===Round 1===

Here we go, got my lemonade. Ahh. Its refreshing, a nice lemonade in the midst of a desert setting. Well, there's only one reason I'd be out in this ever expanding desolation. To conduct my duties as a referee for this Gym Match. After offering a challenge to any young Trainer wishing to gain some small form of immortality-Meloveghosts found a contender in Dogfish44.

So without further ado, let's get this party started. MLG begins with Ore, a monstrous brute of a Pokemon-against Supershroom. Ore roars for a moment, and that seems to start up the Sandstorm that this place endures for 4 rounds. Both Pokemon shield their eyes from the initial blast, but then continue their instruction. Super runs over to what he thinks is Ore-he was positive that big lummox was by that giant obelisk thingie. Spotting that titanic beast, he quickly squatted down and shook as feverently as he could. The sands didn't really help, as they cut through the poison cloud his body emitted.

Ore watched with elation as the Shroomish steadily poisoned only itself.

Unsure why Shroom went through all that trouble to poison itself, Ore began to dance in place, enjoying the sands tickling against his skin. Shroom danced to the beat of a different drum, but the effect was the same for both Pokemon. They now had a hardened will to destroy each other.

Seeing Ore was complelty immobilied Supershroom flipped backwards and began to spin. His body began to rapidly fling out small but potent seeds, each colliding with that statuesque form. Even with the sandstorm, Shroom could see that the Ramparados was going down with each explosive hit of that Seed Bomb. The final seed was the largest, creating a megaton explosion right where Ore's head hit the ground.

So then, whom was this massive beast coming in from the lef-O snap. Ore raged in as he watched his sub become mincement, and connected with the little Pokemon, his fist pulsating with raw power. Shroomish went flying through the sandstorm for a good ways, and landed in a dune head first. That looked painful.

Shroom pulled himself out of the due, and looked around. Ore's footsteps were masked by the Sandstorm, damn. The sands ticked at his skin, but the poison healing him counteracted the effects.

===Round 1===

A few wriggles, and Shroom was free from the sands. He looked around swiftly, and noted the massive shape that was Ore heading right for him. Well he'd have a surprise for him. Shivering in place, his body began releasing a strange cloud of spores. Recognizing the dire effects this could have on him, Ore went into immediate action, blasting forth a superheated stream of flame.

Shroom stood his ground, wincing terribly as the heat fused the sands around him and enhanced the burning all over. But he kept making that cloud til the fiery rain stopped. The Spore cloud jettisoned right after that, striking Ore in the chest before pluming. The sands badly ripped away its instant potency, but there was still enough to knock the dino right out.

Shroom limped over to the lumbering giant, who was snoring soundly. Taking all the chances he could get, Shroom followed up with a massive deluge of seeds to rain down on Ore. The barrage battered the sleeping dinosaur, but Ore did not wake up. Though, the sleeper did move around a bit.

Glad that Ore was still knocked out, Shrromish gained a bit more confidence and decided to end this beasts slumber. With its ..wtf Shroomish dun have hands? Well with his belly, Supershroom jumped on Ore's face and slapped him with his feet. The echoing sounds must have reverberateed in Ore's big head and hurt his pea brain, cause that beast woke up with an angry start.

Shroom stood atop of Ore's head proudly, as the dinosaur swiftly lowered his body, so his arms could reach. Shroom spotted the fire appear on the pachycephalosaur's hands, and he tried to flee. He jumped off, and was uppercutted mid-jump. Shoooryuuken anyone?

===Round 3===

Quite upset with the fact that he was put to sleep so fast. Ore bellowed and swung his head from side to side while stamping his feet. Shroom didn't care for the giant tantrum this beast was delivering, and resumed spinning in place. That napalm strike of the grass variety went out, blending with the swift sands. Unlike last time though, Ore bellowed directly for the attack, creating a massive Fire Blast that engulfed a huge area.

The blast seared though the Seed attack and Shroom tried to make space. The hellion symbol landed on Shroom and inflicted a nasty burn as well as incinerated him.

Shroomish recovered from the hellish fire and heated sand, and spied Ore rooting at the ground. Was he trying to make a break for it? Oh no! Shroom went off running toward Ore, firing off a second deluge of Seeds. Ore dipped down this time and flung sand up in his furious attempt to evade being struck. His rear was caught by a few fast fallers, but not enough for full hampering.

Pissed off, Shroom waited. Then he had an idea! He shot the seeds straight up in the sky as hard as he could. The bunch of seeds firing in the distance made Ore smirk and up he laughed, blasting through the sand and knocking Shroom out of the way. Ore roared, thinking he foiled the small plant, until he noted Shroom laughing.

Ore looked through the sands above him, and winced as the seeds came crashing down onto him from all angles. He roared in anger as he fell on his side, itching like crazy.

Both Pokemon seem to already be on their last legs, and they've not even past one full Sandstorm cycle. Spotting Ore's legs Shroom decides to annihilate those. As the Seed bomb flies out in rapid fashion, Ore focuses on the small grass annoyance. The napalm strike hits and Ore winces in terrific pain, He keeps his cool and tries to establish that ethereal link that will bind their healths together...

alas, the Seeds are too powerful, and they wipe him out, despite having successfully dealt a meager blow to Shroom's health.

===Round 5===

Shroom relaxes in the wake of the sky. But that relaxation turns to fright as Daichimaru stomps out. In haste, the small plant builds up and fires a lethal Spore attack, as Dai tries to build a sand substitute in time. Sucks to be a lumbering rock, you really are kinda slow. The sub however, rises just in time and the Spore crashes against it!

Pressure was on now, and Shroom knew it. So he tried to whip vines out to try and disassemble that Sub. Rhyperior however, had different ideas. He ran over and jammed his massive horn into Supershroom. One cant of his head and Shroom went flying. Yeah I'm sure he's gone. The vines never reached their target.

===Round 6===

Dogfish doesn't quite back down here. Instead, he pushes forth with his second, a trusty female Gligscor by the name of Ectabat. Dai glares at the flier and begins to try and be as graceful as possible. It looks more like a strengthening dance, if anything, and it most likely is. But Dai notes that the sands start to shift heavily. He makes due, allowing himself to sink, as a Earthquake tries to shake things up. But with this much sand, its power is greatly reduced.

Sub still stands

Ecta: -8E ===///=== Dai: -3E +2 Atk Sub: 4

Ectabat notes that Sub sinking into the ground and flies towards it, but Daichimaru's form suddenly appears, She evades by barrel rolling to the left as a pair of jaws try to clamp onto her. She keeps moving left and right, avoiding the massive jaws until Dai extends farther than his feet can reach, tumbling over himself. Ecta glides to a safe vantage point, hyped up now.

Ecta: -3E +2 Atk ===///=== Dai: -4E

Daichi is slow to rise, but that's ok, as Ecta wastes that Sub with a well placed Aqua Tail over its head. The Sub shatters, and Ecta raises her Pincers in triumph. The victory is short lived as Dai clamps on her tail unknowingly, and bites hard, sending shocks of Ice all through her body. She lands on the sand and wriggles to get free, just as the winds begin to pick up.

Yes, the Sandstorm now engulfs the area, and Ecta smiles at that. She seems to fly better in this type of weather, to Dai's dismay

Within the perilous Sandstorm, Ectabat seemed right as rain. She sped around Daichi, whom tried to swat at the annoying scorpion. But she was damned fast in this weather, who knew? Daichi however, changed that for the worse, as he bellowed forth a huge torrent of icy cold wind. This all encompassing frigid factor mixed with the Sandstorm made for a torrential Blizzard hellion of barrages that knocked Ecta out of the sky and onto the sands.

Pissed off about the ice everywhere, but glad the sand deterred the freezing aspect, Ecta zipped forth. Her pincers sunk in the sand, so it was hard to generate lift off of the first flap. She reached a good springing height, enough to smack the offensive Daichi with a well placed Aqua Tail to the face.

Using the tail recoil to glide up, Ecta heard Daichi curse her name and yet, stood there, merely giving her a Spiteful look.

Daichi smirked as Ecta spun around and divebombed him again. He welcomed her with open arms, and didn't attempt to block her tail smashing his face with that horrid wet substance again.

But his hands were icy pillars of justice, and they summoned ice boulders to fall from the sky to crush Ecta. Ecta however, was damned fast and zipped backwards evading the Avalanche freefall.

Daichi sneered, that damn Sandstorm was helping her...

There's a four turn Sandstorm, then two turns without. Weather-moves are only usable in the two turns that the sandstorm is subdued. As soon as the two turns are over, the sandstorm is back. Earthquake is pretty ineffective due to all the sand; and the drought slightly lessens the power of water-pokemon or water-moves.

Ectabat looked at the obelisk. It seemed like her best shot, and she went for it. Daichimaru took a deep breath and fired, a Blizzard that intermingled with the sands again. Ectabat's speed allowed her to evade the massive winds just long enough to hide behind the pillar for a few brief few moments as the Blizzard.....continued? O jeez it was doing this all round!

The frigid temperature drop is all thanks to Daichimaru. Though not nighttime, Daichi felt it was time to freeze Ectabat. Bat was crafty though, and as the Blizzard reigned, she created a Protective barrier to fly in close with. Dai looked on with a bit of fear as that Tail came splashing in, hurting her jaw a bit.

Ecta felt her shield fading, and she dove to the dirt, digging as fast as she could. With the Blizzard whipping about, she took a light hit on her rear and tail, but nothing too drastic. Daichi finished up and looked around, noting he lost sight of the flier. Damn.

Daichi stomped around, obviously upset over the fact this Pokemon was hiding in the sands. She roared, and that was a perfect moment for Dogfish to come sweeping up and strike Daichi from below. Being hit, and being slow-Daichi was a bit lagged in realizing what he was hit by. But he caught a glimpse of Ecta and made a torrential effort to turn. As Ecta flew through the sandstorm, a massive deluge of cold chunks of air came in, and suddenly the Avalanche fell from the heavens.

Ecta fell to the sand, pissed off that the Avalanche took her down. Never again.

Ecta: -3E/-21H ===///=== Dai: -7E/-9H

Daichi followed up with a very subdued Blizzard, which carried with the Sandstorm. But Ecta bounded forth, and flew sideways, evading that first arctic blast! Daichi couldn't turn in time and was blindsided by a frothy Aqua tail! That hit, with the loss of energy, floored Daichi.

Unable to continue, Daichi roared as Ecta sat on top of his chest, and slammed a second Aqua tail home. Yeah, Ecta was plying for keeps.
