You offer to take the potion and the witch doctor thanks you. You walk deeper into the forest, searching for a big oak tree. Unfortunately, you see any tree but oak. Maples, ashes, sycamores, willows. You begin to lose faith, when a Chikorita nudges at your toe. You look down and see it run off. "Wait up!" you shout, and you run after it, War and Eclipse in close pursuit. Soon enough, you reach a large oak tree, and sure enough, an old man and woman are tending to a sickly Pupitar.
You walk up to them and the old man says "Oh! You brought the potion?!" He walks excitedly to you and pours some on Pupitar. Unfortunately, Pupitar still looks ill.
"There must be an ingredient missing." The old woman says, "Jack, let me see that." The old man hands his wife the potion and she examines it, smells and tastes it a bit. "I knew it. This solution is missing the root of the Scaponica plant. Unfortunately, this plant is quite hard to find. The rare plant can be found in the Bottomless Pit. That's what I've heard anyway. The word bottomless, makes me very unsure that that is true though..."
What will you do? Head to the mysterious Bottomless Pit, try going somewhere else, or something else.
