Ok I will be using my Male Steelix Crystal Doom with Sturdy and My newly aqquired yet unamed Claydol (N/A) with Levitate.

Crystal I want you to start off with a Sandstorm then 2 Earth Powers on Toxicroak.

Claydol I want you to Psychic Toxicroak then Zen Headbutt Gengar before Psychic'ing Toxicroak again.

Ok lets start with this....

Gengar wait for the Sandstorm then counter it with Sunny day before using Hypnosis on Claydol. Regardless of result end with a Fire Punch at Steelix.

Toxicroak start with a Sucker Punch at Claydol then use Role Play to steal its levitate ability and gain your own ground immunity. If Gengar manages to put Claydol under then turn on Steelix with a Cross Chop. If not then X-Scissor on Claydol.

Ugh. Vietnam! AUYUUUGH! Naa, its cool. DL here, making my way around some trip wires...damned Cong won't get to me, I'll let ya know! But, as I reach a break in the trees, I spot UC and Elf already releasing their Pokemon. Damnit, and that's what I get for taking the long route.

UC's Gengar and Toxicroak make a stand against the ground dominance of Steelix and Claydol. The battle starts with Steelix forcing the wet ground to relinquish the harsh minerals of the land, and have them swirl about in a chaotic manner. Gengar and Toxicroak both don't approve, and Gengar takes things into her own hands. Toxi watches the ghost shoot skyward and perform some sort of funky chicken dance. The skies however, part and the sands fall back into the moist dirt. CD looks none too pleased.

Happy that his vision is back, Toxi then feels a horrid shiver down his spine and lunges left. He is able to fully preemptive strike Claydol with a savage Sucker Punch, forcing Claydol's Psychic to fly high, only hitting him partially.

Yay, add more heat, humidity...doesn't drop cause were in VIETNAM BABY! More more more! Anyway, Gengar flies back down to actually join the fight. She stops in front of the miffed Claydol, and Toxicroak lunges backwards to give CD a moment of contusion. Claydol is startled by the newcomer and is hit dead on with the Hypnotic weaves. Gengar should have moved though, as Claydol merely blasted itself forward through the waves, smashing Gengar pretty heavily.

CD tries to hit Toxicroak with a series of Earth Powers, bu the frog manages to hop around and evade them with little trouble at all. CD stops the barrage and Toxi glares at Claydol. All at once, there seems to be a removal of abilities, and Toxi smiles...

Feeling his body rise above the earth, Toxi shoots straight up as CD tries for another Earth Power. Toxi feels this coming and watches the blast blow on by from the ground, unable to even touch him. Being free of the ground felt amazing. Toxi dove back into battle, as Gengar recovered her senses from that massive hit. The pair of Pokemon ganged up on Steelix, Gengar landing on CD's massive head and punching it with a fire imbued fist.

Toxi landed on CD's midsection, and slammed its fighting trained hand right down the center, Chopping right to the spinal nerve. That have the massive steel snake something to roar about and it shook them off with extra anger.

No sir, as the pair of poison Pokemon floated backwards-this wasn't gonna be easy. Claydol slept soundly, unable to help.

Toxicroak start with a Fire Punch and follow with a Focus Blast at Steelix. If Claydol is awake go for a Dark Pulse. If not then a Cross Chop at Steelix.

Gengar go with a Confuse Ray at Steelix then another Fire Punch and a Focus Blast to finish all at Steelix.

Yo been trying to post here all day.

Elf, Bulbapedia says that Toxicroak can learn Role Play.

Sides, I tested it, It works. I then cross referenced a bit, and every fighting type learns Role Play somehow. So yeah. Your turn.

Fair enough, I also checked. On Bulbapedia on the Croagunk and Toxicroak page, it says they both can't learn it. Yet on the Role Play page it says they can. Anyway its not much of a problem just thought it would allow the Earthpowers to hit.

Crystal your going to play a little trick on them, start off by using Protect to block the incoming Confuse ray and Fire Punch, then get in a quick Dig + Double Team Combo. Make the clones then quickly dig underground to hide yourself. Then get your clones to go in between Gengar and Toxicroak. So hopefully when they go to attack them they fly right through and hit each other.

Claydol use Snore on Toxicroak until you wake up and when you do use Gravity to bring Gengar and Toxicroak to your level, then if you have more moves hit Toxicroak with Psychic.

The match continues, with Crystal looking over at the two poison types. They were eyeing her far too closely for any thing good to come of it. Toxi lunges forth first, as Gengar flies in front of her and tries to blind her with a menagerie of light. She glints, a LARGE shield enveloping her. Toxi strikes her backside but goes bouncing off.

At that moment, Claydol snores, catching Toxi off guard. That was loud.

Not pleased by bouncing off, Toxi floats up and charges up a huge attack. But Claydol isn't having it! A Second Snore makes the frog lose its concentration! He ribbits loudly at the sleeping fool, upset that even in its sleep its plain aggravating.

Crystal appreciates the help, even as Gengr gets in a speedy Fire Punch~ Damnit! Crystal roars and splits into 5 copies, all while digging underground. So wait, now 4 clones just move around up top here, and the real Crystal is underground.

Not sure what just happened, Gengar just goes for the first mass of steel wriggling about. Its Focus Blast from the air goes unobstructed, and blows up a land mine, as well as that clone. Holy crap! Toxi strains to float up before diving down and slamming a hand right down on the closes Steelix. Nope, that one sweeps through air, and OMFG ANOTHER SNORE! WAKE IT UP!!!

Sigh three rounds of sleep, that some uber gayness. Anyway ok Claydol keep on Snoring at Toxicroak until you wake up then hit Gengar with a set of Psychics. However if both of them try to attack you at once or about to get Taunted use Protect. Yet if they do taunt or torment you then sub out for Zen Headbutt.

Crystal I want you to abandon you dig and use your upward momentum into a Crunch into Gengar then let loose a Sandstorm to get rid of the sun. Finish with another Crunch on Gengar. Yet if they try to get the sun back or the sun is still out use Sandstorm again, if they try to taunt you use Protect.

Toxicroak lets go with an Earthquake to try and catch Steelix before it comes up then follow that with an Ice Punch at Caydol. End the round with a Cross Chop on Steelix.

Gengar is gonna play some tomfoolery. First off use Nightmare on Claydol then turn and Taunt Steelix making its Sub kick in. After that while its trying to bring the sun back out i want you to use Hypnosis on Steelix.

Round 3

With the clones still milling around, Toxi decides to eliminate that snake once and for all. The ground starts to buckle where Crystal starts to head up, but Toxi falls to the ground faster than Crystal can dig out from it. A massive shockwave hits, ripping the clones apart and ..oh snap. Claydol's awake!

A groan can be heard from under the ground, as Gengar's subsequent attack did the trick to waking Claydol up. Claydol blasted Gengar back with a powerful Psychic attack, leaving the ghost dazed. Crystal ruptured from the ground just then and even though hurt terrifically, still latched onto the phantom and bit down. Gengar fell in a crumpled heap, completly battered already.

Both teams were hurting now, and Claydol's return to the match made things all sorts of awkward. The floating bell of sorts looked to Toxi, whom flew at it with all sorts of ice crystals embedded in its fist. At the last second, a warpation of energy enveloped Claydol, bending Toxi's fist momentum upward and away from Claydol.

Gengar got back to her feet, as Crystal looked at this blistering sun. But the ghost was saying something, Ohhh no. Not to those ears. Crystal raised her Protective barrier, Gengar smirking as she flew back up to a manageable height.

Well, THAT wasn't nice. Gengar now switched tactics and fired off a new set of Hypnotic waves, this time to Crystal. Crystal's too preoccupied with trying to filter the sunlight, gets caught up in the waves and barely registers Toxi flying at him full speed. Well, falling. Toxi's levitate was running out, but with a mighty leap, he tried for the Cross Chop.


But he fell short, Levitate conking out just a few feet shy. Crystal lulled over though, right as Gengar was battered by another Psychic batallion from Claydol. No, the bell is MAD!

Now Crystal sleeps, but Gengar is worse for wear. Toxi is land bound again, and Claydol seeks vengeance! Huh and look at that. Sun sets all on its own.

Right. Toxicroak lets finish that Steelix. Start with another Cross chop. If its still standing use low kick till it is. If it goes down turn and use Shadowballs on Claydol.

Gengar run interference and start with a Confuse Ray then follow that with a Pain Split both on Claydol. End the round with another Hypnosis.

Ok Claydol get up a Substitute as quick as you can to stop the confuse Ray from hitting you and that should also screw up his Pain Split and Hypnosis, then hit him with a super powered Psychic, that should send him down. Focus your attention on Toxicroak with another Psychic. However if Gengar doesn't fall then hit it with another Psychic.

Crystal since you asleep Toxicroak with Sleep Talk to get some damage on him. If you wake up hit Toxicroak with Earthpower.

Round 4

The dense jungle plus the intense heat make for an interesting match now, as Crystal and Gengar both look the worse for wear. Gengar makes move much faster than Claydol can expect and goes for a Confuse Ray. Claydol tries to make a Sub, but instead wilds up grabbing something with its mental powers...Oooh, its a trip wire!

Whoa! Lucky for Claydol-there goes a rope trap. barely missing it. But that Pokemon is confused now. Crystal snores away and Toxicroak gets in its damage while it can. Target not moving, that Cross Chop came at a hefty price. He connected right at what seemed to be a chink in Crystal's armor, and that Tail whirled and slammed him away. Crystal rolled over from that hit and led still, Toxi mad that Steelix got that hit in.

Unimpressed with that damn Steelix being so Sturdy, Toxicroak went in for a Sliding kick. Gengar pounced after the Claydol, but Claydol had other ideas, actually firing that Psychic! Gengar fell straight to the ground, completely dazed and damn near dead. Perfect time for a Pain Split! It took a good grip of energy, but Claydol soon felt its health be siphoned away at a fantastic rate.

Oh the other side of the table, Crystal was down and out.

Claydol, not knowing Crystal was done for-went over and tried to snuggle with the snake? Damn. Gengar took a moment to readjust to coming back from death; but Claydol didn't have it any easier. Toxicroak now took aim and fired a Shadowball its way, making that top spin. That also fuilly smacked it out of confusion, just in time to hit Gengar with a Psychic so strong it made the Hypnosis attack miss.

Wow nothing has worked out for me at all this match, I come home from a great night out to see this. Sigh, I guess use Protect to help yourself out then Dig into the earth as quick as possible, don't even let them get an attack on you. Then hope to god they don't use Earthquake while you are under the ground. Then for your third move use Protect.

Is Confuzzled. Does that actually work or has Elf found the ultimate stalling tactic which means i cant win without going down after him?

Well.... Gengar can try a (shrugs) Brick Break then a Sucker Punch and hope it gets in before Dig. After that try a Dark Pulse and see if it can reach.

Toxi start with Bulk up then follow that with the Earthquake once its buried itself. End things with another Earthquake.

Round 5

Almost out of ideas, Claydol tries one last ditch effort. Erecting a shield around itself, it begins to spin like a top. Gengar sneers and tries to beat down the shield, but it does not come to fruition. Toxi, meanwhile, takes the time to flex its muscles. Gotta be strong for this plan.

Claydol growled, and started to Dig as soon as the shield faded away. However, Gengar was quick to the draw, and was able to slug Claydol. The floating mon kept going down though, and Toxi started that Earthquake. Yeap, Levitate works underground, as that ability allowed Claydol to shift with the ground easily, avoiding any harm.

Weak, but still kicking Claydol erects anotehr shield, but this one goes to waste. The earth shifts harmlessly around it, and Gengar can't make a trace on where it might rise from.

Gengar, get down there after it with Shadow Punch x3. If it doesnt work the first time just take a break the remaining 2 actions or protect if he tries any Psychic tomfoolery.

Toxi take a break then Dig down after that sucker and go for a Shadowball.

Ok lets use the fact you're underground to your advantage, as well as UC's subs. Use your Psychic powers to locate the 4 landmines from around the area and lift them into the air above the relaxing Toxicroak and Gengar. Since he should be protecting himself cause he thinks you are pulling some shenanigins. Drop the landmines on their pressure plates after the protective shield has collapsed. 2 on Gengar and 2 on Toxicroak. If this works as planned then Gengar should hit the dirt and Toxicroak will be using his 1 action to dig under then ground and be forced to relax. If Gengar is down by this time and the land mines have hit Toxicroak, wait for him to dig underground and then Earthquake him to high hell. If Gengar is still alive then use Gravity to make him put up another protective shield again and then get in an Earthquake to take him down.

Round 6

Using some Viet Cong tactics, Claydol makes a bid for supremacy. Mental powers burst forth from the ground, as Gengar gets ready to phase through it, but the strange energies have Toxi and Gengar on edge. Suddenly, the land mines shoot up from their hiding places, all three of them.

Two go for Gengar, one for Toxi. Gengar throws up a shield, as this was some sort of tomfoolery of the Psychic kind. Toxi didn't even have the energy to move. The bombs stayed in the air though, just hovering. Gengar was incredibly pissed now.

Toxi still was too weak to move, even as he clawed away at the ground. Gengar tried to keep the shield alive, but nay-it was a no go. The bombs fell with no prejudice, blowing them both to kingdom come. Toxi groaned in pain, and Gengar...I think he may be done for..yeah two bombs hit Gengar and one hit Toxi. No good for the ghostie.

With Gengar down and out, Claydol uses the rest of his energy to force the ground to bend under its whim. Toxi groans, its skin is crawling. It knows something's coming, but from where. Not to mention it can't Shadowball something it can't see! The ground starts to tremor and he lunges skyward. The Earthquake continues, and unfortunate, even he has to land. He crashes in the midst of the Quake and takes a pretty bad beating.

Completely spent, Claydol now hopes to see if it can survive the next few moments..while Toxi sneers angrily. That thing was going to pay.

Toxi has + Def, which was cancelled out by the STAB Claydol gets. Toxi jumped to lessen the effect of the quake-as per Anticipation, and so it didn't hit for full damage.

Gengar blew up a mine thanks to the Steelix clones in Round 2.

I was just wondering because this match you have had a Stabbed Psychic, an Unstabbed Sucker Punch and a Stabbed Earthquake all basically do the same amount of damage.

Ok rather then double posting I will just edit in my attacks.

Lets use the fact you are still underground to your advantage since you probably going to have to pop up next round. So lets just have you relax for now and get back your energy. Yet is he even tries to come close to getting you underground, then Earthquake him. Yet if he does use Role Play to steal your levitate then Psychic him if he gets close.

Well since what was a good battle has been reduced to a cheap ass Crap shoot we may as well do something stupid.

Start with an Earthquake but dont bother aiming at the target, just sinkhole the place. Rip it up. Break open the ground and see if we cant unearth us some cowardly Claydol and make this a fair fight again.

If it does become exposed and responds by trying to use Psychic at you then use Sucker Punches. If not Shadowball till Death.

If it Isnt exposed then screw it, jump up then Hyper Beam straight down into the Arena floor! Lets go Nuclear.

Staying under, Claydol chills out. Levitate works wonders at a time like this. Toxi pis pretty peeved and forces the ground to upheave and shift and rock. When its all over...nope. Claydol isn't moved but the ground is in shambles, Vietnam looks like it got hit by a bomb.

Pissed off, Toxi lunges sky high and fires a massive Hyper Beam down after a few seconds of charging up. Wait-hes not gonna shoot that at the earth, is he?!?!?

Claydol can barely see the white brimming light and freaks, that's damn near over his location! The whole area shakes from the massive explosion, and THAT rips Claydol out of the ground, and sadly, out of the match. Good ploy there!
