Round 51

Back into the match, Scizor beats his wings in order to gain some left, before shooting over toward the rooted competition. Naval anxiously watched as the crimson streak reached his quadrant and..faded away. Tendrils went out to the left and right, and they coiled around what seemed to be the Scizor, but just like that, they faded away. Mystified, Naval spotted two more Scizors grinning. She had been duped by the Double Team. Damnit.

Upset her throw was messed, Naval pouted and looked down. As she raised her attention to the dual clamped attackers, she felt a sharp pain on her base. Both Scizors criss crossed their flight patterns so their Steel Wings would crack into her base, trying to cut her loose. It was a no go-but it still stung Naval.

She lashed back at the second Scizor tendrils wrapping around cool steel and began to drain energy form it. Unlucky Scizor it turned out to be! As its clone evaporated, Scizor writhed in agony as his health was ebbed away and given to Naval!

Scizor didn't give up, and broke free of the tendrils this time. Naval didn't care, she still had alot of energy left. Having the initiative, she blasted the Bug backwards with a plethora of Stones that sent Scizor sailing once more. Barely able to withstand the barrage of sharp Edged stones, the winged Crimson streak shot once again for Naval, metal clamps beginning to glow.

A very harsh set of swipes later, and Naval was slumped forward, eyes listless. Mimicking a Scissor's action with his arms, Scizor jumped to the leafy platform, and waited, seeing if Naval had any life left. Slowly, her head raised, and she shook off the sick feeling.

As the Safeguard faded, the Bulborb walked away, and the ominous sound of raindrops started...

Round 52

Scizor takes Naval for granted momentarily, and launches himself up the steep incline once more. Wings buzz with every lunge, until he is close enough to fling particles off his carapace into the Wind. The Silvery slivers strike Naval, but she guards against it, forcing the Coating wind directly back at Scizor. While the attack bothered the hell out of Naval, Scizor didn't seem too phased by it at all.

In fact, he seem to revel in his own matter being reapplied back upon him. Hrm, that can't be good.

Confused, Naval quickly tried to ensure her opponent underwent the same mental state she was currently enduring. A Ray shot, out winding and twirling with vibrant color, bent on Confusing Scizor. The Metal bug blinked, and Slashed wildly, hitting nothing but air! Lucky Naval. Even luckier still as the rain began to fall harder now, moving Scizor back ever so slowly....

Knowing her luck may not hold out, Naval took no chances. Tugging at the ground with her roots, she caused the slick slant to start tumbling mud. The rainwater did not help Scizor as well. Footing was lost and the bug went sailing down, and over the lip of the cliff...or did he.

Hanging by his left clamp, Scizor idly swung there, watching as the torrential deluge of Mud and water fell, obviously upset from its resting place by that Earthquake. But, quick as a ninja, Scizor flipped back upon the ledge and fought his way up the current of mud. Naval watched with unsettled fury as the Steel/Bug actually was able to reach her, and deliver a brutal attack to her head...before allowing himself to fall off, and fly to the leaf instead, where stable ground awaited.

So, it's down to 7 VS. 10. Not good...

OK, time to fight fire with fire... (holds out a chrome Poke Ball)

...And Steel with Steel! Sir Grodus (Metagross[N]), I choose you!

[DarkestLight]

Swirls of steel balls float about, and soon, Scizor finds himself on a purely metallic stage. Large Steel towers loom overhead, and a large set of bay doors slam shut, locking away the other rooms that may loom in this area.

The scent of diesel oil and industrial processes can easily be detected, and Scizor feesl a slight uneasiness about this stage. Jumping to the highest catwalk, Scizor barely evades a looming, roaming searchlight. The light follows himupward, but zips to the left, focusing in on a spot.

Upon being spotted, a crackle could be heard, before an electromagnetic field starts to give way to natural light. Refracting beams and translucency begin to fade toward an azure hue, until the field finally fades away. Lying with its arms out in an X formation, the blue joints creak, before springing the metal disc up to its natural position. Red eyes glare at Scizor, indicating he was ready for whatever the bug could throw at him.

Scizor returned the look with a sharp steely glare of his own, pincers clamping twice in a taunting manner. His last fight was a warm-up as far as he was concerned. Sir Grodus clamped his jaws open and shut, ready to show him who ruled the Steel Haven.

Welcome to Shadow Moses.

Shadow Moses? Sweetness.

Grodus, begin with a Psychic attack: Grab Scizor and slam him into a few walls and floors. Then, bury him under a Rock Slide, and when he busts his way out, use Brick Break.

If he doesn't get out of the Rock Slide, use Magnet Rise instead.

Round 53

A light wind blows through this desolated bunker, leaving a sense of death lingering in the air. Sir and Sci know the feeling all too well of an embodiment of unfeeling nature. As the gust floated some small scraps of paper away, Scizor and Sir Grodus began their battle. Both Scizor and Grodus jumped back, the latter crossing two of its four appendages across its face. A aura of energy began to grow, and was released at the crimson opponent. Pincers were raised, and legs were steadied, as the Psychic blast struck him full force. His Iron body seemed to be tearing away as the Psychic power pushed against his body, but soon the force subsided, and Scizor stood to the ready, proud of his bolstered Defense.

Raising one arm, Scizor beckoned for Grodus to try better than that.

Grodus answered the taunt by gripping the pillar behind him with the rear appendages he could spare. His grip was frightening, as the column groaned and creaked, bending and denting where his grip lied. Scizor wasn't sure what he was planning, until the metal disc pushed off the column, attaining a great speed to ram into Scizor with. The bug, though faster, was not ready for the burst of speed and was slammed against he pillar behind him. Grodus raised a hand and gripped Scizor's head, to which Scizor bodily objected to. A large orb of metallic shavings was suddenly formed and fired from Scizor's left pincers-marring Grodus vision.

His grip unbroken, Grodus took his anger out on Scizor, by repeatedly slamming him into the column, until pieces of it began to crumble. Blow after blow after blow was delivered by Grodus, until the Column fell, Scizor falling within its debris. As the column Slid from its great height, Grodus watched upon the catwalk, seeing only a hint of crimson. Didn't look like Scizor was getting out of that.

Buried under the rubble, and feeling like he tried to slam into a truck head-on, Scizor weakly raised his arm. Trapped for the moment, Scizor slammed his arms at the rubble and began to dent his steel prison.

Grodus listened to the bangs as a sort of song, metallic lids shitting close so it could feel the angst of his opponent trapped by their shared element. As Scizor's earnestness grew, Grodus began to Rise off of the catwalk bodily-that same EM field it used to cloak itself now being used as a reverse polarization Magnet. There he floated, a finally an hole was split in the steel rubble, and a pincer shone through. It then relaxed for the time being, as Scizor needed a moment to rethink this plan.

Round 53

The energy needed to free himself from the rubble seemed to be depleted from an unknowledgeable point of view. But, with a slow moment, that once visible pincer waved back and forth, simultaneously hitting against the steel prison. Unhappy with what was going on below, Grodus flew down to the median catwalk, and smashed an end of it off, trying to further entomb the Scizor.

It seemed to work, as the Pincer slowed in its movement, but it picked up speed again. And soon, a large enough hole was dented in the steel prison for Scizors glowering eyes to be seen.

Unsure what that bug could be planning, Grodus began to mentally lock minds with Scizor trying to align their kindred spirits. However, his attempt was disrupted by the unnerving sound of millions of small insects under his carapace, causing extreme agony to his hearing. Floarting backwards, two arms released from their upright and folded positions, waving around widly. When would the Buzzing end!

It did soon enough, as Scizor poked his head out, pincers holding either side of the rubble of the tower. Grodus, regaining some semblance of sanity, reaffirmed his mental link, relishing his opponent's very zen-like state..

Feeling the added prowess to his natural attributes, Grodus raised all four arms to the air and came hurtling down toward the ground. Scizor was swift to release another Silvery Wind, backed up by the rubble behind him. Grodus shut his eyes and flew through the pain, slamming all four legs into the metal flooring. The whole arena began to shift and shake, and the first impact tremor was so strong that it threw Scizor up and over the highest catwalk. Scizore landed with a thud above, and suffered the rest of the attack's power from up there. Grodus retracted his appendages one at a time, and turned to look vertically. A large series of cracks were now visible from the rear wall, and red light shone through them, indicating a very hotter room behind their own.

Vision then noticed a deeper red overlying the cracks. Focusing a bit more, Grodus gave out a metallic cry of anger. There, Scizor was perched, still feeling as great as ever. Again, that pincer was raised, and the taunt delivered. This match just turned uglier...

Round 54

Scizor watched warily as the monstrosity below him began to levitate. Backing toward the weakened wall, Scizor made sure to throw up a refractive Protective shield around his body. No sooner was that shield up then did a massive thrust of Psychic Energy blast against it, forcing him back a bit. Scizor grunted against the shields buffering, but it held, leaving Grodus dissatisfied.

Grodus didn't take the insect seriously at the beginning, and now it was starting to show. It once again tried to lock minds with Scizor hoping to understand its will to fight-why was it so strong? As he attained a foothold, his body underwent a sudden shock. Scizor blasted forward, and forcibly rammed his Iron Head into Grodus's side, knocking off its equilibrium. Twisting around, Grodus reattained its composure, but realized he lost the mind lock. Damn!

Grodus quickly felt his electrolevitation dissipate from beneath him, and quickly settled for floating under his own Psychic prowess. In this state however, he knew he was now vulnerable to Ground type actions again. To try and ensure that the Bug did not capitalize on this, Grodus shot forward, Arm out like a battering Ram. Scizor smirked and created a slew of copies to try and curve Grodus off--but somehow the Metagross found Scizor directly.

In actuality, I think Scizor felt he had energy, and then realized he ran out, so he thought he saw clones of himself..

Putting his whole flying mass behind the arm, Grodus made sure Scizor was Hammered into the back wall-which then crumbled! Scizor lied in a heap, as Meta was privy to a large machine looking down upon him.....

It seems like Metal Gear has decided to show itself...



Grodus, use your Psychic powers to lift Scizor up and send it flying at Metal Gear. Try and make it look like Scizor is attacking instead of you throwing him. If we're lucky, old Metal-head will attack Scizor and do the work for you.

After that, wait for the Giga Impact... Then, use Psyslam: Grab him with your Psychic powers, spin him around you, and use his own momentum to slam him into a wall or, better yet, Mr. Giant Robot.

If he has enough power to use another Giga Impact, use Psyslam again. Otherwise, just Relax for the last round.

Round 55

The metallic menagerie continues on! Scizor, weakened in energy, but not in spirit, merely gets to his haunches. Wings can be heard beating faster and faster, trying to cool down his overheated interior. He's about to get some aid though, from a most unlikely source.

Grodus hops onto the catwalk and rushes the insect, lifting him up with one appendage. The appendage drops, leaving Scizor floating by sheer Psychic will alone. A wistful through sends Scizor flying against his will, and he collides right into the face of Metal Gear Ray..who swings in defense! Scizor is knocked back into the arena, landing face first in front of Grodus.

BUT HE STILL MOVES!!!

SG: -7E ==///== Sciz: -10H -.-...Gonna harm the hell out of him...

Grodus reached over to grab Scizor again, but the bug jumped back and continued to move backwards and erratically, Grodus unable to get a lock. Damnit! Hyping himself up, Scizor sped up his body to the absolute limit thus far, and threw himself at the Metagross.

A tad bit shocked at the overexertion this insect was willing to accomplish, Grodus crossed its appendages, and held his ground.

The sheer force of the Impact-Scizor's pincers held out, focusing on one of Grodus's arm joints-was enough to force Grodus's arm to bend, weakening his block, and succumbing to the power Scizor unleashed. It was Grodus's turn to be sent flying, and that he did better than Scizor. The metallic Frisbee soared high, until it was blasted even higher buy a series of missiles from Metal Gear! After a few moments, Grodus crash-landed back int eh arena, smoldering!

Oh-he wasn't having that! Realizing one of his arms was out of order, Grodus latched ethereally onto Scizor's wings, and yanked. Scizor flew backwards, but as soon as he was close enough for Grodus to punch, Grodus spun to evade? Scizor whipped around and was slingshot off once again! Again, the incoming Pokemon was attacked by Metal Gear, and Scizor ended up landing next to Grodus once more.

Both Pokemon hurting, they just lied there like scrap metal in a damn junkyard. Metal Gear Ray left, and some other weird small joints hopped around now.

Round 56

The duo of metal monsters each stood up, against better ideas, and tried once more to topple th other. Scizor was the quicker of the two, as Grodus was able to send the mass of debris around in motion. While the masses of rebar and concrete flew toward Scizor, the crimson bug slammed both Pincers into the oncoming, trying to volley them back at Grodus.


Yeah...that didn't work too well, as he was smashed up pretty bad by that Rock Slide

Its a straight attack that has more power the lower my enegy is. Scizor wouldnt have tried to reflect anything back....

Yeah, I know Reversal is'nt Counter, but how are you going to reverse the momentum of a Rock Slide directed at you without getting hit? Trust me, I thought about making Scizor's back act as a C-shaped luge to shoot the rocks back...but that made no sense. And I thought about having Scizor catch the rocks, but again, he woulda got smacked a few of them, so better to have him be wiped.

And as for ASB definition

Reversal: If used in desperation when the user is at a disadvantage (not necessarily health-wise), the power of Reversal goes up a great deal. If successful, the brunt of whatever attack the opponent used is reversed in such a way that the original attacker suffers far worse than the Reversal-using victim. Reversal is very tiring, and it is not always possible to counterattack, since not all attacks lend themselves to being reversed. Highly variable damage. Variable accuracy.

Start with Heat Wave and follow with Will o wisp if it didnt cause a burn. Sunny Day if it did. End with a Fire Spin.

Scizor down, Grodus was the only force left on the field for a moment. The stage swirled, and soon became a hellish sauna for the steel Type- as lava loomed all around. Backing to the edge of the highest right platform, his mental acuity pinpointed a new life form entering.

O great... a fire type. Just Grodus' luck. Emitting a strange frequency of sounds, Grodus was able to channel some cooled magmatic pegmatite up from the depths, and fling them at the pup.

Growlithe just got to the match, and was quietly pondering its surroundings, when all of a sudden, the danged roof fell on him! Howling in protest, it didn't take him long to spot the blue-totally out of Place Pokemon staring him down. Well, he'd have to fix that.

Grodus began to feel even warmer, notably so as the Growlithe came ever closer. So much that Grodus lied on his stomach plate, and closed his eyes in the midst of this Heat Wave.

Grodus opened his eyes, after the superheat passed. A little dizzy, the larger Pokemon was quick to grab the pup by its now searing hot metallic appendage, and hold Growlithe still, as a mass of poisonous substances was created, and later released all over Growlithe. In retaliation, as the Toxic dripped over his fur, a searing blue flame shot up from under Grodus's leg, and the beast stomped backwards, aching. Raising and retracting its front left appendage-Grodus looked carefully, noting the weakened metallic alloy that was his skin.

Danged pup Burned him!

Unable to walk on all four legs, Grodus felt a bit off balance. It was time to float. Folding all his legs in, Grodus floated skyward in order to continue this battle. Being the faster of the two, Grodus mentally held Growlithe's mouth shut. Growlithe felt the trouble instantly, as steam began to flare from his nostrils. The embers needed for the Fire Spin began to seep out of the gaps between his teeth, causing him a great deal of agony.

Side note: Holy crap you both are at single digits for Pokemon remaining in the wings. That's quite fantastic.

Round 58

The pup on the field looked a bit worried. Over to the right, a giant lava wall was starting to build up. If it kept up, it would engulf the stage. He lunged, calling up fiery energies as he did so. Upon landing on the lower platform holding Grodus, he unleashed a Flamethrower that hurt the metallic beast, but did not move him.

Crap, it was getting closer! Grodus didn't seem to care. Jumping over the disc, and landing on the edge of this platform, Growlithe shot another stream of flames at him. Grodus winced, but still didn't move

Scared of the lava now, and knowing that Grodus may just as well sit through it, A translucent shield enveloped Growlithe. Grodus blinked when he saw the shield-his whole plan was a wash now. Still, following instruction, the lava wall would soon engulf him. The last remnants of his consciousness went to initiating the self destruct sequence programmed into his body.

The resulting Explosion rattled throughout the stage, as the heightened power he acquired through his battle with Scizor gave that much more power for him to unleash. It was desperation fueling Growlithe now as fiery waves struck the shield, but somehow the small pup was able to withstand the intense onslaught. Looking up once the carnage inducing power ended, all he could see was lava searing everything around him. He coughed, stupid toxic, and noted the charred husk of Grodus off to the side of the highest platform.

Damn.

Round 59

The newer surroundings were pleasant enough. Growlithe walked around the small spit of sand he stood on, complete with green pipe. To his dismay, as he gazed out to the ocean, a shark fin popped up from the depths. Knowing his opponent was now a water dweller, Growlithe made to dash to the other side of the island. His Agility was stunted as a streak of Aqua Jetted past him even faster, and struck him off trajectory. Falling over and landing on the edge of the water, Growlithe shook his head in confusion. The shark fin was already lurking on the opposing side of the isle...easily a cause for dismay.

Having only gotten a small speed boost, Growlithe took his slight advantage and tried his best to capitalize. Dashing across the island, Growlithe dashed the circumference of the land, and lunged, coming at John a bit faster then he expected. Jones was used as a Smashing spring board, the added effect of Growlithe slamming his feet into Jone's head with the weight of a few Rocks. Pained by that dirty move, Jones sunk under, and raged upwards, Jaws opening wide. Growlithe was unable to land back on land, as Jones Crunched onto that bushy tail.

Landing was going to be had, and Growlithe thought fast. Orbs of a color were quickly thought of, summoned, and fired. However, the blast seemed to do nothing to Johnathan, as they both slammed into the water, Johnathan Diving deeper into the ocean with Growlithe in tow!!

As they swim down, we can see that there is pain on Jones face-that Hidden Power did hurt.

Round 60 (wow, lol)

The deep blue sea. We're taking a plunge here, to see our latest combatants, and this sticky predicament Growlithe has gotten into. Knowing his underwater time is limited, he acts fast. Johnathan wasn't expecting the lightning fast claws to the fAce, as the firepup pushed off the shark and shot upward. It wasn't without injury however, as Johnathan's fangs did cut into Growlithe as he fled.

But Johnathan had a deeper reason for wanting to call the Rain to his aid. He gave suit, obviously mad. A thin trail of blood followed, showing that Growlithe's hasty exit left him without 4 teeth! He trajectory was erratic though, alluding moreso that his Rain Dance was being completed while in pursuit.

Growlithe barely broke the surface in time for his lungs to expel all that carbon dioxide, when Johnathan surged upward as well, breaching the ocean and vaulted skyward. Reversing his positioning in midair, Johnathan's bloodthirsty eyes caught the swath of orange-red he was seeking. The force used to propel John up was duly blocked however, the Briny power deflected by a shield Growlithe was floating in momentarily. Johnathan splashed back into the ocean, horridly angry this pup was still surviving.

Feeling really out of his element, Growlithe hastily swam for land, but his luck would only hold out so long. It wasn't long at all before a huge wave was created by the angry shark, and caught up to the exasperated pup. Caught by the undertow, Growlithe was sucked under and thrown up through the Surf, finally coming to a harsh landing on the spit of land. However, his landing seemed to only reaffirm his spirit. Bouncing and roiling with the impact, Growlithe rebounded, and even through the Rain, called upon his native powers to Flare around him. Johnathan saw a small red dot beginning to grow, until it Blitzed into the water right at his position.

The instant heat not only scalded Johnathan, but superheated the water in the area. Growlithe though, was evidently worn down, and is barely able to keep afloat. His own sickness isn't helping any, nor was crashing into the ocean head-first.
