“Yea,” Oliver replied. “Makes you feel lonely.”
“Oh I don’t know about that,” said the sultry officer, as she took her cap off and swept her glossy hair from her face. “Sometimes it’s nice to feel independent.”
“Oh, yea,” Oliver spluttered. “Independent is
great. But in the long term, on such a…dangerous patch like this, it really revives that…mating instinct.”
“What?” Denise muttered, barely paying any attention.
