As the sands raged back and forth, Ukkiki knew he was at a bad disadvantage. So, with all the energy he could he furiously dug into the ground. Phanpy heard the sounds of pawing at land, and tried to offset this, by forcing larger pebbles and stones to trap Ukikki. They did, in a more unique way.

Ukkiki made it into the hole, and the rocks covered the top.

Sitting there, waiting out the storm, Ukkiki relaxed, taking some time to Slack off from this battle. Phanpy unknowing about his enemy healing, walked around the mound, before standing on top of it, to look down into it. Stupid Monkey was just sitting there! He moved off the top of the mound, just waiting.

Getting a boost in energy, Ukkiki looked back up toward the now darkened sky. Stupid elephant. He dug back up as fast as he went down the hole, only to slam into the Rock Tomb. That hurt him, but he still burrowed free--and was duly smacked by the first Sandstorm, since it didn't end!

Pissed that he still got sand in his eyes, he wasn't appreciative when the Second Sandstorm began, raging around and once again making it harder to see. It was crazily intense for a moment..

Ukkiki coughed again, due to both the poison and the higher rate of sand.
