    Default Secret Santas 2009!

Heyyyyy! Black Friday started off the Christmas shopping season for us Americans, and today starts off signups for the fanfic Secret Santas! It's easy to do. Just sign up in this thread, and after signup time, I'll PM each participant with the TPMer they are to be Secret Santa for. You'll write a short story for that person and post it in its own thread, making sure you say who the gift is for. I don't need to tell you that you are not to reveal these names as they are secret. Signups close on 11:59 on December 7th. Let's go!

What the heck, let's try this. If I'm completely slammed for time, I'll write a drabble.

...Also, this means that anyone else with the "no time" excuse can consider that moot. Muahahahaha!

Ah, what the hell. Go ahead and count me in. I had fun coming up with something on the fly last year. Hopefully I'll have something more constructed this time around, but we'll see how it goes...

Hey Shonta, just noticed you said we had to write a short story? Is it just a short story this year or can we do other things like we have in previous years, like artworks and poems and the like?

Poems are accepted, of course. So's artwork, but it may be better if it's fanfiction-related, like related to the recipient's work.

This is it? Awww, I was hoping for a bigger turnout! Oh well. Signups are closed. Sit tight while I pull names! Because we have an odd number of participants, I'll put my own name in to even it out.

Hate to double post, but I have an update I forgot to mention. First of all, you can post your Secret Santa gift whenever you're ready (although on or before Christmas is recommended). Also, when you're ready, you post the gift in a separate topic here in Fanfic. Thank you!

I just want to say that I've really enjoyed reading the Secret Santas this year. People have been putting quite a bit of work into them -- I know I appreciated the thought that went into mine, and others clearly feel the same way. I hope to see the last few belated gifts soon.

    Great job this year, everyone!
