Since when did ghosts listen to you? Sableye ties your shoelaces together, and then watches as Banette gets sucker punched by Grumpus with words! Banette doesn't even know what he said that, but Grumpus gets hit for it. A smack across the face. Knock it Off, darkie!

Nutri flings out her arms, forcing leaves to come to her aid as her attacker lurches forth again. This plant must have been pissing Absol off for it to stay so long, and after the first strike, Absol backed off. May not be worth it after all. It turns heel and dashes west!

Meanwhile, Grumpus may have bit off more than it can chew currently, as he went in for a Pursuit. Banette fell back from the hit, and hopped up. A hefty smack came from Grumpus right side, astonishing him! But Grumpus not slammed a Shadowball down into Banette's open mouth

Banette dived on Grumpus, nasty Payback there.

However, before you can get chummy with these guys, a Spider Web descends out of nowhere. Whaa? The sticky string forms a net around the wee critters and, without any warning in the least, an Ariados swoops down from the trees! All the other wild Pokemon nearby scatter in terror. The eight-legged beast looks at his prey gleefully and begins carting them away. Oh my. With that, he's gone.

When you look a few feet to your left, you can see a thicket in which a Caterpie and an Oddish shudder in fright. That Ariados really inflicted its share of terror, eh?

All of a sudden, la Bella acts. The mighty Milotic summons a terrific gale laced with flecks of snow and ice to come whistling through the trees. You can see the move collide with Ariados in the distance, striking him and freezing the little section of forest surrounding him. He seems deterred as he slips and slides on the ice, but you'll have to do more than that if you want to stop him.

After a moment, Ariados and the captive Ledybas vanish out of sight. Bugger. La Bella looks at you as if begging you to let her go after him. She's got the glimmer of fight in her eyes...

Meanwhile, a snow-covered Shroomish pokes his head out from behind a tree stump and glowers at you. Not everyone appreciates the early winter.

Time for a good ol' fashioned Ariados hunt! You and Raffalesia hop aboard Buzzer just as the Flygon takes flight. Buzzer hastens through the forest, with la Bella slithering just behind, and you soon catch up to Ariados and his Spider Web of captured Ledybas. Raffalesia wastes no time and hops of Buzzer's back. She does a little shake, releasing a cloud of white powder that wafts over toward Ariados. Yeah, take that! Ariados, however, is too keen and Protects himself from the assault with a large pinkish barrier. Rats!

The Long Leg Pokemon then tries to pick up his bounty of Ledybas when he stops cold. Er... weren't there three Ledybas just a second ago? One of them must have wiggled free! You look over and spot the escaped Ledyba hovering just above your shoulder. She says her name a few times as Pokemon often do and, though you don't speak Ledyba, you recognize a plea for help when you see one. You must free her sisters!

You also recognize a battle when you see one as Ariados fires off a double barrage of Pin Missile at Raffalesia. Oh, no you didn't...

Still eager for some lakeside fishing, you tell your troops what your plan is. They nod and Big Show takes point, since he's obviously less threatening. Booster growls at that statement, but watches as Big Show waddles over and tell the Meganium the low-down.

Mega looks at you, and then ducks her head back in the forest. It takes a few minutes, but then you hear impact tremors, and she comes plodding out of Ivy Woods toward you guys. With her is a Bayleaf, her child most likely. He already seems to have a bolder side, as he doesn't show and noticeable fear around you.

Wow, ok Absol was on the move. You turn and point to it. Grumps understands, and kicks Banette off. Sableye dives out the way as Grumpus lunges at it, claws outstretched. In one slice, yer free to run! You chase after the wounded beast, and Grumpus quickly takes the lead. A modified "Fastball special" occurs, in which Grumpus Flings Nutri at Absol at an incredible pace. Nutri spins like a perfect football spiral, and cakes herself in a powder.

Absol is hit by Nutri's airborne body and the spores release upon impact, caking the hound and making him instantly fall asleep. Good job.

Until Banette comes from behind you all and coninutes the Pursuit of Grumpus!

You decide the deepest path leads to the best treasure. You walk along a narrow path and reach the start of that ramp. Going down gives you a reason to attain a trot as you go round and round, like a rage staircase. When you reach the third level, you look down at the bottom, and notice nothing stirring. The base floor is very lumpy though.

There are two mining entrances on the fourth and fifth levels!

Raff begins by spinning on the spot, releasing a golden cloud of some nasty spores. This time, the move makes contact with Ariados and causes his muscles to become stiff and noncompliant. This could definitely give you an edge. The buggy tries to execute an attack, but his weak legs give out an he crumples. Hah!

Thrilled, Raff coats the Ariados in Acid, but the warning shot does nothing to dull his battle frenzy. He counters by glowing red and hoisting the poor little Vileplume up into the air with invisible Psychic waves, shaking her about painfully. Raff tries to fire off a green sphere of energy as she's being shaken about, but she can't manage to pinpoint her target and the attack flies off somewhere into the trees.

Suddenly, bright white energy begins to accumulate in front of Ariados. Uh-oh. Is that what I think it is? Raff squirms within her invisible Psychic bounds, but there's nothing she can do as the Hyper Beam careens her way...

...but doesn't make contact! At the last second, the little Ledyba dives in front of the beam's path, taking the hit for Raff. The little ladybug Pokemon collapses to the ground. Talk about dedication!

You whistle to Big Show, and Big show slurps the air. Fatty. Anyway, the tweeting of Swellow and the quick underbrush rustling of many a bug ceased to exist.

Booster spots the danger first, and slowly approaches the treeline. He growls low, but Big Show walks back to you and tells you. But you snort. That can't be right.

A Rampardos? Why would that be HERE? But you hear a earth shattering smash and something crumpled to the ground! Bayleef gets excited, but the Meganium feels largely at edge. Glaring at the treeline, they all watch as the Ramparados seems to stalk on the outskirts, looking for danger.

Absol is sound asleep! You smirk, and tell Nutrigrow to end this. The small plant charges up a massive ball of energy and watches it grow and glow brilliant. Absol doesn't even see the beam coming, but he damn sure feels it. It blasts him upward, and you shoot you ball skyward. It smacks into Absol, and spins as it sucks Absol in.

It lands, and with a shine, its over. Absol is caught! However Grumpus is quick to actually skid back past the ball and lunge forth at Banette. Banette charged up a Shadowball, and threw it at Grumpus. It hit but Grumpus used the momentum and Slashed the living crap out of the ghost. Banette backed up from that slash, but Grumps was all over that phantom.

Banette spies Grumpus charging up energy and vanishes as the Pulse strikes the ground. Grumpus turns around and gets headbutted by that phantom. Damn Faint Attack. As they both go falling Grumpus gets a surprise. A flash of light that blinds him! He freaks and flips back to his feet, but realizes he is confused! That ghost wasn't slow after all. Craap

Well then. You show no fear as you march out toward the treeline. As you get out there, you spot the massive Rock Pokemon, as well as the immense Ivy Lake. The Ramparados is looking out to the lake, and around it are all sorts of rubble, possible from some rock that used to stand there. You call out to it, and the Bayleef stands in front of you, head leaf kinda getting in the way there...

The beast looks pissed off, but it doesn't barrel toward you. You notice its soaking wet, like it just came back from a swim. It shakes its head and..falls over? But its still very much awake and very much aware, as it rights itself.

Grumpus tries to stay still as Nutri joins in the fray. Nutri shakes those hips, and then releases a nice trail of sweet honey smelling scent to calm Grumpus down. Banette ignoring Nutri, went and capitalized on a free hit by smacking Grumpus with a Will-o-Wisp. That's nasty. But Grumpus was soon to vanish, and reappeared, smacking Banette down on its face.

Banette regrouped, and lashed out with a Shadowball again, but poof-this time Grumpus has the advantage. He vanished, and Banette turned over to see nothing but graves and a Bellossom looking up. Banette looked up and receives claws raking her face! Coupled with a nasty set of slashes, and Banette had no other choice but to deliver a nice hefty Payback!

Damn. Grumpus always lands on his back! And that burn was not helpful.

Your Pokemon run to your side, and Ramparados gets up. Seeing the menagerie of beasts near him, he roars. No one moves, as Meganium walks up slowly. Booster, having the hardest head, walks up and butts his head into the ground, smashing a rock. The Ramparados looks at this gesture as an act of kindness and looks down to listen to Booster.

Whats wrong? Ramparados looks back to Ivy Lake, and roars. It then tells Booster. All the Pokemon then stare at it, and burst out laughing. Booster tells you that this guy was fighting in an underwater cave structure with his bother, and they broke a hole in the wall. He plugged the hole with his tail, but was pulled through a wall by some sea creature, sucked out by the current, and then spat out up here. All in all, he wants to bash that sea creature!!!!
