    New Battle!

    ===Rules===

    1. Banned moves: Rest, Substitute, Mimic, any pure status inflictors, and any pure healers.

    2. So there is no intentional type-trumping, we PM our first pokemon to the ref.

    3. This'll be a 4-on-4 battle, 1 Pokemon at a time.

    4. DQ: 1 week

    Arena:
    Kilauea, Hawaii

    The battle will take place in a massive stone crater that is relatively shallow, but with a narrow stream carved into one end. At the center of the crater is a pool of lava at least 50 feet wide; it empties into the stream, which is only about 10 feet wide at its widest. The lava flows down the stream, out of the crater and in between the rocks on the Hawaiian shoreline until it hits the ocean. One ether side of the rocks is sand, with some tropical plants a bit further down the beach, away from the insufferable heat of the volcano.

    Despite the heat of the lava, Ice and Water attacks aren't weakened, nor are Fire attacks strengthened. Any Fire Pokemon that falls in the lava will not be burnt to death, by Heatran's mercy, but they will suffer anywhere between 1HP and 10HP of damage for each action they spend in the lava (For example, a Charizard or a Magmortar may take 1HP, whereas a Snover or a Paras would take 10HP, etc..). It takes one action to get out of the lava.

    Where the lava and the ocean meet, scalding steam constantly erupts; contact with it may induce a Burn.

    Both battlers begin inside the crater, beside the lava lake, on opposite sides of the 'stream.' Like a stream of water, a few rocks poke up from the lava. They can be used to cross the stream.

    ===Round 19===

    Tiamat didn't look so comfortable right now. Over the sea, a storm began to brew. Following the instruction of the conductor-which happened to be Armor, the stormclouds began to build until a Tropical Rainfall began to downpour over the area. With his conduction done very swiftly, Armor turned to see a very constipated looking Tiamat raising her hands in anguish.

    Maybe she needed some fib--o crap..

    GOD help us..:ives for cover-but not before taking a snapshot of the devastating power of Draco Meteor::

    *Rain Dance for 5 actions*

    ::Burrows free of the fallout, spots Tiamat dancing in the rain.::

    Alright. Tiamat, despite the fact that she's dancing in joy from successfully calling the Meteor of Draco upon her foe, is most likely feeling the toll of it. Armor crawls out of the squishing attack, utterly pissed. Lucky for him, he was knocked short of hitting the lava. Before he regained his focus, Tiamat swiftly dug underground. Armor finally gets his bearings, and prepares to shoot a Pulse of Water at Tiamat, but dosen't see her!

    Why waste energy if he dosen't see her? Idly, he waits, taking a glance at the upset Volcano...and all that lava flowing down the sides...o crap what did she DO!!!

    [AA: O.o Where she go? T: -4E]

    Armor had a notion, and began to walk around, to first test his feet, and second to watch the ground. His idea worked, as Tiamat popped free of the easy to sift through sand, scratching at Armor's feet and ankles like all midgits do in a fistfight.

    Knocked back a bit by how powerful this thing was, Armor focused again, and blasted Tiamat into the ground with a focused Water Pulse. Tiamat struggled against it, and managed to roll away. But she seemed dizzy...o crap.

    Confusion hit.

    Okay, Tiamat, that was pretty intense, so let's take it easy this round.

    Keep your distance from your opponent, and use Dragonbreath three times.

    You know, Darkly, that picture initially made me laugh out of patheticness, but looking at it just now has given me something more useful... Thanks.

    Double-A, look how stubby that shrimp's arms and legs are. I'm willing to bet if you knock her on her back, she'll be able to get up about as fast as a stoned turtle, you know...?

    "...Arm..."

    You thinking what I'm thinking...? Use Earthquake to knock her on her back, then rush in and use Strength to hurl her into the lava. Then, use Water Pulse to harden the lava around her and totally immobilize her!

    ===Round 20===

    With the fallout sending plumes of dust in the air, a new type of rain began to fall. It was thick with ash, and it was being fed even more by the violently awakened volcano. As such, the battlers were now mimicking a scene out of the Land Before Time.

    Double A was dead set on ending the battle, and started with a harsh shaking of the sands by using his pincers as seismic starters. Unfortunately...its sand. Harder to shake sand around since it moves, Tiamat only began to shift around in the sand, her low displacement to the ground just causing her to sink. However, though the blasted Earthquake, she shot off a thin stream of Dragonbreath, which hit nothing in her confusion.

    [AA: -9E T: -5E/-7H]

    After the Earthquake, the lava stream had changed course. It took on a more easterly path, bringing it nearer to Double A...and my sneakers..

    Uhh moving away from this spot, Double A ran over to the clever Gible, whom was already digging herself out of the sands she got stuck in.Double A was intent on using its Strength to pick up the little Gible and throw her away. However, upon being picked up, Tiamat turned and spat a nice large Dragonbreath on Double's A's pincers and chest area. The close proximity to an attack like that made Double A cringe, and he threw her out of disgust.

    Tiamat flew, but landed short of the lava bank. She turned around, watching as Double A started experienced trouble..moving his arms..ooh. Para got him.

    [AA: -5E/-5H T: -5E/-6H]

    This wasn't a setback though. Armor crafted a ball of Water as the rains seemed to be dying down, and hurled it at the confused Pokemon. Tiamat didn't see it coming, and was rocked backwards by the blast, rolling closer to the lava..no. Didn't fall in it. But she turned to look at it.

    And she began jumping for joy around it? Man, confusion sucks. She's shooting Dragonbreaths into it!

    [AA: -5E T: -5E/-8H]

    The rains ended, and with it, the ash fall. the lava stream hit the ocean and a new plume of scalding steam appears

    OK, Double-A, it's time to devise a new strategy...

    First, knock her into the lava with a well-aimed Flash Cannon. Then, use Earthquake again to try and sink her. After that, just Relax.

    If she doesn't fall in the lava, set up a Double Team, then fire a Water Pulse at her.

    Move: Flash Cannon, Earthquake, Relax
    Sub: ----------------, Double Team, Water Pulse

    Tiamat, use Protect to deflect that Flash Cannon.

    Since that will keep him from using Earthquake, use one of your own. Let's see his Double Team protect him from that.

    Finally, I want you to use your own Double Team to avoid another blasted Water Pulse.

    If at any time his paralysis keeps him from using his move, don't use your move. Just relax for that action.

    Tiamat stared the the bubbling lava for a few more moments, and then turned to look at her would-be attacker Double A. He shifted his feet and was able to exercize some motion. Critically aiming his pincers at Tiamat, a large sphere of liquified mercury would be fired for her. Dazed and confused as she was; Tiamat was able to follow orders though-and quickly erected a shield of translucent energy. The Flash Cannon hit the shield, splattering off in varied direction, leaving Tiamat unscathed.

    [AA: -9E T: -10E]

    Drat! That thing somehow survived! Double was pretty irate by now, and showed it in his focus. Almost instantly, a plethora of Armaldo's appeared. All eyes were on Tiamat, literally, as she visibly shook her head, the effects of confusion wearing off. Gathering herself, her focus became the sand once again. Instead of digging through it like the Land Shark she'd grow up to be, she opted to make it wiggle and shake like a Jello Bowl.

    Double A and his clones roared in anguish, but soon they all would fall-disappearing into the sands. Double A found himself partially sunken in as well.

    [AA: -5E/-10H T: -9E]

    Still undeterred, Double A forced himself out of the sand-quite easily. Tiamat though, was not allowing him any easy breaks, and split herself up into a number of clones, 4 to be exact. They all egged him on, as he forced a new -hotter Pulse of Seawater over at ..whom he thought was Tia. A scalding splash was heard but it was only water to sand-a clone dying in the process.

    Okay, Tiamat, you've got three decoys for protection, so just rest for the first two actions.

    For the third, let him have it with Dragon Rage.

    If he uses Protect to avoid the Dragon Rage, then just relax for that action too.

    Hey... AA, here's an idea...

    In Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald, I remember one of the old folks in Lavaridge Town saying something about hot sand being good for relaxing the body and releiving tension... Maybe that'll help your Paralysis...!

    "Arm...?"

    I know, it's a long shot, but it's worth a try. Hunker down in the sand and Relax for the first action. Maybe you can limber yourself up that way. If that works, use a combination of Aerial Ace and X-Scissor to mow through Tiamat's Double Team. If it doesn't work, Relax some more, and then use an Earthquake.

    As we battle here upon Kilauea, I can't help but look out onto the sea. Ahh, the majestic power of the ocean, from whence we all came.

    Err anyway. Tiamat looks ready to take a nap. With her clones about her, she hunkers down in the sand, and chills out. Double A watches Tiamat, while inching closer to her. Seeing she's not being a threat, he lies down, like his master ordered, and tries to relax ...in the sand...which gets in all his crevices...and kinda feels good, but kinda annoys too..

    [AA: +6E T: +6E]

    Well waddya know. The idea was working. Double A though, didn't really wanna hafta get up, it felt so good to relax. Heck, Tiamat was just chilling there! Well, if he couldn't do it, nor could she..err they. Arms moveable, he lunged forward, ripping up the sands with a hasty maneuver that allowed him to slash in an scissor pattern through Tiamat's mirage defense. Uncannily, his attack scored a direct hit, flipping Tiamat out of her roost and onto her back!

    Clones shuddered and dissipated, leaving a very sore looking Tiamat, in both body and spirit.

    [AA: -11E T: -15H (9 from X scissor, 6 from AA's AA.)]

    Standing back up, Double A looked over his shoulder at the downed dragon...only to see that she could get up fast, if she wriggled her body really fast like so. Flopping over to her side, she roared in protest and swathed herself in draconic flame, before spewing out her Rage-as only a Dragon can.

    Double A cowered, as he was hit with the barrage, that was a nasty little attack there she had going on..

    I'm going to have to protest this ruling. First of all, the in the video game, they used hot springs to relax, not hot sand. Second, there is nothing that says you can cure a condition that way. You cannot use video game lore to your benefit in an actual battle.

    I strongly protest the fact that AA was able to cure the Paralysis in this manner.

    What? Who says he's cured? I didn't say that the sands cured him of paralysis. I said the sands made his muscles relax. I'm not sayig it took the paralysis away. In truth-para just didn't affect him this round-as you can clearly see, he's still has Para under his end stats. o.o

    Its not gone at all, I still randomized if he was getting para and he didn't for that round. Had it hit, I wouLd have posted that the sands idea was crap(which it is, I'm not faulting you on that) and AA woulda been mad at his Trainer for making him lie there where it was all warm and then still get shocked.

    But, I can see why you thought that Sage. My fault .

    Okay, I've had enough...

    Tiamat, if this fossil seems so intent on making you confused, why disappoint him?

    Use Outrage.

    Since that will take up pretty much the whole round, that's my only instruction.

    New Battle!

    ===Rules===

    ===Round 23===

    Double A took a moment to assess the situation. Tiamat was still standing. Taht's all he had to care about. Moving his hands bout, he felt a tingling in his arm. Fearing a collapse of his body-he relax, even as the stinging slap of paralysis shocked though him. As he didn't struggle against it, he was able to find some solace. That was until Tiamat ran at him with the fury of a woman who found out she was pregnant and the baby's daddy didn't own up to it! What an Outrage!!!

    [AA: -7H T: -8E]

    Double A wouldn't risk that again, but he had no choice. As Tiamat continued to draw energy from herself and unleash it on Double A in the form of bites, kicks, scratches, mini Dragon Rushes and other assorted midget attacks, Double A found the split second of opportunity to back away from one of her multiple barrages, and throw a nice size Pulse of Water at her, smacking her down a bit. Behind him, he smelled seawater but paid no mind to it.

    [AA: -5E/-9H T: -8E/-6H]

    Still however, Tiamat continued on, delivering more erratic punishments upon Double A-even as he backs up. Sheesh! This girl just couldn't relax! Unfortunately...Tiamat was pretty damn smart. In the midst of their fighting, Tiamat managed to continue her barrage long enough to force Double A to stand in the scalding waters of the ocean. Rock or not, Double A freaked, as the steam scalded his tail and feet. NO NOT NOW! BURNED NOW! He fell on his knees, feet bubbly...

    ===Round 24===

    After all that work, we have a wounded Double A and a dizzy Tiamat. Fortunately, Armor does not have to worry about striking himself. Instead, he sits down, to lessen the pain on the soles of his feet and tail, and forces a Water Pulse from his mouth. The blast flies, striking Tiamat and knocking her over.

    She gets up and roars...at a rock. But that's it. Nothing more.

    [AA: -5E T: -6H]

    Tiamat, seeing that rock didn't move, had enough sense to try a different rock. But that's it. She just tried to roar at a different rock. However, the rock suddenly retreated into the sands, as the ground shook. Slamming his pincers against the ground repeatedly, Double A created a resonating Earthquake that toppled Tiamat and buried her again.

    [AA: -9E T: -8H]

    Feeling some sort of power into her, Tiamat was more than anxious to expel it. Two rocks weren't her target-ooh, let's try the large one over by the water! A summoning of draconic energy was subsequently forced out into a huge Dragon Pulse, energy searing toward Double A. Double A continued to focus, even as the draconic energy rained all over his body.

    Double A would suck up as much underlying energy in his body as would be allowed by the limits of nature. Paralysis seems to have taken a break today, which was capitalized on as he aimed and forced out a purely white beam of energy. This Beam shot across the sand, forcing emulsification of grains to glass. Tiamat received a frontal hit, sending her flying with the beam for yards, skidding across the hot sands as she did so.

    Right! First use Miracle Eye.

    With his Dark-Type immunity taken out, hit him with Psychic.

    Then get up close and use Wake-Up Slap.

    If he uses a Flamethrower or Fire Blast, use Protect instead of your current move. But if that means using it instead of Miracle Eye, use Miracle Eye on your second move. I want that done.

    ===Round 25===

    Here we are folks, the Pokemon round known as Sudden death, One last chance for each trainer to pull out all the stops and put the hurt on the others Pokemon, and ego!

    Fight!

    No sooner than I telegraph the word in my mind, does Yumi immediately flips backwards, and closes her arms around her person. Chain, unfearing, dashes forward, crossing the stream in two bounds. Upon finishing his cross his fur smelt singed, as the smoke trailing from his jaws could only mean something unpleasant.

    Yumi watched as Chain dashed closer, crossing a barrier of sorts that allowed Chains body to suddenly acquire a thin film-though invisible to Chain. This film allowed Yumi to no longer worry about Chain's immunity! Unfortunately, that wasn't the problem she had to deal with immediately.

    Chain roared, and emitted a hyperbolic blast of fire from his now Overheated body! The blast caught Yumi totally off guard, flying backwards in pain. Chain panted, feeling a bit drained but whatever! He had more!

    *No longer immune to Psy attacks*

    Unsure about this match now, Yumi got up, gladly unscathed. Chain shook off the fatigue he felt, and dashed forward, jaws opening to Crunch upon Yumi's arm. Yumi was a bit smarter than that, and made sure to jump back from the chomping hound, forcefully throwing him back with a Psychic!

    Chain flipped back, but landed on his feet. Something was wrong here, how the hell did that hurt? Irate that she used some sort of evil magick-Chain began to glow a deep shade of ebony...

    [Y: -6E C: -8E/-8H]

    Yumi spotted the pup glowering in its own darkness, and began her way over. Chain didn't let her get too close though, and emitted a Dark (albiet weaker) sweeping Pulse of energy-knocking Yumi off her feet. Yumi panted in surprise, and resolve. She resumed her run toward Chain, smacking the dog on his nose! Chain freaked out, running back a few feet, near the edge of the stream.

    Yumi, first use Water Pulse.

    When he comes at you with Pursuit, or tries to, use Focus Punch to make him punch drunk.

    Then, use Drain Punch.

    New Battle!

    ===Rules===

    ===Round 26===

    Chain bounced back into the match, but his nose was still sore. Barking left and right, he began to snap on her bubbalips...*SNICKER* I'm sorry, but this is funny..

    Chain* Dour dour HOUND! *I know everything abut shrimp! From catching em to cooking them, you name it, I know it. I like shrimp!*

    Yumi didn't take well to that. At all. She made Chain pay for his insolence though, by blasting the poor pup with a hefty Pulse of Water, that struck him direly close to the lava-but not in.

    [Y: -5E C: -4E/-9H]
    *Taunted....4 actions. Lucky*

    Heating up his body, Chain forced the water on him to evaporate. Yumi stared down the pup, and then backed away, hiding her fists, one which began to glow. Thinking she was going to run away, Chain dashed forward-approaching her faster than normal.

    Within range for a fearsome Pursuiter's attack barrage, Chain just got a powered up fit to the jaw! The devastating hit sent Chain flipping and rolling backwards, scarring his body from bouncing on this craggy surface.

    [Y: -13E C: -5E/-23H]*

    Chain lied there, hurt. That punch hurt his jaw. Teeth fell out! Upset she messed up his grillz, Chain howled, and changed up his tactic, Dashing at her again, his skin and fur attained a metallic sheen. Dashing past her, he ran up the crater wall partially,before bouncing off and crashing into an unsuspecting Yumi with his rear! The Iron Tail smacked her in the head, causing her to fall down. But Yumi wasn't out, and made an extra effort to connect her second Punch to Chain's left rear leg, knocking his rear on the ground.

    Yeah, she took that health back, snitch >>

    Okay, Yumi, you're doing okay.

    First, use Water Pulse again.

    Then, use Psychic again.

    For your third move, if he uses an offensive move, use Protect. If he doesn't, just relax. You may be winning, but this guy is still dangerous.

    Cloud her vision (and her body) with Smog, and then shoot a Fire Blast into it. I wanna see Darkly take a pic of a mushroom cloud with a Jynx at its epicenter. Finally, while she's Relaxing, use Nasty Plot to revitalize your Special Attack power.

    ===Round 27===

    This match continues all hot and heavy. Yumi wastes no time in congealing vapor into liquefied water, Pulsing it at Chain. Chain, however, begins to emulsify a fog, Smogging up the vision of Yumi so her Water Pulse only partially connects. He then darts within the fog, mwahaha ninja dog.

    [Y: -7E/-2H C: -5E/-6H]

    Pissed that this smog is having an adverse affect on her vision-Yumi mentally concentrates on her next attack. Focusing all her available energy to her abilities, she lets out a formidable Psychic, that burns a bit at her mental trackways. Chain, as anxious as ever, watches as the Psychic blast misses him completely, tires Yumi, and clears away his Smog. Crap!

    S'alright though, as it takes him a while to conjure up, and fire a mid-sized Fire Blast at Yumi. Dang Overheat messed him up...but Yumi still felt the burn!

    [Y: -10E/-15H C: -8E]

    Dazed by the Fire Blast, Yumi needed a moment. She could finally have one to herself, as Taunt's effect wore off. Looking at Chain..she spotted he wasn't threatening right now. So she relaxed.

    But ooh, that Chain was Plotting something Nasty..

    OK, Chomplet, we're almost done. Keep your distance from that sucker-punching bimbo, and spit a Flamethrower at her. Then use Dark Pulse. Finish with Shadow Ball.

    Miracle Eye does not wear off until the user faints. It says so in the D/P Attack List.

    Yumi, first use Protect against that Flamethrower.

    Next, blast him with a Hyper Beam.

    You'll have to rest after that, so do so. It should be enough to at least slow him down.

    Damn, I don't even see when rounds begin and end. Yumi's already on the defensive, as Chain mercilessly releases a stream of fire that all but coats the shield in a layer of thick flame. However, Yumi's pushing through the flames, causing them to refract off her Protection.

    [Y: -10E C: -8E]

    Noting she's walking though fire..Chain stops, opting for the darker approach. Animating pure shadows-he releases their anguish in a Pulsating wave that Darkens everything it touches. Yumi though stands there, focused on her own attack, and unwittingly gets sucker punched by the blast, knocking her down for the moment.

    And..she still sits there..confused?-Oohh. she flinched!

    [Y: -15H C: -7E]

    Upset she flinched, Yumi could do nothing for the moment as Chain took pure advantage, lunging upon her and using his widdle doggy paws to hold her dress down as he nailed a ShadowBall to her mid-section.

    Yumi screamed in pain, before toppling over, part of her dress tearing due to Chain's interference.
