Rate My Crystal Team plus a few more things...

Hey guys! Right now, I'm playing Crystal and I want a few advices if available.

OK, here's my current team:

Typhlosion (lv 57)
Flame Wheel
Swift
Iron Tail
Earthquake

Dragonair (lv 35)
Dragon Rage
Thunder Wave
Twister
Extreme Speed

Espeon (lv 37)
Psybeam
Quick Attack
Sand-Attack
Bite

Hitmonchan (lv 31)
Tackle
Thunder Punch
Ice Punch
Fire Punch

I plan to get the team of: Typlosion, Espeon, Dragonite, Hitmonchan, Lapras and Electabuzz, however, I have to go through Elite Four first, so I have to spend a lot of hours for training (which gets boring when you fight the same pokemon, especially self-destruct gravelers on victory road). Plus I have two wait 'till Friday in order to get Lapras.

I really get tired of waiting for trainer calls, and I can't find any other trainer to battle right now(before facing the elite four). The only thing on my mind right now is training with the elite four, but that could lower the happiness of the pokemons, since I will probably fail with my current team.

The point is: what do you recommend for movesets on my current/future pokemon and do you have any method to "hurry-up the training on Crystal"?

BTW, I recently noticed my weakness against rock for my future team.

Thoughts/advices/suggestions?

EDIT: BTW, I have a shiny Caterpie, but although I know that in GSC, shinies have better stats than normal pokemon, I can't find a way to add it to my team as a Butterfree. Do you have any shinies in a GSC game you have?

Okay then.

Don't worry too much about not finding a place for Butterfree. Shiny pokémon are above average, but individual non-shinies have the potential to be even better.

Have you tried training against the wild pokémon in Route 26? You could go back and forth between there and Victory Road to mix things up...and make sure you've got Cooltrainers Beth, Gaven and Reena and Bird Keeper José on your Pokégear Phone so that, when they eventually call, you can go over and trash them too. They're all on Routes 26 and 27. José's also good to have because he'll occasionally give you a Star Piece, which you can use to fund the Hyper Potions, Full Heals, Full Restores and Revives that'll get you through the Elite Four. You can increase the rate at which these four trainers call you by deleting everyone else except your mom, Prof. Elm and Bill.

Get some elemental attacks on poor Dragonair or something. Keep in mind that elemental punches run off Hitmonchan's ridiculously poor Special Attack, although it doesn't learn very much anyway. Mach Punch should serve you well enough, assuming you're not going to breed for Hi Jump Kick, and look to use Mega Punch or Return over one of the elemental punches for a stronger neutral attack. Everything else is fine enough.
