The first thing you think when you see this pokemon is a cutegirl with green hair and a dress....so how the heck can there be male kirlias? Alas, there are, and because of this, Kirlia has two evolution paths, either into Gardevoir, or if you happen to get one of the strange males and a dawn stone, Gallade. Such a powerful psychic pokemon

#282 Gardevoir

One of my favorite pokemon. Gardevoir is known for protecting its trainer, the most famous example is the sickly Wally's Gardevoir who kept him safe during his pokemon journey in RSE. Even though a male Kirlia can evolve into Gallade, it's also possible for him to become a Gardevoir, which is odd considering the fact that Gardevoir is such a feminine-looking pokemon.

#283 Surskit

Possibly one of the weedest pokemon i have ever seen, It is basically a head on 4 skiiny legs so it can skim across the pond. But at least its evolution is fairly decent, other then that its mainly useless.

#284 Masquerain
A flying bug whose name is derived from "masquerade" and "rain", this winged insect oddly resembles a blue crobat. Used in the anime by the coordinator Drew, Masquerain was used primarily as an attacking pokemon in a doubles contest.

Fatass turnip looking Pokemon. Looks like a hulu dancing splotchy punk. What is it even supposed to be? An undergrown radish? I think Shroomish reacquainted me with hating the fact I needed to level 2 of these idiots to a high level in order to pass Spore on to a third one so I can have a Sporing....

286 BRELOOM
A TPMer named palamon used this Pokemon as an avatar. To me myself, it's one of those less-cool-looking Grass Types. It can, however, Dynamicpunch you into a confusion where you hurt yourself in your confusion.

287 Slakoth

Truely the laziest of all the pokemon so far, its ability even makes it slower then most pokemon. It looks pretty cool though and once it evolves it becomes bigger stronger and lazier.

#288 Vigaroth
Vigaroth is the exace opposite of both it's pre-evolution and evolution...it's fast and hyper (the suggested VIGOR of its name). Suddenly bleached white, this pokemon can attack, attack, attack. In the anime, it is used by Norman twice. First it defeats Pikachu, then it barely loses to it.

#289 Slaking

Slaking, much like the lowest form in its evolution chain, is lazy. Its ability, Truant, is one of only two abilities that actually hinder the pokemon holding them (the other is Regigigas's Slow Start). Because of this ability, Slaking can only attack every other turn, so its impressive attack stat goes to waste. If you put Slaking in a 2 vs 2 battle however, you can pair it with a pokemon using skill swap, which does two things: it frees Slaking of Truant, and Skill Swapping a second time with the opponent will turn Truant into a deadly weapon causing the opponent to attack every other turn!

#290 Nincada

Nincada is a ground-bug pokemon that is often looked down upon for being so small and typically weak. However, with an ability like compound eyes which raises accuracy and a wide range of attacks, this pokemon does make up for its pitiful appearance. It also the only pokemon that can evolve into two different forms simultaneously, shedding its old skin which becomes Shedinja and coming out as the speedy Ninjask.

291 NINJASK
Ninjask moves superfast and its Special Attack is good too. So, it's clearly not as balanced as Nincada's second evolution choice. Ninjask can naturally learn attacks such as X-Scizzor and Agility, showing its speed truly is superior to Shedinja, which will be described next.

292 Shedinja

Shedinja is a very awesome pokemon, its one of the first Bug/Ghost pokemon to grace the series. It looks much like the shell left over by a shedding Cicada with a halo on its head. Its in game ability makes it only hit by attacks which are effected by it.

293: Whismur

You know Whismur in the games is not bad. Its just annoying. But as it gets stronger, it can turn into a powerhouse. But still, ugly pink thing with floppy ears. Looks like a living piece of insulation really.

#294 Loudred

Whismur is known for being sensitive to sound, its evolved form, Loudred, is known for generating sound. This is shown by the fact that it can learn attacks such as Screech and Hyper Voice. Believe it or not, after it evolves, it gets even louder.

The pun for this name is obviously a combination between explode and loud which is what this Pokémon will do when in battle: explode out loud noises.

296 Makuhita

Makuhita is really just a fighting sack with a big smile which can deal a fair amount of damage. Not one of my personal favourites but it does seem it could be a well rounded big hitter and a good addition to any team.

#297 Hariyama

I always liked to call this guy "hairy armpits". Victory road was full of them in RSE. Nowadays if you want this big sumo wrestler-looking pokemon, you'll need to wait for the right day for Makuhita to swarm in route 225, catch one, then evolve it. If you're not that patient though, you can always transfer one from the old games.

298 AZURILL
Marill's baby form. Ther first baby Pokemon on RSE and also the first baby Pokemon of that series. Like most baby forms, if not all, correct me if I'm wrong, it evolves by leveling up with high friendship. So be friends with it!

299 Nosepass

Nosepass is quite an ugly pokemon, which I originally thought was a Steel pokemon but is infact Rock. Its evolution has a bigger nose and a weird looking red hat. Nosepass isn't really a pokemon who would be a good choice for any team.

300 Skitty

A cat-like Pokémon, it was one of few Pokémon to make it on a main character's team. A feat which shouldn't be underestimated, given the recent tendency to have main characters capture the same species. The on-show Skitty was very enamoured by its own tail, and it also likes to play with straws and balls held in front of it.

#301 Delcatty

Like Jigglypuff and Clefairy before it, Skitty evolves when exposed to a Moon Stone. Delcatty is what Skitty becomes. It's larger and has darker fur than its playful kitten-like preevolution.

My god Sableye got my hopes up. First Ghost/Dark Type?!! It was made of win for me, and then I got it and saw how mediocre they made him, but back in RSE Sableye with Recover, Ice Punch,Calm Mind and I think Faint Attack was made of pure win.

Design wise, its a hairless Gremlin, lol. Shiny eyes, pretty fun to RP. I dun care though, Ghost Dark is always gonna be an awesome combo. Now just fix its stats >>...

Mawile looks great. Perhaps the coolest-looking Pokemon in Hoenn. It is a Steel Type and it is able to Vice Grip and Spit Up. Awesome looks.

Possibly the cutest pokemon ever and is a close tie for my favourite pokemon from R/S/E. Aron is available early in the game as well as evolving into nice pokemon learning devastating moves while still keeping its awesome appearence.

305: Lairon

Aron's evo. I'll agree with Elf, its pretty cool. Learns some cool moves-but its still too slow for me. However, I will admit its a welcome change for early accessible Pokemon.

#306 Aggron

One of the coolest looking pokemon out there, Aggron is unfortunately dragged down by x4 weaknesses to two commonly used types. When I first saw Aggron's line I noticed that Lairon and Aggron looked like Rhyhorn and Rhydon respectively, so I thought that was hinting at a possible Rhyhorn prevo to mirror Aron. Turns out, come Gen 4, that line went in the other direction.

I asked a Toiminnanohjaaja (an epmoyee here in Mielikkitalo) in Mielikkitalo (a house for mental health recovers protecting from alienation) which Pokemon would she like and one of them she chose Meditite. Sievi-sama (name changed for privacy) looks like Zoey from the anime though.

For some reason, it looks like Princess Jasmine on acid, LSD and heroin all at once. It's the Amy Winehouse version of her, I guess, had too many Amy Winehouse fun packs and is now all tweaked out. Anyways, this pokemon will probably fuck you up if you fuck with it, but take a good look at it and ask yourself, can I really take a coked-out Princess Jasmine seriously... as a fighting pokemon? 309 Electrike

This has to be one wierd pokemon, it has a large long green head with yellow stripes. Once again it is another pokemon in the long line of single type electric pokemon. Thought Electrike might look wierd its evolution is much cooler.

#310 Manectric

Perhaps an even stanger looking pokemon, Manectric is a yellow and blue dog that looks like it got struck by lightning! An electric arcanine, Manectric is a purely electric pokemon that also has a couple of other attacks such as Fire and Ice Fangs.

One of the two "Pikachu imitation" Pokémon for generation three. Not really designed for competitive battling, but for the casual gamer. It's ability, Plus, is most effective only in Double Battles with it's counterpart Minun.

A Pichu look-alike with a blue minus on both its cheeks and tail, Minun is the other half of Plusle. Meant to used together, Minun is rarely seen by himself, even in the anime. Minun refers to the negative side of electric currents, just just as plusle refers to the positive, but that doesnt mean this is a negative pokemon

An awesome pokemon with an even more awesome shiny form. Tailglow is a very usable move, which kinda sucked in RSE 'cause he couldn't learn any decent sp.atks. With the DPP change, Volbeat is a lot more usable. It can even Baton Pass that wicked Tailglow. Look at it shine! It's a lovebug.

314 ILLUMISE
Yeah, Illumise is truly Volbeat's awesome total bitch. I had one of these when I played my Pokemon Ruby. Now I haven't played it for ages but the memory of this Pokemon and its Moonlight attack stays. Pokemon like this make me want to grab my Ruby once again some day.

This pokemon was sort of a write off in R/S/E but with the addition of a pretty shit pre-evolution and an awesome post evolution this pokemon suddenly became awesome. It doesn't look to bad but there is a lot of room for improvement in this pokemon.

This interesting Water/Dark Pokemon is based on piranha, an omnivore freshwater fish that live in South American rivers. Carvanha is dangerous because it can tear out boat hulls. 'Vanha' is also Finnish for 'old' but the joke doesn't work, sort of.

A large shark pokemon with one small body, two overly large fins, and a large set of teeth, Sharpedo is a dark/water type pokemon that is often a favorite of Team Aqua, which therefore makes it appear to always be a bad pokemon. Sharpedo does have a nice set of both dark and water type moves however, which makes it a desirable addition to any team
