Zaito Zhin

[Final Fight]

"Ready?"

"Ready."

Zaito and Kura were staring at each other, standing somewhere between the rest area and the fifty-times gravity area, pretty deep into the chamber and far enough that their battle would not destroy the rest area.

Kura quickly pressed both hands together and fired a quick but powerful ball of energy towards Zaito. Zaito leapt up, just in time to dodge the attack, but punching it towards the ground, causing it to explode. He burst from the explosion cloud and prepared to punch Kura, who was also readying a fist. As he dived over her, their fists connected and with his other hand he grabbed Kura's wrist and landed, turning her around. Letting go of her wrist, his leg began to glow with energy and he swung it around. Kura backflipped over the leg, but the energy it left in its wake was like a miniature tempest, blowing her away like a gale.

Kura flew up into the air, raising her arms to deflect the wind and bracing herself. She snarled and stared at the advancing Zaito and as Zaito came up for a high fist, she outmanoeuvred him and quickly jabbed him in the gut, causing him to double over. She then unleashed a flurry of blows that Zaito did his best to avoid, but mostly had to raise his arms in order to defend himself. She finished the flurry with a powerful punch that connected with his raised forearms, sending him flying back several yards. He lowered his arms, only to see Kura powering up an energy attack.
"Oh sh-" he muttered and she fired a beam of intense blinding energy. When she finished her attack, Zaito was nowhere to be seen.

"Bikokaze!"he yelled, appearing out of nowhere on Kura's flank, surprising her with a flying fist. Though surprised, she managed to turn around to deflect the punch, but was very much on the back foot as Zaito was now the one dealing the blows, although she was finding it easier to dodge them. She grabbed his wrist during one of his punches and swung him around, letting ago and preparing a powerful fist. Zaito quickly pressed both hands together, making a hand sign.
"Bikokaze!"he yelled, just as Kura connected with the punch, and even though it appeared to make contact, all that was left was an after-image that quickly dissipated. She looked everywhere in her immediate field of view but couldn't see the human warrior.

"Wind Shot!"Zaito announced. Kura turned her neck to see that Zaito had reappeared right behind her with a single arm outstretched, barely touching her back. It began to glow and whistle as wind surged around it.
"You s-" she uttered but the rest was not heard as a powerful, yet invisible, blast of wind directed squarely at her back sent her flying. Zaito landed and watched her regain control. She then raised her arms up and growled.
"Okay, enough games human, time to step it up."

She summoned a tremendous amount of energy in a matter of seconds and fired it at Zaito. The beam came in so quickly he had no idea to avoid it, instead outstretching his arms in an attempt to catch it. He braced himself and the beam struck his hands at lightning speed, nearly crushing him. His legs nearly buckled under the power, but he gathered the strength and held fast, yet knew he couldn't keep this up. He summoned his strength and, yelling as he pumped up his arms, he slammed the beam down against the ground near him. He had enough time to gasp for a breath of air, but as he turned around, the only thing he saw was a fist connected squarely on the side of his face, sending him flying across the ground. He quickly got on all fours and, as he turned his head, saw Kura again launching at him. With not enough time to recover, he turned onto his back and raised his forearms, blocking Kura's punch. Both of their auras began to flare as they struggled against each other.

"Am I too strong for you, human?" she yelled as her power began to rise and her fist dug further into his arms.
"Kura, the enemy is out there! What are you trying to prove?" he replied anxiously, genuinely feeling the threat of an angry Saiyan imminently bearing down on him with all her furious power.
"My strength will get me my Dragonballs, and with them I can get back what's mine!"
Zaito was about to deliver a kick in an attempt to dislodge her, when another voice spoke.

"Zaito, Kura, your time is up, and you are needed urgently."
They both powered down, but remained in the same position. They looked around; although it was Kuji's voice, he was nowhere to be seen.
"I am at the rest area, communicating telepathically. I'm afraid our old friends the Kwalis are back."
Both Kura and Zaito needed no time to process this information; they simply stared each other in the eye, and then a slow smile graced each of their faces. Kura leapt up over Zaito and landed on her feet, walking towards the rest area. Zaito leapt up as well and began to follow her.
"Lucky for you, looks like I get to kill something else instead of you," she dryly chuckled. Zaito smirked.
"Yeah, it'd be good to see how my new power compares to those clowns now."
