Satoshi-tachi wa Yosuga Shiti e mukau tabi no tochuu, Zui Taun ni aru
Aoi no jikka no sodateya ni tachiyoru koto ni.
サトシたちはヨスガシティへ向かう旅の途中、ズイタウンにあるアオイの実家の
そだてやに立ち寄ることに。
On the way of travel heading to Hearthome City, Ash and friends decide
to stop by the Raising house of Aoi's parents' home which is in Solaceon
Town.

Soshite hisashiburi no saikai o yorokobu Satoshi-tachi wa, tabisaki de
kiita "Zui Taun ni Erimaki-kaibutsu ga arawareta!?" to iu uwasa ni tsuite
Aoi ni tazuneru to, sonna no wa tada no uwasa da to hitei sareru.
そして久しぶりの再会を喜ぶサトシたちは、旅先で聞いた「ズイタウンにエリマ
キ怪物が現れた！？」という噂についてアオイに尋ねると、そんなのはただの噂
だと否定される。
Then, Ash and friends, who rejoice the meeting again for a long time,
ask Aoi about a rumor saying "Erimaki-monster appreared in Solaceon Town!?"
which they heard at the journey end, she denies and says it's just a rumor.

Tokoro ga, Satoshi ga "Sore rashii kage o mori de mikaketa" to itta shunkan,
Aoi wa kyuuyou o omoidashita to soto e tobidashite itte shimau.
ところが、サトシが「それらしい影を森で見かけた」と言った瞬間、アオイは急
用を思い出したと外へ飛び出して行ってしまう。
However, at the moment Ash says "A shadow which looks like it appeared
in the forest", Aoi remembers an urgent business and rushes away outside.

Shinpai ni natta Satoshi-tachi ga ato o tsukete iku to, soko wa chiisa
na doukutsu no iriguchi de tatazumu Aoi no yagata.
心配になったサトシたちが後をつけていくと、そこは小さな洞窟の入り口で佇む
アオイの姿が。
Ash and friends, who became worried, follow the marks, and there is the
appearance of Aoi standing still at the gate of a small cave.

Douyara ryoushin ga fuzai no aida, Sodateya to shite Aoi ga makasarete
ita Pokemon ga kono doukutsu ni iru rashiku, sore ga uwasa no Erimaki-kaibutsu
to kankei ga aru rashii no da ga...kore 'tte ittai dou iu koto!?
どうやら両親が不在の間、そだてやとしてアオイが任されていたポケモンがこの
洞窟にいるらしく、それが噂のエリマキ怪物と関係があるらしいのだが・・・こ
れって一体どういうこと！？
Somehow or other, as the parents are absent, regarding to the Raising
house, the Pokemon entrusted on Aoi appear to be in this cave, it appears
to have a connection to the Erimaki-monster of rumors, but...what on earth
does this mean!?

The last sentence "What on earth does this mean!?" is a part of the English
translation, not my comment. I guess Aoi doesn't have an English name yet,
by the way.

Elite Four Ryou! The forest of meeting and parting!

Satoshi-tachi ga tabi no tochuu de tachiyotta machi ni wa, naniyara hitodakari
ga.
サトシたちが旅の途中で立ち寄った町には、なにやら人だかりが。
There is some growd in the town Ash and friends have stopped by in the middle
of their journey.

Nanto Shitennoo no Ryou ga koukairenshuu wo shite ita no da!
なんと四天王のリョウが公開練習をしていたのだ！
Somehow, Ryou of The Elite Four was doing public workout there!

Kengaku-nochi, hyon na koto kara Ryou no Toreeningu Sentaa ni manekareru
Satoshi-tachi.
見学後、ひょんなことからリョウのトレーニングセンターに招かれるサトシたち。
After an inspection, Ash and friends are invited from a strange reason to
Ryou's Training Center.

Soko de wa Mushi-Taipu no Pokemon-tachi ga yuuyuu to sugoshite ita.
そこでは虫タイプのポケモンたちが悠々と過ごしていた。
There, some Bug Type Pokemon are spending time quietly.

Sonna-chuu, Hikari ga mitsuketa ichimai no shashin.
そんな中、ヒカリが見つけた一枚の写真。
In the middle of things like that, Hikari finds one photograph.

Soko ni utte ita no wa, mada osanai Ryou to ippiki no "Imomushi-Pokemon"
Kemusso datta.
そこに写っていたのは、まだ幼いリョウと一匹の"いもむしポケモン"ケムッソだっ
た。
There was photographed a still very young Ryou and one Inomushi-Pokemon
Wrumple.

Sono Kemusso wa hajimete Ryou ga getto shita, shinyuu no you na Pokemon
datta to iu.
そのケムッソは初めてリョウがゲットした、親友のようなポケモンだったという。
That Wrumple was the first one caught by Ryou, and he says it's a Pokemon
like a close friend.

Shikashi, shuui wo miwatashite mo sorera shiki Kemusso no sugata wa nai.
しかし、周囲を見渡してもそれらしきケムッソの姿はない。
But even looking out over the surroundings, there's no a shape of Wrumple.

Doko ni itta no ka to tazuneta Satoshi ni taishite mo, kuchigomotte shimau

どこに行ったのかと尋ねたサトシに対しても、口ごもってしまうリョウ。
Facing Ash and others who asked where it has gone, Ryou ends up hesitating
to say.

Chanpion-Masutaa boueisen wo kansen suru tame, to aru Pokemon-Sentaa
ni tachiyotta Satoshi-tachi wa hisahsiburi ni Shinji to souguu.
チャンピオンマター防衛戦を観戦するため、とあるポケモンセンターに立ち寄っ
たサトシたちは久しぶりにシンジと遭遇。
In order to watch the Champion Master Defensive Battle, Ash and friends,
who have stopped by a Pokemon Center that is there, meet Shinji for a long
time.

Shikashi, Hikozaru wo meguru kouron ga hottan de futari wa batoru wo
suru koto ni!
しかし、ヒコザルをめぐる口論が発端で二人はバトルをすることに！
But the dispute rounding Chimchar begins and the two are going to battle!

Satoshi wa Shinji no "Oo-bosu-Pokemon" Donkarasu wo aite ni Naetoru de
idomu!
サトシはシンジの"おおボスポケモン"ドンカラスを相手にナエトルで挑む！
Ash challenges as an opponent Shinji's "Big Boss-Pokemon" Honchkrow with
Turtwig!

Iza Batoru ga hajimaru to, kyouryoku na Donkarasu no waza no mae ni,
jojo ni oitsumerarete shimau Satoshi-tachi.
いざバトルが始まると、強力なドンカラスのわざの前に、徐々に追い詰められて
しまうサトシたち。
Now when the battle begins, in front of Honchkrow's technique, Ash and friends
end up being driven to a wall little by little.

Sono toki, Donkarasu no kougeki wo uketa Naetoru ga, nanto Hayashigame
ni shinka!
そのとき、ドンカラスの攻撃を受けたナエトルが、なんとハヤシガメに進化！
At that time, Turtwig, who received Honchkrow's attack, somehow evolves
into Grotle!

Ikki ni kousei ni deyou to suru ga, Hayashigame ni izen no you na kire
ga nai tomadou.
一気に攻勢に出ようとするが、ハヤシガメに以前のようなキレがないと戸惑うサ
トシ。
At once, tries to comes forth in offensive, but Ash is perplexed by Grotle'
s KIRE which doesn't look like from before.

Da ga, sonna Hayashigame wo reisei ni mitsumeru Pokemon no sugata ga.
だが、そんなハヤシガメを冷静に見つめるポケモンの姿が。
So it is, but a shape of one Pokemon gazes Grotle in serenity.

Sore wa Shinji no Dodaitosu datta...
それはシンジのドダイトスだった・・・。
It was Shinji's Torterra...

A strange one, huh? I don't know what KIRE is. A Pokemon attack?

Ash was dissapointed and hindered because Turtwig's unusual speed wasn't present in Grotle - when it tried avoiding Honchkrow's attacks, it often stumbled and tripped over. So Ash is going to have to work on a new strategy for using his Grotle.

Satoshi-tachi wa tsugi no Pokemon Kontesuto ga hirakareru Akebi Taun iki no fune ni notte ita.
サトシたちは次のポケモンコンテストが開かれるアケビタウン行きの船に乗っていた。
Ash and friends had boarded a ship that goes to Akebi Town, where the next Pokemon Contest will be opened.

Sennai de asobu Potchama to Pikachuu.
船内で遊ぶポッチャマとピカチュウ。
On board of the ship, Piplup and Pikachu are playing.

Da ga, Satoshi-tachi ga sukoshi me o hanshita geki ni, sennai ni shinobikonde ita Roketto-Dan ni tsuresararete shimatta!
だが、サトシたちが少し目を離した隙に、船内に忍び込んでいたロケット団に連れ去られてしまっ た！
But, when Ash and friends take their eyes off for a while, they are kidnapped by Team Rocket, who had crept in aboard!

[Ii kanji…!] to nigesaru Roketto-Dan datta ga, totsuzen umi ga are hajime Pikahcuu-tachi ni nigesarete shimau!
「いい感じ～！」と逃げ去るロケット団だったが、突然、海が荒れはじめピカチュウたちに逃げら れてしまう！
Team Rocket escaped yelling “Feels good!” but suddenly the sea gets stormy and Pikachu and others disappear!

Sonna Pikahcuu-tachi ga nagaretsuita no wa, to aru mujintou.
そんなピカチュウたちが流れ着いたのは、とある無人島。
Where Pikachu and others are washed ashore, it’s an unpopulated island.

Satoshi-tachi no gen ni narou to funtou suru Pikachuu-tachi.
サトシたちの元に戻ろうと奮闘するピカチュウたち。
Pikachu and others struggle hard trying to return to Ash and friends.

Suru to, nani yara isshoukenmei ni shima no Pokemon-tachi ga iwa o hakobu sugata o mikakeru!
すると、なにやら一生懸命に島のポケモンたちが岩を運ぶ姿を見かける！
Thereupon, they notice the shape of Pokemon on the island removing a rock somehow with all their might !

Ato o tsuite iku to, soko ni wa fushigi na Mayu to sore ni hannou suru takusan no iwa ga…kono Mayu no shoutai to wa ittai!?
後をついていくと、そこには不思議なマユとそれに反応する沢山の岩が・・・このマユの正体とは 一体！？
They follow the tracks, and there are lots of rocks responding a wonderful Mayu…what is this Mayu’s true character?

Soshite Pikachuu-tachi wa buji Satoshi-tachi no moto e modoreru no ka?

そこで久々にノゾミと合流することに。
Then, they reunite with Zoey for a long time.

Sono toki, Satoshi-tachi megake [koori no tsubute] ga tonde kita!
その時、サトシたちめがけ『こおりのつぶて』が飛んできた！
At that moment, an Ice Shard flies aiming at Ash and friends!

Sono saki ni wa “Juhyou-Pokemon” Yukino-oo to, hitori no toreenaa no sugata ga!
その先には"じゅひょうポケモン"ユキノオーと、一人のトレーナーの姿が！
There's a figure of a “Frost Covered Tree” Pokemon, Abomasnow and one trainer!

Sono joutai wa, Kissaki Jimu Jimu-Riidaa no Suzuna datta!
その正体は、キッサキジム・ジムリーダーのスズナだった！
The true character of that, was Snowpoint Gym’s Gym Leader Candice!

Tearai kangei wo uketa Satoshi-tachi.
手荒い歓迎を受けたサトシたち。
Ash and friends received a rough welcome.

Shikashi Suzuna-ryuu no aisatsu to wakari, sono mama machi wo annai shite morau koto ni sonna Satsohi-tachi ga tsurete korareta no wa Toreenaazu Sukuuru.
しかしスズナ流の挨拶と分かり、そのまま町を案内してもらうことにそんなサトシたちが連れてこられたのはト レーナーズスクール。
But understanding the greeting in Candice’s style, as it is, Ash and friends, who are getting a guiding through the town, come to Trainer’s School.

Nanto Suzuna wa soko de sensei wo yatte iru no da to iu!
なんとスズナはそこで先生をやっているのだという！
Somehow, Candice says she is a teacher there!

Jimu-Riidaa no suru jugyou ni kyoumishinshin no Satoshi-tachi.
ジムリーダーのする授業に興味津々のサトシたち。
Ash and friends are very interested in the lessons a Gym Leader holds.

Da ga, hajimatta no wa Pokemon haya oshi kuizu!
だが、始まったのはポケモン早押しクイズ！
So, now it’s a pressuring Pokemon quiz!

Odoroku Satsohi-tachi datta ga, jitsu wa kono kuizu ni wa himitsu ga atta…
驚くサトシたちだったが、実はこのクイズには秘密があった・・・。
Ash and friends are surprised, but actually there’s a secret in this quiz…

Shinji to no Furu-Batoru no yakusoku wo hatasu tame, kono chi ni ori-tatta Satoshi-tachi.
シンジとのフルバトルの約束を果たすため、この地に降り立ったサトシたち。
In order to carry out the promise to Full Battle with Paul, Ash and friends have got down into this ground.

Pokemon-Toreeenaa to shite taishouteki na futari ga tsui ni gekitotsu suru.
ポケモントレーナーとして対照的な二人がついに激突する。
The two, who are training Pokemon in contrastive ways, finally are clashing.

Futari no Furu-Batoru wa, ryuusha no ikioi sono mama ni butsukari-au ka to omowareta.
二人のフルバトルは、両者の勢いそのままにぶつかり合うかと思われた。
The Full Battle of the pair is thought whether or not it clashes together as it is.

Da ga, Shinji hatomokaku Satoshi made, reisei ni aite no Pokemon wo mikiwame, koutai wo katsuyou suru to iu igai na tenkai wo miseru.
だが、シンジはともかくサトシまで、冷静に相手のポケモンを見極め、交代を活用するという意外な展開を見せ る。
So it is, but not to mention Paul, who, to Ash, calmly ascertains the companion's Pokemon, says he uses substitution practically shows surprising development.

Batoru ga ugoita no wa Satoshi no Hayashigame ga Shinji no Donkarasu to Taiji shita shunkan datta.
バトルが動いたのはサトシのハヤシガメがシンジのドンカラスと対峙した瞬間だった。
The moment when Ash's Hayashigame confronts Paul’s Honchkrow was what moved the battle.

Izen, Naetoru kara shinka shita toki ni te mo ashi mo nakatta Donkarasu wo me no mae ni shite, Hayashigame no toushi ni rekka no gotoki honou ga tomoru! Shinji to Satoshi.
以前、ナエトルから進化した時に手も足も出なかったドンカラスを目の前にして、ハヤシガメの闘志に烈火のご とき炎が灯る！シンジとサトシ。
Before, Honchkrow wasn't able to do a thing when Naetoru evolves in font of the eyes into Hayashigame's raging fire in the fighting spirit is the same as lit! Paul and Ash.

シンジとサトシ。互いの信念がぶつかり合うフルバトル！
Paul and Ash. A Full Battle where the mutual convictions crash!

Taoreta Pokemon wa ryuusha ittai zutsu de mukaeta kyokumen de Shinji no Buubaan to taiji suru no wa, Satoshi no saikou no aibou Pikachuu.
倒れたポケモンは両者一体ずつで迎えた局面でシンジのブーバーンと対峙するのは、サトシの最高の相棒ピカチ ュウ。
In the situation, where both of the pair have fainted Pokemon, what’s confronting Paul’s Magmortar is Ash’s highest partner Pikachu.

Kore made mo kazukazu no pinchi wo, shinjiru chikara de norikoete kita Satoshi to Pikachuu wa, attouteki na pawaa wo hokoru Buubaan ni mo kakan ni idomu!
これまでも数々のピンチを、信じる力で乗り越えてきたサトシとピカチュウは、圧倒 的なパワーを誇るブーバーンにも果敢に挑む！
Pikachu anjd Ash, who have surmounted many pinches with its confident strength so far, challenge also Magmortar which is overwhelming with power!

Kono Satoshi no sutairu wo hitei shi-tsuzukete kita Shinji.
このサトシのスタイルを否定し続けてきたシンジ。
Paul has come to oppose this style of Ash’s.

Da ga, sono Shinji no me no mae de Satoshi to Pokemon-tachi to no kizuna ga kiseki wo okosu!
だが、そのシンジの目の前でサトシとポケモンたちとの絆が奇跡を起こす！
But, the bonds of Ash and Pokemon are awaking a miracle before those Paul’s eyes!

Batoru shuuban, Shinji no Ringuma wo Satoshi no Hikozaru ga taoshita toki datta.
バトル終盤、シンジのリングマをサトシのヒコザルが倒したときだった。
The final stage of the battle, the time came that Ash’s Chimchar had beaten Paul’s Ursaring.

Satoshi no shinrai ni irae, sokojikara wo hakkishita Hikozaru ni ihen ga!
サトシの信頼に応え、底力を発揮したヒコザルに異変が！
The result of Ash’s trust, an accident to Chimchar who has showed its reserve strength!

Kore wa machika… Raibaru-Batoru tsui ni ketchaku! Ketsumatsu wa ika ni!
これはまさ か・・・。ライバルバトルついに決着！結末はいかに！
As for this, by no means… The Rival Battle concludes finally! How will it end!

Shinji to Furu-Batoru ni yabureta Satoshi wa, kizutsuita Pokemon-tachi wo iyasu tame Pokemon Sentaa ni tachiyoru.
シンジとのフルバトルに敗れたサトシは、傷ついたポケモンたちを癒すためポケモンセンターに立 ち寄る。
Ash, who was defeated in the Full Battle with Paul, stops in a Pokemon Center in order to heal the wounded Pokemon.

Shinji ni maketa koto, kega ni kurushimu nakama-tachi no sugata, samazama na omoi ga Satoshi wo kurushimete ita.
シンジに負けたこと、怪我に苦しむ仲間たちの姿、様々な思いがサトシを苦しめていた。
Having lost to Paul, the figure of the fellows who suffer from injuries, Ash suffers from various thoughts.

Sonna Satoshi no sugata wo mita Hikari wa, Pocchama to sakusen wo neri, Satoshi wo genki tsukeru tame kodou wo kaishi suru.
そんなサトシの姿を見たヒカリは、ポッチャマと作戦を練り、サトシを元気付けるため行動を開始 する。
Dawn, who saw this kind of figure of Ash, works over strategy with Piplup, begins action to cheer up Ash.

Ippou, kizutsuita Pokemon-tachi no chiryuu wo tsudukeru Jooi wo tetsudatte ita Takeshi wa, Dameeji no ookikatta Moukazaru no tame ni, kinomi wo sagashi ni iku koto ni.
一方、傷ついたポケモンたちの治療を続けるジョーイを手伝っていたタケシは、ダメージの大きかったモウカザ ルのために、きのみを探しに行くことに。
On the other hand, Brock, who was helping Nurse Joy who continues medical treatment of the injured Pokemon, decides to go to search fruits for Monferno whose damage was big.

Takeshi ga tadoritsuita no wa Eichi kohan.
タケシが辿り着いたのはエイチ湖畔。
Brock has arrived to the lake shore of Acuity.

Soko de me ni shita no wa, nanto komenjou wo tadayou densetsu no Pokemon Yukushii kage datta!
そこで目にしたのは、なんと湖面上をただよう伝説のポケモン・ユクシーの影だった！
There, what came to his eyes, was the shadow of the legendary Pokemon Uxie drifting along the lake surface!

Suiren Taun he mukete tabi o tsudukeru Satoshi-tachi.
スイレンタウンへ向けて旅を続けるサトシたち。
Ash and friends continue the journey heading to Waterlily Town.

Hikari wa kotensuto he mukete Manmuu to renshuu ni hagende ita.
ヒカリはコンテストへ向けてマンムーと練習に励んでいた。
Dawn is heading for the contest and is endeavouring in practice with Mamoswine.

Da ga, waza wo bakaseru koto ni narete inai Manmuu wa shippai bakari.
だが、わざを魅せることに慣れていないマンムーは 失敗ばかり。
But, Mamoswine, whose technique isn't accustomed to be confused, nothing but fails.

Shimai ni wa, sunete mori no naka he to itte shimatta!
しまいには、すねて森の中へと入って行ってしまった！
At the end, sulking, it went in the middle of a forest!

Isoide oikakete kita Hikari ni settoku sare, minna no moto ni modorou to shita sono toki!
急いで追いかけてきたヒカリに説得され、みんなの元に戻ろうとしたその時！
Being busy to run after, Dawn is persuaded, and going to return everything to normal that time!

Kusamura no kata de nanika ga ugoku oto ga.
草むらの方で 何かが動く音が。
There is a voice of something moving towards the clump of bushes.

Keikai suru Manmuu to Hikari.
警戒するマンムーとヒカリ。
Mamoswine and Dawn are cautious.

Suru to totsuzen me no mae ni "Tsuru-jou Pokemon" Mojanbo ga araware, [Suitoru] de kougeki wo shikakete kita!
すると突然目の前に"ツルじょうポケモン"モジャンボが現れ、『すいとる』で攻撃を仕掛けてき た！
Thereupon, suddenly before their eyes, "Tsuru-jou Pokemon" Tangrowth appeared, and commenced [Absorb] attack!

Pawaa wo ubaware ugokenakunaru Manmuu.
パワーを奪われ動けなくなるマンムー。
Mamoswine can’t move having stolen of its power.

Da ga, soko ni Mojanbo ga chikaduite kite, nazeka pawaa wo kaifuku suru Obon Nomi wo oite itta!
だが、そこにモジャンボが近づいてきて、なぜかパワーを回復するオボンのみを置いていった！
But then, Mamoswine comes near that place, for some reason, recovering Sitrus Berry has been placed!

Ubatte oite kaifuku saseru.
奪っておいて回復させる。
It is snatched and may recover.

Korette ittai dou iu koto!?
これって一体どういうこと！？
What in the world does this mean!?
