The rules of Fortunately, Unfortunately are pretty simple. Just continue the story with two statements. The first should start with "Unfortunately" and the second should start with "Fortunately". Here's an example of how it might work.


Unfortunately, everyone in the world became evil!

Fortunately, the evil people learned to live in peace.



Get the idea? Just continue the story, from post to post. It can go in wild and crazy directions, so be ready for some hilarity!

All other rules of PCG still apply, so be sure to read them.

Unfortunately, we still don't have very many participants in the TPM Fantasy Football League.

Fortunately, the draft doesn't start for over two weeks.

Unfortunately, not too many people on TPM pay attention to the NFL that much.

Unfortunately, he died right after because of another illness that was cursed on him just before he got better.

Fortunately, his best friend the necromancer was able to bring him back from the dead.

Unfortunately, the necromancer had recently lost his ability.

Fortunately, Cloud fom Final Fantasy VII was around and summoned Phoenix.

Unfortunately, the Phoenix wasn't feeling too well at the time being.

Fortunately, there's a lot of Phoenix Down available for the occasion.

Unfortunately, they all were taken by Yuffie.

Fortunately, Cloud had enough money to buy a Phoenix Down.

Unfortunately, he brought a fake

Fortunately, the shop owner gave him his money back

Unfortunately, the money was fake, too.

Fortunately, Cloud threw all the money away on Emerald Weapon by using 'coin' so that they wouldn't ruin the economics.

Unfortunately, the Emerald Weapon then attacked him.

Fortunately, his friends were there to back him up.

Unfortunately, his friends got attacked too.

Fortunately, Sephiroth destroyed Emerald Weapon.

Unfortunately, they didn't want Emerald Weapon to be destroyed

Fortunately, they were able to beat up Sephiroth for his mistake

Unfortunately, Sephiroth was uber strong.

Fortunately, gangbanging was a good thing to have.

Unfortunately, that didn't leave a scratch on him.

Fortunately, the other two Weapons decided to attack Sephiroth.

Fortunately, Sephiroth was too weak from the battle to defend himself from Cloud

Unfortunately, Cloud defected to Sephiroth's side

Fortunately, Tifa saved the day

Unfortunately, the day decided that it doesn't want to be saved by Tifa, so it send an asteroid straight towards her.

Fortunately, it was Cloud's turn to save the day - and he did it perfectly.

Unfortunately, part of the meteor that was destroyed by Cloud killed Aeris.

Fortunately, Aeris was supposed to die anyways.

Unfortunately, her death caused Barrat to become homocidal

Fortunately, the bullets turned out to be BB bullets.

Fortunately, he only hit the CaitSait's mechanical body.

Unfortunately, Shinra Soldiers destroyed Cid's closet.

Fortunately, with no CaitSait mechanical body around, Reeve could now come himself to help the party.

Unfortunately, no one knew who Reeve was and they didn't want him to help them.

Fortunately, he used a mind controll spell on all of them causing all of the team members to like him.

Unfortunately, the spell only lasted for 1 day

Fortunately, they all ended up really liking Reeves

Unfortunatly, a FF7 fanboy can and started talking nonstop

Fortunatly, we all changed topics, so he went away

Unfortunately, he never actually went away and he is still there waiting for someone to notice him again.

Fortunately, we were all too busy playing the demos for Super Mario Galaxy and Super Smash Brothers Brawl to notice him.

Unfortunately, he got annoyed that we were ignoring him so he broke all of our tv's

Fortunately, he agreed to pay for new ones
