    Awww, yeah, I'm feeling it now! We're back in this, baby!

    Basawe

    "BASAWE BEAM!!!!!"

    An immense beam of light slammed into Kados, detonating with all the power of a minature atomic bomb. Basawe stood with his hands out, panting from the exertion of pouring out all his energy into another attack so quickly. When the smoke cleared...

    There he was. Kados, a bit scuffed and burnt in spots, but otherwise none the worse than before.

    "Nice shot, little guy." Kados said with a grin, wisps of smoke escaping from between his teeth. "But I'm still on my feet. Now..."

    He grabbed Basawe in his massive hands.

    "Tell me where the Dragonballs are, or else!"

    "OK, OK!" Basawe yelped, the huge hands squeezing his ribcage dangerously hard. "Get your brother down here so I can tell you both at the same time!"

    Kados dropped Basawe like a ragdoll.

    Then, he stepped on the poor Saiyan.

    "KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!"

    If any windows, streetlights, or drinking glasses in the area remained intact from Zaito's incredible attack, Kados's booming voicesurely put them out of their misery with his supersonic voice. Basawe barely managed to cover his ears in time to save them from any permanent damage, and even then he could still feel a small trickle of blood coming out of one of them.

    A few seconds later, Kamo crash-landed not twenty feet away, his broad feet leaving huge holes in the asphalt.

    "What's up, brother?" he asked, not seeming to notice what Kados was standing on.

    Until Kados stepped aside and picked Basawe up by his leg.

    "This guy made me take a test to find out where the Dragonballs are!" Kados explained proudly. "And I passed! So now he's gonna tell us!"

    Kamo grinned.

    "Great work, bro!" he applauded, grabbing Basawe and setting him on his feet. "OK, test man, tell us where the Dragonballs are! Before we beat the answer outta you!"

    Basawe had to make up something and fast or these lumbering oafs would tear him limb from limb.

    Just then, as though through a miracle, something exploded far in the distance. A great dome of energy blanketed a vast expanse somewhere beyond the forest, then vanished... Basawe instantly recognized the power source on his scouter.

    'Retasu...'

    "What was that?!" Kados barked. "Did we do that, Kamo?"

    "I was just gonna ask you that."

    Basawe looked at the two aliens, then off into the distance.

    A cold smile crossed his face.

    "It was the Dragonballs!" he cried, feigning worry as best as he could. "That was the shrine where one of them was kept! Someone else must be after them!"

    "WHAT!??!!" Kamo barked.

    "Oh, no! What if they broke it!?" Kados added, wringing his hands with worry.

    "Then WE break THEM!" Kamo replied, jetting into the air towards the explosion. "Come on, bro!"

    "Yes, go and save the Dragonball!" Basawe urged. "Hurry, before it's too late!"

    "Uh, yeah!" Kados replied, zooming after his brother. "Right, OK! They'll regret messing with the Kwali brothers! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!"

    As the duo vanished from sight, Basawe turned his scouter towards the city, looking for Zaito. He finally located the human in a tall building that seemed to have a huge hole in the side of it - a hole made by his body slamming through it.

    "Zaito, are you alright?" he asked the battered fighter. "I got rid of those two idiots."

    Zaito just glared at Basawe, holding his black-and-red-stained shoulder.

    "...What's wrong?" Basawe asked.

    ---------------------------------------

    Self-imposed rule: No playing other characters for me. I assumed Zaito would be pissed that Basawe let the brothers get away, that he was a coward, that he let them go after their 'colleagues,' etc..

    Gav
    ----

    He watched as the two women flew off into the distance. He had always assumed his parents were just arrogant but apparently being plain rude was a Saiyan trait. For a moment he was tempted to follow them but something he had overheard made him pause. Just a single word in fact. Dragonball.

    He turned and began jogging in the direction of his home villiage, soon picking up speed and tearing across the countryside at speeds comparable to those that had taken to the air ealier and quickly covered the miles. He still wasnt sure why he hadnt mastered flight, a skill most, even humans, found quite simple he just knew that it was safer for him to stick to the floor. The further he travelled the more he thought that word over in his head, becoming more and more convinced that his hunch was right and as he finally approached the small villiage that was his home he was certain.

    Although he had never heard the term before something from his childhood came to mind. In the villiage where he grew up stood a shrine, and in that shrine was the form of a writhing dragon, hewn from the stone found in the local mountains some 40 years ago. Rhumour has it that when the stone block was worked on by the sculptor he uncovered a small Orb buried in the rock. Rather than remove it he chose to fashion the sculpture around it and that same Orb now rested upon the head of the Dragon, forming a third, central eye which watched over the villiage. Noone had ever worked out what the Orb was made from, at first it was said to have been a lifeless amber colour but as the years passed it began to grow more vibrant untill it shone a fierce Orange.

    It now shone with that same vibrant colour as he slowed, coming to a jog as he entered the outer gates and made his way into the cental square, skipping up the last few steps to stand before the Dragon. He stood staring at the orb a few seconds, its star shaped pupil staring back at him and he sighed the word again. Dragonball!

    "How right you are" spoke a deep, but proper voice from behind and he span quickly.

    Stood before him were two figures. Both were tall and wearing Saiyan armour but each wore what appeared to resemble a Trenchcoat over the top. The slightly taller of the two was quite lean, borderline plain skinny and his Skin was deathly pale. This was Contrasted by the deep black of his trenchcoat and the vision in monochrome was only broken by the great crest of bright orange hair fashioned into a rough mohawk that sat lopsided on his head. He wore the grin of a lunatic on his angular face with long pointed nose which Gavin thought reminded him of some predatory bird.

    "E's a clever one aint he!" he chuckled, his voice matching his Grin. "But not as clever as us two, aint that right Mr. Whyte?"

    His companion nodded. Though slightly shorter this one was much stockier and Gavin got the impression that his coat barely held under the stress from ropes of muscle beneath. This one seemed much more controlled, even snooty and Gavin was beginning to feel uncomfortable with this creature looking along the length of its stubby nose at him. Its skin was much Darker, borderline black while its eyes shone a deep red. The only thing that broke up its outline was the visible plates of Saiyan armour beneath the coat.

    "Quite right Mr Blaque" it spoke and Gavin knew this was the one that spoke first. "It seems the vast majority of this planets population appear quite ignorant of the Dragonballs existence however i summised that should we follow a suitable target, in this case one of the stronger fighters this planet has to offer like our friend here, then we would greatly increase our chances of success"

    "Worked like a charm" exclaimed the first one, nodding so hard Gavin half expected his mohawk to fall off.

    "Blacque and Whyte?" Gavin asked, his eyebrow raised in question. "Your kidding right?"

    The Stockier Mr Whyte cocked his head in puzzlement while Blaque simply stopped nodding and looked at his companion.

    "Why on earth does everyone keep saying that Mr Whyte?" he asked scratching his head in genuine contemplation.

    Mr Whyte simple shrugged and smiled at his friend. "I dont have the foggiest Mr Blaque, but perhaps thats a query for later, for now we should collect the Dragonball and be on our way"

    The two stepped forward and Gavin stepped towards them.

    "Oh come now" said Whyte as he saw Gav move. "There really is no need for an altercation" Blaque simply giggled to himself.

    "You want the Dragonball, you have to go through me" said Gav, hoping he really could stop them.

    Whyte sighed and looked at Blaque who had finally stopped giggling, his face suddenly becoming deadly serious.

    "Thats kinda the idea mate!"

    Im finally back. Sorry this took so long, had to do alot to motivate myself but i should be back from now on . This is going to be alot shorter and rushed than what i had planned but basically it was just alot of fight padding.

    ON WITH THE FIGHT! And, Gave has a Theme now! lol.

    Gav
    --------

    He almost didnt see it coming. A flashing image of a foot in the corner of his eye made him duck on reflex and jump back, hopefully out of range of a follow up attack. He dropped into a fighting stance and stared at Blaque who was just recovering his balance after missing with his kick.

    "He's a quick one!" He cackled before lunging again. This time Gav saw it coming and managed to get his hand up to block but was quickly pressed to deflect another strike, and another in quick succession. Gav knew he was fast but he was struggling to match the pace of his assailants attacks, nevermind launch an attack of his own and although there seemed to be little power behind them he could feel his forearms begin to sting from the rapid blows. He did his best to read Blaque's style, the way he moved and pressed the advantage never gave his opponent an inch of an opportunity but Gav could see one coming, there was only so long he could keep this up, already Gav could see the beads of sweat on his brow and soon he would have to break off for a moment, if Gav could strike then he may have a chance.

    'There!' Gav thuought, seeing his chance but before he could take a step forward Blaque vaulted clear into the air, a neat backflip, just high enough Gav noticed as he looked back down for Whyte to pass underneath, his fist cocked back before driving a punch towards him. The attack had been much slower than Blaque's shots but the element of surprise allowed it to connect. Gav was able to get his block up in time though the sheer force of the blow was phenominal. It drove him back, lifting him off his feet and forced a cry of pain as the guard was overwhelmed and he crumpled against a wall, barely concious from the single punch he fell in a heap, cracked and broken concrete from the wall falling around him.

    "Dont try to read us" said Whyte, smirking and stepping over to the broken form infront of him. "Do you think we dont know our own weaknesses?"
    He hoisted Gav by the throat, holding him effortlessly off the ground. Seemingly examining his face and he looked dissapointed as he saw Gav's eyes were struggling to focus.

    "And i had hoped for so much more." he sighed and looked at Blaque. "Mr. Blaque would you be so kind as to retrieve the Dragonball".

    Gavs groaned quietly as he heard the word Dragonball and Whyte smiled. "Well, it seems he's still with us after all".

    There was a crunging noise as Whyte put his fist easily through the head of the Dragon statue, retrieving the item encased within it and Gav groaned again, more a growl this time, his body tensing and a slight wind blew through the courtyard. Blaque raised an eyebrow and looked at the human he held by the throat.

    "Its all ours now, and soon our employer will combine it with the others..." he said, a theory foriming in his mind. "..and you will know that you failed"

    The courtyard was filled by a scream of emotion and Blaque struggled to keep his footing at the sudden explosion of power.

    "What the Bloody Hell!!!" exclaimed Whyte, knocked back by the explosive release.

    Blaque recovered himself quickly enough to look into Gavs face which was now staring back down at him. His eyes were still rolled back in his head but there was still a look of anger on his face. "Emotion responsive power levels..very rare..." Blaque mused calmly, "...or our boy here isnt as Human as we first thought, also rare for this planet. Either way...."

    He punctuated his sentence with another powerfull punch, straight into Gav's gut. The expression blanched and then faded, his eyes finally closing into full unconciousness.

    "...I believe we may have found something else of interest for our Employer" he finished, tossing the Gav's limp body across his shoulder and taking to the air.

    -------------------------------------
    Basically Gav has been kidnapped, As was said in the signup he's not quite human, somewhat of a scientific curiosity, Rothax is gonna experiment on him, unlock some of that extra power and Im gonna play a baddie for a bit lol. (Esentially its my way of keeping up with you guys that are in the training chamber without needing a training montage of my own lol)

    Wow, these things always seem longer when im writing them...

    I revoke my last post's rule. 'Cuz I do stuff like that.

    Brace for tl;dr.

    Basawe

    With Zaito gone, Shitagi and Basawe were left alone in West City (or at least the part of it that had become a battleground). Basawe turned the Dragonball over in his hands, partly out of nervousness and partly because he was deep in thought.

    "Shitagi," he said after a moment, handing the Dragonball back, "can you tell me more?"

    "More of what?" Shitagi replied. "Your new scouter?"

    "No. This Super Saiyan... Go-ku."

    "Oh. Well, he's one of my great grandparents. Like I said, he grew up thinking he was a human-"

    "Was he as strong as a human then?" Basawe interrupted.

    "Well... yes and no. Early in his life, when he was a kid, he was no stronger than a human child. But he was taught martial arts by one of the greatest martial artists that ever lived: Roshi. Good thing, too. Because of his possession of one of the Dragonballs, a lot of people didn't like Goku and either wanted him as a hostage or killed outright. None of them succeeded, obviously: Thanks to Roshi's teachings and his Saiyan blood, he became stronger than any human and beat all his enemies - the Red Ribbon Army and its Androids, the Blue Ribbon Army, Emperor Pilaf, and even the evil Namekian King, Piccolo."

    Basawe's head perked up at this. Humans weren't very strong, and he didn't know what these 'Androids' or 'Ribbon Armies' were, but a Namekian king?

    "How strong was the Namekian?" Basawe asked hopefully.

    "When Goku killed him, his power level was 260."

    Basawe's hope vanished instantly.

    "This great third level Super Saiyan had a power level of 260?" he asked, disappointment practically dripping off his words.

    "Hey, for a 13 year-old with no Saiyan training and no tail, 260 isn't a bad number. But it's when he got older that he REALLY became strong... He wasn't a Super Saiyan until his mid-20's, actually."

    "...Did you say no tail?" Hope was back in Basawe's voice - a different hope.

    Shitagi frowned.

    "Before Roshi took Goku in, he was raised by an adoptive grandfather named Gohan. One night, when Goku was exposed to the full moon's rays, he became an Oozaru and killed Gohan in a blind rampage. If it weren't for Roshi destroying the Moon, Goku might have killed him and the rest of the world as well..."

    "So the tail was removed after that... Wait, hold on. This 'Roshi'... DESTROYED the Moon? How in the galaxy did he do THAT?"

    "He used a beam attack. His strongest, and later Goku's strongest... The Kamehameha."

    "The... Kuh-may-uh-may-uh...?"

    "Kah-may-hah-may-hah." Shitagi corrected him. "It's a powerful move where the user summons all the ki in their body into a single point and then fires it as a massive beam."

    Basawe paused, then held his hands out at his sides, before putting them together, all 10 fingers side-by-side.

    "Like this?" he asked, the orange sphere of his Basawe Beam swelling up in front of his hands and flickering.

    Shitagi shook his head, smiling a bit.

    "No, you're not focusing your ki enough." he said, spreading his legs a bit and putting both his hands, cupped, by his right side. "You're just gathering it. You focus it, and it grows stronger. Plus you don't waste it all in one shot, so you can use it several times in a row if you have to. Watch."

    Shitagi's palms glowed a bright, blinding blue-white color; a ball of energy much smaller than Basawe's orange one swelled between his fingers.

    "KAAAAMEEEEEEEE..."

    Basawe let his energy ball vanish, his concentration broken by the sudden beeping of his scouter. His hand flew to it and hit the button reading Shitagi's power level.

    1292..... 1648..... 2094.....

    The white orb of energy in Shitagi's hands swelled until they filled his hands completely, then began to push them apart.

    "...HAAAAAAAAAMEEEEEEEEEEEEEE..."

    Basawe's eyes widened in shock; he uttered a choked gasp as his scouter continued to climb, it's readout DOUBLING and STILL going.

    2559..... 3185..... 3643.....

    Shitagi thrust his hands out.

    4000

    ...And the ball vanished.

    "HA!" Shitagi yelled, quickly and sharply, before turning back to Basawe. "You know what would have happened if I had launched that? THAT, my friend, is a Kamehameha."

    Basawe simply stared in shock and awe.

    "And... THAT was Goku's strongest attack?" he asked.

    "Not his strongest, but definitely his most famous. And that was a low-level Kamehameha. GOKU'S Kamehameha could probably blow up this entire solar system."

    "What?!"

    "Well, he WAS a Super Saiyan. I told you he got stronger than a power level of 260. He went through Hell, literally, training in conditions nobody else had ever trained in. He trained on different planets, in Hell itself, in gravitational fields hundreds of times as strong as our own... His power level wasn't measured in hundreds or thousands, Basawe. His power level was measured in millions."

    That settled it for Basawe. He wanted that type of power. He wanted that level of recognition. He didn't even need a tail. All he needed was the willpower. He was a Saiyan. Blutz cells weren't in his blood, but stubbornness was. He could become stronger than anyone on Ninjin, remain on Earth, and live in peace at last. Or he could return there and get revenge on the ones who antagonized and tortured him for so long... That Kamehameha was definitely powerful enough to destroy a planet...

    'No,' Basawe scolded himself, shaking his head. 'That'd make me no better than them.'

    "Basawe," Shitagi interrupted his thoughts, snapping Basawe back to attention, "is everything alright?"

    "Yes." Basawe replied. "Shitagi... Will you teach me the Kamehameha?"

    ---------------------------------------

    Time for Basawe to get an upgrade. If Shitagi says yes, that is...

    OOC: Since this seems to have slowly struggled back to it's feet......

    Name: Batuo (this is not his real name but a name bestowed upon him by the monks who first trained him)
    Race: appears human
    Age: appears to be in his mid twenties
    Gender: male
    Appearance: Batuo stands at a modest 5'10" in height. In the Shaolin tradition his head is shaved bald but he has a finely groomed mustache and goatee a dark reddish brown in color. He wears the traditional robes and attire of a Shaolin monk in orange with yellow and gray trimmings. His eyes when he shows them are a startlingly vibrant violet in color but typically he wears a bright orange blindfold.
    Personality: Batuo is a very quiet and confident individual. He considers his words very carefully and doesn't speak unless he believes it is necessary. He is kind and generous but vigilant about keeping secrets. He puts the safety of everyone else before his own.
    History: There is no known history of Batuo but his style and attire is very old and traditional suggesting he must have studied at an ancient and reclusive Shaolin monastery somewhere. He is not forthcoming about his past but remains perfectly polite to those who ask about it.
    Techniques: His speed and ki manipulation is unmatched. His ability to detect ki signatures and power levels far surpasses even the scouters. His physical strength is considerably lacking compared to other supreme fighters, however, he can direct his ki within his body both to project great force at the point of impact or to withstand even the most devastating of blows. Batuo is capable of copying almost any attack using ki once he has witnessed it and can also redirect and channel ki directed at him. His martial arts style is the traditional Shaolin style. Given enough time to study an opponent he can seal their ki at any of numerous pressure points and thus paralyze the body flowing out from that point with an extremely precise and perfectly timed strike (paralyzing from as much as a whole limb to as little as a couple of fingers depending on the pressure point).
    Relationships: none known
    Other: Batuo is blind but all of his other senses are supremely heightened as is his ability to 'see' by sensing ki.

    Batuo
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The strongest flower is often the one that knows how and when to bend
    For one such as him, it would have been impossible to miss the flaring of ki surrounding the tournament. The number of powerful entities that had decided to manifest their ki outside those grounds is what coerced him to action, however. It was simply inevitable that energies of that magnitude would cause damage and devastation on a wider scale. The risk to the innocent grew by the minute such entities roamed free and he could tell by the scattered confrontations that his first matter of course was to intercept the two nearly identical entities whom were leaving the now nearest city at speed. They seemed likely the most imminent threat to the innocents of the surrounding areas.
    Almost in the blink of an eye he appeared before them several miles outside the city. One hand behind his back, the other in front of him open palm in a meditative position in front of his face. The cloth of his blindfold where it tied at the back of his head swayed lightly in the breeze. The two brutes halted in mid-air to consider him for a moment.
    "I must ask that you leave this world and return whence you came immediately. Your manner of violence will not be tolerated," he spoke plainly and calmly.
    "Puny little blind man. You think you gonna stop the Kwali brothers?" one of them spoke with a guttural laugh.
    "If I must," Batuo replied while settling into a Shaolin stance.
    "Stupid human," the bigger of the two said.
    The bigger of the Kwali's simply thrust out a fist and a ball of ki energy sailed at Batuo. Not enough to destroy a truly trained fighter but enough to do some damage. Enough certainly to level a small building. As it reached him Batuo seemed to snatch it from the air in his open palm without so much as twitching. Pulling it back with the force of it and then twisting it between his hands he seemed to turn it to his will before thrusting his hands forward, sending the attack back at it's creator. The ki blast connected with a thunderous clap that sent the larger Kwali brother tumbling to the ground, scorched and bruised by his own attack.
    "I shall not issue further warning. Depart this world immediately or I shall be forced to remove you from it before you may cause harm," Batuo again said calmly as he resumed his stance.
