Whirlpool ~ Ice Beam ~ Steel Wing
Status: Ready to go!
The battle begins in Indigo Stadium. With it in its most basic form right now, the crowds in the stands begin to jump with excitement, in knowing their eyes are in for quite the battle sight here. On one side of the arena, the first trainer appears. Revealing herself as Wolfsong, she takes out a Pokeball, and opens it up to reveal a male Stunky named Rick Stetler, or just Rick for short. Soon, her opponent walks into the arena, from the opposite side. Revealing himself to be Darth CookieMonster, he takes out a Pokeball of his own, and opens it up to reveal a male Piplup by the name of Gerald. With that, I am teleported in thanks to Aries, my Alakazam, and I recall him before beckoning for the two trainers to meet each other in the center of the arena. With the two trainers shaking hands, they and their Pokemon take their respective places, and the battle begins. Gerald is quick to begin the battle, and he uses a fair bit of Water energy to create a Whirlpool above his head, which he hurls at Rick. Rick, seeing the whirlpool heading his way, decides on trying to hinder Gerald's ability to find him, and shortly after being hit and drenched, the Stunky breathes out a Smokescreen, which begins to cover much of the arena, and making it more difficult for Gerald to see.
Rick: -4 Health, -3 Energy
Gerald: -6 Energy, Accuracy -1
Getting annoyed by the cloud of black smoke that Rick created, Gerald charges up some ice energy, and fires it in the form of an Ice Beam that cuts through the smoke, and manages to strike Rick, much to his disappointment on how that was able to hit him. Nonetheless, the Stunky, despite feeling some chills as a result of that Ice Beam, retaliates with a Swift that slices through the smoke and strikes the Piplup, knocking him back a bit.
Rick: -8 Health, -6 Energy
Gerald: -5 Health, -10 Energy, Accuracy -1
Happy that he was lucky enough to strike Rick through his Smokescreen earlier, Gerald then goes for a Steel Wing...but he turns around to his trainer, not knowing what his trainer meant. Uh oh, this could be trouble. Rick soon comes charging through the smoke, and finds his way to Gerald before striking the Piplup with a Night Slash, raking his claws ridden in dark energy on Gerald, causing the Piplup to cry in pain.

-Sorry Darth CookieMonster, but Piplup cannot learn Steel Wing until it evolves all the way to an Empoleon.

The round begins as Rick breathes out a cloud of Poison Gas, hoping that it will envelop Gerald. But the Piplup, despite having some trouble seeing through the Smokescreen from earlier, is ready for this one, and he erects a Protect shield that causes the Poison Gas to harmlessly bounce off and dissipate, much to the Stunky's disappointment.
Rick: -3 Energy
Gerald: -9 Energy, Accuracy -1
Not happy with his unsuccessful attempt to give Gerald a poisoning, Rick goes for a Hidden Power, and he forms several white orbs that begin to circle him, before they begin to glow red, and he fires it at Gerald. Gerald, seeing the circle of orbs flying his way, fires off another Ice Beam...but for some reason, the mysterious power in the orbs weakens the Ice Beam's power a little, but the two moves still hit their intended targets.
Rick: -6 Health, -6 Energy
Gerald: -5 Health, -10 Energy, Accuracy -1
Feeling relieved that the last Ice Beam didn't make him feel quite as chilled as the last one, Rick then goes for a Sludge Bomb, sending a decent sized ball of sticky, acidic sludge that splatters on Gerald, causing him to cry out in pain from its acid-like feel. He is lucky though that the splatter didn't cause him to suffer a poisoning, and he shoots off a Hydro Pump that strikes Rick, sending him reeling backwards from such a powerful strike.

Hydro Pump ~ Ice Beam ~ Water Pulse
Status: Accuracy -1, getting a bit tired already
The round begins as Gerald prepares to fire a Hydro Pump at Rick. As Rick spots the blast of water heading his way, he quickly shoots a thin beam into the air which causes the clouds to move out of the way of the sun, not only making things get bright around the arena, but also making the Smokescreen from earlier begin to slowly dissipate and make Gerald's vision improve. However, even though it puts a dent in the strength of the incoming Hydro Pump, the watery blast still makes its strike on Rick, sending him back a bit.
Rick: -8 Health, -5 Energy
Gerald: -11 Energy, Accuracy back to normal
Seeing that the sun has weakened his Water attacks, Gerald changes tactics, and begins charging up an Ice Beam, not even noticing until around the last second that Rick had split himself into five. Still, the Piplup fires the icy cold beam at one of the five Stunky...only to see the target spaz out and disappear, much to Gerald's disappointment. Darn clone...
Rick: -6 Energy, +4 Clones, -1 Clone
Gerald: -10 Energy
With three of his opponent's clones remaining, Gerald stares hard at the four remaining Stunky, and he fires a Water Pulse at one of them. This time, his aim is true as Rick is hit by the surprise blast, causing him to cry in pain as his remaining clones vanish. But, Rick has retaliation, which comes in the form of another Sludge Bomb which hits Gerald, sending him back a little in pain. He is lucky though to avoid the poison as he slowly gets back to his feet, feeling a bit more tired than before.

Rain Dance ~ Hydro Pump ~ Hydro Pump
Status: Feeling quite tired
The round begins as Rick breathes out a Smog that begins to obscure Gerald's vision again. But unlike the Smokescreen that faded away earlier, the Smog causes Gerald to cough out, as he feels some of it entering his lungs...uh oh, not good. Definitely not good. Upset that the Smog caused him a poisoning, Gerald tries to find a way to deal with the toxic fog, as he uses a Rain Dance, calling for the clouds to come out and let the rain fall. This rainy strategy though does nothing to stop the Smog from dissipating, much to Gerald's disappointment. So much for that idea...
Rick: -5 Energy
Gerald: -2 Health, -6 Energy, having difficulty seeing in the Smog, Poisoned
Seeing that his plan worked out well, Rick moves on to attack, charging a fizzling pulse of dark energy in his mouth, he fires the Dark Pulse at Gerald, making a strike on the Piplup through the fog, causing him to cry in pain. Gerald retaliates with a Hydro Pump however, firing the rain-boosted blast of water that strikes Rick a bit harder than the previous ones, but the fact that he's still trapped in the fog causes the Hydro Pump to use up a bit more of Gerald's energy than before.
Rick: -14 Health, -7 Energy
Gerald: -8 Health, -12 Energy
With his opponent slowly getting closer to total exhaustion, Rick goes for another Sludge Bomb. As he fires the viscous glob of poison Gerald's way, it makes its landing on the Piplup, making him cry in pain. Piplup then goes for one more Hydro Pump...but despite being lucky again for the watery blast to hit Rick, it still drains the remainder of Gerald's energy, while doing him a small bit of damage from the energy conversion. Being poisoned doesn't help the Piplup's cause either, as the poison in his system causes him to cough and wince in pain.

Alright well.. I think you should take it a little easy there Greald... and if you think you can... land a Hydro Pump or three.
You know Darth CookieMonster, you probably didn't know this, but Pokemon can relax (basically regaining some energy while not using a move) on any of their actions in a round, especially if their energy is getting low...you can also get a Pokemon to use an attack at only a fraction of its power as well for less energy cost.
Just a couple of heads-ups for any of your future battles that may help you, that's all.

Rick: -9 Energy
Gerald: -10 Health, +6 Energy, Torrent activated
Still feeling the stinging pain, Gerald does his best to shake it off as he continues to regain energy through relaxation. But once again, Rick is on top of him with another Sludge Bomb, weakening the Piplup even further.
Rick: -9 Energy
Gerald: -10 Health, +6 Energy
Done of his relaxing for now, Gerald finally goes on the attack. Having saved up the energy he needed for a Hydro Pump, the Piplup sends the huge blast of water...powered up by both the rain and his Torrent ability, at Rick, causing the skunk Pokemon to cry in pain as it sends him reeling back with plenty of force. Despite the super-powered strength of that Hydro Pump, Rick is able to slowly find his footing again, and he retaliates with one more Sludge Bomb which smacks Gerald hard...but this one also costs Rick a small bit of health, due to the energy conversion from running out of energy. Meanwhile, the poison in Gerald's system saps some more of his strength...looks like the next round could be it for him.

The battle is momentarily paused again as Wolfsong goes over to the fallen Rick. Recalling the Stunky back into his Pokeball, she takes out another Pokeball, and opens it up to reveal a male Bulbasaur appropriately named Briar. From there, the battle is resumed by Briar, who upon seeing his opponent, goes into a Swords Dance. Building his attack power in the spin, Briar comes out of it feeling the jump in his attack power. However, Remy is not about to let his move go to waste, as he summons a big Sandstorm that begins to blow around the arena, allowing the Sandshrew to increase his evasion as a result of Sand Veil becoming active.
Briar: -5 Energy, Attack +2
Remy: -6 Energy, Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Sand Veil in effect (Evasion +1)
Not liking the Sandstorm that just began to help his opponent seek better evasion, Briar quickly fashions together a Seed Bomb from some plant material he was able to conjure, but somehow, Remy sees it coming, and manages to get away from it before it could hit him, much to the Bulbasaur's disappointment. Remy then goes on to spit a nasty Toxic onto Briar...who seems to not be bothered at all by the splatter, being part Poison. Oops...
Briar: -7 Energy
Remy: -6 Energy
Still being bothered by the Sandstorm, Briar goes for a Razor Leaf that he hopes will make a connection to Remy. Lucky for the Bulbasaur, his aim is true, as the flurry of razor sharp leaves manage to find their way to Remy, causing the Sandshrew to cry in pain as they deliver a few painful cuts on his body. He wastes no time retaliating, as he makes a counterstrike with a Poison Jab, sending his purple-glowing paw into Briar and knocking the Bulbasaur back a bit. The Sandstorm takes its toll on Briar as well, as it knocks off a small portion of his health.

If the weather is changed change it back to sandstorm.
Briar, i want you to start with flash. Follow that up with a couple razor leafs.
Flash ~ Razor Leaf ~ Razor Leaf
Hi guys, as you may have noticed, my internet connection has been finally stabilized (Darth CookieMonster, you know about it, since I posted the end of the problem in the Absence Tower a couple of days ago). Anyway, here we go.

[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 91%
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 81%

Ability: Sand Veil
Poison Jab ~ Slash ~ Sand-Attack
Status: Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Evasion +1 (from Sandstorm activating Sand Veil)
The round begins as Remy moves toward Briar with his purplish glowing claw stretched out. Trying to find his opponent before he can make his pointy strike, Briar tries to emit a powerful Flash in Remy's direction, hoping it will stop the Sandshrew in his tracks...but the obscured vision brought onto Briar thanks to the Sandstorm causes that Flash to barely touch its target, and Remy completes the Poison Jab attack whilst slamming his purple claw into Briar.
Briar: -6 Health, -3 Energy, Attack +2
Remy: -9 Energy, Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Sand Veil in effect (Evasion +1)
Remy soon goes back onto the attack using his claws, this time using a Slash that rakes across Briar's body, causing the Bulbasaur to scream in pain as the sharp claws leave a painful mark on his body. Nonetheless, the Bulbasaur retaliates with a Razor Leaf, and the flurry of leaves leave a mark of their own on Remy, causing him to scream in pain this time as the sharp leaves cut him up just as hard as his claws did on Briar.
Briar: -7 Health, -7 Energy, Attack +2
Remy: -11 Health, -6 Energy, Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Sand Veil in effect (Evasion +1)
Not wanting to be easily hit again, Remy immediately begins to fling some sand on the ground into Briar's eyes, causing the Bulbasaur to feel even more discomfort from the sand. Still, he does his best to get off a second Razor Leaf...upon hearing a cry of pain from Remy again, Briar is relieved the leaves hit his opponent...but he is still reminded of how annoying the Sandstorm is, as it knocks off another small portion of his health.
Briar: -3 Health (from the Sandstorm), -7 Energy, Attack +2, Accuracy -1
Remy: -11 Health, -3 Energy, Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Sand Veil in effect (Evasion +1)
Stats After Round 9:
Wolfsong:
OX
Briar the Bulbasaur (M)
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 75%
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 64%
Ability: Overgrow
Status: Getting really annoyed with the Sandstorm, Attack +2, Accuracy -1
Darth CookieMonster:
OX
Remy the Sandshrew (M, shiny)
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 67%
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 52%
Ability: Sand Veil
Status: Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Evasion +1 (from Sandstorm activating Sand Veil), feeling a little better
Notes:
-Flash missed due to Sand Veil being in effect, sorry about that Wolfsong. I know that the overall effect is a bit tricky, you just have to work around it.
-Sandstorm will last for 1 more round unless otherwise changed.
-Wolfsong, you've got the first move for the next round.

Round 10
Pre-Round Stats:
Wolfsong:
OX
Briar the Bulbasaur (M)
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 75%
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 64%
Ability: Overgrow
Sweet Scent ~ Razor Leaf ~ Razor Leaf
Status: Getting really annoyed with the Sandstorm, Attack +2, Accuracy -1
Darth CookieMonster:
OX
Remy the Sandshrew (M, shiny)
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 67%
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 52%
Ability: Sand Veil
Gyro Ball ~ Jump (to try and avoid the first Razor Leaf) ~ Swords Dance
Status: Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Evasion +1 (from Sandstorm activating Sand Veil), feeling a little better
The round begins as Briar tries to use Sweet Scent in the Sandstorm, in hopes that it will get to Remy and lower his evasion a little. But the Sandstorm proves to be a little too much for the Bulbasaur's aroma, blowing it away from the arena, much to Briar's disappointment...again. Remy soon goes for a Gyro Ball on Briar, rapidly spinning around before ramming his rounded form into the Bulbasaur, making him cry in pain.
Briar: -7 Health, -3 Energy, Attack +2
Remy: -7 Energy, Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Sand Veil in effect (Evasion +1)
By now, Briar is starting to get really frustrated. Having jus about enough of the annoyances from Remy, the Bulbasaur sends off a fury of razor sharp leaves, hoping they will connect with Remy. Remy though, seeing that the Razor Leaf is heading his way, jumps into the air, hoping he'll be able to completely dodge the sharp leaves. But a few leaves manage to catch his lower leg and foot area as he lands on the ground, causing him to cry in pain.
Briar: -7 Energy, Attack +2
Remy: -7 Health, -3 Energy, Attack -2, Special Attack -2, Sand Veil in effect (Evasion +1)
Relieved that his Razor Leaf was able to just connect with Remy despite the slight damage reduction, Briar sends off a second barrage of the sharp leaves, but this time around however, Remy manages to dodge them, as he uses a Swords Dance that not only brings his attack back to normal, but also helps to repeal the one or two leaves that nearly would have hit him otherwise. But at that point, the Sandstorm makes its final strike on Briar before it finally fades, much to Remy's disappointment and Briar's relief. This one's not over yet, folks!
Briar: -3 Health (from the Sandstorm), -7 Energy, Attack +2
Remy: -6 Energy, Special Attack -2, Evasion back to normal
Stats After Round 10:
Wolfsong:
OX
Briar the Bulbasaur (M)
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 65%
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 47%
Ability: Overgrow
Status: Glad the Sandstorm is over, Attack +2
Darth CookieMonster:
OX
Remy the Sandshrew (M, shiny)
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Health: 60%
[IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII] Energy: 36%
Ability: Sand Veil
Status: Special Attack -2, Evasion back to normal
Notes:
-sorry about Sweet Scent not working Wolfsong, the randomizer just wasn't in your favour there (you know why). The randomizer can be a real pain sometimes, but hey, when there is a total accuracy drop of 2 or more grades (as a combination of any lowered accuracy for Briar and raised evasion for Remy), that's basically what happens.
-Darth CookieMonster, you've got the first move for the next round.
