Gym Round 006

Arena:
MLG's new Arena, currently named "The Desert." As the name suggests, it takes place in a sizable desert area. A huge obelisk-like rock stands in the middle. There is a raging Sandstorm that blows for four rounds, subsides for two, then starts up and repeats; weather effects are only useable during those two rounds, as the Sandstorm overrides anything else.

The Sandstorm is currently subsided, round 2 of 2.

Unbraced sends in his replacement Pokémon, B-ball the male Spheal.

As soon as B-ball is out and ready to battle, Kamon spews out a nice cloud of toxins. Unable to make the cloud spread as wide as he wants, he simply hurls it at B-ball. B-ball starts to focus and gather a chilling breeze to blow it away. But just as he's about to cause it to blow, something goes wrong. The wind doesn't come, and B-ball is left to be confused as the dark cloud rolls over him. Shocked he can't help but breathe some of it, and the toxins slowly seep into his system, poisoning him.

Kamon then focuses on his rock-control ability and pulls a few more chunks from the base of the obelisk. He hurls them at B-ball, and he can't help but wince in pain from the effectiveness of the attack. B-ball goes rolling back a bit, then straightens himself as he goes to use…wait, what was it? B-ball is totally confused, because he's sure he doesn't know how to use this "Taunt" move.

While he's distracted thinking on that, Kamon pulls some more rocks from beneath the ground. He's starting to have some trouble finding enough rocks on this side of the obelisk, and realizes he might have to focus on the other sides soon. Regardless, he has enough for now and hurls them at B-ball. He gets hit hard and suddenly his vision blacks out while his muscles lock up momentarily. It's not for long, but it's long enough that he no longer has the window of time to try and attack.

B-ball winces in pain as the poison in his body decides to announce its presence. Suddenly the wind starts to pick up again, and it starts to hurl sand around the arena.

The Sandstorm has started up once more, and will continue for 4 more rounds. The fairly large divot created from the double Rock Slide is slowly getting filled in, but the rocks beneath the ground on the current side of the obelisk are starting to get few and far between.
