When it's my turn, I'm going to be using Perseus, my black gallade.

Alright Tsu, start off with Thunder Wave. Then dodge Stone Edge attack from behind with Aerial Ace. After that knock his Rock Slide back at him with Twister.

Arena: The Glitz Pit
A raised square platform large enough to accommodate two Wailord if need be, with spotlights and rafters overhead. Agile Pokemon can jump and grab or even tand and move atop the rafters and use them to their advantage (shaking loose debris from the ceiling or scaffolding high above the arena, etc.). Around the Glitz Pit are cheering Pokemon on the floor and in bleachers overlooking the fight area. Put on a good show and they'll cheer for you and maybe even toss you useful items. Put on a crappy show and they'll boo you and toss rocks and garbage.

Rawk focuses his mind for a moment, and regains his bearings. But then, Tsunami fires off some weak electric waves to hold him back. Rawk wonders why those bolts were so weak, but continues on.

~Second turn~

After that pitiful bit of lightning, Rawk goes in, slamming into Tsunami with his body all stony again. Tsunami manages to dodge the full force, but still gets a bit of a hit. He manages to counter attack with an Aerial Ace, which leaves Rawk in a bit more pain than he would like.

Rawk: -4 HP, -10 EN
Tsunami: -9 HP, -6 EN


~Third turn~

Rawk starts throwing stones over at Tsunami, however Tsunami whirls up a twister. Some of the rocks get thrown off, but a few still connect. The twister manages to collide with Rawk for a bit of damage.

Alright Tsu, start off with Dragon Dance. Then smack Rawk around with Aqua Tail. Finish up with an Earthquake. In the case that he uses any rock attacks, use Extremspeed to dodge them then attack. But only after your Dance.

I'm not liking these cheesy status effects... Rawk, hit yourself with Smellingsalt. Taking damage sucks, but Paralysis sucks more.

Then, when he comes in for Aqua Tail, brace against it: Hold out your claws, catch it, and then use Tsunami's moment to Fling him into the scaffolding. Finally, wait for his Earthquake to start, then jump and bring your fists down into his face in a good old Stone Edge attack.

Tsunami charges in and swings his tail at Rawk. Rawk is a tad too slow, and gets hit by it, but still manages to grab it and throw it across the arena.

Rawk sits there, waiting for an earthquake, but Tsunami gets it going a split second faster than Rawk expected. Mid-air Rawk gains that dull glow that always spells doom for Tsunami, and this one hurts.

Maintaining his dull glow, Rawk goes charging after Tsunami. Tsunami manages to dodge the attack just as Rawk lands, and hit him with an Earthquake. Rawk doesn't let the energy go to waste and rebounds his charge to slam into Tsunami.

Once again, Rawk goes to charge into Draconis. Mid-sprint, Draconis hits the ground again, causing another Earthquake that knocks Rawk out.

ROUND SIX

The crowd looks annoyed as Blademaster tries to damage control his first loss of the battle so early on. Dragonis and his dragonite smirk widely from their pedastal as Rawk Hawk receives a sudden boost in health and energy. Darth Cookiemonster takes center stage sheepishly as he summons his staryu -- Azure. The smaller starfishmon begins to sweat bullets as he glares at the larger, much larger, Rawk Hawk.

The third battle begins with Azure erecting a protective veil around his body, keeping him safe from the ailments [ -8PP Azure / Safeguard activated ]. Rawk pays it no mind, and wraps his right hook with an electric energy. POW!, he lets the water pokemon have it [ -12HP Azure / -6PP Rawk Hawk ].

Azure attempts to fire off his most powerful attack -- hydro pump -- but before he can do so, Rawk grips onto his top appendage, squeezing it shut. Azure struggles heavily [ -7HP Azure / -4PP Rawk Hawk / -20% Def Azure ] as he manages to spit out a smaller blast of water [ -7HP Rawk Hawk / -7PP Azure ].

Upon being splashed by the attack, Rawk retreats to his corner of the pit and begins to feel his head tingle and quake as the starfish begins his retalliation [ -13HP Rawk Hawk / -6PP Azure ]. The mental assault ends and Rawk jettisons forward, right in front of Azure. He charges up and fires a blast of pure fighting energy that tears through the starfish easily [ -14HP Azure / -8PP Rawk Hawk ].

ROUND SEVEN

With his lightning-fast reflexes, Rawk lunges over toward Azure with a lightning-fast lightning-punch [ -12HP Azure / -6PP Rawk Hawk ]. Azure's safeguard prevents him from getting paralysis. Azure quickly recovers from the second thunderpunch, and wiggles around his appendages for a few seconds, creating four illusions that are identical to himself [ -8PP Azure / +50% Eva Azure ].

Rawk Hawk ponders for a moment, trying to decide which pokemon is the real one. Within an instant, he snaps forward, striking what appears to be rather than what is. The staryu clone chirps for a second before disappearing [ -5PP Rawk Hawk / -10% Eva Azure ]. Azure dances around for a brief second, gathering his speed [ -5PP Azure / +20% Spd Azure ].

Now faster than the firery chicken, Azure tries once more to unleash his powerful hydro pump. Rawk takes notice, and jettisons high into the air. Even though he gets clipped by the water burst [ -7HP Rawk Hawk / -7PP Azure ], he still manages to come down and strike Azure with his claws harshly [ -6HP Azure / -4PP Rawk Hawk / -40% Eva Azure ]. The remaining clones vanish as soon as Azure loses his concentration.

Azure, with a lighter frame, readies himself. It's time to turn this battle around, he says as he scans through his arsenal of attacks. Unfortunately, he doesn't know how to use the attack his trainer commanded him to use, and just stares blankly [ +5PP Azure ] as Rawk springs high into the air, latching his claws onto the rafters [ -8PP Rawk Hawk ]. Rawk slowly climbs up into the rafters and reaches the spotlight, yanking it from it's socket and leaping to the ground below.

Azure once more scans his arsenal to find that, once more, he is unable to use the attack he was told to use [ +5PP Azure ]. As the shiny starfish stumbles over his own mind, Rawk flings the large, dead spotlight into him, damaging him greatly [ -14HP Azure / -6PP Rawk Hawk ].

Azure wails out before mentally abusing Rawk Hawk once more [ -13HP Rawk Hawk / -8PP Azure ]. Rawk just waits the attack out for a few seconds before charging at Azure with a forceful burst of wind-energy. POW!, he collides harshly into the smaller pokemon [ -14HP Azure / -6PP Rawk Hawk / -4HP Rawk Hawk ].

ROUND NINE

Rawk Hawk begins the third round by throwing his body wildly towards the starfish pokemon with his fists crackling with electric energy. Azure, feeling none-too confident about the match, jettisons himself upward quickly, avoiding the blunt of Rawk's thunderpunch [ -5HP Azure / -5PP Rawk Hawk / -5PP Azure / +20% Spd Azure ].

At the tip of his arc, Azure shoots off another water blast that crashes into the fire pokemon, dealing him great damage [ -18HP Rawk Hawk / -8PP Azure ]. Rawk brushes off the water as best as he can before swiftly leaping forward one more, slashing at Azure with his talons [ -6HP Azure / -4PP Rawk Hawk ].

Azure ends the round by wiggling his body -- summoning three clones to surround him [ -8PP Azure / +75% Eva Azure ]. Having some difficulty, Rawk Hawk aims blindly at one of the four staryu and fires. The blast envelops two of the staryu clones, disposing of them instantly [ -9PP Rawk Hawk / -25% Eva Azure ].

Okay I am going to have to think here. I already lost chamipon wise. It is a good battl though for a newbie.

Use Agility to get up on those rafters. We are pretty fast now, so we need to utalize it. Turn around quickly. If Ol Rawkie is trying to get up to the Rafters in any way, Hydro Pump him back to the ground. If he successfully gets up to the rafters use Psychic and throw him back down to the ground. If nither of those work, move betewen rafter to rafter with your insane speed. Find a good hole in your movement game and fire off those Hydro pumps.

You did a good job covering your weak spots there, Darth. I can't even use my finishing move now.

But as fast as Azula is, remember: Some attacks NEVER miss.

Rawk, jet after Azula with a combination of Aerial Ace and Thunderpunch to bring it down. If it survives that, use Vacuum Wave.

And THAT is why you are a gym leader. am i right? i am right arent i. but my atrayu's name is Azure. Not Azula. and i like the way you combined moves there. you can do that? and you seemed to forget the fact that if you tried getting anywhere near me that my Staryu would basically Hydro Pump you or Psychic you back down to the ground. Lets hope Staryu is fast enough. To get up on those rafters and launch an atack quick enough.

While your Staryu is using Agility, Rawk will be chasing after it using a faster attack. You can't avoid it, much less use a second attack before my first is even complete.
