The Green Lanturn, draped from head-to-toe in varying shades of green, steps out into the simple battlefield. He is nervous -- but hiding it behind confidence -- about winning the battle and starting a gym of his own. His eyes meet the proctor -- the new "leader of ASB" -- DarkestLight, a man too good for spaces. They both nod respectively to one another, and the match officially begins. Both trainers toss their rented poke balls, releasing onto the field two tiny, normal-typed pokemon.

Eggsquirt, being the faster of the two, initiates the round by closing his eyes and snapping his fingers. A protective veil envelops his tiny egg frame, protecting him from the ailments (-10% Eggsquirt : SAF). A few seconds behind is Dagoba, performing the same technique and being protected by the same protective veil (-10% Dagoba : SAF).

Sharpening his ax, Eggsquirt keeps his eyes closed and ponders for a few moments. Already he feels his elemental prowess greatening as Dagoba readies his second technique (-5% Eggsquirt : ++SA). Dagoba squeels aloud, firing off a swift volley of rainbow-colored magical leaves that crash into the egg-pokemon (-7% Eggsquirt; -5% Dagoba).

Eggsquirt continues to be passive in his attack, errecting another silvery shield to wrap around his body (-5% Eggsquirt : ++SD). Dagoba, once more, follows up with a crackling electric bullet of an attack -- each one crashes into the togepi with lightened verocity (-4% Eggsquirt; -5% Dagoba).

With the ax sharpened wonderfully, Eggsquirt snaps his fingers, releasing a torrent of three elements: fire, lightning, and ice. The delta attack strikes into Dagoba violently, causing light, but hurtful, damage (-4% + -4% + -4% Dagoba; -8% Eggsquirt). Dagoba retalliates by smacking the ground below forcefully. He swipes and swipes at it furiously as he manages to duck away from the fight momentarily (-5% Dagoba).

Seeing no opportunity to attack, Eggsquirt merely waits for his opponent eagerly to emerge from the trench he just dug. But as the egg pokemon's patience wanes, he hobbles over to the hole and realizes that his adversary is nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Dagoba stealthily digs up from behind his foe, crashing into him with a furious anger (-12% Eggsquirt; -3% Dagoba). Eggsquirt lands on the ground with a thud, and readies his counterattack, shooting off another torrid collection of the elements that strike into the angelic pixie (-4% + -4% + -4% Dagoba; -8% Eggsquirt).

Dagoba picks himself off the ground, grabs a clump of dirt in his right hand, and smacks it into the egg pokemon's side, causing light damage (-3% Eggsquirt; -1% Dagoba). The togepi pulls himself back together before snapping his fingers once more, shooting off a chain of venomous fire to devour his foe. The flames crash into Dagoba forcefully as he squeals in pain (-10% Dagoba; -7% Eggsquirt).

Once more, Eggsquirt snaps his fingers and summons a triple-torrent of fire, water, and lightning. The three elements chase after Dagoba, causing damage (-4% + -4% + -4% Dagoba; -8% Eggsquirt). Dagoba shakes off the attack, and retalliates by firing off a barrage of wonderfully-colored magical leaves that home onto Eggsquirt, causing light damage (-5% Eggsquirt; -3% Dagoba).

Eggsquirt fires another (-4% + -4% + -4% Dagoba; -8% Eggsquirt), and Dagoba summons a large grass vine from out of nowhere. He tosses the midsection behind Eggsquirt, and swiftly pulls forward. The vine snatches the tiny legs of the togepi, bringing him down very easily for light damage (-4% Eggsquirt; -2% Dagoba).

And another, (-4% + -4% + -4% Dagoba; -8% Eggsquirt). Frustrated by the third attack of three elements, Dagoba snaps his fingers and summons a sudden chill to wrap around the togepi. Ice wraps around Eggsquirts legs and appendages (-8% Eggsquirt -SPD; -6% Dagoba), causing his speed to wane.

Eggsquirt's actions are slow, but he manages to shoot off another tri-elemental torrent at his foe; but the blast is weakened by Dagoba's sudden shielding (-8% Dagoba SD+) (-3% + -3% + -3% Dagoba; -8% Eggsquirt).

Eggsquirt's slightly annoyed that his attack wasn't as effective, but before he can fire off his second attack, Dagoba snaps his fingers, and in an instant, is surrounded by several clones -- five, to be precise (-10% Dagoba). Confused, Eggsquirt takes a chance and fires off a glob of water, only to fall short when the water strikes into a clone, dissipating it (-8% Eggsquirt).

Dagoba begins to sing his song; a light tenor, the soothing music puts the togepi at ease, but not to sleep (-4% Dagoba). Eggsquirt merely shrugs it off before firing off another attack at a randomly selected Dagoba, doing nothing but nothing as the clone vanishes (-8% Eggsquirt).

The round concludes, and both pokemons' safeguard shatter.

The battle is nearing its conclusion, and both pokemon are feeling the effects in different ways. Dagoba, faster of the two, snaps his fingers gleefully, summoning another chilling wind to envelop the tiny egg-shaped pokemon, Eggsquirt (-8% Eggsquirt -SPD; -6% Dagoba). Eggsquirt aches, but retalliates by firing off a snappy jolt of elecricity from his fingertips. The electricity splinters in several directions, easily destroying all of Dagoba's clones (-4% Dagoba ---EVA; -5% Eggsquirt).

Dagoba, slightly perturbed, snaps his fingers once more to release another attack -- a volley of multi-colored magical leaves escapes, crashing into Eggsquirt with great ease (-6% Eggsquirt; -5% Dagoba). Eggsquirt takes the abuse, and yawns... simply yawns (-2% Eggsquirt). Dagoba notes the reaction and realizes that he too is drowsy.

Dagoba immediately haults his movement and closes his eyes (+10% Dagoba SLP), whilst Eggsquirt keeps his body relaxed (+10% Eggsquirt).

With Dagoba fast asleep, Eggsquirt has nill to worry about. His ears ring harshly however as the cleffa begins snoring so loudly that no one in a twenty-foot radius can even think (-5% Eggsquirt). But when the snoring ceases, Eggsquirt claps his hangs together, firing off another tri-elemental attack (-3% + -3% + -3% Dagoba; -8% Eggsquirt), forcing Dagoba to jolt out of slumber suddenly.

Dagoba, very groggily, focuses on the togepi and lifts him up with his thoughts. Eggsquirt, having been told to relax, is easily picked up and flung a few feet in the air before crashing into the grass below (-10% Eggsquirt; -8% Dagoba; +10% Eggsquirt). But Eggsquirt can't stay on the ground for very long, and Dagoba flings him into the air once again (-10% Eggsquirt; -8% Dagoba). Frustrated, Eggsquirt finishes off the cleffa with a final volley of ice, fire, and electricity (-3% + -3% + -2% Dagoba; -8% Eggsquirt), knocking the tiny pokemon out.

Victory is given to DarkestLight. The Green Lanturn will not be a gym leader today.
