio; -5% - Glaceon).

Valentina decides to let out some pent-up frustration by bashing her foe repeatedly, causing him to bat up and down as if he were a boxing bag (-8% - Carnivine; -5% - Valentina). Carnivine, not having that, pulls himself together and whips out his vines once more, latching onto Valentina's left leg and lifting her off the ground before tightening their grip (-4% - Valentina; -2% - Carnivine).

Valentina, upside down, freezes her right hand and violently slams it into the vines that imprison her (-5% - Carnivine; -5% - Valentina); Carnivine's grip loosens and Valentina falls to the ground, taking minimal damage (-1% - Valentina). She quickly pulls herself back up and her hand, still encased in ice, gets a more direct hit in Carnivine's face (-10% - Carnivine; -5% - Valentina). Carnivine winces in pain whilst shrilling up before unhinging himself from the tree and fighting more personally. Carnivine spits out a puddle of purple ooze which crashes into Valentina, which begins syphoning her health (-1% - Valentina; -5% - Carnivine) as the round comes to a close.

Glaceon looks limp; seeing your opportunity, you hold up the great ball for a second and quickly toss it at the icy pokemon, sucking it in upon impact with a bright red light. Glaceon struggles to escape the orb-prison and the ball shakes once... twice... three times... four times...

And finally, the glaceon gives up. As you walk up to the large poke ball to collect your bounty, a large speaker chimes in, "Your Safari Zone quest is over. Please exit to the front gate and collect your pokemon."

More pent-up frustration ensues as the kirlia focuses on the toxins that have invaded her body before bashing the grass pokemon in the head with an increased power (-8% - Carnivine; -6% - Valentina). Carnivine's head falls backwards, but quickly retracts as he sinks his teeth into Valentina's left shoulder, dealing great damage (-10% - Valentina; -7% - Carnivine).

Valentina winces in pain, but retalliates almost instantly with another bashing in the face (-8% - Carnivine; -6% - Valentina). The flytrap pokemon counteracts with a violent whipping from his vines for light damage (-4% - Valentina; -2% - Carnivine).

Smirking to herself, Valentina ends the round by closing her eyes and keeping calm. The immediate are begins to darken as the kirlia and carnivine seemingly switch attributes completely (-8% - Valentina). When the marsh returns to normal, Valentina notes that her arms are now long and stringly, much like a carnivine's. Carnivine, however, has become a victim of his own poison as it begins to sap away at his lifeforce (-3% - Carnivine).

As you both tread down Sunshine Fields, you take note of two cacoon pokemon - one silcoon (f) and one metapod (m). There are several pidgey (m) flying around as well as you wander. In the bushes, you manage to catch eyes with a pichu (f).

What will you do?

Croagunk cheers Valentina on as she bashes the carnivine twice with both arms dipped in an icy mist (-8% + -8% - Carnivine; -6% + -6% - Valentina).

Carnivine attempts to hit her with another vine whip, but his vines are no longer as super-stretchy as they once were, and he only manages to lightly tap his foe (-2% - Valentina; -1% - Carnivine). Valentina finishes out by shooting her right arm, now rubbery (and still covered in ice) at the vine pokemon (-8% - Carnivine; -6% - Valentina), causing him to fall to the floor.

The carnivine is too weak to do anything else as the poison continues to eats away at the last of his health (-6% - Carnivine / Overkill). Croagunk looks at you, quite pleased. Valentina does as well, but she is quite tired and looks as if she needs to take a nap.

Well this just won't do. Silencer steps forward and returns his blundering about Charizard. A rather sad site that, a great dragon walking into trees . . . Silencer sighs and motions for Chidori to step up. She does and the Leafeon looks to this new opponent and immediately makes his move. He runs up to the Electabuzz and leaps. Whirling in mid air he turns and whacks his glowing tail into Chidori's head. She yelps and grabs her head, looking very dazed.

Leafeon doesn't stop there; he immediately goes into very aggravating moves and poses, calling Chidori all sorts of things. He snarls and then immediately goes back to mocking, anything to get her 'roaring mad'. It works, and she starts cussing and yelling at him, absolutely furious. She stomps forward and just starts punching, kicking anything to shut the infuriating creature up and hurt him greatly.

The Leafeon is hurt and very angry with Chidori. He isn't quite thinking straight himself anymore and leaps up from is bruised and battered position on the forest floor, and crashes into the looming Chidori. He is glowing white a little, but because he isn't inflicted with a status condition, he doesn't do a huge amount of damage. Chidori has been knocked somewhat to her senses though, and she freezes her fist and smashes it into the Leafeon side. He yelps and is sent rolling away.

Chidori is feeling plenty happy with the pain she just caused the Leafeon. He is just lying on the ground, moaning. She grins and hears he trainers orders to use psychic. This pleases her and she lifts up the prone fox. He squeaks and starts to struggle but it is useless. Chidori starts flinging him around with her mind, crashing him through the bushes and against trees. He yelps and shrieks with every slam and when she finally let's him go he drops to ground, whimpering. She smiles and he glares at her with utter hatred. He weakly gets to his feet and wobbles as he stands. He takes a deep breath and then starts to jog at Xhidori, he slowly gains speed till he is running at a good clip. He snarls as he leaps at Chidori and chomps down right on her face. She shrieks and starts to try and shake him loose but he is kicking, scratching, biting, anything to cause her pain. He is one very pissed of Leafeon.

When he is finally flung loose he skids and rolls to a stop. He slowly gets to his feet, still has mad as before, but starting to pant in weariness. You step forwards and he looks at you and snarls as you enlarge the Great Ball. You throw it at him while he is leaping to try and avoid it. You get a lucky shot and it smacks into his tail. He is in mid leap as he gets sucked into the ball. It rattles and shakes as it hits the ground; he is not giving in without a fight. Finally it stops moving and a few seconds later a ding is heard. Congrats! You have caught the Leafeon!

A large plain that overlooks TPML, the grass is soft and the air tasty. A plethora of grass Pokemon are found here as they enjoy the tickling breeze and the bright sunshine. Bird and normal-types are also found here..

A Pidgeotto wings down through the jungle and takes your Great Ball up and away to the Office. Right on it's heals is a Pidgeot, come to take you to Sunshine Fields. You return Chidori and happily clamber aboard. It shoots up through the small opening in the trees and heads even farther inland. It takes a while to get there; as you have to cross the swamp and another forest before can even glimpse it. In the distance you can see TPML as the Pidgeot goes into a lazily spiral to take you to the ground. Closer is the Old Village, looking rather ramshackle even form this height.

He lands, you thank him and he nods, taking off again for TPML. You release both your Pokémon and notice that Hao eyesight is much better. Not perfect but nearly 100%. You start to wander through the tall grass, the flowers bobbing in the gentle breeze. This is much better then the humid air of the jungle. You can just spot a Wurmple scurrying through the grass, trying to get as far away from you as fast as possible. A Skiploom is also drifting by, quite pleased with himself as he floats along. Finally you can just see a Mime Jr. in the distance watching you curiously.

You both stop and wait for Hao's eyes to clear up. They are barely bothering him anymore, but you certainly don't mind the wait here in this very peaceful place. Finally he gives you the nod and you all start walking again. Hao takes to the air, gliding lazy circles on the plentiful thermals. You walk forward and before long see a Zigzagoon and Raticate scraping it out. You watch this, wondering what in the world they could be fighting over.

Just then though an Oddish pops up out of the ground to the left of Chidori. She scares the bejeezes out of the Electabuzz and Chidori leaps toward you in fright before feeling very chagrined as the Oddish falls over laughing. Finally a Altaria and Pidgeotto's shadows pass and you look up to see the pair of them whirling around each other as they fly past overhead.

You glance at the hill and see a dark pokemon, an absol (f) barking at the sun for whatever reason. A metang clumsily hovers around with a larvitar (m) sitting on his head, both slightly afraid of all the dark pokemon wandering freely.

The day grows tired, and nightall is imminent. You and your two pokemon proceed through the death trap cautiously, while keeping your eyes open for pokemon of interest.

A glameow (f) rests lazily on a dying treebranch overhead, but the branch snaps in two, possibly from old age; the branch nearly hits your head, if not for Judge's quick thinking. The starmie blasts the tree branch with a quick blast of water, knocking it far away from you. The glameow, however, had leapt off and landed safely on the ground next to you, meowing innocently.

Another intriguing pokemon catches your eye - a rotom. The electric pokemon looks weak, as if it needs energy. A duskull (m) hovers around the rotom, wondering what he could do to help out his ghostly friend.

What will you do?

A large plain that overlooks TPML, the grass is soft and the air tasty. A plethora of grass Pokemon are found here as they enjoy the tickling breeze and the bright sunshine. Bird and normal-types are also found here..

Hao changes his flight on your call and wings over to the two flying Pokémon. They stop their games as he approaches, calling to them. The stay back, wary but as he confers to them that he means no harm, only his trainer wishes to ask a question, they look at each other. They seem to decide something and rollover to face you landing about ten feet away. They are prepped to fly away but seem slightly more relaxed when Hao lands behind you. You don't go any closer and ask them if either of them would like a trainer.

They think about this and the Altaria shakes his head, rather happy where he is. The Pidgeotto however shrugs as best a bird can. She points with a wing between herself and Hao though and calls loudly. She chatters something else out as well and eyes you challengingly. She wants a battle to see if you are a worthy trainer first, but Hao points to his back and you. Evidently she wants to see if got some guts as well.

You stand with the rotom and duskull (m), pondering what can be done to ease the pain of the ailing electric pokemon. Judge, however, comes up with an idea, and sprinkles the sick pokemon with a weak electric attack. The rotom chirps up, pleased, and Duskull cheers happily.

You turn around, spotting a very large, very intimidating electrode. Knowing that the poke balls you've purchased can't hold it, you attempt to keep away from it - but the electrode shrieks loudly. Rotom and Duskull cower in fear - it would seem that Electrode is what made Rotom so sick.
