The Six Families

We have lived among you since the beginning of humanity. We have been your cat, your dog, the bird that craps on your shoulder, the horse running in the field that you drive past, the mouse that scampers across your floor in the middle of the night. We are ‘Twin Species’, Humans gifted with the ability to become the animal of the species family they were born into. We hide among you, living lives and keeping secrets in ways that you can never imagine.

The families we have been born into are some of the most powerful in the world, we are like the mafia except with claws and fur. And our families have one rule: Never, Ever, Expose ourselves to humans.

If we do, the human who finds out, he or she doesn’t get their mind wiped, they do not get a chance to make a empty promise to keep our secret, we find them, and we Kill Them

Out of all of the things the six families control, they only actually control very few schools. And of those they are scattered across the planet. One of those few schools is North County High. The school you currently attend, which you knowingly or unknowingly know is controlled by the five families, right down to the teachers.

For a Twin Species this is a very important time in your life, during your teenage years you spend life in the human world, learning how to walk among them as you deal with your awakening animal side that you become aware of at puberty. After graduation from North County High you will spend the next five years of your life living as a animal, completely giving up your human life for those five years.

But for now you attend High School, a experience that normally would be torturous, made even worse by the fact you now have to deal with the ever present animal side, and all the draw backs and problems that brings with it. Although the teachers there know of your lineage and will even help you deal with it. You share classes with humans as well who can never learn of your secret.

To make matters worse the families hate each other, the felines war with the canines, the avians with the rodents, the equines with the insects. Give you a whole set of bullies before you even step foot inside of the building!

But enemies, friends, secrets, and over baring parents are all part of High School. So welcome to North County High

As mentioned above there are Six Families of Species you can be a part of if you choose to be a Twin Breed.

Felines: Covering everything from the normal House Cat to a powerful Lion

Canines: Covering everything from a normal trained Dog, to a powerful wolf.

Equines: Covering everything from a Horse, to Cows, Sheep, Donkeys, anything with hooves.

Avians: Everything type of flying bird.

Insects: Creepy Crawly insects from Spiders to Lady Bugs.

Rodent: Mice, Rats and Squirrels

Twin Breeds are given three forms that they can switch from based on their emotional state.

Human: Of course your human form, it is completely indistinguishable from any other human except for possible hints of your nature.

Furry Form: Named after the Fetish known as “Furries”, this is brought about by a quick shock, an emotional kiss, or a quick burst of anger at some one. This form can contain anything from just a small addition of a tail or wings, to full blown fur and a half way merger with your other half.

Animal: The complete animal form, completely indistinguishable from any other animal of the same breed.

Of course you can also be a normal everyday human, completely oblivious to the secrets of your classmates.

Appearance Human: She is know as the beauty of North County High, her wild mane like hair dips below her shoulders, the almost orange colored hair that she almost never brushes, adding a absolutely wild like beauty to her. She has piercing hazel eyes, which have intimidated even the strongest man at the school. Her face and body are almost with out blemish, having curves of a adult woman and firm C-Cup breasts.

She is usually wearing a red leotard, spending most of her time in the gym training for the school gymnastics team. When she actually attends classes she wears the typical school uniform of her old school of a button down white blouse and blue skirt.
Appearance Furry: Same appearance with the addition of a Tiger tail and ears.
History: Kathy had a harder time adapting to her heritage than usual children. Leaving her school and friends to attend the new High School, and then the sudden shock of the emergence of her Tiger side scarred the girl. What was once a shy, friendly, and smiling child, turned into a quiet, focused, competitive teenage girl almost over night.
Personality: She is also known as the beast of North County High, as leader of the Gymnastic’s team she has employed almost a pack like mentality. She will not tolerate weakness or failure. She does not like to talk much and is used to having things done her way. Challenging her usually is rewarded with a icy glare.
Other: No one has cracked her shell and seen her smile since the Tiger emerged when she was 13. She has never dated or even kissed a boy and tends to focus on training her body.

Appearance: A good looking fourteen year old boy, with only a couple small pimples caused from the start of puberty. Brown spiky hair and blue eyes, a very beautiful face aside from blemishes. Pale skin and long tall body, around 5'11. Usually wers somthing orange or yellow with dark blue jeans and black basketball shoes. Wears hand-me down clothes, but makes up for it in his beautifying skills. (wow that sounded girly...dont take it that way)

Appearance Furry: Feathers grow from arms and lower back to form small wings and a tail. Eyes turn from blue to yellow and the pupils turn to those of a flacons. Hair grows a little longer and ets backwards an then downwards to make it look like plumes.

History: He grew up going to public schools, untilhe found his falcon side and intrigues him to go see a veterinarean. He showed him his skill, and the Vet. knew of the high school, and was immediatley sent there. Now he fits in perfectly with all the other twin species and has joined the track and field team.
Personality: A little weird but not afraid to be himself. This usually attracts the girls because he shows his true colors and is not afraid of what people think. Very quick and agile about everything, even his schoolwork.
Other: Plays the Flute and is on the schools Track and Field team

Breed: Wolfdog
Appearance: 5'9 140lbs, shes taller than most girls her age. Has thick black hair down to her shoulders, layered cut, and with the tips of her hair dyed silver. Has a cute, elfish face (half japanese) and very pale skin. Bright green eyes. Usually wears black or dark blue tanktops with jeans, or in her more formal wear she likes black leather miniskirts and tube tops, but with either she wears her favorite black leather boots.
Furry Appearance: About the same only her ears grow into wolf ears and she grows a tail, the tail has a white tip at the end to match her dyed hair. her canines also become more pronounced (duh lol).
History: She was 14 when the changes first happened, she had a crush on a boy and it was during the hurricane of emotions that a first date brings that the changes happened. She quickly ran to the bathroom of the movie theater, unseen by anyone there, but it was too late for her boyfriend, because he had felt her ears as his arm went around her. A day later he "died of a rare disease". It was then that she was sent to this high school. At first she became very withdrawn, and was semi "emo" as they call it because she really liked the boy a lot and knew instinctively what had really happened to him, but over time she regained some of the happy-go-lucky behavior that she usually had. Still, she finds it hard to make friends because she is afraid of losing people.
Personality: Being of wolfdog descent, she has the carefree nature of a dog warring inside her with the intense survivability of the wolf. She is willing, even eager to make friends, but half of her says there is no point, because they will eventually die and leave her alone. Wanting to let loose and have fun but afraid to at the same time, she has it harder than most Twin species, because not only is she not quite human and not quite animal, but her animal form is also a mixed breed. But most of the time she is optimistic and more cheerful than her clothing style would indicate.
Other: Loves dog treats and raw meat, also she plays violin in the school orchestra.

Appearance: 6'0", straight black hair in a medium-length haircut. His big brown eyes are a always-present trait of his. He wears light blue jeans to hide his unusually long legs, and various T-shirts that are always very wrinkled. In his Furry form, his ears elongate into rabbit's ears, a short tail appears, and his front teeth transform into buck teeth.
History: His half-Japanese heritage is kept secret, only present in his name. Preferring to stay in the background, his talents in track and field are also kept secret. But rumors fly around about him being a kickboxing master (which are false although he's well trained). He also tries to stay away from the other Half Breeds, especially those from the Feline family.
Personality: Somewhat jumpy and cowardly, preferring to run away instead of fight. Although he also knows how to fight. He's of average intelligence but likes to play stupid, even purposely staying behind in his schoolwork. Also likes to bring out the humor in situations to lighten the mood. Is not only afraid of his Half Breed enemies, but also females in general.

Breed: Fox
Appearance: Standing about 5'4", Amelia has been gifted with a shapely body and a large bust. Her hair, which everyone assumes is a very good dye and bleach job, is red, with white tips, as well as green eyes on a face with sharp, but pretty features. She normally wears tight jeans and a T-shirt, in order to better show off her figure.
In furry form, she sprouts fur all over, her ears shift to the top of her head, becoming fox ears, and she gains a tail and a muzzle on her face.
History: Amelia, and her parents, are the black sheep of the family, refusing to have anything to do with the family's petty hatreds, and focusing more on self profit. As such, Amelia had a non-standard upbringing, emphasizing self-reliance and profit.
Notably, she has done well enough in school to skip a grade, and has, during her time there, built up a reputation as a bit of a schemer, one who can be trusted to the letter of the deal, if not to the spirit.
Personality:First and foremost, Amelia looks out for numero uno, herself. She has peers, and acquaintances, even allies, but she doesn't make friends. On a certain level, she is a tad lonely, but it's buried under layers of greed, flirtatiousness, and personal drive, and rarely bothers her.

Breed: Lion
Appearance Human: He's very short for his age, looking two to three years younger than he should be, his body is very frail and doesn't have much fat on it, and he looks like he spends most of his time in doors. He wears glasses, and has very short blond hair. He wears typical blue jeans, and a button up plaid short.
Appearance Furry: Same appearance, but with very long blond hair, a Lion Tail, and Lion Ears, and no longer needs his glasses.
History: He was born to two very young Twin Species parents, who hid the pregnancy from the Feline Family. He was born almost a month early, and was incredibly weak and frail, the parents did not believe he would live so he was deposited at a hospital. He did survive and eventually was adopted by a loving family. He grew up completely unaware of his heritage, and was bullied constantly. Despite that, he has a incredibly bright mind and was able to leap frog several grades to the point that he is scheduled to graduate High School before he turns 16.
Other: Didn't know until recently he was a Twin Species when he experienced his first change.
