Hello everyone and welcome to my second room or 'September Room' as I call it and this month's topic is about the self achievements you've done in TPM. It could be about anything that could be about a milestone, a very popular thread you made or making a large amount of posts in a slight short space of time.

So what did you achieve in TPM?

I got modded almost a year ago and soon after won the Unown award that I now proudly display in my sig.

I also started the Super Smash Bros. Brawl thread, that due to the multiple delays of that game, ended up lasting over a year. I guess that counts for something.

I won the Unown that is in my sig. I also started a few new games in PCG, although people lost interest in them several months ago.

Every single thing I say and do is an achievement. TPM would be nowhere near as great as it is right now had I never joined.

I was Quicksilver's right hand person for the Pokemon Avengers Capture Center. Back when AC/CC was big, I thought it was pretty impressive (too bad so few people remember the good ol' days there). I was also a ref of the battle tower, which was pretty cool

Back when I was the junior ASB mod, my co-mods up and left TPM without warning so I had a dying forum on my hands. I pretty much organized a total re haul of ASB (with help of course) and jump started it into a new age. I think that's my biggest achievement here

1. I spoke to Kevin Toomey once or twice.

2. I (with the backing of others) convinced LP to create the TV & Entertainment forum and the TCG forum.

3. I was an original member of INDEED. One of the first five or ten. Not really much of an achievement, but whatever.

4. I never entered a flamewar (on the forums), as far as I remember, heated debates notwithstanding. (And I fully expect Zak to come correct me since he seems to have his memories stored on a disk (or a pensieve for the Harry Potter fans) somewhere)

5. I managed to use a ridiculous amount of parentheses in this post.

I think I have achieved status as: a legendary ASB Battler, a competent Banner creator, a mildly amusing RPG'er, wildly outrageous Fanficcer and a moderately disturbed yet naive person who seems to always get the short end ofg the stick in every situation.

Well, I did have a few achievements here, one that I have a hard time forgetting was when I used to be one of the co-owners of Pokemon Hangman (mainly with mr_pikachu and Number1ChanseyFan for awhile, before Shadow Wolf/shinypokemonchaser came in), some time after I stopped playing the game altogether, I finally got myself the idea to attempt to create a few new PCG games (which were all thankfully approved by T_M_L), so they definitely were my biggest achievements here, as it makes me happy to see many posts in each of the three games I made, What Would You Do If...?, What Was The Last Time You...?, and What Would You Use These Things For?.

I know I had a bunch of polls myself years ago in PCG, but these days, they can't easily compete with the activity with my three games, even so, the only place I post polls much of the time these days is Goldenrod Tower, that is, anytime an idea for one pops into my head.

My achievements included originally being member #1000, how cool am I eh? That and I (by way of a typo) originally created the AIM "ummmm" chatroom, plus created INDEED, and was just generally uber-cool.

-I was the only one here for a while who brought Pokemon Anime news. There was a time where TPM's Poke-Anime community was kind of dead and more of the serious discussion took place at BMG or Serebii. For three years it was mostly just me holding it up as far as TPM goes. I mean it was active, but news-wise it mostly relied on me.

-Brought Shipping back a second time. All you Shipper-haters can blame me for that, if you need someone to blame for it, though I really don't regret it. I enjoyed the Shipping forum (minus the prom) back when Shipping was all the rage, and didn't think it's first demise was fair and felt it deserved a second chance and glad it got to live it out. Say "I told you so" all you want, I stand by believing it deserved a second chance.
(cue for Clark to make a retort)


-Lost my s-mod position for about a few months, over something in PCG I think... but anyway I was able to re-earn it after a while after proving myself. I honestly don't remember the details of the instance (cue for Nate to yell "LIES!")

-And most importantly recently. Misc was dying because of too many consolidated topics such as "Daily News" and "Movie Discussions" which whored in discussions of a lot of things that could have used their own thread. It was ME who brought forth that idea of cutting down consolidated threads, and it actually worked, Misc exploded with more threads and activity as soon as Suzie made the announcement and Heald locked the whore-threads. The birthday thread also got this treatment, which I'm pretty happy about, but at the same time surprised. Don't get me wrong, I would have wanted that to happen with the birthday thread, but I didn't even push for it because I seriously believed people would think it's a lost cause and it would feel a bit awkward doing it the first few times after we just had a consolidated birthday thread. You never know, guess someone realized everyone secretly thought that.
But another reason I didn't push for the birthday thread being done away with is because I remember when we had individual b-day threads before, many were pushing for there to BE a consolidated birthday thread which ended up happening. I honestly was never in favor of the consolidated birthday thread, and I remember feeling like I would have been the only voice against it. Oh well, guess everyone realized this.

I might even copy/paste my original post from TM addressing the issue to fix this problem which actually ended up working (which I assume would be okay with Suzie/Gabi seeing as it's MY post).

Additional achievement, I modded ASB at one point. Was easily the best times ever there. I ruled with an iron fist, was amazing.

You can't remember?? Poor show. That was one of the first question on the initiation exam. Although we rarely ever told those who wanted in what it stood for, we just assumed they'd know.

I'll give you a clue, the I stood for Inconceivable. Which is quite apt as it really was quite a nonsense sentance.

I know, it's terrible. Sadly, when a Knight of INDEED becomes a PoL (Prisoner of Life), his or her memory becomes wiped of his or her duties and also the details of INDEED.

Well, let's see, some of my biggest accomplishments at TPM were...

Getting modded in the now extinct G/S Help (later G/S/C Help) barely 3 months after joining TPM, which was my first ever real online community, and I did it before making 1,000 posts. Back in those days (late 2000/early 2001) it was practically unheard of for someone to be modded so quickly. I was very surprised, I mean, I had only been on the internet for a year, and even then, this was my first ever online community. I absolutely had no idea that I was going to be modded either, I was more or less just looking forward to being close to becoming an Advanced Trainer, (1000 posts, don't laugh, postcount was a big deal back then) and I was pretty shocked when I woke up one morning and noticed I was a mod. Actually this is going to sound kinda vain/stupid (hey I wasn't even quite 16 yet!!), but I didn't even notice the big congrats thread or my name on the mod list, like I said I had no thoughts of being modded so soon. I actually noticed when I looked at a thread that I had posted in, and I was just looking at my ranking, still expecting to be a Cool Trainer with 3 Pokeballs under my name, and anticipating being a couple of days away from getting my 4th Pokeball, and I was really kinda like "What the...?" when I noticed 8 Pokeballs and the Gym Leader title.

Sadly even though this was one of biggest accomplishments, it was also my biggest failure at TPM... for whatever reason, whether it was youth, being dumb and not getting it or whatever, I just didn't do a great job as a mod. It wasn't for a lack of trying, but I just didn't seem to get it... and then I went and did pretty much the worst thing that I could have done, I basically just ran away from it. It wasn't the greatest time to be doing it, because it was a time when the forum really needed strong leadership. There wasn't any problem replacing me, as there were plenty of people waiting for their chance to mod. Still, this really did a ton of damage to my reputation here. I think that I let a lot people down here, I believe that a lot of people were expecting a lot out of me, and I just didn't live up to it.

Afterwards, I basically left TPM, except for staying in contact with a few friends over the occasional PM. When TPM switched to the ezboard in 2002, I came back, I regretted having left, and I thought that TPM might be nearing it's end, so I had hoped to make up for lost time, and I have stayed ever since. Somehow I managed to get another chance at modding the Ruby/Sapphire forum in June 2004. For the life of me, I have no idea how I got modded in there. Although I had again been an active TPMer, I was mainly posting in the G/S/C forums, I doubt I had more than 20 or so posts total in Ruby/Sapphire at the time... So yeah, I never really posted in there until after I was modded, and how exactly I came to be modded there is still a mystery to me!!

Other accomplishments include becoming a Pokemon Hangman worker in October 2005, and winning an Unown award each of the last 2 years. I did win best mod 3 years in a row when we did those awards, but they really don't count, the last two years I was the only mod of the forum, mr_pika hadn't been modded in there yet, and the first year I won, Sir Chris was the other mod, and he had basically left TPM by then, he just wasn't removed from the modding list.

Oh, and I managed to get myself demodded and lose my Pokemon Hangman spot for a few days because of an April Fool's Day joke in 2006 that got taken a little too seriously.

So... sorry I got a little long winded here. I like reminiscing and I tend to have a pretty good memory lol. Hopefully I will have other accomplishments to add someday.

i've been an admin here and modded a few forums, like misc stuff, binary district, and a couple others i think. firepokmon or someone else might remember but i've forgotten. a few post count accomplishments. i think i was the first or second elite trainer, first (i think?) master trainer, and so on. bunch of little things i was proud of when i was younger. i saw that bulbapedia thing or whatever about the tpm forums and i'm not even on the historical member list.
