Lafitte glanced at the rest of the group. "Lafitte," he murmured an introduction before heading for the door. There was nothing of real value in here, and staying here wasn't going to accomplish anything. He went to the door, opening it. "We should get going."

Marcus rolled his eyes. if this guy was trying to be some man-of-few-words-badass-action-hero, it wasn't working. "Well, somebody's not very talkative," He muderud. Lafitte opened the door and Marcus braced himself.

Survivors

The corridor is small at first, and then it opens out into a longer stretch. There appears to be more than one door, at a glance, although you cannot tell whether they are unlocked.

As you round the first corner, the sound of breathing fills your ears. You advance with caution, which is precisely what prevents you from tripping over the two unconscious bodies on the floor.

What do you do?


STARS - David

You sit down, tired after the adrenaline of your first fight leaves you. The stairs are dusty, and the carpet feelts abrasive under your fingers. The unconscious Evan lays at the side of you - you do not notice that his legs begin to twitch. And then his arm.

A noise escapes his mouth, and you lean down to check his pulse. A mistake. A hand reaches up and grabs you by the back of the neck - the fingers wrap in the material of your shirt collar and their uncanny strength pulls you forward, as if to move in for a kiss.

The noise Evan makes is unearthly, and the hairs stand up on the back of your neck as he sinks his teeth into your skin.

There is nothing you can do.

Marcus looked down, and his eyes widened as he saw two bodies on the floor.

"You guys keep your eyes open, I'm going to see if I can wake these two up." He whispered, kneeling down to check for a heartbeat.

"I think it would be best if you stayed away from them," the frenchman advised, remembering the paper he saw.

The virus is loose. That would explain what happened to this place.

He turned towards the sound of breathing, keeping an eye out for anything moving.

Survivors: Roxanne

These boys have no idea what they're doing, do they?

"Lafitte's right, Marcus." Roxanne joins them, but keeps a fair distance. "We've got no idea what's going on here. They could be armed. They could want us dead..."

"But if they're innocent, we can't just leave them here." Marcus argued. "Especially if they're alive."

"Fine." She pulls the gun out from her adoptive hoodie's pocket, pointing it at the two bodies.

"What are you doing?!" Lafitte took hold of her arm, pulling it down. "I know it's empty, but..."

"Exactly, it's empty. But they don't know that." She nods towards the two slumped on the floor. "It's a scare tactic. If they're out to harm us, they're gonna comply with our wishes since they think they have a loaded gun pointed to their heads. But if they're innocent, they're just gonna be a little scared." She jerks her arm from Lafitte's grip, resuming her previous pose.

"And what if they attack you anyway?" Lafitte frowns.

"Then we may all die." She replies, oddly cheerful. "Fancy waking them, Marcus?"

Survivors - Derek

.....

Derek groans, before rolling his head to the left. His right arm is asleep, noted probably by the twisted position he's in. Most likely the skinnier of the two bodies there, he finally moves his left hand, scraping at the ground. Its a unnerving feeling, forcing his eyes to open partially...and make out hazy outlines surrounding him.

Color and depth try to seep back in, but its hard. His head is pounding, his arms are aching and he's direly hungry. That left hand reached up at the closest one, barely able to hold itself up. Marcus turned and leaned back on his left foot just in case the arm sped up in its movement. Derek's eyes fluttered again, showing he was awake, but prolly not all there yet. But his hand was still extending, as if asking for help up.

He just lolled his head over and spoke the first few words that came to mind.

"....Chick be trippin' balls...."

Kat Blairre ~ Survivor
Location: Some random hallway

"Hey, are you awake?" The voice floated across what little consciousness I currently had. It was a young man's (or older boy's?) voice, which surprised me. Then again, it also surprised me that I wasn't being forced somewhere coupled with the fact that I was being asked if I was awake as opposed to being rudely woken up.

"I…I am, sort of…" I mumbled into my hair that was bunched in front of my face. I slowly opened my eyes, but because of the aforementioned hair I couldn't see anything but a blue blur. Slowly I reached for my hair to pull it out of my eyes' way and I immediately saw a flash of silver. My eyes quickly focused and I instantly recognized the shape of what was being pointed straight at me.

"Oh God please don't!" I cried out dropping my hair and placing my hands on the back of my head instinctively. "I…I don't know how I got here, honest! I was pulled out of my cell, felt something on my neck, and blacked out!" I could feel the tears starting to come, but I held them back out of fear that I would get shot for insubordination.

Ven stared at the corridor nervously, it was narrow and long and she didn't particularly feel like being trapped in there This entire place made her skin crawl, so maybe it was just her nerves, but that corridor didn't seem like the place she wanted to go.

"We should check on the others." She stated, flatly, hinting there was no way in hell she was going down that hall until they knew what happened to the other two. "I heard gunshots, I know it."

"You think they're in trouble?"

"Our luck they're probably shooting each other," Ven countered with a click of her tongue. "But we might as well see," she drew her firearm. "It might be something else."

The Captain's grip on his shotgun tightened a tad as he nodded. "You or me?"

Ven smirked, gesturing to the door. "Ladies first Captain, and be careful."

Another note for Survivors: None of your last actions counted as actions. This is the second time I'll point this out, and then you'll start getting penalties. See the Saferoom for more details on how you should layout your actions.


Survivors

Although no one has actually decided to do anything, you all look around you in between your social interactions. The corridor is long, and it has a branch on the right side. You cannot see what is around the corner, but you can see that further down the straight part there is a door right at the very end, directly opposite you, as well as another one on the left wall, about halfway down. Next to the end-most door you can just about see a small green smudge. Someone with good eyesight points out that it looks like a potted plant.

What do you do?


STARS

You open the door to the Main Hall with trepidation. Those gunshots didn't sound good, and you are slightly worried about Evan and David. Peering into the room you see that both David and Evan lay sprawled on the staircase, and you rush in to help them.

As you draw closer, you realise that something is off about your teammates. The angles of Evan's legs is all wrong, and David is covered in blood. Oh, they are also missing some chunks of flesh each. Definitely not good.

You look at each other, confused, when a noise from the pair makes you snap your head around to see them both getting jerkily to their feet.

“Evan?” You ask, nervous. “David? Are you guys alright?”

A moan is your only response, and then, with no warning, the pair lunge at you. Their eyes are dead and cold, and an odd smell wafts into your nostrils and makes you gag.

"I…I don't know how I got here, honest! I was pulled out of my cell, felt something on my neck, and blacked out!"

Marcus could see the tears starting to come as the girl pleated. "Alright Roxanne, that's enough." He said angerly, snatching the gun from her hands. He then turned to the girl.

"Listen, we don't know anything more than you do. Roxanne here is just a tight-ass. The gun is isn't even loaded." He said calmly, trying to comfort the girl. Suddenly, the other one mummbeled something.

"....Chick be trippin' balls...." Marcus began pulling him up. "Okay, I'm going to assume your delirious."

Survivors - Lafitte Demore

So, there are other survivors here.

Seeing nothing coming to eat them or something coming down the corridor, it was probably a safe bet to say there was nothing here. Letting the rest of the group comfort the newcomers, he slowly walked down to the left door, hoping to hear if there was anything beyond the door. At the same time, he kept an eye out down the right branch.

Jeremy Rush ~ STARS Captain
Location: Main Hall

Going through the door served only to confirm Ven's suspicions. There was definitely something not right about Evan and David. They were at the base of the stairs, both seemingly unconscious, and sprawled out in weird angles. Oh, and they seemed to be covered in blood, definitely not good.

I turned to Ven, who looked confused and shocked at the same time, but as I went to say something there was a shuffling noise from the staircase. We looked back to see the two of them jerkily standing up, like their muscles weren't working quite right.

"Evan? David? Are you guys alright?" I asked tentatively, fearing the worst possible response. Sure enough all I got for a reply was a low moan. I saw a flash of their dead-looking eyes, their peeling flesh, and suddenly they lurched forward.

I reacted instantly. Gripping my gun tightly and ignoring the horrible stench that suddenly appeared, I stayed focused on the dead-looking face of what used to be Evan and pulled the trigger.

Location: Some random hallway

At first I felt a little angry that they had threatened me with a gun for no reason, but then I remembered that they had every reason to suspect people being an enemy. One of the guys wandered off looking around, and as I turned back to the only other girl in the group (Roxanne if I remembered correctly) I noticed something.

"Um," I said, working up my courage, "how come you're wearing normal clothes while everyone else is in these embarrassing gowns?"

"Because these guys all offered them up and didn't seem to want them for themselves," she said with a small shrug.

"I still say you could'a had the dress…" one of the guys responded.

Roxanne went to respond but I was faster, "There's more clothes?!"

"Well, yeah, but it's a wedding dress," Roxanne answered, as if it weren't something she wanted to think about.

"I…I don't care, I can't stand wearing this thing anymore, it's too…" I searched for a word and, failing that, ended with, "…not very covering…"

Roxanne smirked, but it was a friendly one. "Fine, I think the path back is still clear." She turned to the guys, "Don't you run off on us, okay? We'll be right back."

STARS: Mofo, you better not bite me...

Ven had been waiting for this, no she hadn’t intended on it being fellow STARS members, but at long last she was going to be able to shoot something. Her gun had been trained on them the moment something hadn’t been quite right, and she was ready to exact some punishment on this creatures.

They’re wearing STARS armor… She thought, narrowing her eyes as her aim went to David’s head.

The stench was horrid, but the thought of being bitten and infected overrode Ven’s disgust with survival. A smirk played on her lips; she steadied herself and shot twice.

Survivors - Derek

"Naa. I'm aa'ight" He finally spat out in a clearer voice, holding his head still and using Marcus as a pole. As people began to move around, he pointed in the general direction of where Roxane was pointing the gun at him. "Naa. Chick with the burner...she trippin' balls." Evidently, he didn't hear that the gun was not loaded.

Ol' Derek was a ten track mind though, and as he opened his eyes and helped to clear their blearyness, he took a good look at everyone. Some had clothes on...some were girls...who were headed away toward some hallway. There was one dude walking toward the door he last remembered seeing before passing out.

Least, it could have been that door. Wobbly, using the wall for support, he stumbled past Lafitte and walked to the right hallway-toenails clacking against the floor. He felt his joints start to pop, the only sign he had left to know that blood was still flowing in his veins.

"Man, I'd even eat gruel right now off these floorboards, kid! Ima just stretch my legs...can't walk if I don't." He jokingly stated toward Lafitte as he fearlessly went to turn the doorhandle to the door Lafitte was listening to.

Survivors I

Luckily, there is nothing in between the small corridor and the office you just came from. You take the wedding dress and help Kat to struggle into it. It's a little bit big, but you are mostly just thankful to discard the horrible medical robes at last. The way back to the corridor is equally quiet – almost eerily so, and you breath a sigh of relief when you are once again back with the other survivors.

What do you do?


Survivors II

Listening at the door yields absolute silence, so you are somewhat glad when Derek pushes it open. The girls join back with you, just as you peer into the room, which is small and box-like. There is a Typewriter stood on a tall table in one corner, and one item hidden somewhere within.

What do you do?


STARS

Three shots ring from your respective guns – two connect squarely in the middle of Zombie David's forehead, and the third hits Zombie Evan in the cheek. Both of them are knocked off-balance by the hits, giving you enough time to square back off and circle for the next round.

Survivors - Lafitte

Lafitte breathed a sigh of relief as he stepped into the room. Nothing nasty that would hurt them here. "Clear!" he called out to the others, letting them know it was safe to come in. He stepped into the room, looking around for anything of you.

Jeremy Rush ~ STARS Captain
Location: Main Hall - BOSS BATTLE

My fired shot took a chunk of rotted flesh off the face of the Zombie-formerly-known-as-Evan. Ven's gun rang out twice beside me, and must have connected because both of our targets faltered. Not wasting any time I took a quick step back, pumping my shotgun as I did.

"Head shots seem to work well," I said, "but they appear to be quite resilient."

"Guess we just need to keep shooting them, then," Ven replied with a smile.

"Indeed," I agreed. "Time to kick it up a notch," I added, looking through the sight this time. I focused on Zombie-Evan again, and since I had more time to aim properly, focused straight at his nose as a good central target. I pulled off one shot, reloaded, and fired a second.

Location: Some random hallway

As Roxanne walked with me back towards the office, I felt a little relieved. "I'm glad that you guys came by, I'd hate to think of what might've found us if we had been left unconscious there…" I trailed off as I ended up doing just that, but then shook my head to stop the horrible thoughts.

"Well, it was lucky too 'cause we had been locked up in cages until not too long ago," she replied as she pushed open the office door. "It's over here," she added, pulling out what looked like a large fluff of white from a locker against the wall.

It was definitely a wedding dress, that was for sure. It was kinda dingy and had spots where moths had started nibbling away at it, but it was mostly intact. The train was mostly in tatters, though, so we ripped it off.

"You need help?" Roxanne asked, and I nodded. I was a little hesitant to just drop the gown, but then realized that (a) we were both girls anyway, and (b) from what I could tell Roxanne was the kind that didn't care about that kind of thing.

Sure enough she didn't seem fazed at all and went straight to helping me pull the dress on. I felt the dress as she zipped the back up, finding it to be slightly loose, but it was much better than just the stupid gown. "Might've fit me before I got captured…" I muttered.

Roxanne gave me a semi-stern look and said, "Hey, if it's not falling down, we should get back to the boys before they wander off somewhere." With that we left the office and headed back down the hallway we had just come.

Naturally by the time we had gotten back to the boys they had already opened a door. Roxanne made a scoffing sound, but didn't yell at them; I guessed because they had really only opened the door and hadn't gone into the room. Well, most of them, anyway, as a voice of one of them rang out from the room to let us know that it was safe to go in.

I wasn't really interested in the room at that point, though. We had noticed a small green object earlier, before I had gotten distracted with the dress (which although it was sort of embarrassing wearing it, it was far less so than the gown). Someone had said it looked like a plant and I had to agree, but I wasn't going to go check it out on my own.

"Um, is anyone interested in that plant-like thing we noticed earlier?" I asked to nobody in particular. "It seems a bit out of place, I think…" I wanted to come out and say that I wanted to go look at it, but I was still with a group of people I barely knew, stuck in a too-large wedding dress while four guys around me still wore only medical gowns. My gusto was currently way out to lunch.

"Yeah, I'll check it out," the one called Marcus said, turning away from the room that was now open. As he turned and looked at me, he must've read what I was hoping, as he added, "You want to come with me, Kat?"

I nodded meekly, letting him pass me before I started following him down the hall.

Survivors – Jason Rogers

If anyone had been paying attention, they would’ve noticed that Jason was rather quiet. He’d like to think it was the ‘don’t bother me’ kind of quiet, although he suspected that they’d perceive it as the mute kind of quiet.

So it was no surprise then when that one tough, if not somewhat funny (the good kind of funny) man said, “you.”

Jason merely make some gesture with his hands and eyebrow. What?

“You too quiet. More quiet than even them church mice. Whassamatter with you, man?”

It was at this point that others began to comment on how they never heard him speak, how he never told anyone who he was.

“Maybe he’s mute,” Marcus commented.

“…shit no, bro,” Jason said, although given that he was mumbling, it sounded more like some foreign language.

They’d certainly come to a different conclusion about him if he just stop at that (he imagined Korean, or Japanese) so he said, slowly but clearly, “Jason. Tho I’d usually say, ‘I’m Jim Morrison, I’m dead.’ I mean, shit… Jim Morrisson, man…”

The rest just shrugged at that, made a few comment on communicating, and continued doing whatever it was that they were doing (which would involve a certain amount of looking around for stuff). Jason, swinging back to silent mode, thought that he might as well check out the typewriter, since it was sitting there and all.

"Um, is anyone interested in that plant-like thing we noticed earlier?" Kat asked to nobody in particular. "It seems a bit out of place, I think…"

Marcus thought to himself. "She wants to go, but she's too scared to do it alone. Understandable. Still...Heck with it"

"Yeah, I'll check it out," Marcus said, turning away from the room that was now open. As he turned and looked at her he added, "You want to come with me, Kat?"

She nodded meekly, letting him pass before she started following him down the hall.

Survivors - Derek

Opening the door, Derek had one hand on the frame to steady himself if something came out. But to his luck, the room was clear. He moved past Lafitte with slow lengthy stride as he called to the others that the room was clear. It was then that he dawned on somethng.

His foot was bleeding. Not making any audible sounds about it though, he quietly lifted his foot and pulled out the splinter he stepped on. Setting his foot down softly...it didn't hurt at all.

"...Can we go check door number two, I don't like the consolation prize here Bob." he stated to everyone in earshot as he posed by the typewriter. One of the others came to inspect it, and Derek shuffled off, looking left and right. "Tough crowd..."

STARS: Sucks to be you.

You are one ugly motherfucker... Ven thought, training the gun back onto David's head again. The creature stumbled and snarled, skin dead and gray from the disease.

"At least they're upfront about betraying us," Ven offered, her eyes not leaving her target as Rush's first shot rang out.

Her's followed shortly, she again fired twice, hoping to put it down.

Survivors I

The corridor is relatively boring – the walls are uniformly coloured, like most everything, and they are patched with a disgusting-looking mould-like substance. It emits a strange smell, and you try to breathe shallow. The potted plant turns out to be a Green Herb, in a terracotta plant pot. You remember reading somewhere that Green Herbs can be used as makeshift medical supplies in a pinch.

What do you do?


Survivors II

On the table with the typewriter, there is a small scrap of paper tucked underneath one corner of the machine. Your search also reveals that the hidden item was a Handgun – a Beretta 92F/FS. It is fully loaded with one 15-round magazine of ammunition.

What do you do?


STARS

Your superior training allows you to quickly reload after firing your first shot. Evan staggers back after the first, but quickly recovers – not quickly enough, however, as your second shot takes his head clean off, splattering you with disgusting-smelling gore.
David is slightly distracted by his comrade's demise, which allows you to quickly get off two more headshots. He is openly oozing from many wounds now, and he has staggered backwards and fallen up the stairs. You have a chance for a finishing move, which you take – stamping down, hard, on David's exposed crotch. It shatters beneath your STARS-issue combat boots, coating them with a layer of filth. Your old team members have breathed their last diseased air as all life is expelled from them.

Survivors - Derek

Shuffling around the room, Derek finally spots something he's been dying to get his hands for however long he's been here. The smooth feel of the nozzle almost gives him a reason to attempt running and hiding this discovery from everyone, but he knows better.

"Yo yo!! Who wants the gat? I mean, I'd take it, but.. " he holds up his arms, reminding everyone he has no pants on as he saunters toward the door. "I'm free-ballin' right now."

"This... was an awful idea" Marcus thought to himself, practically choking on the thick, disgusting air.

"There it is!" Kat said excitedly. She ran over to a potted plant and pointed inside. "Can you tell what it is?"

"It looks like a Green Herb." Marcus said thoughtfully. "I read about it somewhere. Makes a good makeshift medicine. I think you pick it like this..." Marcus slowly snapped the plant off.

"There. I've got it. Ready to head back to the others?"

Laffite almost gagged at Dereks words. "I did not need to hear that," he muttered. He figured it was best if he kept it anyway. He looked like the kind of man who knew how to use a gun.

He noticed the slip of paper beneath the typewriter, pulling it out and reading it.

STARS: Mofo, they died.

“They dead?” Rush questioned.

Ven snorted, keeping aim on the two lifeless bodies on the floor. Of course apparently lifeless didn’t mean much in this place, as they had come back to life, and had shuffled towards them.

Not really menacingly, no Ven imagined there were probably worse things. Something bigger, with more teeth and with better motor skills.

Fantastic, really.

“They better be.” Ven replied, shooting the captain a look. “I don’t want to waste any more ammo on their ugly faces.”

He shook his head, amused. “You have a way with words Ven.”

“Damn straight,” She smiled. “We should take their weapons, they won’t be needing them.”

“Got me covered?”

“Yessir.”

"They dead?" I asked. I was pretty sure Zombie-Evan was due to his lack of head, but I couldn't really be sure even then. Zombie-David was harder to tell, but from the sound it had made when Ven, er, 'finished' it, I hoped it was as well.

Ven walked back from David's zombified body, her boot covered in zombie gunk. "They better be," she said, giving me a look. "I don't want to waste any more ammo on their ugly faces."

I smirked and shook my head, "You have a way with words, Ven."

She just smiled, replying, "Damn straight." She glanced at the fallen bodies, "We should take their weapons, they won't be needing them."

Her tone implied that she wanted me to pick them up, which was fine by me. Honestly I knew she just wanted to shoot some more stuff, so I holstered my gun and asked, "Got me covered?"

"Yessir," came her reply, as she readied her gun again. Slowly and cautiously I reached for the holsters off of our fallen teammates.

Location: Some random hallway

Marcus muttered something about the disgusting air as we walked down the hallway, but I wasn't paying attention. The air was rank with a horrible smell from the walls, and I felt slightly dizzy from it.

Suddenly I noticed that I could see the plant more clearly, calling out, "There it is!" before rushing ahead to the pot. It didn't look like anything I had ever seen before, so I asked Marcus, "Can you tell what it is?"

"It looks like a Green Herb," he said, his brow furrowing from thought. "I read about it somewhere, makes a good makeshift medicine. I think you pick it like this…" His hands slowly reached over to the plant, gently detaching it from the pot. "There, I've got it. Ready to head back to the others?"

"Definitely," I agreed, "the stench here is starting to get to me." We turned from the pot and started back towards the other group, all of whom seemed to have gone into the other room.

The feel of the gun is comforting in your hand, which helps somewhat as Lafitte begins to read out the note that was tucked underneath the typewriter.

It escaped. It fucking escaped! They told us the precautions were all in place but I guess that was all a fucking lie. We're stuck here, now. There's literally no way out. I have no idea how it's getting around, but I heard someone scream yesterday.

STARS

Bending over, you quickly strip your former comrades of their weaponry and ammunition. You each take a weapon and spare clip, and pack them away in any space you may have. You are filled with a slight feeling of sickness at the sight of your dead team-mates, but there was nothing you could have done for them.

Survivors - Derek

"Well then." Derek coughed for a moment, feeling his chest tighten up. Prolly due to stale air for the last few months, everything has this weird taste to it. Everything that he could remember eating. Eating! That's what he wanted to do!

As Kat and Marcus entered, holding some sort of herb, he piped up-pointing the gun down and to the side."I don't know about you all, but I'm hungry, and I think its time we raid something. Use that thing there as a garnish, yeah?"

He slowly pardoned himself out of the room and headed for the last door. Reaching the end of the hallway to where it stood, he waved to the others "Nothing to it!" Hands reached around the doorknob...and he forced his body to exhale before turning it, gun up.

Marcus listened to Derek's "Plan" and shuddered. He then leaned over to Kat.

"20 bucks says the minute he opens the door something ugly comes out and attacks him. I don't know about you, but thiers a branch I saw on the way here that is looking pretty inviting. Wanta come?"

Kat looked nervously at the door and then back at marcus.

Going to the branch in the hallway and inviting kat. VP can answer the question.

Roxanne- Survivin'

Since her gun had been taken so rudely from her, it was logical that she should follow someone with a weapon. She chose Derek, mostly because he seemed to have some kind of forward thinking. The others seemed reluctant to go through this door, but she figured they had nothing to lose.

"I've got your back." She told him, standing on the other side of the door.

"Yeah?"

"If there's some nasties, I'll just slap 'em." She shrugged.

Survivors I

As you walk down the smaller branch of corridor, you notice that there are two doors down there – one of them is directly ahead of you, massive and metal, and the other is to your right, a few paces before you reach the Massive Door.

The Massive Door has a complex-looking mechanism all across it, and to its left there is a keypad and a slot that looks like it will take a keycard. The keypad is numerical and the buttons are round and worn in places from use.

The smaller, second door is just a normal door. It is wooden and plain, and it holds the same sort of handle and lock combination you have seen elsewhere.

You reach out your hand to turn the handle but pause as a strange noise finds its way to your ears. Sounds like a shriek! You look at each other, momentarily worried for your fellow Survivors.

What do you do?



Survivors II

You push open the door warily. It opens outwards into another corridor that goes off to your left and right. Edging in, you look around and take stock of your surroundings. There are three other corridors leading off from this one – Branch 1 is the furthest right, Branch 2 is on your left and Branch 3 looks like a corner. Branches 1 and 2 are equally distanced from the door you just walked in through and all three of them lead South.

Looking up, you notice that there seems to be an abundance of air vents in this area. Some of them have their metal bars worryingly on the floor beneath them, and the one directly in front of you has an alarming amount of blood dripping from it. There are blood smears elsewhere on the walls.

There is a sudden clicking sound and you spin around, trying to find out where it's coming from. Must be around one of the corners. You are filled with a sense of dread and foreboding that does not lift when there is a shriek from down one of the branches. It doesn't sound human...

What will you do?

Marcus Venton-Survivor

Marcus turned the corner (without kat mind you) and sat two MORE doors. One was massive and looked important, while the other was normal looking.

"Great," Marcus said to himself. More places for us to spilt up and get killed off." He the heard what sounded like a human shriek from were he left the others. "Speaking of getting killed off." Marcus said, rushing back to the others but making a note to remember the important looking door.

Jeremy Rush ~ STARS Captain
Location: Main Hall

"Well, we've salvaged what we can," I said as I pocketed Evan's gun, "no use trying to collect anything else that we can't carry." Ven nodded as she put David's into her own pocket. Already we were probably carrying too much, but we could discard the extra weapons later if needed.

"So, Captain," Ven started in her infamous sarcastic tone, "what's our plan now?"

"Well…" I started, looking around and trying to ignore the bodies on the floor. I glanced and noticed another body on the stairs, about as mutilated as our companions were now. "Huh, guess we know how they got infected…" I said, pointing at the body.

"So the thump we heard earlier…" Ven said, thinking back. "Bah, better off dead if they were gonna be that stupid not letting us know about that."

I said nothing, but agreed to some degree. They knew that we were possibly going to find more infected, but to not tell us that they had already come across one was pure stupidity and it put our task and lives in jeopardy. Unfortunately they had decided to learn that the hard way, and there was no going back now.

I finished scanning, then said, "Well, let's be as complete as possible, round the room of doors." I walked over to the right-hand door closest to the main doors, made sure Ven was behind me, then reached for the handle.
