Sage takes the offensive by shooting off a collection of razor-sharp razor leaves that swiftly slash against the antlion, critically crippling him [ -10HP Lyg / -3PP Sage ]. Lyg pulls himself back together long enough to summon the same series of rocks from before to crush Sage [ -7HP Sage / -4PP, -1HP Lyg ].

The cave becomes darker and darker as Sage begins absorbing all the sunlight (as little as is there), giving Lyg an advantage of a stealthy slap. As the darkness envelops the arena, Lyg cloaks himself. A few seconds pass, and he reveals himself behind Sage, tackling him with dark energy [ -6HP Sage / -4PP, -1HP Lyg ]. Sage takes the attack in stride before releasing all the pent-up solar energy in a flash of light, hindering Lyg's eyesight [ -5PP Sage / -10% Accuracy Lyg ].

With his sight forfeit, Lyg is defenseless against Sage's followup: another large seed bomb [ -12HP Lyg / -5PP Sage ]. Lyg, exasperated, fires off a small collection of leeching orbs that affix themselves to Sage, draining away a tiny amount of health [ -3HP Sage / -5PP, +2HP, -1HP Lyg ].

Round 4
Before Lyg can even react, Sage fires off a concussive beam utilizing the rocky cave setting. The beam of rock energy collides with Lyg, dealing light damage [ -4HP Lyg / -5PP Sage ]. Lyg shakes off the attack before shooting off a beam of energy of his own. The earth-based attack, however, is far more dangerous to Sage [ -11HP Sage / -4PP, -1HP Lyg ].

Lyg continues the assault by stamping the ground with his forepaws, sending a shivering rupture throughout the cave. Sage attempts to leap into the air in avoidance, but the crumbling below messes with her footing [ -15HP Sage / -7PP, -1HP Lyg ]. When the quake finishes, Sage counteracts by firing off a large seed bomb that collides with Lyg [ -12HP Lyg / -5PP Sage ].

Finally, the third act: Lyg charges up a great deal of energy, and, upon seeing this, Sage makes his own preparations. Within a moment, Lyg has charged up the required amount, and fires out a beam of that energy that collides into Sage's protective barrier, effectively doing nothing at all [ -10PP, -1HP Lyg / -13PP Sage ].

As Lyg takes a few moments to recharge his batteries, Sage takes this opportunity to throw out his vicious vines. They wrap around the resting ruffian, sapping away his strength [ -9HP, -1HP Lyg / +5HP, -6PP Sage ].

As soon as the vines leave him, Lyg readies himself for attack. But Sage has already shot out his next attack. Knowing that he's going down, Lyg stamps his foot to the ground, sending out another shivering (albeit weak) shockwave that ruffles Sage's leaves [ -5HP Sage / -3PP, -1HP Lyg ]. The seed bomb then connects [ -6HP Lyg / -5PP Sage ], making Lyg the first casualty of the battle.

Round 6
Lyg is recalled and, just as quickly, replaced by Dryk's next pokemon, Toggle. Tog's a small creature -- a baby togepi that probably hatched not too long ago, but Dryk remains confident in her abilities.

Tog snaps her fingers and is joined by several clones, totalling four togepi altogether [ -6PP, +75% Eva Toggle ]. Sage keeps his cool, however, and as the four togepi slowly envelop him, he shudders about, releasing a wave of pheremones to cloud Tog's judgment [ -3PP Sage / +25% Atr Toggle ].

Tog's concentation wanes, but she manages to keep herself collected enough to retain at least two of her clones -- the third having poofed out of existence almost as quickly as the drug entered her system [ -9% Eva Toggle ]. The young togepi stares down her grass opponent, snapping her fingers rhythmically. This creates a torrent of flames from seemingly nowhere that wrap around Sage, burning his body easily [ -14HP Sage / -9PP Toggle ]. Sage pulls himself together after tucking and rolling to extinguish the flames, and deliberates. Uncertain of which Tog is the real Tog, he takes a chance and fires his venomous volley at her -- it hits a clone [ -7PP Sage / -16% Eva Toggle ].

Tog, blissfully unaware that there's only one clone left, begins act three by lifting Sage up in the air with her mind. Sage's head begins to ache painfully as he is slammed into the cavernous floor repeatedly [ -14HP Sage / -9PP Toggle ]. Tog giggles to herself before getting pegged by a blast of toxins from Sage's body -- simultaneously poisoning her and disabling her evasive tactics outright [ -5PP Sage / -50% Eva, Tox, -1HP Toggle ].

Sage collapses to the ground below, nearly defeated.

Round 8
Round eight begins with Mokey Mokey, a tiny, frightened looking whismur summoned by the Green Lanturn. Immediately upon entering the battle, Mokey conjures up a doppleganger clone [ -15HP, -7PP Mokey M. / +15HP M. Mokey ]. Toggle attempts to give this pokemon his poison, but nearly gives herself an aneurysm trying to do so [ -8PP, -2HP Toggle ]. Mokey snickers.

A split-second later, the arena is flooded by a chillingly cold wind. Toggle begins to freeze [ -12HP Toggle / -11PP Mokey M. ], but she immediately bounces back as soon as the blizzard ends, punching the Mokey doll with her tiny, balled-up fist [ -6HP M. Mokey / -5PP, -2HP Toggle ].

With Toggle still distracted by the doll, the real Mokey charges at her, slamming down with his tiny appendages for great damage [ -15HP Toggle / -11PP, -10% Spd Mokey M. ]. Toggle, upon picking herself up, tries to make the doll sleepy by yawning... to no avail [ -2PP, -2HP Toggle ].

Toggle, now faster than her foe, snaps her fingers and unleashes a devastating fire whip that wraps around the Mokey doll and snaps, setting it ablaze for just a few seconds [ -9HP M. Mokey / -7PP, -3HP Toggle ]. Mokey, meanwhile, unscathed by the recent attacks, opens his mouth wide and unleashes a wave of sound energy that knocks Toggle off her feet for a bit [ -9HP Toggle / -5PP Mokey M. ].

The second act begins similarly to the first, with another flamethrower enveloping the Mokey doll -- this time crumbling it to pieces [ -6HP M. Mokey / -7PP, -3HP Toggle ]. Mokey pays it no mind and slams down his tiny appendage one more time, causing great pain to the togepi [ -15HP Toggle / -11PP, -10% Spd Mokey M. ].

Toggle pulls herself back together and closes her eyes. With Mokey's distraction eliminated, she is free to shift the poison that has stricken her body from herself to the sound-based pokemon fluidly [ -10PP, -Tox Toggle / Tox, -3HP Mokey M. ]. Mokey, now frustrated, lashes out once more with his voice, sending down a shivering unease towards Toggle [ -5HP Toggle / -2PP Mokey M. ].
