I've never used WLM, but I know that a lot of programs like that will go to the corner if you just click the minimize button. Have you tried that?
I dunno how or why, but Windows Live Messenger (AKA MSN Messenger) has drastically changed in appearance since I last used it about 12 hours ago.
I'm fine with that - I don't mind. But it seems that I can't X out the window without inadvertantly signing out of WLM entirely. It disappears from the toolbar and I have to reopen the Start Menu and sign back in for its icon to reappear in the corner.
Is there a way I can X out the needless window without it taking the people I'm talking to with it?
EDIT: After playing around with the window a bit, I found that going to Tools -> Options -> Preferences reveals a few checked and unchecked boxes. One such unchecked box said 'Allow Windows Messenger to run in the background.'
I checked it. And guess what?
It works now. I are jeenyus.
