The Journey:

With your first experience you choose the lovable Sushi to join you on this trip. The receptionist takes your points and then takes you to a small sleeping Abra. You tell the Abra where you want to go, and with a small snore, your world goes blank.

Sensation returns as you feel and hear the wind blowing against you.

As you get your bearings, you can see part of the cave which may lie the entrance to the archives carved into the rock. You can see some movement about ten feet below you, off the beaten path. Up the slope you can see a fin slicing through part of the slope before a male Gible pops his shark-shaped head up, upsetting a female Geodude. Two male Chimchar tussle around as a female Monferno watches on. A female Elekid digs around for something to eat in the rough earth as two Magnemites float by, following a Magneton

"Its so....majestic!" Asi exclaims as she watches the sights and sounds of pokemon enjoying themselves in the wild. Being careful not to disturb them she snaps a few pictures. After the initial wonder wears off she studies the pokemon with a critical eye. "Some of these are pretty tempting," she whispers to Sushi. "But not exactly what Im looking for. Plus it wouldnt do to be hasty when I just got here, after all I only have one pokeball. Maybe next time," the last she whispers softly to the pokemon at play as she carefully avoids attracting the attention of the pokemon before her.
But yet she is still faced with a decision. Follow the movement off the path, or try and make it to the cave where the archives could be. Thinking quickly, she starts off towards the movement in the bushes. After all the cave isnt going anywhere, and curiousity drives her to seek out that which she did not know. Moving slowly towards the rustling she holds her breath, straining to see what it could be.....

The Journey:

You and Sushi try to get closer to the movement you spotted down below. The Magneton and Magnemitets hover away over a ridge. The two Chimchar's scuffling knocked them into the fighting and arguing Geodude and Gible, starting another ruckus above you on the slope.

Looking below, you're surprised to see a collection of boulders in a line that move a bit irattically. You instantly recognize the formation as not geologic but Pokémonic! It's an Onix,and it doesn't look so well. The fighting Pokemon above you still have your attention as a small flock of Starly fly by.

Asi looks concerned as she gazes at the sick/injured Onyx. Though her main profession wasnt as a pokemon doctor, as a Pokemon Researcher she did posess some medical knowledge about her charges. Still, despite the fact that she wanted to help very badly, she approaches the Onyx with caution. "Sushi," Asi said softly. "Please tell the Onyx that we want to help and ask it what seems to be the matter. Try to ease its fears, it must be pretty scary for it to see a water pokemon while its injured, even though you normally would pose not much of a threat against one so large." Sushi nods and proceeds to engage in conversation with the groaning Onyx.

The Journey:

You and Sushi scale down the slope to the Onix down below. Sushi approaches the big guy, only to have the Rock Snake Pokemon rear up a third of its body length and let out a roar to the small Water Type. Seeing the head, you can tell that it looks sick and unwell. The sheen of its boulders is dim, they seem to be cracking, and he looks as if he's in pain. Sushi stands his ground against the Onix display and through an exchange of chirps and roars, calms the Rock and Ground Type down.

The Onix is sick, really sick. Poisoned would be your guess. The communication you receive suggests that there are some plants on the mountain that will cure if not alleviate the effects of the illness. The Onix was traveling there when the pain became too bearable and it stopped.

As you get the information, you notice a Magby chasing after a Bonsely teasingly with a Skarmory perched on a ledge down the path.

Asi nods slowly to herself as her little penguin gives her the report. Her eyes are caught by the play of the Magby and the Bonsly, and while normally she would try to go after the Bonsly to capture it, she decides that since she only has one pokeball, she wants to save it for something that shes been waiting for. In the meantime, this Onyx needs her help, so she sets off after easing its mind that she will return. However on the way to the plants that the Onyx spoke of, she keeps her eyes open for any pokemon that may interest her.

The Journey:

With the destination in mind, you and Sushi start heading down the path, just as the squabbling Pokemon above you seemingly break up the fight. The Onix rests there, watching you go off. The Skarmory preens itself, notices you, then flies off as you get closer. The path is rocky and a bit unstable as you and Sushi follow the trail. Taking you far away from the large doors with ASB carved into them.

Along the way you notice up the slope four Geodude surrounding a Graveler, being harassed by a Rilou. You can hear a flock of Starly, probably the same flock you saw earlier on the wind, but they're too far away to see. There are some moving bushes off to the side...Moving bushes?!

This is the old location of the village before the battling league moved the village a mile east. In this ancient test of time, among old buildings and disused shops you will find a variety of city Pokemon living in solitude. Rumor has it there are secrets underneath the village.

One Pokeball

Abandoning the icy cave you decide to go to a place that looks like it had more civilization. The skeleton had given you the creeps and perhaps you figured it was a good idea to visit a place it may once have lived, perhaps to ease your troubled soul at leaving a body without a proper burial. For whatever reason you decided to come to the Old Village, here you are.
You teleport into the middle of the town square, the old inn looming ahead of you at the end of the square, with various old hat and dress shops to the right of you and to the left, an old tavern. Behind you the wind whistles through old timbers which seemed to once belong to a courthouse. The silence was only slightly broken by the electric hum of a Magnemite nearby, and the soft rustling of various gendered Nidoran making nests out of the empty shells of buildings. You think you spotted an Eevee ducking inside the old inn, and a Lickitung was annoying a Shuppet which was haunting near the old tavern. There is also a small sound you do not recognise coming from the ruined and burnt looking timbers behind you.

Asi starts as she sees something that she liked very much. "A.....RIOLU!?" she had to slap her hand over her mouth to avoid startling the wild pokemon. Yearning to battle it and make it hers, she frowns to herself as her consience tugs at her. "That Onyx is counting on me, if I get distracted now, it could die. If I catch this Riolu I will have to go back and by the time a rescue team came to save it, it might already be too late. I cant just let that happen when I have the power to prevent it." Frowning wistfully at the riolu, she entertains the hope that it will still be there when she completes her task at hand. Reaching a hand into the bushes to gather the plants the onyx was looking for, she starts to head back towards it.

A thick and heavy jungle where the best of explorers will find a thousand and one bugs. That's not to mention the abundant Poison types and several Grass types too.

The Journey:

The Meganium move away from the tree as you watch the fight between the two Bug Types. The queen bee unleashes a burst of glowing needles at the Venomoth, only to have them pushed off course by a gust of wind from the moth itself.

Waiting for the right moment, Athene bides her time before snorting at the Venomoth,(-3) drawing it closer in its newfound confusion towards MLG and Athene. The Vespiqueen is not ammused as it lets out a high pitched buzz and the Combee buzz around the Venomoth

The Journey:

You watch with the look of a kid on Christmas Eve, glancing longingly at the Riolu as it harrassess the Gravler and the Geodudes before the Graveler, fed up with the annoyance swats a glob of mud at it, causing it to scamper away, mud in its eyes.

So concentrated on the Riolou that you didn't pay attention to where you were sticking your hand into the bush. Neither did you hear the warning chirps of Sushi as the Piplup comes scambering after you. You realize, as the scenery is moving, that you're moving too!

Glancing down at your feet you can see that you aren't on part of the mountain anymore, but on the back of a massive Torterra! Your hand is swiped at by something and you look into the bush where your hand was. You find a small group of Shinx curled together in the bush-tree. A Gligar hangs upside down, dropping next to your head and letting out a playful shriek, while an Aron sleepily walks up, unleashing a massive yawn. A Skarmory lands on the giant stone growing out of the Torterra's back as the massive Continent Pokémon continues walking.

Looks like this little errand wasn't so little..was it?

Asi quickly slaps her hand over her piplups eyes to chield it from seeing the Yawn. "We dont need that do we..." she murmurs to herself as she gazes around her moving surroundings. This Torterra could be taking her anywhere, and while normally she would wait it out to see where it leads her, there was a sick pokemon getting worse by the minute, counting on her to save it. Cursing the fates which led her to such a hard decision, she turns to her Sushi. "Sushi can you ask that Gligar to give us a ride off this pokemon? Id jump but we dont need to get hurt too. If possible ask him to take us directly to the plants we need."

The Journey:

The Torterra continues making its way down the path, whatever path it's on. Sushi starts chirping at the Gligar as you hold onto the tree for some stability. The Gligar listens for a bit before letting out a laugh boarding on insanity. It drops down, zipps by your head and disappears over the edge of the Torterra's shell. Nothing seems to change, but the Aron walks up and starts sleepily talking to Sushi. The Shinx stay huddled together in their little den inside the bush-tree.

The Torterra haults, causing some Starly that were hiding in the branches and the Skarmory to fly off. Theres some tense moments before the Gligar zooms back on, landing next to Sushi and letting out another cackling laugh before talking to the Piplup. After an exchange between them, the Torterra starts moving once more. This time closer to the path you were on.

Seems that the Gligar talked to your transportation, and takes you back to the path you were on as the Gligar gives you a clawed “V” sign.

Asi says with a soft smile at her little penguin and giving one last nod towards the Gligar she continues her way up the path towards the plants. "Do keep an eye out for any more obsticles!" she asks as an afterthought to her small pokemon.

The Journey:

The Torterra stops at a ledge where you can get off. You offer some food to the Gligar who cackles gleefully before zooming around to the Torterra and you can here a content growl from the massive Plant Pokémon. As you watch it lumber off, you keep on your trail. That Onix needs help, and it's in pain right now.

You keep running along the path with Sushi trying to keep up as best he can. Off the path you can hear a fast-paced clicking of claws and see two Skorupi facing off in some sort of competition. A Lairon rummages through some rocks and dirt, digging for tubers. And a Golem faces down a Rhyhorn on the crest of the next hill, on the same path you are!

Asi clutches her pokedex happily as she watches brave Sushi hop towards the larger pokemon with a sense of purpose.

The Journey:

Sushi hops up, avoiding the Skorupi mating, dancing, fighting, neither of you knew. The small little Piplup started trying to get the Golem and Rhyhorn's attention.

Lager, the two Rock Types look down at Sushi before ignoring it and going back to their struggle. Sushi, that brave little warrior, chirps at them louder, obviously peeved. Annoyed by the little thing, the Golem back-hands Sushi (-2/-3).

Oh that did it. Sushi, fuming mad, started to concentrate and a slight glow surrounded him (-8). Water collected from the area, sending some of the other Pokémon scampering before Sushi slammed the collection of water at the two fighting rock-heads (-15/-15). Sushi looks proud of himself, but that pride turns to worry, and then to fear as the Golem and Rhyhorn glare at the small Piplup.

Combat is imminent!

"Well it seems that Surf got their attention so wash another one upon both of them. Then Hydro Pump that Golem. Finally end with a Hydro Pump on the other one as well. Well see how this goes before we try anything any more desperate."

The Area:

A tall mountain out of the main village. Expect a variety of rock, ground and fire types to be seen among the road to the summit. Can you unlock the code to get into the Archives?

The Journey:

The fight breaks down into a 2-on-1 challenge as the Golem and the Rhyhorn face down the tiny Piplup. Sushi doesn't waste any time summoning more water and sending it at his two opponents even as the Rhyhorn comes charging (-9/-12/-14). The Rhyhorn forces herway through the wall of water and repeatidly stabs at Sushi with her horn (-5/-6). The Goelm rushes in now, and slams into Sushi with his sharpened claws (-14/-13) and sends the little Pokémon flying back.

The Rhyhorn comes charging in again, this time the air circulation around its horn like a drill (-15). It lunges for Sushi, but the Piplup slides out of the way just in time to unleash a blast of water right at the Golem (-13/-15). Washed back a distance, the Golem curls up before rolling down the path towards Sushi and slamming into the Water Type (-3/-4).

Sushi's having a bad time. Taking on two at once wasn't a good idea, but as he pushed himself up, he saw the Rhyhorn charging him from the front (-7), and the Golem was spinning around for another pass (-6). They were getting closer, and coming in very fast and furious. Sushi was getting nervous, watching them get closer, and closer, faster and faster. Breaking his fear at the last minute he jumped to the side just as the Golem and Rhyhorn slammed into one another! (-15/-15) The force of the impact knocked both out, with the Golem on his back spinning around, and the Rhyhorn laying on her side, her eyes spinning.

As you stand there, watching the scene as the dust clears, you see something small, spherical and blue roll towards you from the impact. It's a Great Ball and the way is now clear.

Three Pokeballs

The loud sounds of rock being moved and crushed greets your ears as you are ported to the entrance to the Crushridge Quarry. You take a few cautious steps forward, gazing around at what the busy quarry has to offer. Far ahead of you is the lip of the quarry, where a long drop awaits anyone careless enough to get too close to the edge and slip. To the right a path leads around the edge of the giant crater towards some far off buildings, and to the left another path winds around and down into the crater itself far below. Presently you can see a female Geodude playing whack-a-mole with a few Diglett of various genders. A ways off you can spot a male Makuhita sparring with a female Mankey. Looking off to the left you can see a female Donphan giving a ride in a comical fashion to a female Sandshrew which is doing a handstand on its back. Odd...
You can hear the cry of a Skarmory far above you.

He looked over at the Geodude currently trying to whack a bunch of troublesome digletts. "Perhaps we should see what happens," He murmured quietly to himself, slowly approaching the geodude.

Three Pokeballs

The Geodudette is so intent on its game that it doesnt hear you approach. As you get closer, however, the diglett do see you, and as they dive underground the Geodudette looks pissed that its game had come to an abrupt end. She stares at you as if blaming you for its fun being ruined. She smashes one fist threateningly into the ground and shakes the other one at you. The resulting rumble in the ground caused a few Trapinch to scurry out of their underground burrow and gaze, startled, around them. A previously unseen Aron slinks behind a rock, avoiding any sign of conflict, and the Makuhita and Mankey stop their sparring and look eagerly in your direction, hoping to see a fight. For the moment, the pissed Geodudette is biding her time, watching to see what you do next.

He stared directly into th Geodude's eyes. It was clear she was mad at his interuption and she was hoping to get some retribution for his interference.

"So it's a fight you want is it?" he murmured, reaching for his pokeballs. Slowly, he flicked it behind him, where it bounced along the ground before opening in a flash of light.

When the light cleared, people would be surprised to see the towering form of a Gyarados behind him.

"Then it's a fight you'll get."

Three Pokeballs

You release your Gyrados to the sounds of fear and dismay of just about every pokemon within viewing range. The troop of Trapinch make a break for it, thundering across the ground and down the path the Donphan took earlier. The Aron scrambles out from behind the rock and makes a beeline for the edge of the cliff, tucking and rolling it flings itself off towards the center of the crater below. The Mankey and Makuhita keep their distance, though obviously pleased to see a fight brewing. Geodudette looks visibly cowed by the sight of the Gyrados, however, its own foolish pride at beginning the challenge keeps her standing her ground. She throws her fist forward to strike The Tower with a Hammer Arm, then, feeling a bit intimidated due to the fact that the attack did only half of what it should, Defense Curls and Rock Polishes herself. The battle has begun.

Asi spies her prize and makes a dash for it as her foes tumble to the ground. "Theyll never believe this back home, Sushi." She pants and closes her hand around the Great Ball. Holding it above her head she can almost hear the Zelda "You got an item!" music play. "Ahem....anyway, good job Sushi!" she takes her camera and snaps a photo of the proud piplup next to the fallen rock types. "Now lets get going, we ve got a pokemon to cure!" Pocketing her camera and the Ball, she continues on down the path, checking plants along the way to see if their the right type.

The Tower simply stared at the small rock in disbelief, as if saying "Oh no you didn't!" Ben could sense the workings of a catfight here, and when there's a catfight involving a Gyarados, it's best to stay clear.

"I think I'll leave this up to you," Ben spoke, stepping back, swearing he heard his pokemon chuckle evilly.

The Journey:

With your new found prize under your belt, and a photo showing your victory and quickly vacating the premises before the Golem and Rhyhorn come to their senses. Making your way up the trail, and over the crest of the next hill, you see a small enclave with bushes. Sushi grabbed your attention to the plants, indicating that indeed the plants that the Onix needed are here.

Smiling you and Sushi get down and get ready to pick some of the leaves but you're stopped by a Torkal standing and in your way.

The Old Village
This is the old location of the village before the battling league moved the village a mile east. In this ancient test of time, among old buildings and disused shops you will find a variety of city Pokemon living in solitude. Rumor has it there are secrets underneath the village.

One Pokeball

You carefully walk towards the old burnt-down courthouse where the noise was coming from. You step over fallen timbers which smell of charcoal and watch your head around sagging beams as you step towards the middle of the ruined building. The sound gets louder as you get closer and finally after peering around a particularly large mound of rubble you see its source, a Drifloon. The sound is the haunting rush of wind going in and out of its balloon-like body. A few Zubat lurk among the rafters of the old building and a Forretress hangs out in a darkened corner. A couple Golbat can be seen and you think you catch a glimpse of a Crobat lurking among the pile of Zubat hanging upside down.

The Geodudette sees the look in Towers eyes and uses Defense Curl. Shes beginning to think she made a mistake in threatening The Tower's beloved master. The Tower isnt having any of that ground or rock nonsense, and she certainly wasnt dancing around things. You wisely step back, because when pokemon have a cat fight, even if there arent any cats involved, you can be sure it wont be pretty. The Tower confirms this by using Hydro Pump on the Geodudette.

Geo panics and thinks it would probably be a good idea to be a lot faster than she is now so that she can hopefully run away. Wet and dripping she uses Rock Polish on herself again to increase her Speed. The Tower laughs and lets Geodudette know how stupid she is by whacking her upside the head with her Aqua Tail.

Having had insult added on to injury Geodudette's anger was renewed. She decided that shes had enough of this saucy bitches tauntings and used Stone Edge on her. It hurts the Tower but the pain only serves to make her get serious again, as she uses Hydro Pump once again. Geodudette is very angry and scared at this point.

Whats this? Somethings Happened!

All the rock polishing and the water attacks have washed off the grime from the Geodudette! When once she appeared to be a normal one it turns out under all that dust and grime she was a shiny Geodude! No wonder shes such a prima-donna!

Ben's eyes widened at the sight. A shiny Geodude?

"Tower! Stop!"

The Gyarados looked back at its master, confused as he slowly began to approach the weakened Geodude. He looked down at the golden pokemon, giving her a gentle smile before pulling out one of the balls in his posession.

"You've got a strong spirit for picking a fight with the Tower, even at such a disadvantage. I could use a pokemon like you."

And with that, he dropped the pokeball onto the geodude.

The Journey:

As Sushi walks up to talk to the Torkal, he's stopped as the fire tortoise spits out a burst of flames and mutters something towards the Piplup about his turf being here.

Sushi took the insult and unleashed a loud shreik (-3/Confused) which caught the Torkoal off guard. The Torkoal, his eyes spinning coughed up a poisonous noxious cloud that missed Sushi by a few feet (-5).

Shaking his head to clear the confusion, the Torkoal slipped on some of the plants and smacked the ground hard (-7). Sushi saw his chance and blasted a burst of water at the Fire Tortiose that slammed into it and sent it sliding along the ground, making a trench (-6/-8). However, the pulses from the pulse canceled out the burst from the earlier Supersonic, and now Torkoal had his mind back.

Sushi then tried to summon the water from the soil, concentrating it into a decent attack (-15). Taking the advantage, the Torkoal defends himself by slamming into Sushi with his whole body, shocking the little Water Penguin's system (-8/-8 (Paralyzed)) and causing Sushi to lose control of the collected water, letting it fall back and be reabsorbed to the ground.

The fight's started, and the Torkoal doesn't look happy as flames leap from its nostrils.
