Beside Myself

Elite Trainer
Re: +.{ His Majesty's Dragons }.+ (sign ups)
Name: Chiharu
Breed: Sui-ryu
Appearance: About 45 ft. long, with a 70 ft. wingspan. Fully grown. She has never been weighed, but seems lightweight. She is thin and neat and streamlined, and looks about as delicate as a porcelain teacup, only much larger. In coloration, she is somewhere between blue and purple, though closer to blue than purple (Wiki says this colour is called Han Blue); the wing-web is similarly hued, with dark, almost-black spines and horns. There is an electric-blue stripe running from under her snout all the way to the end of her tail, but otherwise she has no markings. The snout and feet are a darker blue than the rest of her body; the eyes are large, and coloured sepia. Her two thin, elongated horns are blunt, her head is deer-like in its overall bearing, and her scales, when the sun hits them, are iridescent.
Personality: Snarky, and to all but Ianto, duplicitous. Is always on her guard to people and dragons she does not know well. Prefers to minimise violence in combat, not due to any pacifist notions, but because it would be terribly inconvenient and lead to unnecessary physical exertion. Thinks the wars are a waste of time and are just humans' ways of keeping themselves occupied, but finds said wars amusing nonetheless. Also, do beware - she keeps grudges. Like most oriental dragons, she does not consider Ianto a rider but instead a partner-in-crime (or fine, companion). Having spent much time among smugglers and merchants, her knowledge of the value of goods is encyclopedic.
Languages: Japanese, Okinawan, Dutch, broken English (Engrish, ha!), ribald pirate songs in French, Prussian and Italian.
Talent/Ability: Being a fire hydrant Swallowing and regurgitating water. Thinking brain. Is also pretty agile, although not quite on par with the dragons that were especially bred for their agility.
Other: Notes on the languages - Japanese and Okinawan self-explanatory; Dutch from the traders; Engrish and the ribald pirate songs from Ianto. She has acquired a taste for rats, those having been her first food, though now it would probably take fifty or more for what she would consider an appetizer. Otherwise, her preferences lie mostly to the fishy side of the meat spectrum.
We probably won't have these two debut in the RPG proper till it's due time. Originally we were just planning to boat about till the new riders were all trained and ready to spring into war, and then bump into them somehow, so the people from both sides trying to buy them over ide IS a nice touch ^^;;
