As far as science and exploration goes, we humans feel as though the world holds no more secrets from us. We have explored every possible location on this world, learnt how it works, and how some things came to be. We have explored the past, and seen things within the human body unheard of in years past. In this day and age, many believe that humans know everything there is to know about the world around us.

Those who believe that, know very little of what this world truly holds…

They fail to see beyond what most regular people see. They regard anything outside their way of thinking as nonsense, even to the point they ignore what is right in front of them. There is more to this world than what famous explorers have seen. Different places that cannot be accessed by normal means, only by ways that scientists would consider foolish make believe. And it simply does not stop with just these places alone. There’s also their inhabitants.

Demons…

Considered legend in ancient times, and now mere illusions today, Demons take many forms, inhabiting these strange worlds, and on very few occasions, even go to the plane that can be considered “Our world”. It was maybe these trips that caused them to be involved in human legend to begin with. Yet despite this, most people who happen to see these rare occurrences try to ignore it, fooling themselves into thinking they were hallucinating. Not only do they ignore what is in front of them, but they ignore the demons within their very soul. Beings made up of themselves, fragments of their souls that they hide away.

These demons are known as Personas

However, these demons aren’t doomed to stay dormant forever. There are people in this world who have discovered how to unlock these inner demons, to harness their power, whether for good or ill. Whether those who choose to ignore them know it or not, these people are the new heroes and villains of this word.

This is the story of the Personas, and those who wield them.

Megami Tensei: Inner Demons

Greetings and welcome. This is an RPG based on the Megami Tensei games. This isn’t based on one particular series of the games, but rather a mix of many of them, such as the Persona series, Nocturne, and the Kuzunoha Raido series.

In order to save space, information about this world this RPG takes place in, the personas, etc. has been written up in a glossary found here: http://www.pokemasters.net/forums/sh...090#post412090 (note, it will be edited as the RPG goes along)

Please, for now at least, the major antagonists will be NPCs, played by myself or anyone I choose who I feel will do a good job, please remember that.

I would appreciate it if skilled, dedicated Roleplayers joined this. This is an RPG I plan to keep going for a while (I’m not even sure when it will end), so I would really appreciate it if you would all help my keep this thing alive.

Name: Tenma Yochiro (last name, first name)
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance: he stands at five foot nine, with a slender build, a healthy complexion, and a thin face. He has dirty blonde hair tied back into a ponytail, with a couple of bangs at the front framing his face, and deep chocolate eyes. Normally he’s seen wearing a school uniform, though outside of school he wears a grey jacket (done up) with a white undershirt, black pants and matching shoes.
Personality: Tenma could be best summed up as a nerd. Highly intelligent, and usually fond of puzzles and games that require intellect, particularly chess. However, he’s not exactly the bravest individual, finding it hard to say no and will often fly rather than fight. As a result, it’s easy for people to use him. He’s a bit socially awkward as well.
Weapon: None.
History: In his school, Yochiro can be best summed up as a nerd. Often playing chess, studying and reading, the guy doesn’t have much of a social life. As a result, it’s kind of easy from someone to take advantage of the guy. Not really much to say about his past. His father is a business man, constantly on business trips and travelling the world (and there’s some suspicion he’s having an affair with his assistant). His mother as a result stays at home, and Yochiro spends most of his time helping her. As a result of this, he doesn’t really have much of a social life.

Persona
Name: Kuropawn
Appearance: Kuropawn can be best described as a black, androgenous suit of armour, with a small, red crest on the chest in the shape of a shield. The armour is not joined together, rather small gaps between each piece and appears as if some force is holding them in a humanoid shape. Its hands are enormous, almost like claws, and where is face should be is just a blank plate. It normally holds its hands in front of it, as if it’s covering or shielding itself.
Personality: It’s usually quiet, normally only speaking when spoken to, and even then, it says as little as possible. It’s voice is soft and hollow, and tends to refer to people as ‘liege’ or ‘Malady’, medieval terms.
Representation: He partiality represents Tenma’s fondness for chess, but his place as a pawn symbolises his feeling of ill worth about himself, plus how easy it is to take advantage of him.
Powers: Kuropawn’s powers seem to be more defence oriented. Whether it’s drawing attacks towards itself, raising protective shielding, or even reflecting attacks. However, it seems to have no offensive powers.
-Strength: It’s resistant towards physical attacks, and can absorb death based attacks no problem.
-Weakness: It’s quite vulnerable to life based attacks. Also, while it’s skilled at defending, its attack power is abysmal.

Thank you MC you just inspired me to start writing again . I know nothing of the games but i am interested in the plot/aspects involved here.

Name: Sakae (I suck at Surnames lol)
Age: 19
Gender: F (yus im playing one of those again)
Appearance: Quite tall at 5ft 8 she is slim but athletic (ie toned but not muscly). Has long red hair thats usually tied up in a pair of long pigtails (kinda like 2 ponytails???) and blue eyes. Her face is kind but generally stern. She dresses simply, usually just a plain black Tshirt and knee length jeans shorts. A simple pair of trainers on her feet.
Personality: Sakae is a quiet girl, not known by many other than her own close group that tend to revolve around the swordwork and the martial art shows she displays at. She loves the competition but doesnt have the enthusiasm she once had due to the fact some people associate her hobby as making her a 'tough unapproachable fighter' type person. This hurts more as she realises that although she can twirl a blade with the best of them its mostly for show and doesnt mean she could actually use a sword in a real fight.
Despite this she is still choosy with her friends. She doesnt put up with time wasters and those who mess her or her friends around and can be quite stern from time to time.
Weapon: Sword though she isnt a competent fighter, merely practices sword-kata for displays and excercise.
History: Comes from a strict and disciplined background. Both her parents are martial artists, meeting each other at a tournament, and run a Dojo, above which is where Sakae lives. It was only naturaly for her to take an interest however for her it was always the weapon disply teams that caught her interest. The flash of a swords blade or the slap of wood on skin from a staff. Other than that she leads a relatively normal, average life.

Name: U'zhul
Appearance: Standing just over 7ft tall U'hzhul's appearance is your typical Demonic nightmare. Blood red skin rippling over a slim but powerfull frame covered in brass armour across its chest, thighs, forarms, ankles and shoulders depicting leering skulls. His clawed hands hold a mighty, brass hilted sword, its blade dark as night but able to burst into flame at its wielders whim. Large black horns sprout from his temples framing an inhuman, almost canine-like face. he moves swiftly on reverse jointed knees and wears a large black cloak that billows behind him.
Personality: U'zhul is the living representation of battle and as such loves nothing more than a good fight. He is not a mindless bezerker however and abides by a very strict code of martial honour. Feels duty and honourbound to protect those that cannot protect themselves and despite his appearance and generally grumpy nature is a good being at heart.
Representation: Represents the Discipline she aquired in her sword training as well as the desire to be able to defend herself and others.
Powers: U'zhul is a master swordsman and is able to read almost any fighting style and find its weaknesses. In a 1v1 fight, the longer the fight goes on, the easier it will be for him to win. He is also able to infuse fire element abilities into his sword.
-Strength: Strong against anything that seeks to engage him in single combat.
-Weakness: Feels honour bound to challenge his foes to single combats. Doesnt work well in a team situation and struggles accepting help. Also his code of honour makes him fight fair and he is nieive enough to expect his opponents to always do the same. Has difficulty dealing with foe's that decline his challenge and try to engage him at range. (Basically he expects everyone to duel with him fairly and gets bent out of shape when they dont)

Name: Aido, Tikashi (last, first)
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance: Stands at about 5'11 with a muscualar build. Has short black hair that is spiked in every way possible from day to day. One day would be a simple wave in the front, the next day would be a feuhawk.(if that is how you spell it) He has strange violet colored irises, and dark skin. Wears all black clothing, weather it be sweat pants, shorts, a muscle shirt, or a colored shirt. Weirdly is always found barefoot, but somthing about him allows his feet to not be cold, not get too hot, and not get damaged. He found this out one day when his feet should have broken and started bleeding, but they didnt. It is clearly the work of his persona.
Personality: Is the guy out of the group that is quiet unless spoken to. He doesnt usually speak his opinion about things, and most of the time doesnt tell poeple what he is having trouble with. He is always willing to help someone out. He thins that speaking is a waste of time, and just takes to much energy. He cant stand poeple that are usaeless, loves a good fight,and dosnt like it when people back down out of challenges. On the outside he is usually calm and collected, but on the inside he is a party waiting to come out.
Weapon: Has two Violet colored knives. Sharp, stainless steel all the same.
History: Tikashi has hard a very hard life due to the fact that he was put straight into the orphanage ever since birth. Henever knew who his parent were even though he could recall memories from extremely early ages. He has always had a passion for the colors black and violet for some reason. He discovered what/who his persona was.is at an early age, who guided him into traveling on his own. is persona has become his best friend, has helped him steal food, find a good shelter every night, and win all of the fights he has been through.

Name: Catalina
Appearance: She looks exactly like a Night Elf Rouge straight out of WoW. For those that dont know much about WoW, she is a women elf, with deep violet skin and a long navy blue ponytail for a hairstyle. She is very beautiful, like a goddess. She is also very decieving, uses her beuty to trick people into their own doom. But never does this unless told.
Personality: Is quiet unless in the heat of battle, otherwise energetic. She is stubborn and doesnt do anything unless she is told. She has no morals, she will do basically anything, wich is a key factor that the host needs to be careful about, but se still follows her most important rule, to not do anything unless she is told. She was never a bad persona, justa mischeivious one.
Representation: The fact that she is quiet and only attacks when neccisary. Will refuse to fight unless told to. She is very calm, but energetic in the middle of battle. She is really nice, and the host can usually cometo her to talk about things.
Powers: Has the powers of death. Uses all kinds of weapons that she makes out of pure darkness. Carries two violet daggers, lethal, for they posion anything they touch.
-Strength: The ability to use many different kinds of weapons. Is very fast. I am serious, REALLY fast. Wise too.
-Weakness: Is VERY vulnerable to life attacks due to the fact that she has extra death abilities. She isnt very strong. She will sacrafice herself for her host, wich isnt very smart.

UC: Ah, interesting. The persona reminds me of some of the more physical oriented demons from Nocturne. Accepted.

Adrenaline: Not a bad character, though I'm not entirely sure about your persona. I'm not really sure what she's meant to represent about her host, but otherwise, not bad.

Name: Amaya, Misaki
Age: about 14
Gender: Female
Appearance: Like this, but with "XII" tattooed on the back of her right hand in black ink.
Personality: Fairly soft spoken, but direct, she makes friends easily, but this is in fact, completely hollow, lacking any empathy besides that which she might fake. She also displays artistic tendencies. She is however, quite determined to succeed in the world.
Weapon: No weapons, but she's skilled with pressure points.
History: Misaki was found, wandering naked in the rain at five years ago, bearing no memory of her past life, and was taken in by the Amaya family, she proved to be quite intelligent, with an artistic mind, but has recurring nightmares that she can never remember. Is currently about to start high school.

Name: Nyx
Appearance: A seven foot tall woman with skin the color of obsidian, shrouded in voluminous black robes, and wielding an ebon staff topped with an obsidian crystal that seems to suck in the light around it. As well, her very presence seems to chill the air.
Personality: Cold, unfeeling, Nyx works only to aid any goals Misaki might have, and wastes little time with talk and is utterly incapable of mercy, unless doing so is a calculated action.
Representation: It represents her directness and lack of empathy.
Powers: Wields spells of death and ice with skill and potency. Additionally, she can use shadows for teleportation.
-Strength: Strong against Ice and Death, as well as magic.
-Weakness: Fire, Life, and Physical attacks pierce her defenses.

Name: Grace Dierdre
Age: 21
Gender: Female
Appearance: Sort of tall for a girl at 5'8", she has red hair that goes to her shoulders and green eyes. Slim with long limbs, but the slenderness belies an inner strength. Mainly wears her police uniform, but when off duty she dresses nice but conservatively. Fond of wearing hats. Has a subdued look about her, but a look of iron determination shines through the somberness in her eyes. When the hardness goes out of her eyes though she looks weary, and yet tries to smile through it.
Personality: A very determined and motivated individual, she has a high sense of justice. Shes the type that will do what it takes, whether she likes it or not. Has a high endurance for pain, and wont show it, but sometimes will break down in private. Even the strong have their weak moments and she is no exception. She genuenly cares about people however, and will do whatever it takes to protect the innocent. Seems at times to be a study of opposites, gentle by nature yet violent when the need arises, and yet feels bad even for hurting the wicked.
Weapon: She has a gun but doesnt particularly like it so she will avoid drawing it at all costs. Mainly uses a retractible metal nightstick.
History: Grew up a bit sheltered and naiive in the country, so it was a shock when she saw that not all people were good and decent. Moved to a city later in her life and was astounded to see how people treated their fellow man, and became motivated to make a positive difference in the world. She became involved in law enforcement clubs in high school and worked hard to study to become a cop. Had a painful experience a year ago, but refuses to talk about it and would rather pretend it never happened.

Name: Gabriella
Appearance: Basically like an angel with long silver hair, the tips streaked with red. The color of her eyes cant be seen since bloody bandages are wrapped around her eyes. Shes wearing what used to be a beautiful flowing white dress, but its ripped and torn in places, and bloody. Is barefoot, and her wings are tattered and bandaged as well. But on her breastbone is a shining oval shaped white gem that shines pure despite the condition of the rest of her.
Personality: Since you cant see her eyes, you feel instead the emotions shes going through charged in the air around her. Like Grace, she is determined and sad, but the determination outweighs the somberness that Grace seems to have. She will never give up no matter what, and will sacrifice herself in a heartbeat for anyone who is weak and innocent. Is justice personified.
Representation: She represents the desire Grace has to protect the weak and make the world a better place, but since she feels powerless in the face of so much suffering in her city, the persona is broken. This is also because Grace's heart feels close to breaking at the strain seeing the sickness of the world on a daily basis.
Powers: I need help with this XD
-Strength: Life element so strong against that. also decently strong against magic attacks
-Weakness: Weak against death elements, and also direct attacks, since shes like a caster sort of lol
