Appearing on a barren wasteland is a small dinosaur versus…A bud… A rosebud, to be more specific called Subomi. Budew starts off with spraying a stun spore at Cranidos (2 ENG @ Subomi), who quickly retaliates with a quick and effective whirlwind. The small twister sweeps up the spores and heads for Subomi, who cringes as he becomes windswept and paralyzed (3 ENG @ Ore, PAR & 30% PHYSICAL ATK fail @ Subomi).

That round did not go quite as he planned; Subomi decides to try a bullet seed. But his muscles tense up and he’s stuck (1 ENG @ Subomi). Ore smirks and sends a stream of wicked flames at the grass-type, who cries out as the flames hit dead on (14 DMG @ Subomi, 4 ENG @ Ore)!

Subomi decides he needs the sun, and so summons Sol to increase his strength (4 ENG @ Subomi, +10% BRN & FIRE ATK +3). Ore is just having a lovely time, and and blasts a kanji of fire at his opponent, who shrieks as the flames hit home (19 DMG @ Subomi, 6 ENG @ Ore).

Ouch… Tough luck Subomi.

Showing a burst of speed, Cranidos shines himself off quickly before using that speed to zoom around Subomi and strike from the left (12 DMG @ Subomi, 6 ENG @ Ore, +2 SPD @ Ore, 20% miss @ Subomi). Subomi growls, and despite being rather small, blasts a powerful solar beam at Ore, who gets thrown back several feet (19 DMG @ Ore, 3 ENG @ Subomi).

Ow… that hurt, but Ore recovers and blasts a stream of flames at the bud (16 DMG @ Subomi, 4 ENG @ Ore). The grass type once again blasts a beam of energy at Ore, and sends him flying even farther (18 DMG @ Ore, 3 ENG @ Subomi).

Jesus Murphy, Subomi is set for revenge. He blasts a final beam at Ore but misses as the dinosaur tucks and rolls to the left (3 ENG @ Subomi).

Yay for another round! This starts off with Ore quickly stomping his foot and making four massive stone pillars rise up from the ground to entombed Subomi (7 DMG @ Subomi, -1 SPD @ Subomi, 1 ENG @ Ore). Subomi however, attempts to find some light to recover health, he finds a tiny crack and greedily absorbs whatever he can (10 HLH @ Subomi, 6 ENG @ Subomi).

Ore watches as one of the pillar’s explodes, bits of rock and stone are thrown everywhere as a solar beam (that completely missed) obliterates the tomb’s wall, revealing a Budew that looks a little better (3 ENG @ Subomi). Ore blasts another kanji of fire at the poor grass type, who yelps as the fire attack does good damage (20 DMG @ Subomi, 6 ENG @ Ore).

That… could’ve went better for Subomi, who, realizing he is sick of fire moves, sprays water around everywhere, getting himself and some of the arena soaked (2 ENG @ Subomi, SOAKED -5 FIRE ATK @ Subomi). Ore frowns, but instead sends a brutal lightning bolt at Subomi, the water conducting it like a lightning rod (4 DMG @ Subomi, PAR+ 40% PHYSICAL ATK fail @ Subomi, 4 ENG @ Ore).

Speeding ahead, Ore races to Budew and clamps onto it, biting down as hard as he can (8 DMG @ Subomi, 4 ENG @ Ore). But as the rock type clamps on, Subomi uses this chance! He literally sucks the life from Cranidos using a powerful Giga Drain (12 DMG @ Ore, 6 HLH @ Subomi, 1 ENG Subomi).

Angered and pained, Ore’s fist crackles with electrically energy, just as he drops the grass type he slams him hard with a thunder punch (2 DMG @ Subomi, 3 ENG @ Ore, 45% PHYSICAL ATK fail @ Subomi). Subomi recovers quickly, he begins to cough and eventually spews a nasty glob of toxin at Ore, who gets splattered (2 ENG @ Subomi, TOXIC @ Ore).

Alright, so that could’ve gone better for Ore, but he can recover. The dinosaur charged with head lowered and brutally slammed Subomi in the face (16 DMG @ Subomi, 3 DMG @ Ore, 3 ENG @ Ore). The plant groans, and for revenge releases paralyzing spores that hit Cranidos and sink in (2 ENG @ Subomi, PAR & 30 PHYSICAL ATK fail @ Ore).

The sun fades…

Enraged, Subomi attempts to blindly attack Ore, but his paralysis kicks in… (5 ENG @ Subomi).

Subomi seems to be calming down (50% ignore orders @ Subomi).

Seeing through his rage Subomi summons the sun once again (4 ENG @ Subomi, +10% BRN & FIRE ATK +3). Ore smiles, and sends a stream of flames at the bud pokemon (7 DMG @ Subomi, 4 ENG @ Ore). Some of the water on Subomi turns to steam (-4 FIRE ATK @ Subomi).

Subomi seems to be calming down (40% ignore orders @ Subomi).
