I think you have too much weakness to Flying. I see after the 50 battles, they start with a Pokemon with super effective against your starter. So, if you start with Sceptile or Blaziken, your in risk of they start with a Flying one.

That reminds me...
I know that Groudon, Kyogre, and Rayquaza are not allowed at the Battle tower, but are the three Regis?

the Regis are allowed, and comp uses them quite a lot! This sucks!!! I have battled a comp with Regiice, Latias and Regirock! How can an ordinary trainer catch those? Eh, I beat him thank to my Shedinja anyway

There is a good way to use the Regi's
After you catch them, you can have the Move Tutor teach all three Explosion.
So when one is about to be KOed, use Explosion, and since each of them have Attack scores that are sky-high, it will take its opponent with him; unless it is a Ghost.

I put a lot of effort into those three (Heck that Sceptile has an Effort Ribbon) so I think I'll use them and just be careful. I'll probably start with Blaziken since it can handle Flyers much better than Sceptile. Then again, Swampert is pretty solid. Anyway just wish me luck.
