stupid question.. maybe not...Uproar+rest...

ok im too lazy to try this out but rest works like this:
first the pokemon recovers hp and status codition
next falls asleep

so uproar would cancel the sleeping part, woudlnt it? sorry if this has been asked b4 or if this just too stupid to answer hehe well anyway im looking for a move set for my shiny exploud.. right now i have:

Exploud
male @chesto berry
perso. neutral

• Rest
• Roar
• Extrasensory/Shadowball
• Over Heat

roar to use with spiking glalie... extrasensory against fighting.... oh and over heat... yeah i wanted to do sumthing different here cus i would use shadow ball next

u cant use rest when uproar is in effect.

but wat about if u had:
-rest
-sleep talk
-uproar

could it wake one turn early?
is there a poke who can learn this combo?

Uproar prevents sleeping, if you can't go to sleep, you can't use rest.

That's assuming you Sleep Talk Uproar, which is only a 33% chance. Plus it's three moves and two turns(assuming you Sleep Talk Uproar the first turn) to recover health and rid your pokemon of status effects. Remember Uproar lasts 2-5 turns, meaning you can't rest again for a while. Exploud can get those moves, but that would be such a waste.

There's been a lot of threads like this about the insomniac ability.

It's really fairly simple: the move is called "rest". That means that the act of sleeping IS what heals you. If you can't sleep, nothing happens.

Yes, but the problem is, both Vigaroth and the Shuppet family CAN learn Rest.

I'm not dumb enough to waste a TM just to see what happens. My only guess is that they can learn it for contests.

This thread was about Uproar. You were the first to mention the Insomniac ability, meaning it is because of you that this thread is like all the others.

Venusaur, every pokemon minus the ones that can't learn TMs can learn Rest. That's just the way it is for some reason.
