Love to write about....hate to write about....

Ok so as I'm writing, I'm planning this trainer battle. And I'm scrolling through a Pokedex thinking 'what Pokemon do I want this crazy hippy to have?' and I've noticed that some Pokemon get neglected when it comes to being written about.

On the other hand, Alakazam, Absol, Medicham, Typhlosion etc, are all Pokemon I love writing into battles. Weavile, Electabuzz, Magmar and Empoleon are others. TPML was full of my favourite Pokemon duking it out.

What Pokemon (or, to branch out, what elements of writing) to you love writing about, or hate?

I'll flesh this out when I give it more concrete and deserving thought, but I absolutely tend to write about Pokemon I hate being offed, so inadvertently they get written about alot. Igglybuff is the #1 example.

But I despise writing about trip sequencing, getting from here to there. What happens from here to there is ok, but the whole "Walking on a road" thing or driving thing gets old fast. I'll post a bit more later, as I haven't fully answered the topic at hand.

Pokemon I love to write about? Lucario for one. The awesome color scheme, the serious aura around it, the fact that it can sense auras, the fighting style, I just love it!

Oh, and Mewtwo. He's still my favorite Pokemon in the anime.

Writing elements I love? Humor and dialogue. It's nice to know that I have a sense of humor even though I don't show it a lot in real life. And that I know how dialogue works even though I'm not good at it in real life. ^^;

I like to write about pokemon who most people think are ineffective like poor Shuckle who seems useless but underneath is one of the most powerful pokemon in the game. Also the is Plusle and Minun which seperatlely are quite bad but together make a formidable force. But really I like to write about anything that has high strategic value because they make for good combinations and extrodinary writings.

I often write about pokemon I know well and like well. Or hate well. But I usually try to avoid battle scenes, I'm not really a big fan. I don't have the art of battle scene crafted as well as others here

I like writing odd Pokemon with odd behaviors. Slowpoke's been my favorite just because he's so slow and lazy. Plusle and Minun are fun but I think that's only because I write them like Mas Y Menos from Teen Titans. Uh, dancing Golduck, insane Growlithe, Bunaway XD, I like them all.

I like writing the conflict parts, not so much the battle part now (opposite of a couple years ago when I was writing 4-5 pages per POKEMON showdown).
