I'll ref this, but how many Pokemon are you and your opponent using on each side?
Would anyone like to battle me???
Rules:
Damage Cap is 40%
No Banned Moves
Arena: The Hologram.
Everything looks like a hologram but it is in reality very much tangible. There are invisible walls but they are quite spaced out giving enough room to battle. Other than all of that it is a standard battlefield with a small pond, patches of grass, and some boulders.
And I send out Gerald my male Piplup!

Oh right.. forgot about that. Lets make it a 4 v 4
I'll battle you![]()
alrght send out then atack
Alright, I'll send my Shiny Male Luxio, Xolotl.
Use Thunderbolt, then Discharge and end with Thunder!
Okay. Well first lets use whirlpool and fling it at Luxio right as the thunderbolt is coming. It should suck up the electricity and hit luxio with a lightning vortex! (i just made that up) after that, we shall protect ourselves from that discharge. finally for that thunder we are going to use blizzard to counter it.
KOT?
I was about to get the first round reffed, but I noticed something not right (don't worry Darth CookieMonster, nothing to do with you).
Kyuuketsuki, that Shinx you used in the battle I reffed between you and Mike Mysterio cannot evolve if he's still in a battle, even though I noticed your battle with ABK is awaiting a reffing, your Shinx has to be out of the battle (e.g. fainted) before he can evolve, remember, even if a Pokemon has the experience to evolve, it cannot evolve if it is still in a battle.
I'm sorry to have to do this to you Kyuuketsuki, but I have to let MLG or Darkly know, and let one or both of them take it from there.

Wha? lemme see if I got this straight.
You can't ref because that Luxio is in a battle as a Shinx? :curries to check.::
Yup. That's right. In fact, that shouldn't even be a Luxio.
Checked the dates, and yea-I can see why you would want to evolve yer dude, that battle was pretty lagged >>..But KOT's right.
So, yeah this battle can't exist. Here. Put this sucker on Pause if you wish and finish that battle Kyuu
That or just cancel it and restart it another time.

Darkly, isn't it also possible for Kyuuketsuki to swap in a different Pokemon (even though if that could be done, it'd force both battlers to restart the battle)? I'm just curious.

Okay how about this. Same rules, just we both send out two different, LEGAL pokemon. I will start by sending out my Male Trapinch named Hiyru.
I thought it didn't count cause the battle didn't start at all, and I might have forgot about this...
But ok, let's switch, i'll pick Wartortletwo.
Crap... I evolved Swablu and she's still in the contest![]()
So I take this is going to be a 2 on 2 instead?

yeah
Okay. Uh, Darth CookieMonster, even though this is just one of the two battles I'm reffing for you, are you sure you want your Numel to attempt Safeguard again in that other battle of yours I'm reffing (against chaos_redefined)? I'm just giving you some helpful advice, but you should double-check your moves again, 'll let you make a substitution for Safeguard if you want, as I figure you might be disappointed if your Numel makes a move that is just wasting one of her actions.

oops sorry. didnt see this.
Lets Put up a Sunny Day. Then fire off a solarbeam right through the water gun. After that, i want you to study Wartortletwo and read where that cloned turtle is going to fire that Hydro Pump. Use the force of it to blast that final Solorbeam really hard.
Sorry for the double, but bump for KOT.
Patience is a virtue, Darth CookeMonster, I am a little busy right now, and I have to leave to go to my father's for supper and a Christmas Eve service, as the holidays are a busy time of the year. If I don't get the time to ref today, I'll try and get it up tomorrow or Saturday. Finding time for a reffing sometimes can be hard, even though it usually isn't that hard for me.

Im sorry
No, it's okay. One more thing before I ref the first round Darth CookieMonster, do you guys want abilities to be on or off? You should state that at the very start of your battles (ones that haven't had the first round reffed just yet) so that the ref would know. Just remember, they cannot be used in a battle if they weren't in use before the first round was reffed already.

Sunny Day and Solar Beam x2
Sorry for the double post, but I finally have time to post the reffing. Oh, a couple more things, Kyuuketsuki, you fine with abilities being on? And Darth CookieMonster, judging by the colour of your Trapinch, he's shiny, right?

The battle begins in a hologram-like area. With pretty much everything looking like a hologram, the only thing that could cause problems here for the two battlers about to find their way inside would be the invisible walls, much like the ones a Mr. Mime could make. But, with those walls spaced far apart, they shouldn't prove to be much of a problem at all. The first battler to arrive is revealed to be Darth CookieMonster, taking out a Pokeball, he opens it up to reveal a shiny male Trapinch by the name of Hiyru. Within a few moments later, his opponent arrives, and reveals himself as Kyuuketsuki. Taking out a Pokeball of his own, he opens it up to reveal a male Wartortle going by the name of Wartortletwo. With that, the battle is started by Wartortletwo, who immediately starts off on the defensive by hiding in his shell and using a Withdraw to boost his defense. But, to his surprise, Hiyru doesn't retaliate with an attack right away, as the Trapinch decides on using Sunny Day to heat things up around here.
Hiyru: -6 Energy
Wartortletwo: -3 Energy, Defense +1
Wartortletwo then goes on the offensive, blasting Hiyru with a Water Gun. Despite getting weakened by the sunlight, it still strikes Hiyru, knocking him back a bit. But, Hiyru begins to form a ball of sunlight in his mouth, and thanks to the sunlight shining on the battlefield, he is able to quickly fire off the Solarbeam at Wartortletwo, causing the Wartortle to scream in pain as it blasts him back a fair bit...ouch.
Hiyru: -4 Health, -9 Energy
Wartortletwo: -16 Health, -3 Energy
Still very much in pain from that Solarbeam, Wartortletwo goes for another blast of water to aim at Hiyru, this time in the form of a much stronger Hydro Pump, which despite being weakened, still soaks the Trapinch good. Hiyru isn't too happy to be soaking wet though, and he gives Wartortletwo another quick-firing Solarbeam that slams into Wartortletwo like before, causing the Wartortle to scream in pain again.

Aqua Ring ~ Hydro Pump ~ Hydro Pump
Status: Defense +1, feeling hot from the Solarbeams
The round begins with Hiyru going for a Toxic on Wartortletwo. As the sun helps to dry the Trapinch up, he sends the glob of purple poison at the Wartortle, Wartortletwo does his best to ignore the pain the resulting splatter causes him, and he concentrates hard to make an Aqua Ring, creating a ring of healing water that he hopes will help him in the battle.
Hiyru: -6 Energy
Wartortletwo: -6 Energy, Defense +1, badly poisoned
Hiyru then goes for a Giga Drain on Wartortletwo. Letting a few green bubbles out from his mouth, the bubbles attach themselves to Wartortletwo, before painfully draining some health from him, before returning with a portion of the stolen health to Hiyru. Wartortletwo, not liking getting his health stolen from him, retailiates with a point blank Hydro Pump...although still weakened by the sun, it still makes its impact on the Trapinch.
Hiyru: -7 Health (+4 from the Giga Drain, -11 from the Hydro Pump), -6 Energy
Wartortletwo: -8 Health, -10 Energy
Not happy to be wet again, Hiyru decides on going for a second Giga Drain on Wartortletwo. As the Trapinch opens his mouth and releases a few more green bubbles heading in Wartortletwo's direction, the health stealing bubbles latch onto the Wartortle again, sapping some more health from Wartortletwo and giving back a portion of it to Hiryu. Once again, Wartortletwo responds to the health-snatching assault, and sends forth a second, sun-weakened Hydro Pump which strikes Hiryu again. Lucky for him that despite the pain the watery blasts are causing him, that he's getting dry fairly quick each time. Wartortletwo's Aqua Ring gives him a small bit of health back, but the majority of the benefit is cancelled out by the toxins in his body, as they begin to sap his strength.
Hiyru: -7 Health (+4 from the Giga Drain, -11 from the Hydro Pump), -6 Energy
Wartortletwo: -9 Health (-8 from the Giga Drain, +3 from the Aqua Ring, -2 from the Toxic this round), -10 Energy

-When I ref Aqua Ring, it restores 3% health per round, for five rounds (max).
-When I ref Toxic, I ref it as doing 2% the first round, and adding an additional 2% to the last round's damage each round (e.g. 2%, then 4%, then 6%, then 8%, and so on).
-Sunny Day will last for one more round unless the weather is changed.

Hydro Pump ~ Hydro Pump ~ Rain Dance
Status: Defense +1, badly poisoned (2% this round, 4% next round), Aqua Ring in effect (4 rounds left)
The round begins with Wartortletwo going for another Hydro Pump to aim at Hiyru. Despite still being weakened, it connects with the Trapinch, sending him reeling back a bit. However, Hiyru is able to regain his footing shortly after, and he takes advantage of the bright sunlight to quickly fire another Solarbeam at Wartortletwo, sending the Wartortle reeling in pain from that hard hit.
Hiyru: -11 Health, -9 Energy
Wartortletwo: -16 Health, -10 Energy, Defense +1
Struggling to get up from that last Solarbeam, Wartortletwo manages to get back to his feet, and is on the watery assault again with another Hydro Pump that is aimed at Hiyru. Even with the heat still having an impact on its strength, it still hits Hiyru, sending him rolling in pain. The Trapinch answers back with another Solarbeam, leaving Wartortletwo even more weakened. But, this hit also awakens Wartortletwo's Torrent ability, making his Water moves stronger.
Hiyru: -11 Health, -9 Energy
Wartortletwo: -16 Health, -10 Energy, Defense +1, Torrent activated
With his Torrent ability activated, Wartortletwo doesn't go on the attack just yet. Waiting for Hiyru to make a move, the Trapinch is happy to comply, shooting another Solarbeam at Wartortletwo. Despite feeling the pain all over, Wartortletwo is able to use a Rain Dance, which causes the clouds to move in front of the sun again, before dropping rain on both the battlers. Though the rain begins to annoy Hiyru, he grins as Wartortletwo's healing from the Aqua Ring is overpowered by the poisons in his system, as they continue to weaken him.
Hiyru: -9 Energy

Status: Defense +1, badly poisoned (4% this round, 6% next round), Aqua Ring in effect (3 rounds left), Torrent activated
Notes:
-When it comes to the use of Damage Caps, I have them set at 40% unless otherwise specified at the start of a battle. What they are is, they represent the maximum amount of damage a Pokemon can take in a round from attacks that come from the opponent, however, I don't include damage in the damage caps that comes at the very end of a round, from things like a burn, poison (either regular or Toxic), Sandstorm/Hail damage, etc. Those values are outside the damage cap, so I add them to it after the damage cap is triggered.
-With Wartortletwo's Torrent ability now in effect, his Water moves will do 50% more damage until he faints, or if his health goes above 33% (in which case, it'd no longer be in effect).
-Darth CookieMonster, you have the first move for the next round.

The round begins with Hiryu going for another Giga Drain on Wartortletwo. As the Trapinch releases some more green bubbles out of his mouth, they fly and latch onto Wartortletwo, sapping some of his strength away once again before flying back to Hiyru and restoring a small bit of health. Though this leaves Wartortletwo nearly out of health, he is able to conjure up a final surprise for Hiyru...in the form of a Toxic that comes out of the Wartortle's mouth, and splatters on Hiyru, causing him to cry in pain as the poisons find their way into his insides.
Hiyru: +4 Health, -8 Energy, badly poisoned
Wartortletwo: -8 Health, -6 Energy, Defense +1
Hiyru goes on the attack again, hitting Wartortletwo hard with a painful Earthquake that rattles the turtle Pokemon, before making him fall in defeat. But, despite overcoming the opponent that had a type advantage over him, Hiyru winces as the poisons in his system sap a little health from him.
