Ok. Still not there yet, but Im still thinking on it.

So ok, after literally months of research, and enough reading to make whoever makes the Oxford Dictionary look like a pansy, I got a question that should be easily answers.. but its not.

Sorta like when making a team, what do you recommend/commonly use?


But see, this is for the Battle Tower, and not just P2P battling. So basically you gotta cut yer squads in half. And since everyone's opponents are generated at random, it makes for an interesting comparison to see what overall stategies work.

So far, I know I'm going to get owned in the Tower, but that won't happen until after fight#10. I'm going to try a really weird concept team, but I'd like to see what others have tried, and proven successful.


So far I got a Metagross with the moves you usually see on a Metagross

Oddly enough, this friggin Metang has the Personality that is -Spd but +Spec Def, hence why I shoved it up the butt in Speed.

E-Quake
Psychic {May be replaced with Shadowball}
Meteor Mash
Rain Dance

No Agility cause it learns it on Level 56{Only working W/ lvl 50
}, and I could do Light Screen actually, but its Spec Def is rising like hotcakes. Does help that I shoved it up the butt a bit with Spec Def EV's too... E-Quake and Meteor Mash and S-Ball are Lala all Physical Attaxorz...and then Rain Dance is there for a weird reason...

Rest/Protect/Fill

Special Sweeper really, but see, with Rest there, it could be a tank, cause its Defenses are good enough and I plugged it up the butt with Spec Def EV's So it could possibly take a hit, as long as its not Dragon based >_o

Now, I put Rain Dance on Meta to switch into Kingdra, so speed could be doubled. Didn't really want to give Kingdra Rain Dance, because then it can't get Rest. I know it seems weird, but then again, what's the fun if you don't have a few surprises. And shoot I should be able to strike hard after Meta takes down the first Pokemon, Little attack, then R-Dance, and then kill, switch, and with Kingdra.

In the event that both of them fall, I cry because I honestly have no clue who to make as my third. I was thinking Dusclops with an annoyer moveset, but frankly, I'm getting tired of seeing Dusclops...so I thought Ninetales, and then I realized how ugly Ninetales is .. and then I sat down and thought some more...and then I said n_n Gardevoir! And then I laughed and rethought it through and through.... and I then turned the pages in my book a bit and I pulled out...

Zangoose

Of course, I haven't even looked at Zangoose, but I thought about it real well, and I pulled up this set of

Swords Dance
Double Kick/Brick Break
Thunder/Water Pulse
Aerial Ace

Ok, this is probably the weirdest looking set you'll ever see for a Zangoose, but here's my reasoning. No one is going to expect you to come out with a Zangoose -wielding Thunder {Unless its one of you guys >_> who think this stuff out 37 ways from Sunday}

But ok. Swords Dance to help out with Aerial Ace and Brick BreaK. Kill off all Fighters, or at least weaken them substantially. {Why can't he learn Baton Pass >_o...}

Thunder or Water Pulse. Par or Confusion, dun matter take yer pick, to come into play when I switch from Metagross to him. I'm trying to keep it a water enhanced team, that's NOT weak to electricity. Sure, Par may come, but I'm not counting on that. S'why I want Zan to come in strong, hit with a Thunder if applicable, if not, Swords Dance, live through one hit, and crack down with one of its Physical Hits. I think it works kinda well..Gonna kick its butt full of Sp Def-Def and Hp, and whatever is left, throw that in SA.

And I look over the weaknesses here...

Fighting: 1
Dragon: 2
Fire: 1
Ground: 1

Kingdra can cover its own tail...Zan can too, Meta..Rain Dance may sav it from Fire, Switching out may be the only choice when it comes to HP ground....and knowing my luck, Wobbuffet is going to have a field day with me.

But yeah, A bit weird, but I think it'll work. SO what do you guys think of when it comes to 3 on 3 battles? And I 'll let you know how this team fares. Not to worry, I have two Meta's... about to make three, and enough E-quake TM's for a while.
