Naomi Paine ~ Dazed and Confused...Still

It wasn't long before I found myself bouncing in my seat like a kid on a field trip. Why can't I sit still? It's not like I had sugar for breakfast! I wasn't the only one doing it so I didn't look so out of place.

The bus went down the unpaved road until it stopped at one of those vine-covered brick buildings that people see in the countryside. Like a boarding school or something. There the Pokemon theme was taken to an unbelievable level. Statues of the fully evolved, first-generation Pokemon stared at the intimidated students as we walked past them.

That was nothing compared to the lifesize lifelike Pokemon that were romping around playfully. A Flareon ran with an Umbreon, two of Eevee's evolutions that I trained myself in the games. They were bigger than I thought. "Maybe they're robots," I told myself.

The inside of the mansion was beautiful. Students wearing boarding school uniforms walked around, not sparing us a second look. "Reminds me of the Pokemon Tech episode in the anime," I told myself a little too loudly. The kids around me gave me looks, although one of them looked like they knew what I was talking about.

We were greeted by what could only be the stereotypical friendly professor that showed up in every generation of Pokemon games. Funny that he was the thing that blew every doubt of mine out the window. I really got sucked into the Pokemon world, and it's exactly like the games!

Professor Noah, as he called himself, gave us all some name tags to stick on ourselves and our bags. As I looked through my bag, I felt something small and metal. It was a pokeball, a real pokeball. "Wait, I'm getting a real Pokemon?" I asked out loud.

"Why do you think you're here?" a kid asked me harshly.

I huffed and followed the group. "Didn't have to get an attitude."
