Take New Super Mario Bros for the DS, make it 4 player, put it on the Wii, add in rankings, new costumes, and updated Graphics, and that be it.

Now we are on a Demo of Wii Sports Resort...

I would understand if it was something awesome like a new Mario 3D Game, but you are freaking out about a rehash of a game already out.

Edit: NOW THAT! Is something to get excited about.

So that's like what 4 new Mario games announced? New Super Mario Bros Wii, Mario and Luigi, Mario vs DK DSiWare, and Mario Galaxy 2! New Golden Sun! New Metroid! Nintendo definitely has me more excited than I have been for them since the Wii first came out.

I liked the cooperative/competitive nature of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure, so I'm liking that that's come to a Mario game.

Also, as much as I knew there wasn't going to be a HG/SS announcement, I was still holding out hope that I would be proven wrong and there would be a little something on it announced, but alas no. I guess that confirms a 2010 international release for those games.

Also, someone on SMG2's wiki page has a sense of humour:

"...a drill that Mario can carry, allowing him to drill through dirt surfaces and entire planets, accessing new areas or attacking a boss's weakpoint for massive damage"

Lemme guess. At least half of them are Purple Coin Stars: one in Toy Time Galaxy, one in Dreadnought Galaxy, and another in Battlerock Galaxy. One might be the Daredevil Star in Ghostly Galaxy, Deep Dark Galaxy or Melty Molten Galaxy; and at least one Cosmic Race because Cosmic Luigi is an ass.

An RE game for the Wii. And you can watch replays of the press conferences on Gamespot.

Alas, no price drop for PS3. Really, what is Sony thinking? And that PSP Go, a.k.a Worst Kept Secret at E3, is going to be at the same price as the starting price of the original PSP. Too bad, I actually want to get a PS3 now so I can play that upcoming Ratchet and Clank, as well as God of War III. Oh well, get an original PSP, download FF7, and I'll be happy.

Oh, and Team Ninja doing Metroid? So unexpected. In a good way.

The next Zelda game will likely feature WiiMotionPlus control, might see a 2010 release. I've also been hearing that it'll be starring a Twilight Princess-style older Link. Mario, Metriod, now Zelda. This has been an awesome E3.

    In no particular order:

    -New Super Mario Bros. Wii
    -Mario & Luigi 3: Bowser's Inside Story
    -Super Mario Galaxy 2
    -Golden Sun DS
    -Metroid: Other M
    -Silent Hill: Shattered Memories
    -Resident Evil Darkside
    -The Conduit
-Wii Sports Resort (Yeah, that's right. Say something, smartass. I dare you.)

Also, since I missed Sony's conference:

    New Super Mario Bros. Wii

I'm actually pretty stoked about this one. Me and my brother will occasionally play Super Mario World on the SNES, and when I told him about this we got exited at the prospect of actually playing side-by-side instead of alternating.

Also exited over Mario Galaxy 2, Metriod Other M (wasn't a fan of the Prime trilogy, but this one intrigues me), and Wii Sports resort, but the Co-op play in NSMB Wii has me completely sold.

    Edit:

Oh yeah, direct upload of photos to Facebook, and FlipNote Studio have reinforced my desire to buy a DSi when I get the cash.

Also the announcement of a realistic-style Zelda on Wii with possible WM+ control has left me feeling as giddy as a tween girl at a Jonas Brothers concert.

For me it's the Mario Games, Golden Sun DS, The Last Guardian (PUPPY!), and Wii Fit Plus.

...That's right, I said Wii Fit Plus. Big whoop, wanna fight about it?

Oh, and kart racing game Ryan was talking about. To clarify, Blademaster, they showed off the ability to make tracks from the ground up. They made terrain, including lakes and raised the water level (accidentally flooding the whole course). They added the weapons where they wanted them, changed the position of the sun, and even dumped sheep on the road.

EDIT: And Assassin's Creed 2. You get inventions from freaking D'Vinci. Awesome.

ALL are purple Stars. I know that. And I know that one is that STUPID stage where you have to run across Mario who is made of tiles and collect coins, and get the star-but every tile you touch disappears. My god annoying.

X Box technically doesn't have a new Waggle Controller, it's more like a suped up Eye Toy

Either way for both of them I think it is a waste of money and time. The road of the Game Industry is paved with the stupidity of add ons to consoles that failed. All three companies have them, Nintendo does, Sony does, and Microsoft does. ( Its funny, all three companies also showed off a add on at E3 which will fail ) Until these companies realize that developers will not utilize these things unless they come packaged with the original console. We will continue to be given these failed inventions that are supported by a handful of games and nothing else.

This awesome Nintendo stuff does SO makes up for tween and all that horrible shit I had to listen too >w<

Oley! And Sony was sorta better than last year. I'm kinda bummed about somethings, as far as Sony goes. But- Waggle equals fail as far as I'm concerned for the PS3. When I sit down to a playstation, I want sleak, simply, controls. If I want waggle, I'll play the Wii...or the Dreamcast.

My thoughts on the new add-ons showed off.

Wii Vitality Sensor: Likely won't have many applications outside a future Wii Fit game or something similar. Will probably flop.

PSWiimote (did they even give an official name for the thing?): It has potential. Nintendo has already proven that this kind of thing works, so developers might be more interested in making games for it and gamers might be more interested in buying it. The only thing is that WiiMotionPlus will be out well before it, so by the time it comes out, it won't be enough of a step up from Nintendo for people to adopt it over the Wii, which has wider brand recognition.

WiiMotionPlus: Has the best chance IMO. It's being packaged with at least three different games, so there's going to be a decent install base for it and therefore developers will be more willing to develop games for it.

Project Natal: Easily the biggest joke of E3. The stuff Microsoft is proposing here has been tried countless times before (you're the controller, and a pioneer of the interactive frontier!) Also, it's been pointed out that the actual demonstration of this thing showed that it was glitchy as all get out. Then there's the question of if Xbox's fans will pick this up. Most of them play FPSes and racing games, both genres pretty much require you to have something in your hands (it was hard enough getting used to the Wii wheel, I can't imaging trying to simply hold my hands as if they were grabbing a wheel). Sony said it best, "some experiences require buttons".

Honestly I think Xbox thing is pretty cool in concept. It will never work they way they're projecting to so it will fail. I didn't see Sony's press conference so I can't really comment on it. I will just say this I have no problem with motion control and waggle. I just have a problem with so few games using it in fun ways.

o.O What Waggle for DC? I dun remember any Sega System having waggle.

Anyway, yes that horrific stage Blade, and I hate that person but NOW I'm going to bet that stage and get to the last 5 stars.

I don't know abut that PSshakeandbake..I dun like the looks of it. But Microsoft is going the way of the Activator XD. I remember those days of Mortal Kombat witH that floor ring, and man, I kicked my TV so many times.

One thing I cant get about the Microsoft thing, is that even the most advanced MoCap tech right now requires hours and hours of ironing out. Even having hundreds of thousands of dollars of advanced cameras, a black leotard, and expensive motion balls, the mocap tech still gets it wrong many times and requires you to go in by hand and smooth it. For example during the Microsoft event when he was showing off the Avatar mimicking his movements, the Avatar's arms were swinging around wildly, going in inhuman directions, the same with the legs. That is standard for mocap technology.

Unless Microsoft is going to pack in a set of three hundred thousand dollar cameras, and a set of mocap balls, and have you playing in the room alone, with no other shiny objects, I really can't see how this will work.

Silly monkey game? You mean Samba de Amiga? Yeah, they had those maraca controllers. But I've seen videos of people beating fighting games using those silly motion controllers, and they weren't even used for them.
