Grand Festival!!!
*Fanfare plays*
Here we are everyone! The Epic stage that all Coordinators aspire for-the Grand Festival. We have quite a turn out this time; as well as an array of contests for them to test their mettle against each other.
I'll be reffing from atop this awesome floating flying disc so I can skim from arena to arena, keeping tabs on how things are working out. As for now, this is the Standard Arena! Lets make it happen out there!
Oh, big news.
#1: Chris 2.1 and Tux, Empoleon
Aqua Ring~Aqua Jet~Shadow Claw
The world renowned Chris 2.1 takes the spotlight and starts off this Festival-I already have high hopes for everyone here now. Tux waddles out by his side and begins. Extending his wings, Tux spins about and creates a watery ring around himself that levitates with him like a self revolving hula hoop. The aquatic bird then jets up, water trailing from both the ring and his arms.
Coming back down the way he came, Tux spins again, this time his wingtips are crackling with purplish energy. As he rotates through the water, he cuts through it, purple streaks weave themselves through the watery veil. People applaud as Tux lands!
#2: Dragonis and Sasuke
Hi Jump Kick~Blaze Kick~Earthquake
And next comes another strong contender! Sasuke seems eager to show off his stuff, and does so with a mightly Hi Jump Kick as soon as he runs in. Reaching the apex of his jump, his stretchy leg comes back and aligns itself toward the ground.
Pushing forward, the extended foot comes alive with fire, and Sasuke blazes downward. The powerful foot strikes the ground and causes a tremor to be released that even makes the crowd ground surf a tad. People applaud, and Sasuke bows before heading off.
#3: Green Lanturn and Chaka
Double Team~Light Screen~Psybeam
Next comes Chaka, a small lil Mime Jr, with big prospects here. Chaka stands in the center and begins dancing about in a circle. However, at certain points in his dance, a clone pops out from his side. When his dance is done, there are 5 Jr's, standing in a pentagon shape.
They all stop mimimg about and turn serious, each acting as if there is a wall blocking them from gtting closer to each other. The audience though notes that Light is bending weird around the Jr's-and its shown on the overhead monitors there are LightScreens up. Satisfied with the screens, the Jr's enact as if they're trying to break the panes, by firing off Psybeam. The beams do collide and refract perfect, creating a star shape that's very alluring, prismatic and intricate. Applause and Chak bows, clones evaporating.
#4: Houndoom Lover and Baron
Aqua Jet~Double Team~Hydro Pump
Yes yes, a fish is next. Flopping about, Baron..whao! Shot right past me and is heading straight for the crowd! It looks like he's gonna crash right into the crowd..but he then splits into 4 in mid-flight!
The menacing maw of 4 Carvanah's coming at the audience kinda freaked a few people out, but the thunderous blast of Water from "4" Hydro Pumps shocked some even more. As the waterfell off the barrier, people watched the fished all flip backwards and land together as one. Everyone clapped and cheered.
#5: Rossymore and Eifie
Psychic~Light Screen~Signal Beam
DJ QS. Dim the lights.....
Yes..alright now. As the arena loses some visibility, Eifei shines ont to stage. She jumps and instead of coming back down, stays aloft using a perful Psychic ability. Whilst in the air now, She creates a few Light Screens of her own, that begin to rotate as well as revolve around her.
Seeing as she's above the Light Screens and they're all slanted towards her, she then fires two sets of Signal Beams, one for each Screen. The Beams twilrl around each other and hit each screen, bouncing back up past Eifie and onto the ceiling, exploding into a briliant set of Red and Blue and Purple magic. The Screens also help the audience see a greater array of colors due to refeaction.
She lowers back down, and the lights go up. People clap loudly, they're likeing this Festival folks n_n.
#6: Chaos redefined and Aerodactyl
Ancient Power~Steel Wing~Iron Tail
Last but not least in the slightest, is Chaos. An Aerodactyl takes to the sky immediatly, and circles the crowd once before roaring, forcing Rocks of a sizeable nature to fly up. Speeding up, Aero flies under then and surges through the first one with his Right Steeled voer WIng.
The Second one is caught up to and Karate Chopped with his Left Steeled Wing.
Shooting off once more, as the Final Rock reached its apex, Aero completed a aerial backflip so his Iron tail would slam over the top of the rock and split it in two! He then fell with the split rocks, slowing his fall and landing gracefully whle the rocks fell with a crash. The audience approves and give everyone a standing applause.
That's round 1!!
~~Scores~~
#1) Chris and Tux
Score: 8.8/10
This is going to be a tough contest. Nice effect with the water-having the claws cut through the droplets...everything. Just a very clean and well thought out appeal..great start!
#2) Drag and Sasuke
Score: 9.0/10
Just comes out hitting hard. The one-two kick combo was amazing, and Hitmonlees are good at it. But the landing with the controlled Earthquake was awesome, even got the crowd to ride a wave. Good push there Drag!
#3) Green and Chaka
Score: 9.0/10
Light games are always good, and the intricate nature of yours was fun. The little dance at the beginning too was priceless. Best thing about it-it didn't take long to set up, making it seem very clean. Great Job.
#4) Houndy and Baron
Score: 9.3/10
That was great. It wasn't flashy. It was raw. Carvanah are raw. Straight power, really fast and fearsome. It was like a wet an wild water safari ride for the audience-which is why I think they enjoyed it that much. I like the effect of a pack of pirahnas there, so crazy!
#5) Rossy and Eifei
Score: 9.0/10
The light games are never ending. Though this seemed similar to Lanturns, you did two major things different. First off, you dimmed the lights to enhance the glowing effect. Second, you kept eveything dynamic-moving Screens, two tone beams, even Eifei was rotating. That's the main basis for why you kept the audiences' interest, otherwise they would felt like they saw it before.
#6) Chaos and Aero
Score: 8.6/10
Chaos. I'm....in awe right now. It was simple. Clean. Yet just watching an Aero break through rocks with that Steel laden Combo was pretty awesome. I'm not worried-that wa a great start for you.
End Notes
Everyone, great job so far. Seriously. This is only the first round and every appeal was already very well played. You can post your second rounds up!
Oh and uhh..I had a change of heart once I read though all these awesome appeals. Since we only have 6 people in this, I'm gonna change this one to an Accumulation Challenge. That good with everyone? So lets see the awesome!!!!
