Alright so I started sooner then I planned, I got the basics set-up and couldn't wait. The first storylines are made, just need to type the first stories out but that will depend on sign-ups so I declare them OPEN!

The Second Wave

In the universe, there are many different creatures. Some are gentle and live side by side in peace. Others are more blood lusting and have no difficulties to attack. Some are intelligent others are as advanced as cavemen. But one thing all of these creatures have in common is that they are in danger.

One race, known solely as Yeerks, have managed to acquire a powerful technology. The power to take over a body. Using this, they have slowly taken over their home world and advanced at an amazing rate. With the capability to travel to newer worlds, their reach has grown steadily and so has their power. With every new world conquered, the Yeerks have enslaved more and more species.

Only one race has opposed the Yeerk invasion, the Andelites. The technology developed by these highly intelligent creatures surpass that of humans wildest dreams. With great battle ships fighting in the emptiness of space, the Andelites strike back with a power weapon on the surface of planets. Their morphing powers seem to hold great power and the war has been going on for ages and change locations frequently.

The next war zone is Earth. The Yeerks have set eyes on infesting this world and where ever the Andelites can fight back, they will. As the war wreaks havoc in space, the troubles are coming closer and closer to the blue planet. But in this struggle, the Yeerks prove to be superior and manage to knock back the Andelite assault. All that is stopping the Yeerks from taking over the Earth, are teenagers given the ability to morph by an Andelite survivor.

You live in the peaceful suburbs of a rising tourist area called Verano. During the past 20 years hotels and other tourist attractions have popped up. Close to the sea are hotels, bars and restaurants as well as entertainment like movie theatres and shopping centers. Amusements parks are currently in the making. The suburbs are behind all this glamour displayed to the tourists. The quiet areas house several families and have normal facilities as super markets, schools and playgrounds.

Even further land inwards is a mountain region. As a protected area called Green Acres, wildlife is abundant and spread out. With government support, the park rangers even managed to build a small zoo, hoping to support more exotic animals and help in raising endangered species.

Your school is having a field trip to Green Acres. You meet up with some of your friends and decide to be a little rebellious. Hosting your own hike, you sneak off and investigate the area yourself. Amazed at the forest you are in, you get distracted by a light that is rapidly speeding towards your area. Not to far off, the light seems to hit the ground. A small thud and a dust cloud reveal the location. You decide to investigate and make a startling discovery

Name: Drake Hayes
Gender: Male
Age: 14
Appearance: Just your average kid. Standing at around 5 feet he isn't really short, but not big either. With his lightbrown(edging red-head), messy hair and blue eyes, he can be considered to have a cute face. Drake doesn't have a very muscular buid, he is kind of skinny. Mostly wears a jeans with a lose shirt over it. Is mostly seen wearing his mp3-cord under his shirt and with the headphones around his neck.
Personality: A very relaxed guy, carefree mind and doesn't have much to worry over anyway. In discussions Drake can get headstrong and stand his ground, even though he sometimes knows he's wrong. Can be considered competitive, but not according to himself. He just has a health obsession to win...
History: Drake had a regular time growing up. His 3 year older sister is attending the same school as him and his parents are still togheter. He participated in several sports such as basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball,... but never excelled in any of them, always being decent to good. At school he isn't the most popular guy, but he gets around not being bullied.
Interests: Likes to listen to music, mostly alternative, rock and punk. Is begging for a guitar of his own, but so far hasn't succeeded to persuade his parents. Also some minor interest in sports
Relations: Close friend with John, he lives in close-by. Also knows Gavin from the football team
Other: Has his room covered in posters from bands o.O

Alright so bring em up, I'm going to have limited entry in this. LSU's are highly unlikely(but if you REALLY want to have part in this, I guess I can't figure something out :s) so reserve a spot if you really want to participate.

[Ultimate Charizard]

Name: Gavin Wynder
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance: Short Brown hair, blue eyes. Stands just sort of 6ft and has an athletic though not muscular build. Wears blue jeans and white trainers. Is never seen without a Sports shirt from his favourite team and due to them being dubbed 'Tigers' its usuall a mix of Orange/Black and White. He has different jerseys from multiple seasons though so not always the same shirt.
Personality: Cheery kind of guy. Likes a joke though sometimes gets paranoid that he takes things too far. Is the loyal type and a regular 'good triumphs over evil' kinda guy. (He even struggles to like heels on wrestling lol)
History: Is English and staying over here in an Exchange program living with a local family. Was never too popular back home and tried to use this as an excuse to start with a fresh slate.
Interests: Played Rugby at school and though hates the lack of interest in the sport in the US has taken to football instead and plays a little Soccer too.
Relations: None as yet. Knows people but isnt that friendly with anyone outside the Sports circle (hes not some elitist jock though. And i am willing to change this if anyone has a better idea)

Name: Natalie Hall
Gender: Clear? No no no... Female!
Age: 15
Appearance: Not quite done growing, she's all ready taller than most people her age at 5'7. Her hair is a dark auburn red, which sets off her fair skin and clear blue eyes. Her body is more mature than most girls her age, and the attention that it gains her is almost always unwanted. Her clothing is laid back; band t-shirts, jeans, and black boots are her usual attire.
Personality: She can be slightly eccentric at times, but all around she's pretty friendly and easy to get along with. Any mention of her split family does bring a slight pain to her features, but on anything else she's open and agreeable. The kind of girl that most feel comfortable coming to with problems, she loves to help others and a secret is a secret with her. Anything that she is either asked to not talk about, or just feels that she shouldn't, is safe.
History: Her parents are divorced, which has always been a source of pain for her, especially since her mother lives on the other side of the country with her younger brother. She lives with her dad, a microbiologist, and her two cats. In school, she's always been a bit of a wild child; while she can be caring, intelligent, and very insightful, the constant thorn in her teacher's side is the fact that she never pays much attention in class, nor does her homework very often.
Interests: Though you wouldn't think by looking at her, she's a computer addict. She spends much of her time online, finding new music, which is her other chief passion.
Relations: Just about everyone knows her, though some closer than others. She doesn't really fit into any stereotypical clique, and as such tends to hang out with just about everyone that doesn't annoy the hell out of her. She's especially close friends with Izumi Shibuto.
Other: Uhm... Potato.

Also, just because I put 5 slots, I'm not intending to limit it to that. It's somewhat of a wanted minimum.

Edit again: UC would you be interested in knowing Drake from the short period he spent at the football team? Maybe having them hang out after that time?

Name: Izumi Shibuto
Gender: Female
Age: 14
Appearance: She stands at exactly 4’9’’. Though her height bothers her a bit, she’s not ashamed of being shorter then most. Her hair is about shoulder length and dyed a golden blond with several tones of highlights and lowlights. Her eyes are a deep shade of brown that can appear slightly green when she’s upset. She’s got a small, naturally slim frame and build, something she’s extremely happy with. She’s naturally cute and rather pretty, another thing that has shot her from average student to popular girl. She’s usually wearing a fancy, ‘in’ top to go with her deep blue denim jeans. On a side note, she loves shiny things, so she’s usually wearing a number of bracelets and occasionally a necklace that look expensive.
Personality: Izumi’s… Not exactly the most friendly of people. She’s rather stubborn and selfish. With her it’s always she wins and you lose. However, she cares about a few people, but being popular, not many are exactly worthy of trust or anything more then a ‘are you okay?’. Behind her rather unpleasant cover is a nice girl, alas, she never shows it much. She also usually gets her way and if she doesn’t, she sets about getting it without thinking of who she’s hurting in the process.
History: Rather pleasant, Izumi was born into a family that is extremely rich, though the means has never been disclosed to her. Ever since she was born, she has received anything and everything she ever wanted. Her family originates from Japan, though it has been several generations and the language was not passed on, sadly.
Interests: Dance (she LOVES to dance), Music (she’s not really picky of what she’s listening to, though she prefers J-Pop), and Video Games. She’s not a ‘hardcore’ gamer, but is still pretty good.
Relations: She recognizes most people, but is close friends with Natalie Hall. (Still open)
Other: Izumi always has at least one earphone in her ear playing a song.

Name: John Bannister
Gender: Male
Age: 15
Appearance: John is around 6'2", and has a slim, somewhat muscular build with a pale complexion. He has dirty brown hair, which he keeps moderately short, and blue eyes like his dad. John is not a bad looking young man, however, his personality of being nervous keeps him from branching out and talking to a ton of other people. Most of the time John wears a pair of dark blue jeans and a t-shirt (generally green, his favorite color), however, he also sometimes wears a black jacket over his shirt when he feels like it. John takes pride in his Rolex, which he was given by his uncle.
Personality: A somewhat laid-back and shy person, John doesn't care to talk to people that he doesn't know. It's not that he doesn't like meeting new people, it's just that he is too afraid that people will judge him too quickly. John takes pride in what he does, especially the fact that he passed his first year with flying colors. However, he does not gloat openly about his achievements.
History: John grew up like a normal teenager, with his dad being a lawyer and his mom a nurse at a nearby hospital. His family was always upper-middle class, however, almost all of the stuff that John got himself was with his own money. John used to be touted as a great baseball and football star, however, his dedication to his job, family, and other things caused him to give up both. John gained a passion for reading, writing, and debating from his father, a very good defense attorney. His mother is somewhat distant from him, which still puzzles John to this day.
Interests: He enjoys watching sporting events (baseball and football) and is a great video game player, but he mostly enjoys reading and writing.
Relations: Relations are pending, I've asked silencer, and if anyone else wants to have some relations to him, AIM is attackofapenguin.

I didn't read the whole series... I read through most of it, though, but it was so long ago... I started reading them not long after they first came out, back when there were less than ten of them. I was in second grade... ah, the good ol' days...

Name: Grace Yenya
Gender: Female
Age: 15 (her 16th birthday is the next day if thats ok)
Appearance: Short for her age (only about 4'5), looks more like a 13 year old than someone about to be 16. Shortish straight black hair in a cute cut emphases her young appearance. A face that remind you of a fox, she has tilted green eyes and smooth pale skin. Likes to wear earthy colors and flowing clothes, not a lot of tight things.
Personality: If you had to describe her in one word it would be "watching". At times it seems she can see everything at once, and rarely does she miss a flicker of expression or movement in the grass. With reflexes to match, its no surprise that growing up she was very good at any kind of video games. Despite this she rarely spends any time inside, perferring to spend it outside fishing or hunting with her dad. She loves animals-dead or alive; she believes that killing the animals if she will eat them isnt doing them an injustice- and takes life and death as two sides of the same coin. Shes the type that says shit happens and its best to deal with it rather than whine about it. Life is hard but is all the sweeter for living. If shes your friend you found one for life and youd have to screw up with her very badly to make her change her mind. All in all despite her physical size she is a mountain inside.
History: When she was born she and her parents lived in a small farm on the outskirts of a deep woods (bordering but not inside the green acres, about 5 miles away) They had a small garden, some chickens and a few sheep. But when she was about 4 years old her mother was killed by a mountain lion that came seeing an easy prey in the sheep they had, her father shot at the lion but it managed to get away, dragging one of the sheep with it. In a whirlwind of panic and grief, her dad and her 4 year old self rushed her mother to the hospital, where she died 2 days later. It was a hard lesson for her to learn so young, but her father helped her, teaching her that death was a part of life, and not to fear it lest she forget how to live. He taught her the ways of nature, and that to live means to kill, and to let live, he taught her to kill only for food or in self defense, never for revenge. This was as much for truth as it was to keep her from going after the lion at her young age. As she grew she learned to be tough but not hard, determined but not cold, and a couple years later when she went to school for the first time she was friendly and eager as any child. Due to the fact she lived a bit aways from the city life she was one of the first of the group to get her learners permit, but most of the time only drives to the nearest bus stop and takes the bus into the city. She enjoys hanging out with her friends but doesnt like them to come over her house much (if asked she wont say why, just changes the subject if she can).
Interests: Loves anything to do with being outside, swimming, fishing and hunting are amoung her faves. Loves animals whether its eating them or caring for them, and she has a pet boa-the perfect pet that emphasizes the circle of life and death. She used to be into playing video games in the arcade but recently grew bored of it. Makes crafts like dreamcatchers and necklaces from various things found in nature to calm herself whenever shes had a bad day. If it werent for the hunting you might almost call her a hippie lol But dont, seriously. lol
