A Large three deck Spanish Galleon that half sank in the Shallow shoreline of TPM, over time a small Island grew around the ship, A thick layer of mud and rocks are found on all three Levels of the ship, the Lowest Level also has seaweed growing on the mud were the sunlight reaches threw holes in the upper decks, wild Pokemon can be found living on the ship, Chatot are known to nest here.

Flippin' heck, I'm back for two minutes and I'm getting challenged.. and we have 3 of the same pokemon, so that's going to get confusing..

Go Autumn (Turtwig male), Verne (Remoraid female), Beans (Magby male) and Roswell (Magnemite).


Roswell, lets try and put that Porygon out of the picture for a minute, send a Magnet Bomb in its direction. Now focus on Anchovy, send two Shockwaves in his direction.

Verne, try and wrap Anchovy up in a Whirlpool then fire a Thunder Wave at Heatblast. Finish off with a Double Team.

Autumn, face off against Atlas with a Leaf Storm, then turn your attention to Mr Glitch with a double Energy Ball.

Beans, keep Heatblast busy with a Faint Attack then nail him with a Confuse Ray and focus your last attack on Atlas, a powerful Flame Thrower

Right, lets see how out of the game I am..

‡ Round 1 ‡

It’s a balmy afternoon on the vast shoreline of TPM. The breeze is salty, the Wingulls are aplenty and here on the deck of a creaky beached vessel two trainers gather to duke it out. Charles Legend and RaZoR LeAf, two savvy battlers I’ve yet to interact with (hi guys! *waves*), stand there collecting hot sunbeams before reaching for their belts. It’s on!

Without warning, both trainers pluck four—yes, four!—balls from their belts and release their fighters. They each send out a Turtwig, a Remoraid and a Magby, while Charles Legend opts for a Porygon as his fourth selection while RaZoR LeAf goes with his Magnemite. As the eight Pokemon take to the field, trotting and hovering and flopping around, I can only stand here flabbergasted. How the hell do I ref this?

…awesomely is how!

Mr. Glitch makes the first move of the match. Locking its cross-targeting mechanism on Atlas, it shoots off a chily Ice Beam that strikes the Turtwig for potent damage. As Atlas collapses, Heatblast and Beans feel a sudden rivalry bubbling up between them. The two Magbys swap moves, one Faint Attack for one Confuse Ray. The former attack strikes Heatblast while the latter successfully leaves Bean with a head full of scrambled thoughts. Uh-oh.

Roswell decides to play it sneaky and hovers close enough to Mr. Glitch that it can discharge a massive swell of magnetic energy. As the digital duckie succumbs to this attack, Autumn plods over toward Atlas to unleash a crippling twister of pointed leaves. Atlas follows suit, but directs his own crazy Leaf Storm toward Verne. As the leaves settle, both Atlas and Verne feel their Special Attacks diminishing.

Though Anchovy and Verne have been flopping there useless on the deck all this time, their minds are still in the battle. Anchovy manages to shoot off a trail of crackling gold flames at Roswell just as Verne commands a spiraling cyclone of water to climb up out of the ocean and cross the deck. The move strikes Anchovy and causes the Remoraid to spin around helplessly in the Whirlpool, though the typing and weakened Special Attack ensure that the move does precious little damage.

Pleased with how its previous assault went, Mr. Glitch strikes Autumn with a second Ice Beam. Glassy ice crystals coat the tiny turtle and reduce him to a shivering mess. With his mind elsewhere, Beans plops down on the deck and begins waving its hand in front of his face. Woah, guys... fingers sure are neat! Thrilled by his opponent’s Confusion, Heatblast scoops up a little mud near his feet and flings it at Beans gleefully. Hey, way to add injury to insult! Watching the Remoraid spinning uselessly in the Whirlpool, Roswell causes electric current to diffuse from its body and aims the attack at Anchovy. Mmm, does anybody else smell fried haddock?

Meanwhile, Atlas opts for another Leaf Storm and directs it at Verne, but finds this one slightly depleted in strength. Autumn shakes the ice crystals off his bulk and manages to shoot off a glowing ball of Grass-type energy a this aggressor. Mr. Glitch tumbles backward as the blow collides. As this goes on, Anchovy has been using its powerful swimming muscles trying to work its way out of the spinning cyclone and—and yes, it breaks free from the Whirlpool! Thank goodness it wasn't a very strong one to begin with. The water immediately stops spiraling and splashes down against the deck and, to celebrate, Anchovy again breathes hot flames on Roswell while Verne goes for a Thunder Wave aimed at Heatblast. The move hits its target, and the Magby feels his muscles spasm as a result.

Three time’s the charm, right? With this in mind, Mr. Glitch releases its third Ice Beam aimed at Autumn. As Heatblast finds his moves suddenly more sluggish due to the Paralysis, Beans manages to momentarily overcome his Confusion and shoots off a blistering Flamethrower at Atlas. Roswell goes for another Shock Wave at Anchovy, but keeps a wary eye (its only one, in fact) focused on Atlas, who does not seem impressed by that Flamethrower. The Turtwig vents his frustrations by going with a third Leaf Storm directed at Verne. Ouchies! Likewise, Autumn agrees that repetition is the key to a smart strategy and flings another ball of energy (an Energy Ball, if you will) at Mr. Glitch.

Anchovy as well believes that originality is below himself and fires some, well, fire at Roswell. I swear, that Magnemite is going to start melting any moment now—in fact, if you look closely, you can see that it’s actually a little burnt. Imagine that. Fearing for her own well-being, Verne brings three clones into existence. There’s safety in numbers, y’know.

Once the ruckus comes to an end, Heatblast figures he might be able to execute a move after all! The Magby reaches down for some mud, but his back suddenly stiffens and—yeah, not gonna happen. Paralysis can be a real pest, eh?

Roswell, set up a small Substitute to absorb those attacks then grab Verne and Teleport to the top of the ship, away from the battle, and start a Rain Dance.

Verne, Protect until Roswell gets to you, then Double Team and create your own medium sized Substitute.

Autumn, Beans, looks like nobody is focusing on you two, so lets use that to our advantage.

Beans, let out your [b]Frustration of being confused on Atlas, then hurt him badly with a double Fire Blast.

Autumn, use Super Power on Mr Glitch, then double Leaf Storm on Anchovy.

‡ Round 2 ‡

In the fallout of the first round, the battle is already starting to look just a little bit one-sided. Thrilled by its performance so far, Mr. Glitch does a jaunty spin in the air before unleashing a powerful beam of electricity that darts toward Verne. The move falls just short, crashing into an invisible barrier hovering just in front of the crafty little Remoraid. Meanwhile, Beans stumbles, still not over his Confusion. If only the world weren’t so damn spinny! Growling, the Magby feels his temper rising and he unleashes his emotions in a powerful flailing attack directed at Atlas. The poor Turtwig crumples under the brute force of the rage-driven assault. Beans grins. Ahh, much better...

Fearing for its well-being, Roswell finds a peg leg sitting on the ground and decides that it will serve as a good replacement battler. (The peg leg has no opinion on the subject.) Atlas manages to get over that nasty Frustration, whipping up a maelstrom of razor-sharp leaves that his directs at Verne, who smiles happily behind her Protection. Autumn, on the other hand, puts as much physical might as he can into one powerful blow that just about knocks Mr. Glitch to pieces. The move, however, comes at the price of weakening both Autumn’s physical might and fortitude.

Anchovy and Heatblast, the last two to move, combine their efforts into a double Flamethrower that crackles across the field before striking the peg leg. The peg leg is immediately reduced to cinders. Oh, the humanity!

Mr. Glitch, still shaking off Autumn’s Superpower, shoots off another sizzling Thunderbolt that completely eliminates one of Verne’s three clones remaining from the last round. One down, two to go! Beans scans the field for his target, and as his gaze sweeps across the deck of the Phantom Galleon, the Magby realizes that he’s no longer seeing doubles of everything. Woohoo! Confused no longer! To celebrate, Beans fires off a fiery ideogram that smokes Atlas and just about incinerates him whole. Mmm, that smell! Is someone making a stir-fry?

In an act of self-preservation, Roswell hovers just close enough to Verne that it can Teleport the pair up to the ship’s crow’s nest. Ooh, they can see Roswell’s house from up there! However, down below, Verne’s two remaining clones feel suddenly abandoned and vulnerable—and with good reason, too. Atlas shoots off another eddy of leaves that spirals over to one of Verne’s clones and knocks the thing into oblivion. The remaining clone gulps. Uh-oh. Autumn follows suit, commanding his own slicing-and-dicing Leaf Storm that he aims at Anchovy. I’ve got one word for you: ceviche. Look it up.

Anchovy, who doesn’t appreciate getting all cut up, tries to strike Roswell with a Flamethrower but his target is simply too far out of range. Meanwhile, way up the crow’s nest, Verne performs another Double Team and calls forth three new clones to keep her and Roswell company. The Remoraid clone still flopping away down on the deck glowers. Fine! Be all exclusive if you want to! See if he cares!

To finish off the turn, Heatblast seizes up and does nothing. Yeah. How climactic.

The poor lonely clone is put out of its misery soon enough as Mr. Glitch sneaks up on it and toasts it alive with a Thunderbolt. Ashes to ashes, blah blah blah. Beans, pleased with how the first Fire Blast went, figures there’s no reason not to repeat past successes and roasts Atlas’s tushie with a second red-hot blow. Roswell, way up in the crow’s nest, has a moment of inspiration. Hey, you know what’s good for burns? Water! The little Magnemite thus spins around in the air and summons dark, roiling clouds that soon spill great heaping globs of water over the battlefield.

Verne hisses from beside Roswell. No, you idiot! As the cold, fat raindrops strike the ship, the three clones are instantly obliterated. Well, so much for that strategy. Autumn, who, on the other hand, doesn’t mind the rain so much, goes for what is perhaps the bajillionth Leaf Storm of the match. The dancing, spiraling leaves strike Anchovy and cut him up something nasty. Atlas does the same with Leaf Storm number bajillion-and-one, but it doesn’t pan out so well. Atlas tries to force the leaves up high enough to strike Verne, but the Remoraid is just simply too far out of range and the move ultimately fails.

Verne, irked by Roswell’s clone-killing Rain Dance but pleased that Atlas’s Leaf Storm didn’t make contact, finds a rusty telescope left up in the crow’s nest and chooses it as her Substitute. Anchovy and Heatblast go for another combined Flamethrower, but they can’t seem to arc their moves in just the right way, and what with the rain and all, they simply have no chance. Roswell is blissfully left unscathed.

With that, the match begins to look significantly less one-sided.

Fun fact: Leaf Storm depletes the user's SpA, not the target's! Oops. That being said, I had to make some minor revisions to fix my oversight. Everything is peachy now!

Ok Verne, aim a double Charge Beam at Anchovy and finish with a Water Spout on Heatblast. Drop down a level if you need to get closer.

Roswell, use the rain to your advantage. Triple Zap Cannon on Mr Glitch.

Atlas... is not the name of my Turtwig, what am I doing, i'm so confused..sorry Autumn. Use Growth then hit your rival Turtwig (who has a stupid name that is no way more memorable than yours) with a double Crunch.

Beans, keep your rival occupied, Mach Punch, Cross Chop and Brick Break.

‡ Round 3 ‡

It’s Magby on Magby, winner take all. Beans darts toward Heatblast like a, well, like a dart and socks his fellow Magby right in the kisser. How rude. Magby pauses and begins plodding toward a nearby cannonball with intentions to pick it up and Fling it, but the Paralysis slows his motions down. He’ll get there eventually!

Meanwhile, the inorganic duo square off as Roswell discharges a paralyzingly (best. fake. adverb. ever.) strong burst of electricity down from the crow’s nest toward Mr. Glitch. The Porygon begins glowing red, however, and does his best to trap the Zap Cannon in Psychic waves. The electric current is massive, however, and frightfully unstable, so the Psychic attack can only stop so much of it. What electricity Mr. Glitch does manage to control gets redirected at Verne’s telescope, which sizzles as the move makes contact. As a result, both Mr. Glitch and Verne suffer a loss of muscle control.

Next, it’s time for the two terribly terrifying Turtwigs to tango, though the pair chooses to keep the peace… for now. Autumn pauses to allow himself to gather energy as Atlas commands the clouds and rain to abate and allow the sun to smile down on the match.

Finally, Verne flops down back into the fray and the two Remoraids greet each other with a pair of Charge Beams and enjoy stat boosts. As a result of the move, Verne’s Substitute eats up the damage instead and is consequentially broken. Mmm. Insert tired joke about fried fish here. And finally, Heatblast finally makes it over to that cannonball and hurls the thing at Beans. Ouch. Cannonballs, y’know, hurt.

Beans once again targets his fellow fire duckie with another mighty physical attack, crossing his arms in a dramatic X-shape and bringing it swinging down right on Heatblast’s head. Yikes. Roswell again goes for another crackling Zap Cannon that he targets at Mr. Glitch. Though the Porygon tries to parry the move with Psychic waves, the digital duckie can’t seem to get its brain to work in the right manner and bears the full weight of the attack. Paralysis fried the connection, it seems.

Atlas eyes Roswell way up there in the crow’s nest and decides to knock that Magnemite down a peg… literally, except not quite literally because there are no actual pegs involved, but you get what I’m saying. With a Superpowered tackle, he drives his weight into the main mast which supports the crow’s nest. The mast rocks back and forth wildly, knocking Roswell down to the ground with a rather painful thump. Autumn watches this happen and sinks his teeth in Atlas’s rump as an act of vengeance. Serves you right!

Once more, the two Remoraids exchange Charge Beams and find both their Special Attacks heightening again. Yay! Finally, Heatblast tries to Fling that very same cannonball at Beans once again but finds his muscles seizing up not at all unlike his comrade, Mr. Glitch. Poor guys.

Oh man, this thing basically just refs itself. Alrighty, so Beans is once again all over Heatblast with another Fighting-type attack, this time Brick Break. Roswell shoots off another Zap Cannon which Mr. Glitch again partially captures and redirects toward Verne. Both fighters sizzle in the aftermath of the attack.

Meanwhile, Atlas rams into Roswell with another mighty Superpower as Autumn spitefully chomps down on his fellow veggie turtle with a sickening Crunch. Anchovy goes for a third Charge Beam at Verne, enjoying a Special Attack boost, while Verne unleashes a huge gout of water that strikes Heatblast. The harsh sun, however, makes the attack a hair weaker. The Magby shakes off a few remaining water droplets and then succeeds in Flinging that cannonball at Beans at last. Huzzah.

Things heat up as we enter the next round—except not, as Mr. Glitch’s Ice Beam has quite the opposite effect. The ray of frigid energy strikes Autumn, who looks to be wilting on the spot. Beans, quick to exact revenge, jumps onto Mr. Glitch and delivers a powerful punching attack right to the digital duckie’s head. Uh-oh. Methinks Mr. Glitch looks a little addled.

Roswell zaps Heatblast with a toasty electric shock, while Autumn gives Mr. Glitch a little extra grief with some Amnesia. The Porygon blinks. Hrm, its memory drive seems to be momentarily fried. That’s no good. Atlas commands yet another storm of leaves to sweep across the field and slice up Verne, but the Turtwig's Special Attack is so low the move is reduced to a pitiful shadow of its former self. Verne replies with a storm of her own, though one much icier. Meanwhile, Anchovy commands a big ol’ blob of water to come sailing out of the nearby ocean to strike Beans. Though the hot sun tries to weaken the move a tad, the fishy’s favourable Special Attack more than makes up for that loss.

Finally, Heatblast is left immobile again. Oh, gods of Paralysis, have you no mercy?

Soon, Heatblast’s muscles recover from their little holiday and the Magby feels ready to deal a little damage! He speeds across the deck in a fiery red-orange blur and clobbers Roswell. Mr. Glitch tries to execute another Ice Beam, but between the Amnesia and the Confusion, it’s lucky he can even remember his own name. (It’s Simon, right?) While Mr. Glitch tries to overcome his momentary disorientation, Beans adds injury to insult with a second Dynamicpunch.

Roswell discharges a second electric blast just as Atlas chops up Verne a little further with a furious blast of more pointed leaves. Autumn spits out a barrage of seeds that at first seem innocuous; however, the little guys strike Anchovy and explode upon contact. Ouchies! Finally, Verne and Anchovy command a Blizzard and Surf respectively. Atlas and Beans don’t exactly look thrilled.

Aaaand take two! Everyone repeats their exact same moves again. Heatblast smacks up Roswell with a Mach Punch while Mr. Glitch sits there puzzled. Beans clobbers Mr. Glitch once again as Roswell fries up Heatblast a little further with a Shockwave. Autumn again Seed Bombs Anchovy while Atlas sends of a spinning storm of slicing leaves to do their worst against Verne. Finally, Verne and Anchovy again strike Atlas and Beans with their standby Ice and Water moves.

Woohoo. And so on.

Head spinning, Mr. Glitch stumbles a tad as it tries to execute its next move. Fortunately, it’s able to bypass his Confusion and subsequently begins gleaming. Its corners appear sharper and its edges seem all the more defined. Meanwhile, Beans leaps toward the Porygon hoping to clobber it up, but his fist arcs a little to the left and he misses his attack altogether. Atlas, who’s so weak at this point it looks as though a quiet breeze might do him in, decides to spectate this turn and merely remains there huffing and puffing.

Autumn, however, goes for a more proactive approach and commands a twister of sand to climb up onto the deck of the ship and spin its way toward Heatblast. The move strikes the Magby and the tiny sand motes leave him all cut up. Roswell, who’s definitely looking a little worse for the ware, succeeds in unleashing a powerful electric blast that crackles upon striking Heatblast. The Magby growls. No double teaming!

Verne shoots off a blast of water at Atlas with hopes to bring it down, but perhaps more due more to the attack’s weakness than the Turtwig’s negligible attempts to swallow the attack, Atlas lives. It’s Verne’s turn to growl this time. Oh, come on! Anchovy, meanwhile, finishes Roswell off with a little cough of flames. Just like that, the sturdy little Magnemite is donezo. Good work, little guy.

Finally, all eyes are on Heatblast as he spews a Flamethrower of his own at Autumn. The Turtwig begins to feel more like fried veggies with every turn.

And then there were seven! Mr. Glitch, proud to be the only inorganic fighter left, manages to overcome its Confusion altogether (yay, all gone!) and targets Beans with a crackling Thunder Wave. The move takes hold, causing the Magby, much like his counterpart, to lose a degree of muscle control. Atlas further targets Mr. Glitch with an Amnesia attack, addling the poor fire duckie’s brain a smidgeon. Then, Autumn bounds over toward Anchovy and begins spewing a barrage of seeds at Anchovy, causing the little sardine to go rolling back in pain.

Miffed, Anchovy isn’t out yet. He responds to that Bullet Seed with a Flamethrower of his own, scorching that Turtwig once again. Uh-oh. It looks like Atlas has suffered a burn from that attack. Verne is quick to move after this revelation, commanding a wave of salty water to lean out of the ocean and strike Heatblast for some potent damage.

Finally, Heatblast and Beans, paralyzed to the core, make their moves. Heatblast, still plagued by the sand, breathes hot flames all over Autumn, while Beans tries to remember how to pull off whatever attack it was she was trying to execute. DynamitePunch? DinosaurPants? Something like that?

Between its bypassed Confusion and Beans being unable to attack, Mr. Glitch feels on top of the world right now. And then, suddenly, it feels its Amnesia subsiding. Wow, yay! It celebrates by unleashing a trio of electric, fire and ice attacks that collide with poor Beans. Atlas, who’s somehow still alive, senses that the sunlight will soon vanish and opens himself to the warm rays and begins to regain some health. Huzzah! Autumn, meanwhile, continues its Bullet Seed barrage on poor Anchovy.

Verne and Anchovy perform their same attacks, a Brine aimed at Heatblast and a Flamethrower aimed at Autumn. Finally, sandy Heatblast manages to keep his muscles from seizing as he delivers Autumn another powerful Flamethrower, though Beans doesn’t have such luck, sadly.

As things take off, the battle’s toll on the seven remaining Pokemon appears evident. Mr. Glitch starts things off by spinning on the spot, thereby summoning rain clouds that spill water over the match. Autumn skips over to Anchovy and presses his little head sprout close to the fishy, causing life and energy to be drained from the fishy. Atlas then acts, commanding Leaf Storm #8238913 of the match to swirl across the deck of the ship before striking Verne, slicing her up something nasty.

And now the Remoraids seek revenge. Strengthened by the downpour, Anchovy’s and Verne’s Water-type attacks—a Water Pulse and a Brine respectively—strike the Magbys for some pretty potent damage. And now… oh man, now Heatblast and Beans are pissed and looking for vengeance! (Gosh, maybe violence only does beget more violence…) Though he’s no longer pestered by that Sand Tomb, Heatblast still struggles to move, realizing his muscles have seized up, but Beans has no problem directing a crackling Flamethrower at Atlas! Though the rain puts a damper on the move, the advantageous typing gives it enough kick to do Atlas in.

Just like that, we have our second casualty.

With each trainer again commanding the same amount of combatants, it’s anybody’s match. Motivated by this fact, Mr. Glitch begins spinning wildly. Suddenly, some of the darker clouds roil together. Um, this can’t be good, right? A single beam of lightning arcs downward before forking three separate ways, frying Autumn, Verne and Beans. The individual forks are smaller, however, than a regular Thunder; consequentially, the three fighters all split the damage. Verne, who's hurt more than the other two, finds herself locked by Paralysis this round.

Now the only Turtwig left, Autumn again skips over to Anchovy and goes for a second Giga Drain, sucking health and vitality from the poor little Remoraid and leaving it at the brink of defeat. Anchovy commands another Brine to strike Beans, but the exertion from the move causes him to flop his last flop. Yeah, he’s out, too.

With the fishy, Heatblast hurls a hunk of mud right at his fellow Magby. Beans stumbles around as the gunk strikes his face and, though he tries in his last few steps to land a Cross Chop on Mr. Glitch, the damage incurred by the mud is too much. He collapses. Goner.

In the aftermath of that explosive round, the trainers recall their fallen Pokemon to reveal four left. Heatblast and Mr. Glitch stare down Autumn and Verne. It's anybody's match.

At once, Mr. Glitch sets the pace as it unleashes a second Thunder attack which forks into two beams this time. Autumn takes damage from the blow, though the Electric-type move doesn’t seem to disconcert him too much, while Verne on the other hand faints from the powerful electric current. Then, Autumn unleashes a burst of explosive seeds that he’d originally planned for Anchovy, but, since the Remoraid is now swimming with the fishies (that expression seems somehow less effective when you’re using it in reference to an actual fish…), he fires the wee seedies at random… and they strike Mr. Glitch. Heatblast, without his expected target, scoops up his mud and flings it at Autumn, but the typing is in his favour as well.

Well Autumn is on zero energy, and against two opponents with SE attacks that have enough energy to attack three times, I know I'm not going to win this. I see no reason to do another round, so I concede defeat in favour of Charles Legend.

Yeah, that's fair. I was hoping the round would take Autumn out since, if he lived, he obviously wouldn't have much a fighting chance.

Cool. Great battle Charles, and since we're both gone into it with four un-evolved pokemon, I would love a rematch in the same conditions, when these pokemon are all fully evolved.
