The only reason I don't have as much points as the "third place team" is because two of five weeks I have started injured quarterbacks. Not to mention I made the mistake of starting Wes Welker ><

im gonna go 1-5 this week, but im pretty sure my lineup will be healthy and ready to go week 7 and 8 for wins respectively against #1 and 2 in the league. watch out boys.

If Kevin Curtis ever comes back and Braylon Edwards stops being a useless fuck, my receivers will be incredibly solid now. That and Ryan Grant seems to be breaking out of his slump, doesn't matter because I'll probably be starting Fargas this week.

Either way, I've shored up my weakest positions, so hopefully this whole 2-3 thing won't last.

My Indianapolis defense scored a whopping 23 points this week on 3 points allowed, 4 sacks, 3 picks, and 3 fumble recoveries. Which is awesome since, y'know, I started the Bears.

You've caught a break this week, Tony... can you capitalize?

Historically speaking, all signs point to

I must admit, Andre Johnson's production was promising, and Ronnie threw in a TD run for me too; MJD and Romo have me concerned... Kinda fun having QBs face off, though.

I think it all comes down to how well my boy Darren Sproles produces against New England. If you think it's annoying when another RB steals your guy's TDs, just imagine how it'd feel when that guy's playing for the other team.

Yeah, I'm waiting for LT to say, "Oh, I don't feel like playing football today... and I kneecapped Gates with a crowbar on my way over here."

Nice pic, by the way. Wish I was as confident as you are... it'd be nice if I could pull a sneaky little defensive switch, but no.

Barber, Bush, Elam with 19 points, Philly DEF...

And on my end, of course I slant toward the hot Redskins players up against the consensus worst team in the league and... They LOSE the game and don't produce fantasy crap? Well, Portis got two TDs. Too bad he's about the only Redskin I DON'T have.

Meanwhile, mr_pikachu will finally pass me up at the league's top scorer, if only slightly. (Assuming Burress doesn't simultaneously beast while LT/Gates bust.) We're still going to be 75+ points over the third top-scorer. He's probably going to be 6-0... while I'm 3-3.

I might as well be playing Pokémon with this kind of horrendous luck. Also ARGH DALLAS!!!!!!!!!!!

    Yeah seriously Bri, take that!
You coulda thrown me a bone here, but noooooo, you just had to go for glory, didn't you? Now I'm smack dab in the dredges of 2-4 - and I hope you don't win a single Romo-less game. NOT ONE!
Not yet as bad as it got for me last year, but still, not looking pretty, particularly with my pride and joy Mr. Warner on a bye next week. Yuck.

See, the beauty of this is that I would've beaten five of the other teams in the league this week... without starting a QB.

Anyone know what happened to Engram this week? Did he not play?

No, it was more because of Charlie Frye. Third-string QBs rarely produce well.

    I quote:

Engram, who was blanketed most of the day, was targeted four times. Frye only completed three passes to his wide receivers. Frye might start again this week because Matt Hasselbeck and Seneca Wallace are still injured. That’s bad news for Engram.

And starting QB's do so much better *glares at Favre*

And whats going on with TO? I heard he had a death in the family but hes really underperforming. Less than 5 points from the last 2 games?
And Holt. Less than 16 points all season and 10 of those in the first 2 games.....all i hear about him lately is how much complaining hes doing about the offense.

TO... kind of isn't getting the ball. They've been throwing to other receivers for awhile. Holt's problems, on the other hand, are coming up because he plays for the Rams.

I have to say, though, this is kind of cool. We're six weeks into the season and everyone is within one game of a playoff spot. I don't think that ever happened when we had eight teams, yet now we have ten... awesome.

Okay, I need Cutler to score no more than around... ten points. Against New England. The most likely scenario that would result in that is him getting hit by a bus.

    ...

How much does it cost to rent a bus, now?

EDIT: Aw, hell. I didn't catch Braylon Edwards' two-point conversion... this means I need to hold Cutler to 8.54.

Does anyone have a bus I can borrow? I'll wash it when I'm done. Promise!

    EDIT2: ...

    ...

    ...

You know what I love? Interceptions.

For the first time in quite awhile, we have a clear top 4... everyone with a 4-3 record or better gets to defend a potential championship playoff spot. This also means that through the first half, no one is further than two games out. It's gonna be an all-out war over the next seven weeks.

As for myself, as long as I'm above .500 for the second half, I'll be in. (Either the Myst or Roll are bound to lose a game at some point, since they play each other in week 9. They'll also both have to face the Thunder.)

Of course, this week my top WR, K, and DEF are on byes. Add Romo's injury to that, and I'm starting a team full of backups. Can ACE take advantage of the prime opportunity, or will this be as comical as last week?

EDIT: The kicker thing I mentioned? Yeah, you can probably forget about that one.

EDIT2: Bye weeks argh... I've made almost as many moves this week as I have in the first seven weeks of the season.

Yet I'm still 7th in terms of the number of moves made. 39 by rawr... my God.

Argh. After all the backup switches I made, I'm pretty sure my receivers have cost me this week. They're barely over six points combined, and all I have left is a fourth-quarter Ward.

...Not that I can entirely blame Ward for his ineptitude. Roethlisberger's in the midst of a four sack, three interception game. He's pretty much spent the last three hours throwing the ball off Giant helmets and then handing it to Moore (who, by the way, has a TD against me).

With a deficit of 7.32, I pretty much need a TD for Ward (3:07 remaining and Pitt down 7 now) and a meltdown by Scaife tomorrow.

Best moment of PIT-NYG: the long snapper chucking the ball over the punter's head and through the back of the end zone for a game-tying safety. Well done.

    EDIT: Four picks. Thanks, Ben.

You don't get much credit for taking advantage of multiple byes and an injury. My normal WR/DEF combination probably would have bridged the gap here.

My top WR/RB both have been out for the last 4-5 weeks and Parker is still out. We all have byes, I just make better pickups.
If you still want to trade Gerrard for D Jackson, just send it again. Neither are useful, now with Boldin probably back for good, I don't need him.

And ACE, your TE was projected to score about 1.5. I didn't really consider Bo a threat to do anything.

This is why you never draft receivers early. Says me whose stupid autopick drafted Braylon in round 2.

Anyway, once again I'm projected to win by 10 points this week, which inevitably means that everybody on my team will suck and I'll get my ass kicked. If only Yahoo's projected point totals would be correct, I'd be 6-2 right now instead of 3-5 >.<

Hmm. I'm down 16 points with one man playing and Ward remaining - none of my players have hit double digits, including Garrard (3.87) - while the Thunder still has Eli, Jacobs, Folk, and Welker.

I don't know about you, but this isn't how I pictured week 9.

EDIT: Think I can count on Hines Ward scoring 3 TDs?

...Yeah, I didn't think so, either. This is why I don't like playing without a QB.
