Because some Baby Pokemon (Tyrogue) have limited moves and obvious weaknesses that can be exploited, while others (Smoochu, Magby, Elekid etc) would be absolute terrors.

I've never battled with Ditto, Cleffa and Togepi. I wonder how it'll go. I imagine asking ditto to transform into a plank of wood with a rusty nail in it, is out of the question?

Maybe make it one big melee with you three having to work against me?

The only thing I can do, for simplicity sake, is make it a Multi Battle.

Each competitor focuses on the one Pokemon that is chosen to go up against them-yet you all can use one thread. That, I can allow. So theoretically

And vs Blade and Grey and Drag

Blade chose Ditto, For Blade....Andrew chooses...Cleffa. Blade cannot fight anyone but that Cleffa. And chooses Togepi for Grey's Togepi, they can only fight each other. Its a one on one evaluation to see how well you can do on your own as a Leader-hence a actual melee would not be suitable.

I just thought of something, if there's room for 4 more gym leaders, what happens if only 3 (or less) of the challengers vying to be gym leaders win their matches against the gym leaders they chose? In other words, if there were only 4, 5, 6, or 7 gym leaders after all this, how would the remaining spot(s) be filled?

To me, it really reminds me how much of the Jeopardy! tournaments work, in addition to the 5 winning semi-finalists, the remaining 4 slots there are given to the 4 non-winners who got the most cash among themselves.
