Battle

Pure white orbs stream endlessly towards their final destination, a beautiful yet deadly dance that holds great promise for a cataclysmic struggle that may end up to be just futile effort on both sides. Standing firmly on one atom each are a Smeargle and a Kadabra, one whose moniker is derived from a great artist who received almost no veneration until after his death, and the other, bearing the name that translates into crimson, the colour of freshly splattered blood.

Kurenai concentrates and several small, brightly coloured orbs materialise slowly around her to effervesce in a dazzling spectacle of lights. Vincent van Gore ignores the display to draw out a Silph Scope, though no one, except for his crafty trainer, knows why.

Moving quickly, followed closely by her shimmering lights, Kurenai stirkes, putting mental force behind her blow for a truly devastating cut. Van Gore holds back a cry of pain by sheer force of will, and before she can pull away, is already sketching madly.

Recovering quickly from the blows exchanged, the Kadabra puts her considerable mental powers to task, and a narrow beam smashes right into the sketcher, who falls off his atom to land on another. Even as he is falling, he is already busy preparing the counterattack and Kurenai soon finds herself hit hard by a slashing cut along accompanied with mental anguish - a particularly nasty combination.

Ref's Notes:

1. Just for the information of the combatants, I don't ref energy KOs unless requested =)
2. I started off the battle with a 0% chance of getting entirely obliterated because they reached the end of the flow, however, as the battles progress, this percentage will increase.
3. For Safeguard, I chose to use the one that prevents status effects only.
4. I wasn't aware of the fact that Smeargle could only sketch 25 moves o.o
