Ever heard of David vs Goliath, DarkestLight? That was my hidden reference in my last post (if someone can defeat a team of evolved Pokemon using unevolved Pokemon, that's a big accomplishment in itself).

I wonder who is going to come up with a Fighting-type team? Not that I'd not want to see one, but that's about the only thing that could give me a run for my money in this tournament, being Normal's only weakness. Then again, my Normal types can hold their own against Fighting types.

Oslo, as long as you have the skill, you can overcome a type disadvantage, it's certainly possible, if the situation arises.

But I never said I was hoping no Fighting types were going to be in this, I just wanted to be sure I'd be ready for them, incase I ended up against a Fighting type team with my Normal type team. You have to be ready for anything, not just in this tournament, but in both regular battles and gym battles, you'd be surprised how many curve balls are thrown here.

2. Selphie, CT's Magmar(F) - Flame Body Ability,

Alright. Instead of using the OP, I'm using this post. Since its Memorial Day weekend, I figure the Tournament can start on Monday. So take some time, relax, detox from computers-cause when this starts, oh its starting HARD! Smack talk is accepted in all forms.

This is a Single Elimination Tournament!

To reprise the rules so you don't have to look for them:
1) All battles are 2 vs 2
2) Each battle round has a theme, which the ref's will adhere to.
3) Upon completion of a match, the winner and loser get points as if for a normal battle. The Winner can then trade Pokemon out. If they trade a Pokemon out for one on their team, its no cost. If its to get another Pokemon from someone else, then the cost is as follows
1 pt for First Form.
2 pt for Second Stage
3 pt for Final form and Non Evo's.
All these points go to the pot-so yes, the Pot grows until the Championship match.
4) Pokemon with multi forms (Rotom) can be changed at no cost to the user since its still the same Pokemon.
5) For the battles, there are NO Damage Caps, a Strict DQ of 5 days, and the following moves are banned:
Reversal Moves (Counter, Mirror Coat, Bide, Endeavor and Metal Burst)
Non-Damaging healing moves (Recover, Synthesis and the like)

First Round of the Tournament!



THEME: Water Slide!

Your Pokemon will all be dumped onto a water slide. Yes, the entire battle, you'll be speeding along down an infinity long luge of water-that has many random loops and curls an connective tubes and its just a crazy awesome water park.. While blasting down the waterslide-Fire attacks are 1/4th as effective (because of the torrential amount of water always splashing around...>D). When a Pokemon is defeated, they will be dropped out of the tube and sent to the humongous water pool over to the right. No worries, Fire, Rock and Ground Pokemon do not incur damage from being hit by constant water.


Now GO! All battles must have a [T] next to them and must be posted in the B&T section Good luck! The person who's name is on top of the pair bracket will send out first. So, Since MLG fights CEB, MLG sends out first.

Banned Moves for the WHOLE TOURNAMENT: Non Damaging healing Moves, Reversal Moves (Counter, Mirror Coat, Bide, Metal Burst, Recover), Toxic.

Banned Moves for this round: Any physical move that needs external factors to work (eg Rock Slide..)

Earthquake can be used, but you then switch to a different tube system, rather than causing damage.

Left side: Elf

The right side is Complete! Second Round match up's can begin for those matches!!

The Arena for Round 2 is---Aztec Ruins!

Simple and straightforward, your team will battle another team on these crumbling ruins. There are no hidden traps persay, but if you cause enough collateral damage to the arena, the bridge you are on will crumble beneath your feet and you will land in a tar pit. You can attack from the tar pit, but you will be stuck in the pit until freed. And before you ask....

No the tar pit does not zap health.
No the tar pit does not smother you.
No the tar pit does not burn you.
No you can't dig in and out of the tar pit.

Banned for this round: None aside from the standard Tourney Banned moves.


This one should go over better and give me time to look over Round 3's arena then...
