    Okay, Lily. Use your first move to get back to solid ground. No fancy moves - just leap or whatever you need to do to get back on terra firma.

    Next, use Rain Dance to even the field.

    Then, by all means, do NOT get near Grodus. Instead, hit him long-distance with Water Pulse again.

    New Battle!

    ===Rules===

    1. Banned moves: Rest, Substitute, Mimic, any pure status inflictors, and any pure healers.

    2. So there is no intentional type-trumping, we PM our first pokemon to the ref.

    3. This'll be a 4-on-4 battle, 1 Pokemon at a time.

    4. DQ: 1 week

    Arena:
    Kilauea, Hawaii

    The battle will take place in a massive stone crater that is relatively shallow, but with a narrow stream carved into one end. At the center of the crater is a pool of lava at least 50 feet wide; it empties into the stream, which is only about 10 feet wide at its widest. The lava flows down the stream, out of the crater and in between the rocks on the Hawaiian shoreline until it hits the ocean. One ether side of the rocks is sand, with some tropical plants a bit further down the beach, away from the insufferable heat of the volcano.

    Despite the heat of the lava, Ice and Water attacks aren't weakened, nor are Fire attacks strengthened. Any Fire Pokemon that falls in the lava will not be burnt to death, by Heatran's mercy, but they will suffer anywhere between 1HP and 10HP of damage for each action they spend in the lava (For example, a Charizard or a Magmortar may take 1HP, whereas a Snover or a Paras would take 10HP, etc..). It takes one action to get out of the lava.

    Where the lava and the ocean meet, scalding steam constantly erupts; contact with it may induce a Burn.

    Both battlers begin inside the crater, beside the lava lake, on opposite sides of the 'stream.' Like a stream of water, a few rocks poke up from the lava. They can be used to cross the stream.

    ===Round 9===

    Noting Lily's trapped status, Grodus hovers up over the part where the stream bypasses the volcanic pit, and makes a landing on the left bank. Settling his body down, the arms retain their upright and locked positions atop his head.

    Lily however, dosen't die so easily. She starts to crawl, despite the pain on her back. Slowly, but arduously, she digs herself free and lunges off the rocks that once entombed her, landing a good distance away on the right side of the bank. She falls to her knees, but she's ready-willing and able.

    [L: -3E (to get out all that crap) SG: +6E ]

    Seeing Lily free was no big surprise, she was pretty strong. A wave of energy raced across the field though, striking Lily on her back for a few moments. Grodus didn't feel like moving at all, and that Confusion attack showed it. Lily though, seemed to be crying. Her tears though, were beckoning the onset of a storm, a storm that began to blow in over this island. Grodus turned to look at the sky...and didn't care. It was just water...

    [L: -4E/-7H SG: -6E]
    *Rain Dance lasts for 5 actions*

    As the raindrops began to pour down upon them both, Grodus stood up. Lily was far away, so he was not instructed to attack, but Lily was Dangerous when water fell! He once again was reminded of that pain when a hefty blast of water shot across the lava stream, hitting Grodus right in the face bumper.

    Grodus flew back, noting his face felt...dented? No frickin' way!

    Lily closed her mouth as the blast was ejected. She wasn't playing anymore now, that sucker was gonna get it bad. Her burn sizzled under the rain, and it thankfully stopped hurting as much.

    Okay, Lily, playtime's over.

    First, run up and use Astonish.

    Then, while he's recovering, use Swords Dance.

    Then, get up in his face and use Focus Punch.

    If he tries to shove you into the lava again, change your move to Protect.

    Sir Grodus, this would be the perfect opportunity to use the old x3-forced Protect combination...

    "Meta gross grometa metagross."

    Awwww... x2-forced Protect combination then?

    "Meta! Gross gross metagross!"

    Aw, come ON! They dented your face, Grodus!

    "GROSS......!"

    Oh, alright, fine. We'll use the less cheap strategy, and match them blow for blow...

    When Lily speeds at you to Astonish you, zoom right back at her with Aerial Ace. Then, Mimic her Swords Dance, or use Psych Up if Mimic takes two turns. Finally, sock it to her with your own in-your-face attack... UNLEASH GIGA IMPACT!!!

    ===Round 10===

    Whew. It's still hot over here on Kilauea, Hawaii. I'm DL, bringing you a reffing live from this beauteous isle-where we have a majestic view of the volcano directly behind us. We've managed to migrate out of the main center of the volcano-and are now fighting down the side of the volcano, the lava stream being used as a dunking device. It's currently raining, leaving a bunch of ground to crack and steam, so even the terrain is treacherous.

    But do Grodus and Lily care? Hellz no! They're fearless in the face of ever impending doom. Lily dashes forward, using the previously entombing Rock Tomb used to trap her before to dash across the lava stream.l The rocks shake under her weight, making for a small realization-that bridge can only be used maybe 1 or two more times before the lava consumes it. Lily isn't worried about the at though, her hands geared for impact. Meta-being the fast metalmon it is, shoots forward, fists glowing with sky-bluish energy. As Grodus tilts in flight to ram Lily head on, Lily stops and rolls out of the way!!! Grodus shoots by, and manages to break, only to be hit from behind by Lily!

    Astonishing!

    [L: -3E SG: -5E/-2H]

    The rain began to slow its descent, and even with the tropical weather starting to cause some rocks to slide around, Lily found a foothold.Her body began to get larger, as she danced the rain dance of power. Meta, intrigued by this dance, followed suit, trying to link with her mind in order to receive the same setup. It was a success, and Grodus felt the metal around his body as well.

    [L: -4E Atk x 2 SG: -3E Atk x2]

    As the raindrops continued, Grodus found no more need to hover. Feet clamped on the ground, and began to dig in, as the body of the Metagross began to flash through the ultraviolet spectrum. Lily tilted her sombrero down, and closed her eyes, sensing everything around her as her energy swelled to her fist.

    All fell silent on the Island, as the rain provided a tapering ambience that faded with each passing second.

    Maybe it was the falling of the last raindrop, or the cracking sound of the last steam vent from the rain. Maybe they both had a connection that they agreed upon psychically. I don't think we'll ever known, but Grodus and Lily both took off after each other, leaving nothing to chance or circumstance.

    I couldn't even look at the collision-not without my Blublockers. The explosion of light that swept this portion of Kilauea was fierce, people might think the volcano was gearing to erupt. As the light dimmed, I walked over to the place where they both collided, only to see even more scorched earth.

    Looking left, about 5 meters, lied Lily. She looked worse for wear, but her toes were still moving to an internal beat. Turning 180 degrees from Lily, I spied the blue lumps that made up Grodus's exoskeleton. Even with his superior exterior, he was feeling the wear and tear of this battle upon him. He also happened to be lying near the Rock Tomb bridge..which was greatly shaking and crumbling. Guess that attack took a toll on the bridge as well.

    [L: -13E/-23H SG: -13E/-20H]

    What a magnificent display of ..Ulp. Lily just rolled over. I guess the burn is still hindering her. But Grodus..looks down for a while. Maybe that attack burned him out for a bit?

    That's exactly what I meant, Darkly. No worries.

    o.O Crap, I'm sorry Sage. Let me state this now-and see if it influences your decision.

    I usually ref when a Pokemon gets down to 0-they're forced to relax two actions, which then after those actions, they'll have 20% energy. Do you want to continue like that, or do you with to remove Lily when her Energy = 0?

    I'll allow changing of actions on both your parts if that changes things. :O. If it dosen't its no problem either, I just saw that you both may not have known/remembered I do that.

    Even with their bodies battered and bruised, these two combatants show no mercy. It takes all she has to stand up, but Lily begins to dig deep. She had next to nothing left but what she does have left gets charged up as best she can.

    Grodus lies there, beginning to move his joints. They hurt so bad from over-extending his body. Try as he might, he did not have the energy nor the ability to stand currently. So, when he saw Lily approaching-with a sadistic smile on her face, a bop in her step, and her hands rolling around each other again, he closed his eyes, fearing the end had come.

    "OLE!"

    Grodus body went tumbling backwards-how could she still have so much power! But it turned out she didn't! The blast didn't hurt nearly as much as it could have.

    [L: -3E SG: -6H]

    Lily fell back, utterly exhausted. She direly needed to relax. Sitting cross-legged, she made an easy target for Grodus, whom barely scuttled over to her, ramming her with his left forearm. The power behind the fist was jarring, and Lily rolled over to her side in pain.

    [L: -10H SG: -6E]

    After that exchange of blows, Both Pokemon fell backwards, relaxing as best they could.

    Spinning counter clockwise, a mixture of blue and yellow energy erupted from Grodus's displaced arms,before he spun lengthwise to the concerto of Ludicolo's. This way, he was able to strike the real one by spinning through the whole pack. Lily flew back from the strike of electricity and air, lying amongst her withered clones..

    Use Karate Chop.

    If that doesn't do the trick, use Brick Break.

    If THAT doesn't do the trick, use Vital Throw to toss him outta there.

    I'm gonna hurt this MB up if they don't stop hiding new posts -.-... Almost missed this battle. Wayy too anxious to ref I think x_x;;

    New Battle!

    ===Rules===

    ===Round 13===

    Grodus huffed. As Sage launched his third Pokemon from his perch on the edge of the volcano still, Grodus felt as if he wasn't worried. As the Pokeball opened, and released the next competitor, Grodus quietly rotated his body to catch a glimpse of whom he might have the pleasure of being smashed into ribbons by.

    The Pokemon didn't show. Instead, a shadow began to grow from atop Grodus. Rotating so his vision was unobscured by his own disc-form, a hand came down right on the X. Grodus felt the metal bend inward,and he roared in anguish-that was fricking SORE ALREADY!

    Atlas jumped back from his spectacular entrance, and flexed. If there were some hot chick Pokemon around, they would have fallen over in lustful feelings form watching a muscular Machoke on a tropical island flexing his muscles...

    [A: -5E SG: -7H]

    Grodus decided that maybe it was time to scuttle backwards, But Atlas would have none of it. Picking Grodus up with one hand, ee rammed his freely powered up fist into Grodus's underside over and over, trying to Break the exterior as well as the steely will of his weakened opponent. After the attack was over, he threw Grodus down like a broken sack of Bricks.

    Grodus was done..Wow, he got biz-nitched.

    Fighter against Fighter? Why not?

    Atlas, get up close and grapple with Rawk. First, use your left with a Bullet Punch.

    Then, follow a right with Thunder Punch.

    Then, jab to the chest with Poison Jab.

    OK, Rawk, let's defend your champion title. Match him blow for blow!

    Sock him in the face with a Dynamicpunch, and then follow up with a Fire Punch, old 1-2 style! Finally, shatter those rock-hard abs of his with Brick Break.

    If Poison Jab poisons you, switch the last action to Mirror Move and dish the Poison right back with an identical strike.

    ===Round 14===

    Atlas shrugged as Grodus was yoinked away. Feeling mighty proud, he strutted over to a small clearing, and began stretching. May have been a good thing too, because the screech of the new challenger blazing down the sands to "greet" was no other than RAWK HAWK!

    Folks, this just turned into Rumble in the Jungle! Only..on Hawaii.

    Not at all deterred by the absurd named Blaziken, Machoke geared into a boxing stance, and began to shift left and right, just as Blaziken halted his dash. Spying that this match turned into a trained fighters duel with possibly many styles to be added to the fray, he too began to shuffle his feet.

    Let's get ready to
    RUUMMMMBBLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL LLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLEE...

    *DING*

    Atlas shoots in fast, dipping left and right as Rawk backs away, hoping to evade the first attack. Prancing around each other momentarily, Atlas fakes Rawk, and nails him with a swift Bullet Punch to the jaw. Rawk wasn't guarding well enough! Rawk dosen't back away this time though. He shoots forward as well, with a haymaker of a fist that Atlas sidesteps! Rawk tumbles over his own momentum, but catches himself. Damn, he'd hope that Dynamic punch would have worked.

    [A: -5E RH: -6E/-3H]

    The small tag to Rawk's chin was shrugged off, and Rawk got back into the match. Fists glowing and showering over with sparks, he used his speed and longer reach to get his fists flying at Atlas, causing the muscular boxer to back away a bit. Pulling back slowly after that lightning barrage, Atlas quickly went in for his own special punch, a lightning embued fist at the ready. Rawk however, was fooling and quickly swung his right-nailing Atlas in the face. The hit was not enough to deter Atlas' own punch, which tagged Rawk in the xyphoid. Rawk stepped back from that blow, that Machoke was kinda strong.

    Tagged in the face, Atlas grunted, Sure, there was a lil scorch mark, but nothing to worry about.

    [A: -5E/-7H RH: -5E/-6H]

    The first round is about to end, with only 17 seconds on the clock! Atlas jukes left and right, before spinning on his right foot. Atlas observes the fake, and cleverly shoot out a swift jab to force Atlas to step back. Back Atlas does, but it's only as lean as he ducks low and swings twice, trying to coax Rawk into letting his guard down. Rawk isin't having it though, and dares the Machoke, by throwing a few sets of flurries past his face. Atlas shoots a left out, but follows it up with a repeated jab-catching the juking Rawk off guard, as he's tagged in the shoulder with a Poison Jab. Rawk though, dosen't stop moving,now that Atlas's left side is exposed. Glowing yellow fist came up from under, striking Atlas directly in the stomach. Atlas backed away, as the bell rung, his abs kinda puffy from the well-aimed brick Break.

    Rawk sighed, glad that the poison didn't get to him.

    OK, let's escalate this battle from a boxing match to a KICKboxing match.

    Use Double Kick to knock him back, and then use Blaze Kick to knock him down. Then, leap into the air and come down hard on him with a Flare Blitz, Shang Tsung Armageddon-style!

    If he tries to Protect or otherwise block the Blitz, then don't waste your energy; use a mid-air Swords Dance instead. For later.

    Okay Atlas, time to use some strategy. I believe those courses you took in Jujitsu will pay off in this case.

    First, wait for him to hit you with the Double Kick, then use Payback.

    Then, wait for the Blaze Kick, then use Revenge.

    Finally, don't try to block the Flare Blitz at all. Instead, use Counter when he hits you with it it.

    ===Round 15===

    The bell rung again, and Rawk Hawk flipped out of his corners, kicking his left leg repeatedly in a circle until the flames at his ankles were reaching his finger tips. Atlas slowly stood up, flexing once more. He was a bit stout, so I didn't know how well Atlas would fare this round..

    The new parameters yielded Kickboxing, and Rawk Hawk seemed ready to dish out the pain. Atlas sidestepped the handspringing Rawk, but was caught off guard when Rawk stopped on one hand and propelled himself in the other direction. One foot hit Atlas in the head, causing him to spin. The other would then drill into Atlas' chest-as Hawk himself fell to the ground. Atlas somersaulted to the earth, jarred from that expertly executed Double Kick.

    Digging into the granules of sand on this area, Atlas forced his body up. That set of kicks made his face and chest hurt, and well, he wasn't having it. As Rawk kipped back up, his feet landed directly in Atlas's palms. Atlas preformed a backbend, slamming Rawk head first into the rocky ground near the lava stream.

    Payback's a ...well you know n_n

    [A: -6E/-7H RH: -5E/-10H] (3 from slamming into rocks head first..)

    Releasing Rawk, Atlas backed up. He knew that he couldn't compete with a kickboxer blow for blow, so he stood with arms to the ready. Rawk though, cared not for the pose Atlas was pulling off. Feet flared up, and Rawk took three large steps. Upon his third step Rawk jumped, flipping in his flight, and performed a Blazing Axe Kick on Atlas's skull. Atlas tried to block, but the flames singed his fingertips and he snapped backwards from the jarring blow, actually falling again.

    Fighting to keep his head from groggy blindness, Atlas scraped himself up, and lunged for Rawk Hawk. The fighter backed away, exactly what Atlas wanted. A quick burst of speed took Rawk by surprise, almost as much as the Revenge kick to Hawk's sternum! A slight cracking sound was heard, and Rawk fell tot eh ground, clutching his chest.

    [A: -6E/-10H RH: -7E/-11H]

    Rawk looks like he's in pain, and Atlas ..hides his so well. But Atlas is holding his head, you can see the pain where that Blaze kick connected. Rawk though, is standing back up, and pumping his body up. Atlas has one hand out, it seems that he's a feeling a bit groggy!

    In a majestic display that's reminiscent of the Yoroi no Rekka being born from the volcano, Blaziken erupts into flames, and lunges skyward. The flaming fighter dives back down onto Atlas, who really dosen't know what the heck to expect...and executes a very difficult Muay Thai move. Knees bent, but together, he held his ankles to his back, as he Blitzed downward, the momentum causing Atlas to fall under the heat and pressure....

    ...until Rawk saw he was moving upward. Looking down, Atlas had grabbed both his knees, and was squeezing on them with all his might. Rawk cried out in pain, before everything went upside down, and Atlas threw him down into the ground, ending the Counter with a powerful knee to the middle of Rawk's back.

    Atlas stood up, panting and shaking his hands. They were burnt pretty bad, and he knew he couldn't make tight enough fists with them. Damn.

    With your knees and body that banged up, we better not risk attacking with them - let's use your hands and head instead.

    Use Fire Blast to torch him when he comes in for his first Facade, then use Focus Blast to blast him into the ocean when he comes in for his second one. Finally, if he gets back to shore and attacks, use Overheat to make him regret it. If he's out in the water, just Relax.

Rawk, meanwhile struggled to stand, his knees feeling as if they were fractured from that devastating counter. Engulfing his energy within, he stayed put, watching at Atlas strode over toward him with a quickening pace. Once close enough Atlas displayed another surprise showing of speed, but this time,was engulfed in a deeply Fiery Blast that was unleashed from Rawk's mouth.

    [A: -7E/-11H RH: -10E]

    Unable to get his move of, Atlas rolled back from the fire, flapping on the sands like some kind of suffocating Wishcash. Rawk laughed, and relaxed, sitting up as he did so. His body was forcing energy to build in his hands, and that energy began to pile up. However, Atlas rose back to his feet, and instead of letting Rawk get the drop on a full frontal assault, Atlas threw a bunch of sand in Rawk's face. Unnerved, Rawk, spat to remove the sand that flew from his mouth, only to feel an uppercut snap his jaws shut, and send him flying. That beefy Facade worked, in Atlas favor.

    Until of course the pure ball of energy smalled into Atlas, knocking him back onto the ground again. He felt sand skid against his skin, and when the momentum ended, his feet were in water. Rolling out in pain....his toesies were burnt now! Are you serious!

    [A: -7E/-12H RH: -12E/-15H ]

    Both Pokemon look to be on their last legs. Rawk though, is'nt having it, and manages to get one leg up. Atlas does him one better, standing free of any sort of help. With Rawk heavily tired, Atlas keeps his hand open to not excite the burn, and focuses his energy into delivering a Cross Chop Bish-Slap across the neck, chest and face of Rawk Hawk. He wheezed, as his chest was a critical spot to hit.

    Backing away from the overly red Hawk, Atlas noticed a tinge of burning in the air. The smell of fire made him back up, but it was still far to close to be standing next to Rawk, as his body literally exploded free of ALL fire energy he had built up inside. The Overheating was immense, and Atlas fell down, unable to cope with the fire. While the ocean was a safe bet, the steam wasn't, he wasn't willing to get burned more than he was already now.

    Feeling his prowess weaken significantly, Rawk fell on his back, breathing hard.

    Rawk, hang on... We can still beat that steroid-abusing monstrosity.

    Use Aerial Ace's homing power combined with Dynamicpunch's raw strength to land the final blow.

    If Atlas tries to block the combo, switch Dynamicpunch to Feint, and then use Quick Attack to get in a quick hit.

    Move: Homing Punch (Aerial Ace + Dynamicpunch), Relax
    Sub: Shield Crush (Aerial Ace + Feint), Quick Attack

    Atlas, when he comes at you, use Focus Blast.

    If that doesn't do it, hit him with a Low Kick.

    New Battle!

    ===Rules===

    ===Round 17===

    What an intense match. On the sands of Hawaii, next to a majestic volcano, we have Atlas and Rawk Hawk duking it out till their last breath. It seems neither is willing to fall to the other, ahh, the code of fighters.

    Rawk, hearing his trainers orders, wants to obey, but hell, when yer winded like this, its hard to find the strength. Digging deep, the bird kips up again,twinging as his knees pop. Jumping backwards, he spies Atlas, whom seems to think that he's Goku now, with a huge Focused Genki Dama overhead!

    Knowing that attack would take a while to charge, Rawk dashed at Atlas- combining his Haymaker special with a speedy Aerial Ace-slamming directly into Atlas sore gut. Atlas though, flung his arms down, dropping the blast on Rawk just then.

    Atlas fell to his knees as Rawk cawed and screamed in pain of the attack, but in the end, it would be the both of them to fall to the lullaby of defeat.

    ...I think they're both out...o.O! Hoooooolly crap!

    Either we can have a PM the ref our last choice type thing, or we can keep it going naturally and it'll be Sage's turn to release, then Blade, then Sage attacks and Blade attacks.

    With both competitors down to their last Pokemon, it seems as if the battle has taken a turn for the better. Each Trainer carefully selects their last team-member, and releases them simultaneously.

    Sage has released a female Gible by the name of Tiamat, while Blade releases Armored Ant, his Male Armaldo! Let the match continue!

    Tiamat, start out with a loud Roar to unnerve it.

    Then use Dragon Rush.

    Then, while you're up there, use Dragon Claw.

    A loud Roar... Big deal. It's still coming from what looks like a shark sock puppet.

    Double-A, show her true fear by drowning out her Roar with a million year-old Screech. Then squirt that squirt with Water Pulse. Finally, match her claws with your own: X-Scissor attack!

    BTW, I'm SO glad there's finally an attack that starts with the letter X. Seriously, that's so awesome.

    ===Round 18===

    This battle has now reached its final stage! Tiamat the Gible bares her fangs...while Armored Ant stretches his rocky carapace. In the midst of a sandy bar -with the rocky outcropping of the lava stream about 10 meters away, the strong smell of both lava and seawater invade their senses. The steamy veil enveloping the ocean though, was still a deadly danger to them both. Never forget that Nature is the true winner >>

    The Ant starts. Blades up, he leans on them to release a very disruptive Screech that echoes alongside the island. However, his Screech is met with what was supposed to be a miniscule Roar-but actually turned out to be kinda loud! The buffering sounds seemed to wage their own mid-air battle, but in truth, the Roar won out!

    Though, it's effect was nothing like Tiamat would have appreciated. Armaldo just decided to take the pint-sized monster more seriously.

    [AA: -6E T: -5E]

    After stretching their vocal cords, both competitors dashed for each other. It was awkward to run on sand, but Tiamat seemed to have a much easier time than Armor. She kept her lead low, as she neared her opponent, that way, she could suddenly rocket forward and clip his legs with a surefire Dragon Rush. Unamused that this thing could fight, Armor rolled on his back and shot a Pulse of seawater at Tiamat, knocking that thing out of the air.

    Tiamat spiraled down and hit the sands headfirst.

    [AA: -5E/-11H T: -6E/-6H]

    A lil wet, Tiamat shook her head free of excess water. Seeing her flight knocked off by water, she ran back at Armor, waving her widdle stubby arms wildly. Armor snickered, allowing her to get close. She reared up some more mystic energy in order to strike, but found herself flung skyward! Armor stuck his pincers in the ground, and whence Tiamat came near, he merely raised his arms in a X-formation, scissor chopping her vertically!

    Standing up as he completed his attack, Armor looked up...to see Tiamat flying right down at his head, glowing claws aimed to rake across his skull, which they did. He backed off, that was a bit crazy!

    Tiamat landed, and waved her arms in glee.

    Okay, Tiamat, time to show this shrimp what a "shark sock puppet" is capable of...

    When he's wasting time conjuring the rain, go for broke...

    Use Draco Meteor!

    While he's shaking that off - if he can - use Dig to burrow undert the ground.

    Use the second round of Dig to get under him and attack from below.
