Stopping the onslaught for a moment, Swablu watched. No, Surskit was still asleep! Glad to know that, a talon went up and down on the squishy bug. Painful it seemed cause Surskit flipped backwards, and finally opened his eyes!

And now they both sat down. But Surskit's rest seemed paltry compared to Swablu's. That opponent seemed much healthier now.

Feeling rested, Swablu now concentrated on annihilating his attacker. Well, that was the plan, but that damn Icy WInd came to be a nasty chilling factor. Still, she barreled through it and sliced Surskit, making him plop back atop the water.

And just like that, the Safeguard faded away! Oh rapture! Sun went down too...

===Round 10===

Awake, Surskit started to skid across the water once more. Icy energy began to glow around the bug and he lunged toward the Swablu that was diving in for a swift Peck. Swablu got a full blast of Ice to the face and was smashed off to the water. But he recovered and got behind Surskit, pecking at his spindly legs.

Surskit bounced backwards, due to Swablu flipping backwards and performing an Aerial slash. But Surskit landed on his feet and fired a second Ice Beam at the Swablu. It struck and Swablu hit the water. Hard. In fact..Swablu didn't even move. He sunk. Weeeird

Surskit floated back over to where Swablu sunk and stuck his head in. Underwater, Swablu made his way over to the bank and sputtered out. From there, he tried to Roost, but an Ice Beam greeted him as he sat down.

Stumbling across the sand, the Swablu finally sat down and tried his best to Roost. The heated sands did help.

Well, both Competetors are sitting around, trying to regroup from their intense battle. To shorten this a bit, we're gonna let them rest and wait.

Now ready to fight! Surskit stands up..to see Swablu shoot upward, what's that about? Well it makes sense, when the bird cvomes diving down and strikes Surskit. But the bug flips onto Swablu's back and quickly runs across his back, all the while stabbing Swablu's back with his spindly feet.

Surskit knows this might be the final round, but he put up one hell of a battle. As such, the wind blew around them both with utmost haste, freezing Swablu's wings just enough. Feeling incredibly sluggish due to all this cold, all Swablu had the energy to do was peck the offending bug.

===Round 13===

Out flies a darker blue blur, and Unbraced laughs diabolically. Kyuu doesn't fret, even as the swift Taillow mirages into 4 birds. The flock loses a member though when an Ice Beam comes and skewers a clone, forcing it to evaporate.

Unhappy with the way things have turned out, Swablu takes the battle to the sky. Taillow keeps aloft and flies all about him, trying to confuse him even more. It works, as the second Ice Beam not only skewers a clone, but it zaps all remaining energy out of Swablu. The bird goes to land, but as Swablu settles, Taillow and his flock divebomb the bird, railing him past the lake and into the sands. Taillow shakes his head, a bit dizzy from that hit.

Once more, Swablu found himself on the deadder end energy wise. The last thing he would see was an incoming blitz of two Taillows, and the shocking hit gave him flight once more. Swablu crashed on the sands, unmoving.
