I doubt that. All the confirmed characters at the Dojo have unique renders for "Brawl", so why wouldn't any other playable characters?

EDIT: Oh, and I'd like to add that Ashley's presence in that screenshot makes it questionable, since she was supposed to be deconfirmed as a WarioWare stage detail:

Me and my Dad actually watched the first several seconds of the video in question...and it looked like there was a question mark floating over the alleged screen...so I'm thinking that they may NOT necessarily be passing it off as the real roster.

Meh, "Brawl's" coming out in Japan Thursday, and when that happens...THE FLOODGATES WILL OPEN!!

Anyways, today's update (Vault) was interesting, IMHO.

Ehh, the vault update felt more like a summary of things we knew to me... The only new bit of news was the Chronicle section, which is a very neat little feature (acknowledgement of the Virtual Boy!), and something I hadn't realised, you can save replays of modes other than battling.
Thought I'd re-affirm, I really do like the replay feature, though I just hope you can choose which three minutes you want saved, instead of just the first or last three minutes of the match... Or perhaps highlights would be really neat. Three minutes feels so limiting (I want to record the hilarious battles that drag on for ten minutes!), though I did a test run last night on Melee to see how long matches might take (me and three computers, 5-stock, randomly at Mushroom Kingdom II). The match was over in 2:40, which is promising, though I'm pretty sure that with human competition that number would potentially double.
I really want to save the hilarious Smash happenings that occur... So many great memories.

I was joking. I know that Brawl characters get their own render for the game, and since that fake was using images that were probably found on Google (like the official art Micaiah or Marth from FEDS). I was making light of that since it is one of the worst fakes I have ever seen.

All that being said and done... FINALLY!!! MY FALCO IS BACK!!! I cannot get enough of that picture of him...
It's just so sweet, this game has almost everything I need. All that's left is this, possibly the best music track in Nintendo history that seems to have gone forgotten (especially since Bramble Blast and Gangplank Galleon have already been confirmed!!) And maybe some Tetris Attack music. Then my wishlist will be near-complete!!!

A.W.E.S.O.M.O. = Cartman in a cardboard box robot costume from an episode where he tries to get Butters to tell him all his embarrassing secrets. Not real, Starry made the pics herself. Though that fourth one looks pretty convincing.

(Spoiler:) R.O.B. was a Nintendo peripheral for the NES. It would... well, pick things up. It was playable in Mario Kart DS. Hopefully it doesn't surface as playable here, but the list that had it has been entirely accurate so far.

LOL I got news for you it's been useless for ages now, since OMG Ganondorf was also confirmed.

One character that was guaranteed to return hardly made the dojo redundant.

It's not just the roster list, but it's everything to do with SSE and whatever other extras there are in the game. By the end of this working week, one of those crazy Japanese fellas will have unlocked every God damn feature, and I'll read about it on the net. Since I'm pretty sure the dojo will keep updating until the American release (I'm sure they said it was going to), I won't be going there again since I'd have found out already.

And about the 3rd third party character. There doesn't have to be one. Sakurai said that there'd be one or two more 3rd party characters other than Snake.

To be entirely honest, after the excitement of this mornings update, the new roster really doesn't seem to impressive.

btw, take a look at the very end of the intro video. Notice something? Check the copyrights, Konami and Sega are present, but that's it. Looks like there won't be another 3rd party character after all.

Well, Sakurai said that most of the characters are unlocked in SSE.

(Spoiler:) The strange thing about 'Toon' Link is that he isn't Cel-shaded like he was in the Wind Waker. It looks quite good imo. But he's still very much a Link clone.

Wolf is in the game, just watched it on the stream a second ago, and he looks quite good from what little I saw. But apparently his final smash is....the landmaster, which is the SAME as Falco and Fox. Seriously.

Trying to get pics of everybody's final smash that haven't really been revealed yet, but asses without peercast keep connecting to the stream and lagging it to kingdom come. Fucking leechers.

So far I've gotten (Spoiler:) Marth - Critical Hit, looks like a OHKO
G&W - Becomes Cthulhu, too laggy to see effects

(Spoiler:) I'm actually pretty pleased with Wolf being in the game... But that Landmaster shit is pitiful.
Back when we first discovered Fox's FS was the Landmaster, I thought, perfect. Fox uses the Landmaster, Falco will whip out an Arwing. Makes perfect sense.
Then they stick Falco in a Landmaster. FALCO, THE ACE PILOT who says something to the effect of, 'I'll take the sky any day.'

That stung. ...But then Wolf. Wolf O'Donnell, badass mercenary who according to how good the writing is may or may not want Fox dead (good writing - he does), happened to steal a Landmaster (or found one on his way to work), and paint it red.

Not happy. But hey, the fact that Wolf is in it is good enough. He's an awesome character, sometimes. Just like Leon used to be before he got on the helium...

Personally, I love the roster. I may not have gotten (Spoiler:) Ridley, (Spoiler:) AC Kid (who I'd never use anyway) or (Spoiler:) customizable Miis, and I did tragically have to put up with (Spoiler:) friggin' R.O.B., but the fact that me and my three Smash playing friends have all found new characters to use surely suggests that the roster has enough good new characters. Even if they all (Spoiler:) have Landmasters. I'm just saying.

I'd agree with you there. They took out a few of the clones, and probably Mewtwo (who sucked, tbh). Although they left in Ice Climbers...

Most of the new characters are pretty awesome, tbh. Hell, if they had the original roster and just added Sonic and Snake, I'd be happy.

I like to think that in Wolf's case, though, the Star Wolf team somehow got a hold of the Landmaster plans, and made their own tank with their colors, but shaped the same as Star Fox's just to annoy Fox and Co. (LOL ;-P).

Overall, I'm okay with the final roster. I'm thinking this will be my "Brawl" team (newcomers in Bold):

* Falco (I could have lived without him if he was cut, but since he's back, I'll go ahead and keep him)
* Fox
* Jigglypuff
* Lucario (he's on my "Pokemon Diamond" team)
* Marth (did I mention I'm ÜBER-ÜBER-HAPPY he's back? LOL, wheee! ^_^)
* Peach
* Pikachu
* Samus (so I can use Zero Suit Samus, too)

I lost Pichu from my "Melee" team, but I'm cool with that.
