Round One
Simplicity

Round One is a simple 1-1 battle against your opponent. The arena is a plain indigo stadium with very short, fine grass in an open stadium. There is a large pond in the middle-left of the arena for a variety of water Pokemon.

There is no time limit for this battle. The winner will go on to Round 2: The ref will recieve 2 points and the loser will be eliminated. There are no banned moves whatsoever.


Coin flip decides that Charles will send out first and Elec Man will attack first.

Alrighty then, I think I'll start off with my Male Lickitung. Ok Lickitung, I want you to start off with a Supersonic attack, while you run toward her and into melee range. Scramble that potent mind of hers. Then, lay into her with a Mega Punch. And follow that up by smashing her with an Iron Tail.

If she decides to try any attraction manuevers (Attract or Charm) then show you just how much you "love" her by giving her a nice wet Lick.

Welcome one and all to the first annual Random Tournament! This surprising change in normal battle is very unique, all battlers are using rental pokemon which they may or may not have owned a true test for any trainer! I myself am participating in this but that’s for later right now a very spunky Espeon and lumbering Lickitung stare each other down in preparation…

=)Battle(=
Right of the bat the tongue pokemon inhales deeply and spews from his mouth a high pitched squeals that pierces the Psychic foxes mind with dizzying effects. Espeon can barely manage a whimper as she is subdued by the sound technique.

Waving his tongue in the wind, the pink blob charges like a freight train at the wobbly Espeon. The psychic tries to focus on her thoughts as her head still ache from the sonic attack but she is walloped harshly by a glowing white fist, sending her reeling across the grass.

Filled with battle lust Lickitung energizes his tails with the Steel element, hardening it to smashing potential. Espeon rise up, shaking away her confused state thanks to the punch and watches her enemy closely. From deep in her gullet a frothy, viscous toxin rises and as Lickitung leaps to strike she spits at him with the speed of a Viper. The Toxic attack hits him dead on the face and his attack is cut short as he rolls and wails from the acidic burn of the technique….

Zelda start off this round with a Subatute next use a Swift, then end this round off with Psychic....

We're not going to have any of this annoying Toxic crap Lickitung. I hate it, and we'll not lose on account of it. So start off the round with Refresh to clear your body of the toxins before they can get too strong. Then summon up a Surf from the pool and bowl that substitute over. There's a chance that you'll hit the real one too, since even though you can't see her she's got to be around somewhere, maybe close by the doll. Then, if the sub is destroyed, launch a Shadow Ball, With any luck the ghost energy will mess up the Psychic attack, but even if it doesn't it'll still do heavy damage. If the sub is still active, use another wide-area attack in hopes that you hit the real one. Earthquake.

The long tongued pokemon doubles over as the venom in his body begins its attack on his nervous system. With this break in the action newly named Zelda ignites with golden energy! This force leaps from her body and lands directly in front of her, shaping into a doppelganger with its own life force. This beings only job is as a shield for its creator. Lickitung suddenly cries and strains his body as a liquid coating covers him and literally seeps the Toxic from his body. The barrier of energy turns sickingly black and washes off like water leaving him Refreshed.

The pool of water which sits off from the combatants sparks an idea in Licki’. He runs for the water and leaps to land upon it but in mid air he is struck by a volley of shrunken, causing hmi to smack the top of the water and sink a bit. Zelda sits comfortably as her clone swishes its tail in readiness and on cue the waters rise to an immense height, Licki’ riding them proudly. With a nod from the Psychic the Sub’ charges at the crashing wave of water and takes the full power, cracking itself.

Licki’ shake the excess water from his body and raspberries what he thinks is Zelda, but the copy just gets up and heaves a bit from its injuries. “Strong silent type eh?” thinks the pink pokemon and he answers her silence by leaping high to slam the earth. The true Zelda’s eyes immediately glow a pale blue which surround Licki and suspends him in mid air. Helpless he is slammed into the arena floor leaving a crater….

Bloody psychic....

Ok Lickitung. Why don't you Stomp that sub into the ground, that oughta destroy it. If the sub somehow miraculously manages to remain standing, then a Cut should finally get rid of it. Otherwise, launch a Shadow Ball at Espeon and see how she likes a wad of ghost energy. Finally, inflict a Toxic of your own. If she summons up clones, a Magnitude ought to wipe them out nicely.

The clone does its will and races at the pudgy pokemon and with a clear target Licki bounds into the sky and drops with a powerful Stomp, crushing the doll into fractured pink bits which fade away in golden light. Licki can hardly suspect that what he was fighting was nothing more than a copy. In any case Licki turns to Zelda…and face faults to the floor at the alluring creature that stands before him. Zelda sexily rubs her body against Licki, tickling his chin with her tail and sending quivers down his spine.

Love struck and beet red, Lickitung beams from ear to ear and salivates excessive which disgusts the psychic fox but she hold her demeanor for the sake of the battle. In a split-second another sub is up and ready just as Lick dives for it, splattering with sloppy smooches. (Close one!)

Her plan working better than she hoped, Zelda seizes Licki with force powers by his tongue and spins him around, tossing his across the field. He lands with a heavy thump and rising up he is still love struck but is starting to question “Did my dearly beloved just do that?”…

The attraction Licki feels for his beautiful fox can overcome any little spat they're having. He runs again at the Sub and falls to one knee protesting his love. The Sub silently cocks its head and looks back at its creator. Zelda rolls her eyes and erupts with blue luminance. The psychic grip wraps around Licki's tongue and he is mystically hoisted tongue first in the air, spun around, and thrown away from the copy of Espeon.

That broke the Camerupts back and with a screech of "IT OVER!" to his once love, Licki curls his tongue into a circle. In the center umbra energy forms and fills the space to create a Shadow Ball. He twirls and throws the attack but the Sub shield its master from the attack, taking great damage. Zelda smirks and force pushes the tongue pokemon across the ground and into the adjacent wall.

A mild headache throbs from the mental bashing Licki is taking but he fight on curling his tongue and slinging the ghost attack at Zelda. The Sub counter by taking the attack but it is too much for it. The copy explodes into golden shards and the Shadow Ball continues on to strike Zelda in the face. Taking damage finally in the battle, Zelda angrily attacks with Psychic again, this time using her powers to increase the gravity around Licki and slam him with crushing force…

Well that didn't work out all that well.

Ok Lickitung. That bothersome Psychic attack foils our attacks left and right, so lets get rid of it. Use Amnesia to make that thing forget Psychic. Then, Relax and regain some of your energy, and follow up by using Power Whip.

Relief comes to Licki as he is released from his gravity prison, suffering a throbbing headache. The wile psychic fox growls and quickly erects a protective dome that in impenetrable to all attack. Licki grumbles and decides to give Zelda some mental strain for a change. He tries to dive into her psyche and set up mental blocks against her favorite technique of the battle but the shield stops him at every turn. Soon he sighs heavily and gives up his attempt.

Foiled at every turn to put his enemy on the defense, Licki takes a breather and flops on his back to relax, watching the clouds go by…Wow look! That one looks like a Staryu! Totally lost in his vacation he is splashed in lethal poisons that burn his skin and make him ill.

Zelda in very pleased with her actions and prepares herself by glowing with psychic energy for the rebuttal to her Toxic attack. As planned the pudgy pink pokemon springs up and opts for a brand new attack. Extending his tongue to its full length, Lick spins and lashes it like a speeding whip to smash its target. On cue Zelda flings a psychic blast that freezes the tongue inches from her head and throws it back with the same momentum to smack Lick right between the eyes…ouch…

Things aren’t daisies for our friend Licki, but he and his trainer are NOT giving up! Zelda readies to put the Psychic smack down on the normal type but she stops to notices her opponent. For the entire match she has been cold and ruthless but she is suddenly…captivate by Licki. He flexes his pudgy muscles and performs amazing acts like balancing on his tongue. She tries to shake this feeling and uses Psychic but her mental strength has been cut in half, barely shoving Licki backwards.

This is the moment he’s been waiting for all battle. He charges another Shadow Ball in his tongue and slings it at the Espeon. Zelda in turn tries to fight the ball with a Psybeam but with her weakened Special Attack the beam is over powered. She is blown away by the ghost attack, much to Licki’s joy.

Licki “happy fun times” is suddenly halted by the gnawing poison in his system. He quickly ends this pain by refreshing the toxic from his pores again and smirks at Zelda. She again uses psychic in hopes to slam Licki but it only shoves him roughly, which he laughs at considering previous attacks…

[color=lightgrey]Licki feels very proud of his last actions and opts to take a breather to figure out a strategy. However the Psychic fox shimmers with mental calmness and boost her Special aAttack and Defense.

Elongating his tongue the pink pokemon spins in preparation to throw it at high speed. Zelda remains ever calm as he eyes glow a brilliant forest green. Suddenly the blades of grass around Licki grow and knot themselves, catching hit foot and tripping him. His attack flies without hitting a target.

Struggling with the hold that nature has on him, Licki never notices to giant orange ball of hyper conductive energy forming from Zelda’s jeweled for head. Espeon leaps up and release her pent up power in a monstrous beam thanks to her calm mind. It envelopes Licki and drives him like a hammer into the earth, leaving a large ring of burnt dirt around him but also leaves Zelda completely exhausted…
