Wow OK. That was 9 out of ten reffings in 2 hours . Great great. Just wanted to let ya'll know that -as I browsed every battle here... ya'll doing a real good job here of being open about what may be disagreeable. Everyone's pretty damn civil, and I appreciate that alot n_n. Making this place run very smoothly.

Umm April's almost here, and that hopefully means Round 2 of the Tournament X_X.

Safari Revival is beyond what I was expecting. Very happy to see that project get a much needed activity lift.

Um, a word of advice to all refs-no matter what genre. Don't feel as if you have to overload yourself with massive reffing jobs. I don't need any of you guys burning out . Do whatever you can-its very much appreciated by the people that are battling, and by me.

I've trained under toil and tribulation to be able to handle over god knows how many reffings at one time. Ya dun hafta follow my example. Any little bit helps. Ok off my soapbox. Onto Heroes. I see ya later!

This is something I thought could be discussed in ASB. Since the inclusion of the Legendary Tournament, I've begun thinking about Legendary Pokemon and their supposed power in a system like our ASB. I came to the conclusion that many legendary Pokemon are not so powerful that they could not be incorporated into our ASB. On the other hand, there are a number of legends that I could not see being integrated into our ASB.

If we tiered the legendary Pokemon correctly, we would be able to exclude a number of Pokemon from our system while welcoming a vast number into availability. Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Regigigas and Arceus strike me as instant 'No Go' Pokemon.

Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, Shaymin, Manaphy and Phione (is that a legendary?) don't seem too strong in something like ASB. Mew's movepool might disqualify it from use. But the other four's strength in the games is attributed to their stats, which are arbitrary in ASB.

Furthermore, what about the legendary birds? The dogs? The Regi's and even the psychic trio in DPP aren't so overpowerful that they would dominate Teams and cause an unholy winning streak for their owner. I'd be more concerned facing a Dragonite or Salamence, personally.

Some Pokemon like Cresscelia (sp?) or Darkrai may seem big and intimidating, but I'm not sure if they would fall under the 'accessible' catagory or the 'omnipotent'. I also believe Heatran could be implemented correctly.

Now while I'm asking you to consider the use of legendary Pokemon in ASB, I'm not expecting them to be available easily. Otherwise we would have chaos on our hands. These Pokemon could be given permission to exist in our ASB, but I forsaw the gift of a legendary Pokemon to perhaps, the winner of a large Tournament. Perhaps our moderators could each recieve one or, similar to the Fanfic Hall of Fame, our community vote members into a Hall of Fame where they are given a coveted legendary. This would only occur perhaps tri-anually.

What does anyone think? Like I said, the inclusion of legendaries would be restricted to specific species. I also imagine they could be found in the Safari Zone, but aptly only under very rare circumstances.

I'd like to know what people think.

Eh... it's an interesting idea, definitely, but something about it doesn't really sit well with me. I can't really put my finger on it. If I find myself able to articulate it better at some point, well, I'll say it here. But if Dark's up for it, I suppose I'd have no major objections at the moment.

Also, just posting to let people know that I am still alive. I decided to take a very unfortunate selection of classes, the upshot of which is that I have 2 to 3 projects (like, actual projects, not just homework assignments) due every week. As this is rather new to me, some things in my life have had to take a backseat.

Legendaries are a weird and wicked bunch. When I thought up this Legendary Tourney-i had the extreme fun of looking through move pools and typing to see (in my eye)how I could formulate Tiers for selection. Then I considered their ASB pros and cons. Like you said, alot of their power is based on their stats, but even in non ASB competitive game play, alot of these Pokemon are considered Legendary-but not UBER. That is the main Tier difference we are looking for.

As the Moderator now, I do see how this idea will work..right now. I'm not saving everyone will want one, but the allure of having one will be intensely high for some people. However, its the maintenance of the idea over time that I have issues with. Not to mention, as you brought up-how in the world would we go about having people achieve such rare Pokemon...

Then I remembered something that hasn't been done in a while...that might be able to return that could help this idea (a lil).

Member of the Month. However-this is tricky. Because Member of the Month is not solely based on popularity-its (to me) a title based on how well you give and devote in put in here, as well as how much your receive. But if someone wins Member of the Month for quite a few times in a row, I do not see any reason why they should not get a Legendary-they're been putting all they've got into ASB in order to be selected by the community.

Also. Safari Zone. If one could catch a Legendary, it would be in there, But to even find one....It would be beyond rare >> It would have to be on an epic trek, actually, because that's not something you stumble on damned fast. Perhaps we need another activity that helps accompany this radical notion, Chris.

In any event. I'm done rambling. I wanna hear everyone's input on this (as usual) .

Well if we do, do it in Saf Zone (wants a Mew Personally... because well... he can't be Mew Master without a Mew can he?), we'd have to make it so difficult to find one that it'd be near statistically implausable!

Like rolling a d20, and a set of percentiles and needing to get a Nat 20 and 100% in order to find one.

I think we could incorporate Legendaries into the ASB, however it may also unbalance the game a bit. Depends on how often and what ones are used.
