Round 88

Charizard was reeling in pain. Blood flowed over its left eye, but that was wiped away in spite of the pain. Making itself as menacing as possible, the fire lizard welcoming the oncoming Rawk with open arms-and a sneer that seemed convincingly calm.

Hawk, knowing that opponent was about to get Rawwwked, cartwheeled over to the left edge of the bridge, before jumping up and speeding down with a jackal Kick. Rawk cried a victory cheer as Charizard was hit...

by nothing. Rawk went bounding back the energy of his attack sending him back to his starting point. Disgusted at that, he turned to stare at Charizard, to see Charizard making such an angry..constipated Face... that it really looked Scary! Standing back on his two feet, Rawk scratched his head, unsure what the hell to do next..

Feeling a bit cautious, Rawk tentatively darted in for another Edgy move. This time, it was for a horizontal series of kicks with his knees, ala Muay Thai. Charizard was hard pressed for time, even with the decrease in speed Rawk was utilizing. However, Rawk was able to follow Charizard throughout his clone making process, destroying the clones as fast as Charizard made them. When both Pokemon stopped moving, Rawk looked up to note that there were only two Charizards on the field.

The OP bellowed. Two was better than one.

Use Mirror Move to duplicate that Swords Dance and gain some extra power. From there, use Sky Uppercut with a twist: Grab his throat and squeeze with both claws. Let's see how well he blasts fire at you when his fire-breathing tube is sealed. Finally, drag him back down to Earth and pummel him with a Rock Tomb.

Round 89

Lopsided gaze was noticed as Rawk leaned back and forth, anticipating both Charizards to run at him. However, Charizard stayed put, flapping his wings rhythmically. Just like that, they began to fly, but instead of swooping at him, Charizard merely floated in the air, wings Dancing along the air currents. The wind that soon reached Blaziken began to rise in power and girth, until it felt like a gale-force was holding him back. Bellowing from his heart, Charizard roared, and increased the rapidity of his wing-flapping, until it looked like his wings were literally Slashing the Air.

Meanwhile, Rawk went back to his roots, flapping his arms and walking around like a chicken. (Haha that's funny). It may look like a elaborate taunt, but I'm pretty sure that just was a Mirror Move of Char's Swords Dance. However, a hefty sampling of sharp winds cut him back a few feet.

Unexpecting that pain, Rawk quickly tried to make up for it. The agile fighter dashed across the distance between him and Charizard, and reached his launch point. Charizard however, began to pike, obviously going for a all-out blast again. Rawk lunged skyward, but instead of Uppercutting the Sky, he had his claws out. Charizard, diving head first, engulfed himself in a swath of Burning rage, neck outstretched.

It made for an easy target, as Rawk reached the descending flier and grabbed hold. Charizard instantly...disappeared! Cursing his luck, Hawk spiraled upward still, and was struck from below by Charizard's immense Fireball of death. Raising his hands to block, Rawk was lost in the power of that Blast.

Landing back on the ground, Charizard looked up, seeing his massive blast still fly upward, possibly going to worlds unknown. Thinking the battle was done for he, turned toward his trainer, and pounded his chest, obviously pleased.

Though...I don't think you s-O SNAP!!

:L dove clear of Charizard, as the massive reptilian looked back toward the sky. A sixth sense told him to take a look upward. Staring at the sky, he noticed a slew of rocks falling from the air, at the will of that crazy ass fighter. Immediately, he dove for safety, but thee Rocks were falling in a wide arc, and his wings were clipped, forcing Charizard to kneel. Diving straight for his target, Rawk screeched, and slammed into the tuckered out Charizard. The both of them disappeared into the ensuing rubble both from above and below, as the bridge broke under the shock of the impact.::

Well, that was unexpected. Rawk rolling free of the blast and plummeting down to the ground. Rock Tomb too. But, I dun think either one of them is gonna get up from that.....

Oh no....there goes Rawk.

::Rawk grabs Charizard's swollen body, and pulls it free of the rubble. The flame still burned bright, which is what he was checking. Hoisting the beast up, Rawk carried and laid out the fighter in front of UC, before walking back to Blade.

He did kick dirt in Char's face though, as he walked away.::

Round 90

An exasperated Rawk welcomed the scene change, as it gave him a platform to stand on. UC's newest release was a Haunter, strikingly enough. The ghost proved to be a merciless, evil destructive force who had NO consideration for the weakened Blaziken. Instantly, those detached hands grabbed at Rawk's spirit, even as Rawk quickly began molding his life force to try and create a Substitute with as little energy as possible.

By the time the Substitute was created, Rawk was nearly out,. But he felt no damage from the hands, which had since flew away, back to Haunter. Haunter sneered in glee however, she already got what she wanted.

Plus the stage was all goofy!! When was the door gonna open and they had to do stupid tasks!!!

With the last (and I do mean last) swath of energy he could muster from his tired fingertips, Rawk sent a small, I mean piddly small Will~o~Wisp over at Haunter. Haunter was a bit peeved at the fact she was forced to use a Protect....for that small piece of crap.

Lying on his back, Rawk took time to relax. No way he was moving, he just beat a Charizard....just like in the Anime!! But his attention was roused when a small shape went flying over his head. His head turned, to notice that half his Substitute was lying above him now, the other half blown to smithereens.

Haunter stayed put, knowing the tired Pokemon wouldn't be going anywhere unless she made him move.

Lying still, Rawk had enough gusto to sit up. Using his arms to support his upper body, the fighter wearily looked across the field. The purplish ghoul was floating there, charging up a ball of spiritual energy that he wasn't going to be able to evade.

Haunter laughed, and threw a curveball pitch, watching as the Shadowball swung hard left, veered right and smacked Rawk straight away in the chest.

::The female Scizor landed without a hint of fuss. She had the weight of her whole team on her shoulders now. Preparing for whatever that Haunter threw at her, she clamped her pincers together, and assumed her fighting stance.

Haunter sneered at his opponent. The Bug/Steel type wouldn't be as easy to fell as he would have liked. Still, this would make for an interesting battle. He cackled manically in the echoing space of the world above worlds-where only the best are allowed.::

Haunter doesn't waste any time, and Bugaboom sees this, as a flaming fist comes flying in from the right side. She barely avoids it, using her back stepping as a way to modulate her frequency, creating clones in front of her. In all, 5 of her stood at the ready.

Her eyes squinted. Above all else, that move must not be allowed to strike her form.

Haunter didn't like the increase of odds, and tried his luck in a different way. Closing his freakishly large mouth for once, Haunter began to build in size. Unafraid of what this ghost had to deliver, Bugaboom dashed forward, keeping her body pressed low to the ground

Haunter began wafting back, unsure of what clone to shoot for. Taking a chance, he shot at the one coming up dead center. It seemed to fizzle...and his Toxic landed with a plop on the ground. The Scizor Squad struck simultaneously, supplying a myraid of Night Slashes across his half-frame.

Haunter flipped backwards, obviously pained by that move.

Bug: -7E ==///== Haunter: -4E/-13H

Pained, but not dead (cuz he's a ghost!), Haunter rose back up and tried a different idea. So he had four targets. Wiggling his fingers akin to a magician waving a wand, a small trail of Wisping fire hung from his claws. He raised both hands up, as if stringing the tinsel like firewire up on a doorframe.

Bugaboom didn't attempt to cover the aerial distance. Instead, she and her squad performed a backflip, sending a Slash of Air up at Haunter. Haunter was struck by the blast, and dropped his firewire! The flames dwindled down upon the crew, but Bugaboom moved quickly, as did her cohorts. The Will~o~Wisp struck another clone, causing to shriek and fade.

Bugaboom seems pretty confident this matchup, as Haunter is the first to feel the distress of pain.

Round 93

Wasting not an ounce of her momentum, Bugaboom, dashes across the everchanging sky, creating a field of light around her form. Her Safety from any unseen danger was gone, but so was her clone.

Haunter assured this by releasing a Dark wave of energy from his posterior. Watching it Pulse from the origin point, Bugaboom saw the black, inky power-and surged right through it. So what if her clone was gone, she was moving in close to strike Haunter down.

As Bugaboom moved in for her nasty attack, Haunter gleaned, and sent his hands out to do his dirty work. Flames erupted from the disjointed fists, and they went about trying to punch Bugaboom.

Trying was the operative word. Spotting the two incoming bogie's, Bugaboom flapped her insectizoid wings harder, and burst forth with extra speed. The hands did not relent, and chased after her, diving at her left and right. She criss crossed her pattern, even backflipping at one point to avoid a double fisted slam by the enigmatic Fists. Her Agility was astounding. One fist flew from the left and tried for a wide arc jab to her face. She ducked as low to the ground as she could and used her pincers as pivots to change direction and have the fists collide with each other in mid-flight.

Haunter was getting tired of missing, and so began to recall his hands. The only problem was, Bugaboom was dashing in faster than his fists were able to recoil back to him!

Haunter screamed out in fear as Bugaboom seemed to break a barrier of some sort. His hands barely caught up to her, only for her left pincer to clamp on the both of them. As a glint of light shot from Haunter's eyes, Bomm's right pincer shot upward. With the angle of her trajectory and speed, she wound up uppercutting and Slashing Haunter at the same time. Haunter bounced backwards, and received his hands in the form of a doubleslap to the face, courtesy of Bugaboom.

The crimson streak hovered in place, watching as Haunter..melted into the ground. She landed next to him, and poked his head, wondering why he was trying to hide.

Haunter didn't like this. His Confuse Ray seemed to have failed.

Round 94

Bugaboom, feeling ever so safe, relaxed her mind and spirit for a moment. The existential moment was felt by the whole arena. The sky turned to a melancholy shade of blue-with a pinpoint of light high and far away. Haunter seemed to most affected by this silence, as it seemed to ignite his spirit with fury.

The mitts roared anew with flame, and without any contestation, were flung out from Haunters sides. Bugaboom opened her eyes, feeling the warmth of her Guard be elevated upon her once again. The warmth soon turned to a blazing heat, as she screamed in agony.

Falling to the ground, she clutched her midsection, as it was slammed into by the Fiery fists of Haunter.

Feeling her confidence starting to ebb, Haunter slid in, ready to deliver a second heavy fisted combo of flame down Bugabooms throat. The Scyther took a chance, and jumped forward, sending all her heightened speed into a ferocious Iron Headbutt to slam Haunter back. It worked, and Haunter floated upward for a few revolutions.

Regaining control of his flight, Haunter then began a maniacal cackle that welcomed the sun and the evermoving sky back to the stage. A burst of yellow and white was all that was visible, as Haunters flaming hands raised upward, ushering in the renewed colorful palate of this stage. However, Bugaboom would not stand to enjoy such colors. No she was Punched by both hands as they shot skywards, leaving her a highly warped mess.

Bug: -7E/-30H +2 Spd ==///== Haunter: -6E/-9H

Feeling the effects of heat very profoundly, Bugaboom shook off any despair she had, and dove for Haunter once more. Seeing as his prey might not survive another hit from the flaming fists, he held back.

Maybe he shouldn't have. A dangerous Slash was released from her pincers, causing Haunter to flip back again. Having quite enough of that, Haunter held both hands out, palms facing Bugaboom. She quickly put her own pincers to block, but they only acted as conduits, for the Thunderbolt to surge through her.

Electrocuted thoroughly, she fell to the stage floor, smoldering. Haunter cackled, and began to float down, feeling pretty good.

Bugaboom, use the loudest, sharpest Bug Buzz you can manage to drown out Perish Song. If you can't hear it, you can't be hurt by it. Then, use a combo of Protect and Roost to block Destiny Bond and gain some HP so you can ward off that Explosion.

Round 95

A chilling round this would be, as Haunter ballooned up and began to vocalize the end of an era. His Song was so harsh to the ears-so unbearable, I feel like I'm gonna Perish if he dosent shut up.

But miraculously...he does. A incessant buzzing begins from Boom-and it grows, as Bugaboom glows with radiant lime green energy. The vibrations from her wings flapping as hard as possible, her pincers ratting from the subsonic shaking shes undergoing. Bugaboom hastily threw up a shield of energy to Protect herself as she sat down-collectively Roosting to help her self through the next series of events..

As the sky darkened, Haunter's spirit did as well. It was time to leave this world. Expanding until his ethereal body could no more, he floated right next to Bugaboom, whom seen unafraid of the fate that may come anyway. She gave it her all, and steel covered eyes glared at the ghost as he spun in a loop around her, acting like a Hot Potato. To get the show on the road, Boom quickly shot a jab to the left of Haunter.

Haunter smiled-and as the sky gave us a hint of light at the horizon-Haunters' Explosion ushered in the rising of a new day. Boom stood her ground, as the massive forces from being at Ground Zero tore at her hide-ripples of energy thrusting her farther and farther back.

Round 96

A stage change, after all that, brings some hope to Bugaboom as she nestles down, enjoying the scenery of the Green Hill Zone. A save post rises up in front of her, but she doesn't mind its presence. However, she does mind the presence of a Lairon that just appeared on the other side of the stage.

The little rocky thing releases a Shockwave of Energy, that hits Bugaboom while shes down. Boom stays put, obviously pained by that...but doesn't fall over yet!

Staring as the Lairon trotted down the halfpipe, Boom felt a sensation through her body. Wings buzzed in unison once more, and she took off from her seated position down the hill. Laron wasn't ready for the dramatic increase in speed, and was stunned as she flipped over him at the last possible second. Turning around to see where she landed only gave Lairon a headache, as she slammed him with a heavy dual-pincer Brick Break to the face!

He flew up...and then he crashed, creating a dirt groove behind him. Obviously hurt by that, Lairon got back up, wobbly. Shaking his head clear of the butterflies, he stomped around in a furious rage.

The ground began to shudder and shake, and since Bug was down in the halfpipe, the ground began to give way.She stabbed her pincers into the ground and climbed, toward the left side, as two pieces of the ground fell away. There she hung, barely alive from that...

Bug: -9E/-10H ==///== Lairon: -9E/-28H

Almost as if by some sudden cue..Bugaboom released her hold onto the ground, and fell into the abyss. Before she fell too far, a red beam called her back-albeit reluctantly. Blade held up that Pokeball, but had no more to follow up with.

I dun wanna see you two EVER AGAIN! ::Cries and runs away.:: If this is it, I do want to say congratulations to you both. I've truly learned a hell of alot from this solitary reffing. I promise that after this battle (and all current ones) that my reffing techniques will be forever tweaked and modified to better suit the ASB community-and that well, I hope to be as available as I am now in the future for all your reffing needs.
