Edea powers up another agility and while its still going strong darts over to Thief that Ultra Ball. Forret roars in anger and confusion as it struggles to do something to stop your pokemon. But in its confusion it uses Protect, which only succeeds in protecting against the Flash from Judge.

Edea runs outside and while shes safe in the wan sunlight she Relaxes. Meanwhile back inside Judge Teleports outside just as Forret is bitching at the fact that its paralyzed. Both Edea and Judge are outside and feeling pretty pleased with themselves.

Edea is done with her moves so she just chills and watches Judge relax to gain back some energy. Suddenly both of them hear a high pitched whine followed by a large explosion coming from inside. The roof shifts slightly but stays standing, and dust pours out of the building. Through the dust you see a pokemon you havent seen before in this particular zone dart out from inside the building and run for the hills. The flock of various Bats also book it, calling you all sorts of mean names for making the forret explode (as if you told it to). The copies of Edea dissipate as the battle ends.

You step cautiously towards the buildings, you arent sure whats inside and you still arent quite sure that you trust the Dugtrio's advice either. What could possibly be in there?
You open the creaky wooden door slowly, peeking around the corner before stepping all the way in. Inside you see a desk covered in old papers and an ink well resting atop, a stool that had been knocked over, a sign that says "Danger- Elevator Shaft through this door. Authorized personnel only", and beside that, a door with a numerical keypad lock next to it. This must be what the Dugtrio was talking about, but what was the code? You can hear some faint rustling coming from the corners of the room, it seems your not alone. But at the moment whatever it is is in hiding. There are a lot of things in here that seem to deserve a closer look.

Asi smiles down at her sweet little pokemon. "You deserve that rest little man, that was a hard battle!" She continues down the path towards the Onyx, carrying her precious cargo with care, as she keeps an eye out for anything that may threaten.

A large plain that overlooks TPML, the grass is soft and the air tasty. A plethora of grass Pokemon are found here as they enjoy the tickling breeze and the bright sunshine. Bird and normal-types are also found here.

The Journey:

Entering the Safari Zone Receptionist area, you leave your other Pokémon there and take your faithful Zale with you to venture into the park. Fortunatly for you, you don't have to take the risky teleportation system with the still inexperienced Psychic types. They have a trolley that takes you up to the fields as it overlooks the village.

After ten minutes you step out of the trolley and walk along the path to the fields. It's a nice day, with little clouds. You think you can see some light from up on a mountain farther away from the village, but pay it no mind. Zale and you are amazed with what you see.

A flock of several Pidgey and Pidgeotto fly by as a massive unit, on their way for food. A Fearow carefully watches them from a distance away. Three Bulbasaur are playing with three other Chikorita as the larger evolutions of Venusaur and Meganium watch from the shade.

Various bugs such as Caterpie, Weedle, and Wurmple munch on the grass away from the larger predators.

As you step forward, Zale grabs your attention and points you to something hidden in the dirt. You lean over and brush away the soil and find, of all things, a Coba Berry!

The Journey:

You make the trek back as best you can with the collection of leaves for the Onix and the sleeping Sushi making himself a bed with them. The little Penguin's wounds are healing and the grimace on his face seems to be disappearing (+24).

As you make it back over the hump, the Rhyhorn and Golem are gone, however there are a bunch of Geodude milling around the area. They watch you, but pay you no mind as you walk towards them. They're more interested in the Shinx and Chimchar game going on. Currently it looks like who can catch the three Wormadam hanging from the tree. Behind them you can see a fin breaking through the soil like water. However, the Fire and Electric Types don't, and it's circling them from what you can tell.

Start with a rain dance. Hopefully the rain will influence the pidgey to land. Then I want you to target one of the female pidgeys with icy wind. Finally finish up with ice beam. Got that Zale?" Once more he gave a nod of his head."

The Journey:

You are barely able to contain your glee as you spot the flock of Pidgey and Pidgeyotto flying off. Giving Zale the Coba Berry to eat (Super Effective Flying Moves --), you plot your move.

Zale lets out with a short prayer and motion to the gods of thunder and storm (-3) which causes a storm to brew. As the other Pokémon head for cover, the flock heads for a nearby tree.

The Vaporeon then summons the north wind with his will, picking out an isolated female Pidgey (-6/-8). The wind whips around and starts to chill the small bird to the bone.

With his target numbed, Zale goes for the next hit, a beam of super-frozen energy erupts from his mouth and arcs the distance before striking the bird (-8/-12). The bird is hit and she lets out a shriek, then the flock gets involved.

Hate to say it, but there's one thing to be said about bird Pokémon. When the flock gets mad. It. Gets. Mad. Now with a flock of birds buzzing around in a rage...

Ben could easily tell there was something in the room with him. However, he figured that approaching it would only provoke it, and since it wasn't attacking him outright, he could easily pretend it wasn't there. Keeping an ear out, and one hand sitting on his three pokeballs, he slowly approached the desk and began looking through the papers, hoping to find some sort of code.

"Nice work Zale. We need to be careful now, so start out with a Substitute. Then follow that up a blizzard on the lone pidgey. Finish up with another wide-ranged blizzard. Hopefully it will help us out.

[Crystal Tears]

Crystal coughs, waving away the smoke and dust. "Wow..." She looks at her smirking Sneasel. "Is it bad I saw that coming?"

Sneasel snickers.

"Alright well, Judge use recover, Edea mimic and use then. Then take a break to get back some energy." Crystal looks at the building. "Then, we're going back in there."

She keeps a wary eye on her little pokemon, hoping he will wake soon in case something bad happens...

The Journey:

The Geodude start moving away as they recognize the fin cutting through the soil, and head down the slope. You shout out at the Shinx to look out. They stop just short, looking at you in confusion, just as a Garchomp bursts out of the ground right where the Shinx would have been if it didn't stop. The Wormadam withdraw into the tree as the Chimchar and Shinx scurry around in confusion. As the “landshark” roars for its next meal, it scares a group of Starly away out of the tree.

It doesn't pay attention to them, as it already has its prey, and Sushi is still sleeping contently (+24).

The Journey:

The flock is getting organized dispute the wind and rain. Circling around.

Zale constructs a quick duplicate of himself, at least to give him some cover from when the flock attacks (-30/-25). The Pidgey flails before sending a burst of wind in the substitute's general direction -3/-4).

Giving the flock the position of her attacker, the Pidgey zooms in quickly, slamming into the duplicate and knocking it on its side (-4/-4). With the Pidgey in range, Zale calls forth another cold wind from the north, stronger than before (-11/-14 (FRZN)). Ice formed on the Pidgey's wings, causing it to fall to the ground, taking out a few feet of grass.

Zale then sets off with another blast of cold air, this time covering the field (-13/-15 (Entire Flock)). The attack manages to dissuade the flock from attacking, and they fly off away from you and Zale, and back to their tree. Their member is now at the mercy of you both.

The Pidgey is on her own,the flock abandonded her and now she's trying to struggle and get out of the ice (-6 (30% Free)). Zale smirks as he hocks up a spittoon of sickening goo, and slapping it onto the flailed Flying Pokémon (-6/Poisoned (TXC 2 HP)), and it soaks through the frozen cap.

Zale takes the time to start his own self-healing processes (-7), while the Pidgey struggles against the ice (-8, (45% Free)) and the ice cracks slightly, while Zale looks on (+8).

The Pidgey continues to struggle (-4, (59% Free)), and Zale looks on, bemused as he just sits back and lets the poison do the work (+5, +8/-2 (TXC)).

Zale takes your cue and relaxes for the round as the Pidgey struggles in her confines, the ice around her head cracking (+5, +8/-6 (78% Free)).

The Pidgey manages to break out fairly well, with blocks still sticking to her wings (-9 (87% Free)). Zale's ready as he unleashes another chilling blast of energy (-7, +1/-12). The rain stops at about this point, the clouds parting and beams of sunshine coming down.

With another burst the Pidgey breaks out, slamming into the substitute hard (-4, (92% Free)/-8 (Critical)). Zale summons another burst of cold air to sweep across the plain, chilling the Pidgey to the bone (-5/-8 (SPD -)). The Pidgey is miserable as her muscles numb with the ice and wind beating upon her.

With the Pidgey chilled to the bone, you let the Poké Ball. When it connects, the ball splits and the Pikdgey is energized before sealed within the two halfs.

Ding!

The ball stops and you watch as it disappears before your eyes. The next thing you know, a Xatu flies above head, ready to teleport you back to the Safari Zone front desk.

Having escaped from the explosion you instruct your pokemon to heal. Judge quickly uses recover on itself, with Edea quickly mimicing it to heal himself too. Then having nothing left to fight they both Relax to prepare for any upcoming battles.

Feeling better now that that pesky asshole Forret is out of the way, you carefully pick your way across the debris-littered floor of the creaky Courthouse. That explosion not only kicked up a lot of dust, but also cleared out the bats which you were carefully avoiding before. The spot where the Forret was is a charred mess, with small, shiny pieces of Pink shell being the only sign of what once stood guard. A few beams lay across the path to the door which now hung off its hinges, a small fire blazed in another corner where some old papers acted as kindling for the dry old timbers, and what looked like a human sized hole was outlined in the far corner where the Forret once guarded. The thick dust sat undisturbed by all save for your breath as you struggled to peer around the aftermath of the explosion.

You ignore the presence in the room with you and turn towards the papers lying on the desk. They appeared to be various Shipping logs and inventory reports for the excavation which once went on here. There appeared to be six pages in total, with various dates. Looking at the yellowed paper it seemed amazing to you that it had survived for this long.

Shipping report, dated May 31st.
Rain started shortly before dawn. The trucks had a hard time getting up the mountain, was too slippery. We were only able to load three of them, the rest had to wait til we could build wooden ramps to help them get out of the mud. This whole fiasco put us behind schedule for the rest of the week. Supervisors not going to be happy at all.

Inventory report, dated Oct 2nd.
2 crates marble, 4 crates granite, 1 crate sandstone, and five more to be finished by the end of today. The golem are all too eager to work.

Letter of Complaint, dated April 18th.
All of us here at Bunk number four are getting sick of sharing a toilet. Not only do the men not keep it clean, but the pokemon have been stealing the toilet paper and playing with it outside. We cant work under these conditions!

"Rock hard. Sturdy. Dependable. Stone. So good, you can kill people with it." This cant be our slogan anymore people, we've already lost eight customers in the past week. Make a note to fire the DR Marketing Firm.

Letter to a relative, dated Feb 26th.
I hope this letter finds you well, my dear. It pains me that I have to be away on your birthday, but the work is taking longer than predicted. I know you would probably say that you are another year older, but I would like to think you are another year better. Hopefully soon I can come visit.

Pokemon status report, dated Mar 21st.
Two of our best worker pokemon have fallen ill recently. Though the direct cause and therefore method of treatment is unclear, it seems possible they have eaten too many of the berries that grow on the bushes around the pokemon housing complex. Whether the berries are poisonous or whether its just a case of upset stomach will not be known til the toxicology bloodwork comes back from the lab.

The papers dont seem to be ordered any particular way, but theres something that seems to strike you as being familiar. Is there a code hidden somewhere within?

Asi curses under her breath. It seemed everything needed her help, and while as a pokemon researcher she understood that sometimes things must die so that others may live, she couldnt bring herself to allow it to happen right in front of her today. "HEY!! YOU UGLY!!!" She yelled, and stooping quickly scooped up a stone and threw it straight for the Garchomps head. "Get away from there you freak!" she yelled over her shoulder as she prepared to run like hell if it came at her, hoping to buy the other pokemon some time.

What a turn of events, as the Garchomp goes after her prey for today, the Shinx and Chimchar scatter. Today just doesn't seem to be your day does it?

With a shout you hurl a small rock at the Garchomp (-5) and you caught it's attention. With a shriek, she flaps her wings and comes after you like a jet fighter from Hades. Breaking out in a dead run down the trail, you know that a Garchomp is nigh impossible to outrun once it has its prey (+16).

A gust of wind knocks you down as the Garchomp flies past (-5). Sushi and the leaves fly out of your hands, but you managed to keep some in your hands. Sushi plops around, waking up from the rough treatment (-3). Sleepily and confused it looks around, before seeing the Garchomp bearing down on him, teeth bared and ready to attack.

Leaves fly out of nowhere, slamming into the Garchomp and knocking it away from Sushi and back into the air (-4). Sushi opens his eyes and notices that there is a Torterra standing over it, with a Gligar standing on the Continent Pokémon's head like the captain of a ship as it shouts out something.

The Garchomp smiles a toothy smile. A smile that can only mean one thing to a carnivore.

Dinner time.

Crystal picks up a small piece of the pink metal. She hadn’t wanted it to die, just move. She frowns and slips the metal into her pocket, where the note from the mountain is. Edea doesn’t seem to care much, of course she never knew her Sneasel to care for much other than herself and her trainer (and maybe judge, simply for recover). The woman looks at the small fire and frowns.
“Judge use a small squirt of water to put that fire out before it spreads…” She orders, and eyes the two doors. “We’ll go through the actual doorway first.”

[i]Ben quietly looked over the documents. There was something about the six of them, no, just five of them. He looked over at the keypad before back at the letters. Slowly, he scooped them up and walked over to it, still keeping an ear out for whoever was there. He began rearranging the sheets until they were in order. He then began to punch in the numbers, starting with the letter to a relative. "No number there," he murmured, so he skipped before he went to the Pokemon Statues Report:

You walk up to the door and type in the code you have worked out from the papers. 2-4-3-5-8. The door thinks for a moment before buzzing slightly. You try to open the door but it is still locked. Somehow the code you worked out wasnt correct. It seemed at first glance that the code would be in the order of the months/days but it seems that would have been too easy to figure out and so is incorrect. However you have a feeling your on the right track, once you can figure out the correct order.....

February 26th...That was HIS birthday.

He slowly looked over the dates and realised something. They were all the dates of his friend's birthdays. He then pondered. Could his friends have something to do with the order? Hmmm

A small idea sprang into his mind. He began shifting the papers into an order, taking out the relative letter.

You frown, thinking hard and studying the letters before finally trying another code. 4-8-2-5-3. The door thinks for a moment, before making a loud grinding click. You try the door cautiously and it opens after a strong tug. Feeling pretty pleased with yourself you start to put the pages in you pocket when suddenly the rustling youve been hearing gets louder, and before you can so much as turn around the pages are snatched from your hand by a small humanoid looking creature. It growls at you and hugs the papers to it. At closer look it appears to be a male Tyrogue, and he seems interested in one page in particular---the letter to the relative. He looks like he may try and fight you if you make a move towards him and the papers, but the door is open so you could easily ignore him and go inside.

Ben stopped, looking at the Tyrogue with curiosity. Why was it interestedin that letter? Then again, he was interested in it himself. He was itnerested in all the pages. Why were his and his friend's birthdays on them?

The Tyrogue takes a step back as you move towards it and growls at your mentioning of the letter. It chatters something angerly at you which your pokemon translates as, "These letters belonged to my master, and he is gone now so they are all I have left. You cant take them from me!" With that he gets in a fighting stance, watching you and your pokemon carefully. You get the feeling that if you move towards him he will attack you, reguardless of the odds against him. He really loves those papers....

As my Ralts Lt.Kickass teleports you from the ASB Safari zone check in station to the wonderful tranquil lakes of the Ivy Lake zone you take stock of the wonderful surroundings and with a big sigh you start walking. As I hover over you in my awesome hover reffing chair I watch as you take a look around for which pokemon you would like to capture. As you move over to the lake you see a school of Magikarp swimming peacefully under the water as well as a Slowpoke sitting on the shore with its tail in the water hoping to catch something. A Staryu is also frolicking around in the water like there is no tommorow.

As you hop on Athene and dive into the crystal clear lake you put on your specially designed Retro-breathers (courtesy of Sebastian Coyle eneterprises) and a set of goggles. Scubaring around in the water you notice the same school of Magikarp again as well as the Slowpoke's tail which seems to have a Shellder below it ready to bite. As you look around some more you notice a slight crevasse in the wall of the lake which is surrounded by two Tentacool.

As you move over to the crevasse a school of Remoraid dart from it and join the rest of the pokemon in the lake. Turning on your H.E.A.D lights (High-powered, Electric, All-Purpose, Dynamo Lights, product courtesy of Sebastian.L.Coyle Industries) you move into the creavasse. As soon as you enter you notice a clear change in the temperature of the water and begin to shiver. Moving through the icy water you notice a small Clamperl in the corner releasing air bubbles through the water. As you move deeper you notice a bright light in front of you.

As you swim closer and closer to the light it gets brighter and brighter before directly shining in your eyes. As you blink tyring to regain your focus you realise it is a trio of Chinchou's swimming around in the dark. Feeling quite gipped by the ref you keep on swimming you see a small Mantyke swimming around in circles desperately trying to find his mother while a Finneon tries to console it. Looking around again you look up to see a light colouration of the water similar to ice as well as sounds coming from above the water.

As you head for the surface the water you hear a splash as your body breaks the thin layer of ice covering the surface of the water. Looking around you notice you are in a giant ice cavern that seems to stretch for ages. Climbing out of the frezzing water you slip slowly onto the ice, after much slipping and sliding around you manage to regain your balance and you begin to scout around. Looking aorund the glistening cave you see a Spheal on a small ledge playing around with an ice ball, while 2 Snorunt dance around a Swinub who seems quite distrought.
